“THE MIDNIGHT WK LUREX SWEATER”

…………………The MIDNIGHT WK LUREX SWEATER……………A390844………is a BALLET NECK style sweater……A question you all want to know……”is it soft or scratchy?’ The answer is absolutely no….It is not scratchy!……There are many qualities of lure yarn, and this is a very very fine thread which makes all the difference. Combined with the Whisper Knit yarn it becomes a very soft blend….I can not guarantee that for those who are extremely super sensitive they will not feel it, but no one who has tried it on feels anything…..I think it’s more the case of “The Princess and the Pea”.Of all the lurex color yarns I could have chosen I decided I wanted as dark a navy lurex as existed. I wanted the effect to be subtle not garish or bright, so it can easily be worn during the day or night…..It is also a sweater that can be worn all year long….The sweater has a raglan long sleeve, and the sweater is slightly shaped so it isn’t boxy, but gently follows the lines of the body….The neckline is an open ballet finished with a tubular band which frames the face. It also lends itself to many different types of necklaces…..Originally I developed the sweater to wear with the Midnight Navy sequin pant, but as I “played” with it it soon became apparent that it was much more versatile than I first thought. It looks great with jeans, navy ponte pants white jeans, trousers and crops or Capri pants come spring. In Dec. there will be a navy faux suede pant too. Wear the sweater under all types of plaids, tweeds and colors of blazers and jackets…..even a jean jacket. There is really no end to what you can pair this sweater with…………..Above, I have accessorized the outfits with the new SWAG necklace and earring in the GUNMETAL/MIDNIGHT, the five strand COUTURE NECKLACE and earring, and to the far right, the new CARINA pearl necklace……..I know you too will find many things you already own to pair the sweater with………………………………..enjoy………….much Love………………….Louis

Dear Louis, Ooh, that NAVY … oooh it’s so beautiful! My favorite. But how could one resist the Black, and that Alabaster is stunning. I love that ballet neckline, so perfect to show off jewelry. I’m sure this sweater is kitten soft; if there is any “itchy/scratchy” concerns, a light camisole underneath usually takes care of any such issues. My siblings dubbed me “the princess and the pea” LOL.

QUESTION, if I might: How would you compare the fit of this lurex sweater to the blouson V Neck WK? I had to size down in that but this looks like a closer fit?

Cathy glad you asked that question. I think this knit is a closer fit than the blouson sleeve so feel safe to order your normal size….you won’t have to size down.

My heart is Set ON NAVY! The navy looks so fresh and new. Looking at the sketch, I love the way it’s constructed. Yes, to the navy!!!
And the blazer too. It’s gorgeous, the TCF. Is it as vibrant as it looks here, Louis? I love it for its density and softness AND comfort. Going to need both of these and the jewelry, They come together perfectly. Can you talk more about the weight and density of the ballet? It looks featherweight. Am I right?

Dear Cela, I would say the photos are pretty accurate. I don’t use a flash and try to keep it with just natural light, but the days are getting shorter and I do have to put the over head lights on….Tomorrow we turn the clocks back! Lou will be arriving to take care of the girls in the morning in darkness!!!! I’m staying in bed!!!! LOL The sweaters are very light weight . I don’t know if I would call them feather weight, but I think you will love the weight they are…..not heavy or thick feeling at all……something you would want to wear in the evening or anytime.

I own the Linea vivid blue embroidered skirt. Do you think your new blue lurex sweater will look good with that skirt.

On another front: I thank you for your tuxedo jacket and your lovely embroidered skirts! The embroidered skirts are such show stoppers. I purchased last year both the Latte and vivid blue. Everyone always comments when I have worn them.

No Joanne…..better with the black lurex, which will work with all of the emb skirts….even the wild flower emb. skirt

Dear Louis, what a beautiful sweater! That elegant ballet neckline was the initial draw for me, but the yarn you selected is beyond perfect offsetting the typical lurex scratchiness and making it soft & comfy to wear. I’m ordering every color & can’t wait to wear it! I also have my eye on the Carina pearl necklace…I’m happy I’ll have a few new pieces to wear this holiday season at home, including the new navy sequin pant!
