“THE PLUM AND PINE TANKS”

……………………………….PLUM and PINE are two of my MAJOR fashion colors for Fall……Pine is more of an accent that will work with a beautiful new plaid blazer, and PLUM will be in EVERYTHING! From the BIG DEAL sweaters to jackets, pants, and skirts…..Plum is what I call a “blackened color”. It’s deep and dark and becomes a neutral that will work with many colors. The Burgundy Glitterati necklace works with these colors beautifully! Even better than the pictures show!! Unfortunately, the photos make the Burgundy glass beads look red, which they are not……The beads pick up all of the tank colors………………….enjoy…………………………..much Love……………………………Louis

Got the plum and pine tanks and Burgundy Glitterati necklace. Arrived today and I cannot wait for other items in these colors. WHEN will we see more?

  2. Julia

Louis, what pants do you have with pine and plum tanks?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Julia….to tell you the truth I just grabbed anything out of my storage room…..The Pine tank is with the green faux suede pant. They aren’t a perfect match. I’m not sure what the color name is of the pant with the Plum tank. I know it’s not the reddish wine color, but I don’t remember names. I should write the color names in the labels! There will be Plum bottoms to match and blend, plus a jacket and cardigan

Would you combine the plum with magenta? Like the A297864 dark magenta lamb jacket?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Absolutely…they will look great together! I just got in all of my samples in the PLUM, BISQUE, DK GREY, BLACK and CARAMEL……OHHHH LALA! The new jacket in the trench coat fabric is MAGNIFICENT! Everyone will want this beauty!

Thank you for your description of the plum color. It sounds wonderful! Will the plaid blazer be offered in a color combination to go with the plum tank?
Thank you for helping us to plan our purchases wisely.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Chris you certainly could but the Pine is the color in the plaid.

  5. Chris/Jazzmom

Thanks Louis for your response. Once I get the tank I will compare the greens and let everyone know if its a yes or a no.

    Louis,
Please describe the plum color. I love purples with my fair skin and white hair. I know you said it it blackened. Is it more of a blackened reddish purple? I once had a dress in a color called plum that to me had a brown undertone. I never felt that color worked for me even though I liked the dress. I can wear black, but not brown.
    Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris….If I had to chose between it being brown or red….it’s definitely red. There is no brown in it at all. It’s a DARK rich plum like the fruit.

You rapscallion, you! Here I thought I would get a bit of a breather from Linea this Fall; I focused too hard on your Bisque, I suppose. Not a good color for me. Plum and Pine have knocked me out. They are good for me!

Once again, I have been captured by Linea.

    Hi Louis,

I ordered the tobacco tank to go with a tobacco WK bolero from several years ago (I believe A232520). I’m tempted by the plum but should be sensible. If it’s the same plum in a WK big deal cardigan, I would probably choose the cardigan over the tank. Tell me I’m being sensible.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sierra, the cardigan is open front, no buttons, so you will need a layering piece….There are two choices in the WK….the tank and a sleeveless TN

  9. Grace

Louis, I just read we’re getting a WK midi skirt! Happy, happy news.

  10. Grace

Louis, how does the plum compare to your blackberry? I’m assuming plum works for blondes? And, do you have any midi length skirts in the queue? Looking forward to this beautiful color palette for fall/winter.

Louis – the new boucle plaid sounds beautiful! I better get the pine tank to go with it. 😊

I ordered the plum tank hoping it was the blackened color you spoke of earlier this year. Yay! Can’t wait for the other items in this colorway.

P.S. Boucle AND plaid? They are my favorites–I have a Linea jacket that was multicolor tweed (and a little lurex in it from years past), still love it. I’m going to be the cutest thing in debtors prison.

All colors are must-haves but I’m loving the plum!! Like others, I’m trying to plan my purchases. I’m guessing/hoping the short skirt and jacket in the trench material will also be available in the plum?? Can’t wait for sneak peeks. Will be nice to see how it all comes together.

Can’t wait to see the new plaid blazer too so I know if I need the pine tank. I wish the Q posted all at once as a collection.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Unfortunately the plaid won’t be posted until Sept as it is a new item, but it’s a beautiful Boucle plaid…..it’s primarily Pine and black, with accents of Magenta and a little fuchsia

  14. Chris/Jazzmom

Remember the gauze crepe ivy green pants(A302680)? Would the pine tank work with that pant or is it closer to spruce or forest green? I see this below the desert kimono (in my mind) as a nice contrast with all those brown shades.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Chris….I do remember them, but I no longer have that sample so I couldn’t give you an answer.

Thank you, Louis! Plum is my main neutral and I’m limbering up my credit card for a happy season.
