“THE BISQUE DRAPED WRAP NECK TOP”

………………..The DRAPED WRAP NECK TOP  is something I have been wanting to do for a long time….A384501 is the style number of this MOSS CREPE KNIT TOP…This is the last new apparel item for the month of Oct…..I wanted it to look like you wrapped a scarf snugly around your neck and across your chest. It has to be draped just right, and have just the right tension…..not too loose where the drapes just droop, and not too tight so it’s uncomfortable. There is a RETRO HOLLYWOOD LOOK to this top that reminds me of glamorous movie stars of the past….There are stitched pleats starting at the back neck, and as they come around just passed the shoulder seam they are released to form drapes……..The front and back of the top has PANEL SEAMING which create a body grazing shape. The draped sections are sewn into the panel seams in the front. Make sure when you put it on the seam allowances on the panels where there is the connection are going in the right direction so they lay as smoothly as possible…..there is some thickness at the join from the layers of fabric…… The drapes should fit close to the neck so there is a little tension for the drapes to fall correctly……The sleeves are straight, long and finished with a simple hem. Since this top is in the Moss Crepe, which has a lot of stretch, you can easily push them up if you like….The draped neckline looks beautiful under so many different necklines. Jackets, and blazers of all shapes look great with this top…..Cardigans get a fashion boost when paired with this top…….Above, I have paired it with the new Tweed V -neck Jacket, and the Bisque riding jacket……The bisque also looks great under both Tartan blazers, and picks up the light color thread that runs through both plaids…..It was also designed to go with the NEW TCF BIG DEAL TOPPER………..Many different types of necklaces work beautifully with this top….Above the Jet Glitterati and the new Bisque Arte Moderne pendant……………enjoy……………………..much Love………………………….Louis

Thank you Louis. I was comparing black tops with my lilac top so it make sense. Black it is!

I seem to have some moss crepe items that have a more substantial, heavier hand than others. If that is the case, would you consider this piece more substantial? I love this top as I can wear wraps but not t-necks. Thanks for the great clothes!

Dear Teri…..I only use one weight of Moss Crepe. The fabric yardage is knitted all at one time and then divided by the amount of yardage needed per color, so it is all the same. That said some colors like black can seem more substantial than other colors because the fabric has to stay in the dye bath much longer to get the saturation need. This does swell the yarn some and can make one color seem a little heavier than another. Black qwill alkways seem a little more substantial than a paler color or white, but not to a great degree.I do not consider this top more substantial than any other I have done in the past. For this top all of the fabric was knitted at one time so if there is any slight difference in weight from one color to another it is due to the color not the fabric itself.

There’s lots of seams and with godets, there’d be even MORE !!!
Oh well, so much for TWIRLING … in my new dress
    this CHRISTMAS and VALENTINES
And my birthday in August and ….the Pres.’s Inaugural…numerous movie
Premier’s… the Oscars. Sapphire would be pretty with the leather jacket.
Oh well, I do have that same old shaggy dress.
The dresses sold on clearance ONLY because women who shop at QVC are smart enough to wait..

This is such an elegant design. Sooner or later we’re going to need a nice dress for multiple occasions. Would you , at least consider converting this blouse to a fit and flare dress design. Louis, Can you see this in a gorgeous dress??? Do you think the other Linea Ladies would like it?
    Ciao.

Sear Cela….I could see it working in many style dresses, but dresses have not be profitable at all. In my 20 years at QVC my best dresses have not done well enough to be reorders and only sold out on clearance.
