Louis I read a article saying QVC is owned by a company out of Milan and then they also bought HSN but that is when all the trouble started and then the Covid19 hit and now it’s all a disaster. Does the Q produce your designs and the inventory is there’s and you have no control after that or do you have all control about design, fabric and inventory. Well you and Lou could sell the clothes from home now that you’ve mastered the video I really enjoy. Do we really need the Q to get your clothes?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon…..I do not believe that is true. QVC is an American company. I only have control over the design and the fabric. QVC is the buyer so they have total control over the inventory because they bought it and own it. There is no way for me to sell the clothes on my own.

    Hi Louis
My new bisque tank arrived. I love the color as well as the soft feeling of the whisperknit. Will the new matching cardigan be of the same fabric or in your every needle rib whisperknit configuration?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Joanne the cardigan is actually neither….it’s a rib

Difficult and challenging times but you would think our Q would have their business model perfected with an ability to adapt. How long have they been in business? On to something that brings me joy – you! I’ve had plenary of time to pull out my clothing racks and truly play with the contents of my closet. My bedroom was a mess for 3 weeks while I was having fun but what the heck! I’m awaiting the arrival of your new jacket, I ordered navy, but it has not been 4 weeks so I know it’s still on its way. I hope your new skirt, black petite, arrives in August. Thank you for all that you must be doing behind the scenes. I’m disappointed in to hear about the Q2 channel programming changes. No matter how you are programmed I’ll find you. Take good care.

Possibly should have paid more attention to customer service eg. Shipping and Handling.

I am still looking forward to your bisque Big Deal Cardigan and bisque suit jacket. I have already purchased your bisque tank and I am on waitlist for the bisque petite pants. Certainly QVC’s future will be interesting.

    Louis,
I have been watching how QVC has been operating during these past few months and what I see is they have missed a golden opportunity for great sales and distribution! They need to hire someone from Amazon to show them how to maximize their potential. Amazon continues to deliver on time and QVC has messed that up completely. I do understand they were in the midst of changing over their shipping warehouses when the virus came about, but I do wonder why they continue to struggle so much. This should have been a time of great growth because they have such a wide variety of products and with so many folks at home with a computer and time to shop the untapped potential was there. I know I am just on the outside looking in with no professional knowledge, but I just hate to see what is happening to you and your struggle to present your beautiful designs. I do wish you had another vehicle to present and sale your Linea line on.
I am not liking this new normal at all, but I know we have no guarantees for the next day of our lives. If the other Linea ladies are this frustrated, I cannot imagine your stress and frustration level! Thank you for all your updates and I did order the black lace skirt with expedited shipping first thing this morning!😋😋😋

Thanks, Louis. Sounds like I need Bisque Ponte pants. I like a pinker beige. I also like light color pants. Thankfully we have your website for videos. We can be sure to get a good look at the Big Deal group even if use don’t know when it might show up on QVC.

We’re pretty starved for whisper knits, in case you can’t tell. LOL

I saw a message on the website yesterday saying that QVC2 was going to be all reruns, but I thought I must have read it wrong. Some serious belt-tightening going on there with hosts being let go and shipping being absolutely ABYSMAL. Returns and exchanges require an act of faith. I no longer expect anything to arrive in less than 30 days, but I simply cannot resist the “jewels” you’ve designed this season.

I had decided I don’t need any more skirts, and then you come along with the eyelet skirt, the long wk skirt, and a silver mesh skirt. The Blue skirt is already a done deal. I cannot resist anything Sapphire.

Color question: How does the color Bisque compare to the Linen of the A302601 Ponte knit crops or the Beige of the A304658 knit tank? I might need Ponte pants in bisque

All this QVC confusion and virus issues in general are probably making your decision to stop on-air appearances seem pretty prescient in retrospect. You are so lucky to have had Jennifer fully launched before all this.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol….I really have no idea what’s going on, but it seems a lot is happening. I get bits and pieces from all different sources. Someone hears this someone hears that. It’s all not very good. I too heard QVC2 will not have live shows anymore which isn’t good for me. I used to have a lot of QVC2 shows. Now they have to squeeze all of us into QVC1. I don’t know how or if they can do it. They will still have Big Deals but where, or I should say when will they be aired….I have no idea. You don’t have to worry about the jewelry being shipped, because that is done by a separate ware house, and they are pretty speedy……..Now, Linen, Alabaster and Bisque…..First they are all similar in that they are all in the light beige family….however the linen has more yellow and gray compared to the other two. The Alabaster does have yellow, but no grey so it is a cleaner color, it’s also the lightest of the 3, and the Bisque has a pink cast compared to the other two. I tried to mix them but I have to say there are things I prefer the Linen with [also it only comes in the crop style], and there are things I like better with alabaster because of the warm yellow tone [much less yellow than the buttercream], and there are so many things coming in Bisque, W Knits, tweeds and prints that it develops into a group by itself…..The beige tank is yet another variation. It was developed to go under the Inset Lace tops. I really never thought of it as a top to be worn on its’ own even though you can……My decision to step back from going on air and having Jennifer take over that role is definitely a gift from Jac, and I couldn’t be happier to be out of the fray.

    Hi Louis
Does this mean your cardigan “Big Deal” is Cancelled on August 18? Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Joanne we haven’t been told what is going on, Since the Q1 shows are still as is they may put them on those shows even though they aren’t great times. We’re waiting to hear. Now that they have canceled Q2 altogether except for reruns….I think….it’s a mess with the shows that have already been scheduled, like mine which are now canceled….Be sure when we hear you will hear.
