“FEBRUARY SNEAK PEEK # 10”

February Sneak Peek # 10 is A232349, THE SCOOP NECK DRESS. The fabric is the same 96% Rayon/4% Spandex as my BODYSUIT and DANCE SKIRT. This dress has a BEAUTIFUL scoop neckline…… which has a very FINE PIPING…………The sleeve is a modified DOLMAN. There isn’t any armhole seam in the front, but there is one in the back. The hem of the sleeve is also finished with a very fine piping. The dress is approx. 44 1/2 inches long from the high point shoulder. Another way to measure it is…..it has a 26 inch long skirt from the elastic waist band. The pleats in the front of this skirt, which create a beautiful drape and also give terrific camouflage, are similar to the A222262 dress, that many of you own. This dress, as the one just mentioned, has POCKETS too……hidden in the seams. There is a FINISHED ELASTIC WAIST BAND, with enough stretch so there is no need for any zippers. The dress comes with a fabric covered belt that has a slide buckle……..to be worn or not. I am sure you own wonderful belts that can take it’s place, but it is actually a nice belt. There are THREAD loops on the dress for the belt…..if they bother you…..cut them off. The colors are……………………..BLACK…………………….BERRY…………….The difference between the RUBY of the body suit and the dance skirt and this dress is…..the berry is a DEEPER DARKER RED…..the RUBY is a TRUE CLASSIC RED……….both beautiful colors. The fabric , as you already know if you own anything in it, is super soft on the body and extremely comfortable. This a machine wash dress which makes it very practical, and a great travel piece. For anyone who loves the ease and comfort of a dress, this is an ESSENTIAL. With the change of accessories, you can wear this dress anywhere, any time of year, for any occasion……………..I know , for those of you who choose this dress, you will get years of enjoyment………P.S…… This dress in black…….reminds me of Sophia Loren…….so I am calling it the “SOPHIA DRESS”…………..much Love…………….Louis

I’m…going…CRAZY…for this dress. Is it the light weight rayon/span, the medium weight or the heavier weight. Just want to plan my foundation from the top down. Thanks Louis.

      Dear Cela
I would consider this a medium weight. It is the same fabric as the bodysuit and the dance skirt. It is also the same as the tunic that was done in the black, truffle and Limoges blue. It really is the perfect weight for this dress.

Love everything about this dress! Is the sizing pretty standard for your line, or is it the more generous QVC sizing? Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear debby,
I think it’s pretty standard. What ever size you normally buy in Linea, that is the size I would suggest. The dress on the form is an XS and the form is an XS and it fits perfectly. You can see in the photos without the belt how well it fits the form.

The drape neck tunic with asymmetrical hem is also made of the same material as this dress.

Chris ……..that is correct. As you know there are many different qualities and a wide price range for rayon/span blends. I am using a very fine one that has been tested for ware.

    Dear Louis:
What a great tribute to Ms. Loren. For those of us who need to have something to wear as a jacket or sweater, would you suggest one of the new whisper knit shrugs, or is there another piece coming that would work with it? I love the idea of it for travel, but know I’d need a wrap of some sort. I adore this fabric and the colors you’ve chosen are perfect!

Dear Carol. the WK shrug will be perfect….and I do have others coming this season. Even the WK classic Cardigan or the WK Kimono that will be part of the spring “On Line Group” would all work with the dress. I would even LOVE the jean jacket worn over this dress for a more casual look…..a sporty belt and banded flats would look great.

    Dear Louis,

Your “Sophia” dress is a “me” dress. Now, how could you overpower me with such perfection after I’d already apportioned my funds and was certain no additional sneak peeks could tantalize me? There will be some fierce decision-making going on, I’m afraid, with probably black and berry winning out (even though I already own the body suit and skirt in ruby red).

I’m learning the hard truth that if one does not grab your fashions right away, there is a strong possibility that one will never get to claim them.
