…………………… The second group of August 2001…..had even more suede with appliques, and another blazer coat with zig zag seams, and a long A-line suede skirt with zig zag seaming……..A silk charmuse shirt with leaf patterned emb and a sweater with embroidered leaves and vines going across the top was also part of this group. There were two prints both on silk satin charmuse….a floral and an Heraldic  pattern……and yet another tunic shirt, which were growing stronger and stronger in popularity……another style I introduced to QVC to go with my leggings!….LOL

Ah, yes! This is when I first tuned in! I had never watched QVC, nor did I even know what it was, when I was channel surfing and discovered you presenting your show. I stopped surfing immediately to watch your show and was quite blown away. As I had never before watched QVC much less ordered from it, I was somewhat hesitant to place an order. I decided to risk it and in an act of faith ordered the Forest suede jacket with the purple appliques and the silk charmeuse blouse of the same colors. Ray thought I was crazy!!! When my jacket and blouse arrived I was thrilled with both! Back then, they were properly wrapped and shipped in a box. So that was the beginning of my Linea addiction. A close friend seriously thought that I needed an intervention LOL! That jacket, BTW, looks wonderful with the Pine/Magenta georgette blouse form this last fall’s collection. My jacket still looks as pristine as when I bought it. “Good Design is Forever”.

So beautiful! Love all the bright colors, prints, styles, fabrics and leathers—wow!! How interesting to see how much has changed, certainly no silk and wools of yesteryear but you made up for loosing those by bringing us the best of the best new fabrics in later years—how fortunate are we who missed those early pieces to have your later pieces. Love seeing the older pieces, your sketches and your memories of them. Thanks for doing this, Louis!
