“ISN’T IT TIME FOR A CELEBRATION!”

……………………..Aren’t you sick and tired of all the talking heads saying this and saying that….all the political BS….all the different and contrary stories about the disease and the vaccine…… all the poor people  getting sick and dying…..should you wear a mask….shouldn’t you wear a mask…..OF COURSE YOU SHOULD…..what is the matter with people!!! Don’t you want to WASH your brain clean, and get rid of all the loud NOISE…..don’t you sometimes feel you want to STOP the world and get off…………….I know I do……………So, why did I post this lovely picture of the embroidered skirts in the midst of all of this?……..because we have to CELEBRATE BEING ALIVE!…….When I hear women say I have no place to wear this…..I say create a reason create a place to celebrate and get dressed up…..Have a fancy dinner for you and your husband or some friends….Have a dress up Thanksgiving….if you’re still here you have something to be thankful for….CELEBRATE…….Have a dress up Christmas Eve, Hanukkah, or Christmas Day……..MAKE up a reason to celebration ………I know we are tired of it all, and it takes effort to even create a celebration……….You just may feel better after these 7-8 months and going of nothing but horrible stories……………………….It wears on the brain………….it wears on the heart…………………..it wears on the SOUL………………………….

GET DRESSED UP………………………..LOOK PRETTY………………………..FEEL PRETTY……………………………BRING LIFE BACK INTO OUR LIVES……………………….CELEBRATE!

Louis, I just love your encouragement today! I tell my boys to be a light in this world. A light will shine brighter the darker it gets. Everyday I get up and think how can I spread God’s love to everyone and what can I do to help others here and far away? Let’s all do that and what an amazing difference we can make in the midst of all the things we cannot control! Let us be encouraged and not tire of doing good.

I wear your lovely clothes every day and it brightens my day. If I am exercising or gardening, I tend to do that earlier in the day and then change into my “afternoon Linea wear”. Kind of like the ladies of old did! I am absolutely planning on wearing my fanciest Linea this fall and holiday season, even though it is likely to just be here at home! It makes me happy and I love to see my husband’s eyebrow raise at me….that’s how I know he particularly likes an outfit.

Love and hugs to you and all the wonderful Linea Ladies!

Thanks Louis and Thanks Grace. “Long slog” kind of captures it. I live by this credo. Today for example I have on a Linea Navy mockneck sleeveless WK from bygone years, covered by the quintessential nautical cardigan with goldtone knot buttons (A00140) which is just like new ( though bought in June of 09) in butter yellow. This cardi just makes me feel happy. Also have in Linea navy and Ivory and they are equally great. It was 28 when we got up this morning. Fingers crossed for our garden which we did cover last night. 3 more nights of frost threat and then a week of nights in the 40s. When, after all we have been through this year, horrible fire damage on the west coast whose ashes reached us earlier this week on the east coast happened I asked dearest hubby “What’s next?” Whatever it is there will be lovely Linea in my future as I play with new designs and vintage Linea treasures. When a 11 year old sweater gets a rave comment from dear hubby, it tells the Linea story in a nutshell. Thanks again, and as always, for all of the beauty!

Dear Louis…You said just what many of us are thinking and feeling. It’s been a long slog with no end in sight thus far and it boggles the mind how people are resisting science-based advice–wear a mask! Social distance. Trust Dr. Fauci! Had everyone followed his guidance, we wouldn’t have the highest level of infections and deaths in the world. Which leads me to all the light and joy you bring us at a time when we need it the most. Because of you and all you create for us, we are inspired to create reasons to dress up. You’re so right–being alive is a lot to celebrate these days. Thanks for helping us all get through this tough time.

Hi Louis, Do you know when the Compass necklace will be available? Trying to decide if I should wait for it or go ahead and get the Bistro on clearance now. Obviously, doing both would be a great option, but I can’t have it all!

Yes! As you know I have special reason to celebrate life this season :). Dressing nicely, looking good, or even just a WARM and cozy WK sweater on a chilly dentist appointment day makes SUCH a mental difference. Thank you, Louis for all the love and beauty you bring to our every day lives 🙂

I am new to the blog but have been wearing your clothes for some time. I just loved Jac and how beautiful she always looked. I know she is happy to see you helping the ladies during these difficult times.
I enjoy the description of the clothes and the many ways they can be styled. Thank you so much !

I purchased both black with silver as well as Latte version of this skirt. I had purchased vivid blue when it was first offered. I wore the vivid blue skirt to a wedding. Everyone commented on the skirt. I intend to wear the black with silver appliqués to a black tie wedding with a black bugle bead Donna Karan body suit with silver sandals, silver Ripka jewelry. I am glad I purchased all three skirts. I am saving the latte for another event. These skirts are absolutely gorgeous!!
