Bead Repair

Hello everyone,
I have been in contact with my jewelry manufacturer and we have discussed the problem many of you have had with the new bead necklaces being broken upon arrival. They are looking into why this has happened. Just for your information, they also manufacture the KJL line of jewelry and the Noland Miller line of jewelry, so they are highly regarded in the fashion jewelry business. I was told that they have used the same thread to string beads for years and have not had such a problem, so they ARE investigating. In the mean time, the CEO of the company has told me to pass this information onto you. If you have received a necklace that was broken they will restring it. You can send it to:
TCJC, LLC
400 Broad Street
Central Falls, R.I.
02862
In the lower corner of the envelope write: Attention Repair Department.

They will only repair these beaded necklaces that are broken.
In my 40 years in this business, I don’t know any other company that was or is willing to do this, so I as the designer, am very grateful that they are more than willing to take this position to satisfy and keep my ladies happy. Of course I am very sorry this has happened in the first place! None of us needs one more thing to cause aggravation and tension in our already stressful lives. Take a deep breath….it will all be good……..much Love, Louis

Thank you for your immediate response. I returned my necklace to QVC. It is very nice of the jewelry company to make this offer.
You are certainly an adocate for your customers and have gone out f your way to rectify the situation.

    Thank you,

Louis! Wonderful pictures. You look so relaxed and Jac is THE most elegant woman. I am thrilled to hear the tortoise necklace and earrings are coming. I bought the long one that Jacques C. offered and love it, but I am looking forward to having one with tortoise links, as in contrast to the discs. Welcome home to the both of you.

Wonderful news Louis, thank you for looking into this. Unfortunately, I already sent my necklace back. So is QVC going to send the the manufacturer the whole bad batch or is this just for those who are in possession of a broken piece? I am just wondering whether to order another or wait until the fixed batch comes back in stock. Thanks!

No, they will not send them back because many have been delivered and they were fine. So it will be a case by case basis. QVC doesn’t even know that my manufacturer is taking it upon himself to do this. Most manufacturer would just take it at a loss., but my manufacturer knows how important my customers are to me and he stands behind his product…..but unfortunately stuff happens…..only God is perfect.

    Dear Louis,

Thank you so much for taking care of this. It is much appreciated by all of us. I can’t think of any other designer of your stature who would personally work to fix a problem like this.

Dear Maria…..you misunderstood. This is not the CEO of QVC who is doing this. It is the CEO of the jewelry company. Yes they will fix it. I see no reason to hold off ordering either piece if you want it. Better to have it now and if it is broken have it fixed now than wait.

Thank you, Louis. I lean toward the purple necklace with its unusual coloration. And praises for the right CEO!

Louis, you are quite simply—A Prince!

    Dear Louis,

This is excellent news for those who already own the broken beads. The move on the part of QVC’s CEO is laudable, as is your championing this concern. I have not yet purchased the necklace. If I do so in the (near or distant) future – and the string breaks – would I, too, qualify for a free restringing?

Is it better if everyone hold off on ordering this particular necklace (and matching bracelet) at this time?
