“BUTTERCREAM SUPER PONTE PANT”

……………………..I’ve decided to do a sneak peek on the BUTTERCREAM SUPER PONTE BOOT CUT PANT……I think there are categories for pant colors. BLACK has its’ own because no one has to think if a black pant will work in their wardrobes, that’s a given…….Then there are the second tier colors, or the classics such as NAVY, GREY, WHITE and IVORY. The third tier colors are colors everyone should own, but sometimes question if they need them….like OLIVE, ESPRESSO, KHAKI, CAMEL, DK FOREST GREEN, WINE, PORT  etc. They are neutral colors that can work with many things. Then there are the fourth tier colors. All of the so called “fashion colors” such as pink, sapphire, red, yellow, green, alabaster etc etc. I put BUTTERCREAM in this fourth tier, because it is a color that many woman will find hard to imagine mixing in with what they own……So…..I decided to to show, in pictures, a few different ways to mix buttercream with things you may own. Starting at the left you have the Cathedral top in Almond, The matching Buttercream satin shirt [coming in Feb.], the Yellow plaid blazer, the Desert kimono, the Spice Cathedral, and the Black tank and gauze crepe blazer……I think you will find Buttercream can be a beautiful soft neutral color. It can become an easy option to mix with what you own as  the Alabaster, and Linen color pants were. There are so many solid colors that will also look great with BC……navy [wonderful with buttercream], grey, pink, aqua, lavender, red, khaki, chocolate,  to name a few…….So when you evaluate Buttercream think of it as neutral color and not just a “fashion” color……………………enjoy……………………much Love…………………….Louis

The photos of the buttercream pants looks lighter than when seen in person. I received mine today. They remind me of Kerry Gold butter with a slight brownish cast (to my eyes). Very nice color to wear.

Hi, Louis! Back in the day in Dallas, we all started wearing our “winter pastels” right after the new year. They often were billed as Resort Wear, but we school girls also wore them! There were beautiful wool flannel skirts and pants and fluffy angora sweaters. We would also wear our Navy and Winter White clothes at that time as we got closer to Easter, both looking forward to Spring. Dallas was considered the style capital of the Southwest, primarily as determined by Stanley Marcus, and we had about 6 different style cycles throughout the year. We did lots of changing out of our closets back then! XXOO Barbara

Thanks Louis I plan to order since I own all the other colors, it is such a great unexpected neutral to some folks.

Love the buttercream color Louis will that color be coming in a skirt (ponte knit) down the road and a WK tank?

Dear luvitorleaveit…..there are no plans to go further with the buttercream color until I see how it sells.

    Thanks Louis!

I own the almond cathedral print top & I like the pants with the desert striped kimono. Looking forward to ordering the black satin blouse. I did order the Petite buttercream pants.

    Hi Louis,

Will these pants go with the vanilla pebble crepe tunic for a column of color?

    Hugs,
    Bernadette ,

Bernadette, they work perfectly! Wouldn’t have thought to put them together!

I’d boost Buttercream into Tier 2, right under Black if it were up to me! Versatile, looks great on everyone, goes with everything … and very hard to find. Guess I think I need the pant 🙂

Hell Louis, I’m sorry for bothering you again but I’m excited about my new purchase and planning my new wardrobe. The buttercreme blouse your showing will that be available in other colors? I’m hoping for pink in that blouse and also pink pants but the buyers won’t do that in this day and age. So I ordered the buttercreme pants and have to have three suede jackets pink buttercreme and loden to go with my faux suede pants. Thanks for getting my new year off to a great start with these great new outfits.

Sharon the blouse and matching tank were ordered in the buttercream, black and Loden…..all matching the faux suede

Louis, I’m on the fence about this color. Does it work with ivory–like the ivory lace jacket or the the ivory gauze crepe tops? What about caramel, like the faux shetland cardigan or caramel blazer? Do you see these a spring pants or winter pants or both?

Love the look of the satin blouse and tank, but not sure I’m ready for yellow pants.

Carol….it does work with ivory, but it’s really beautiful with caramel. The two warm colors really look good together.

I see this as more as a spring/summer early fall pant, but with black or charcoal grey it can be extended further. Also depending where you live. Maybe in Minn. it’s better not to wear with 3 feet of snow, but in the southern states definitely. They really don’t scream yellow! Photos are hard to capture color.

Buttercream is a lovely flattering color. I intend to purchase pants, tank, and shirt.
