“The Red/Navy Tartan with Jac’s Garden Blouse”

………………..Dear Rochelle, Firstly welcome back….you have been missed………..I never answer questions with pictures, but your question tweaked my curiosity…….”does the Jac’s Garden blouse work with the red/navy tartan?”………yes, and no…….There are those of you who would never ever consider mixing prints with plaids….not even the mini floral that was deigned to go with it….so this combination is way out of your comfort zone….For those of you who like to mix, and are more experimental in how you dress, this is a combination I did find interesting. So, why the yes and no? For you purists who want everything to match perfectly you may find that the red ground of the print is to tomato for the red in the plaid, and yes it is, but it doesn’t bother me. I like the off handedness of the combination, and if you already own the pieces definitely put them together….especially with jeans which makes the whole thing more casual. The black ground print of course doesn’t match the navy of the plaid, but the navy is very dark, so once again I didn’t mind them together, and the colors in the print work with the plaid. You didn’t ask about the ivory ground print, but since I was experimenting I gave it a try too, and I like it a lot. None of the colors clash, and it was sort of like wearing a white shirt……For the skeptics you could always try one of the Jac’s Garden scarves. Mixing a print scarf with a plaid is perfectly acceptable to most………………..I hope this answers you question Rochelle, and don’t be a stranger!

……………..much Love……………….Louis

    Patricia,
Thank you! I’m having too much fun. Not only with the Tartan jackets but the whole fall collection thus far. I dearly love and collect alot of vintage Linea garments and have found so many that I’ve been able to incorporate with the latest offers. Like the old chewing gum jingle…”double your pleasure, double your fun.” ‘Cept I’m tripling or even quadrupling, or more with all of the mixing and matching I’ve encountered.

    Hi Louis,
I paired you black velvet top with the flounce under the Green Tartan jacket. I love the look! I think I have the Buttercream tank too. I just had a clothing rack collapse. My fault. It really wasn’t that sturdy to begin with. Looking at some pro built options now. What a mess.Buttercream tank is under the avalanche on the floor. 😯

OOOH, Rochelle, I LOVE your idea and, of course, Louis’ additions. Gives me a whole new prospective on the plaid blazers. All the best, folks.

    Dear Louis,
I love Jac’s Garden with the Red Tartan! Thank You So Very Much for the
Pics!!! WOW, I was practically bowled over this morning. I suspected the combo could work and these pics will be very helpful for me and others considering the mix. I have many vests also, and think a buck, luggage or saddle leather or suede would be a great addition to the look. Denim and thin quilted too. I like stripes with plaids also. Black and white with the Green Tartan is very sharp. I’m looking at A347448,the ruffled front floral print you offered in black, red, sapphire and grass green to possibly pair with the blazers too. I’m following your suggestion and have been play, play, playing in my closet. Now to find an animal print that’ll work. Did I not hear a new one was coming?

Thank you for your warm and special welcome back! Looking forward to the upcoming offerings and I won’t be lurking anymore. Have a great day!

Rochelle….there is a very small animal print coming, but I don’t have my samples yet. You got me thinking of other possibilities. A while ago, last Jan?, I did a mate satin blouse and tank. I know the butter cream would work under both and the black would look great under the pine blazer…..No more lurking….join the party…..and no mask required here….LOL
