“FEBRUARY 10”

……………………………Feb 10 was the start of a new year. It officially marked my 10 years at QVC even though May was the official anniversary date. The start of a New Year meant new beginnings…..a hopeful start to a New Year….but who was to foresee what lay ahead!??….The jacket at the top left was in the same woven fabric as the jacket with the ribbon and pearl trim. It was a short A-Line jacket at 23-24 inches……It had an open neckline with a flat spread collar. The diagonal seams had 1/2 inch top stitching as did the rest of the jacket. The band sleeve and the front had bound button holes with pearl buttons…..It was fully lined and came in Pale Pink and Navy…..There was a matching pencil skirt perfect for Easter………….The next “Shaker Rib cardigan was fully fashioned and had a zip front. It came in White, Petal Pink and French Blue…..The pull over sweater was all about trompe l’oeil or “trick the eye”. It looked like a cardigan but it was all fake. It looked like a bolero sweater worn over a V neck. The “bolero” had a stand collar. The banded V-neck front had buttons that worked but the bands was sewn closed. The wide bottom band hugged the hips for a nice shape. It came in Black/Ivory and Navy/Chambray Blue…..The next sweater was an elbow length sweater with a twist. It had a mock neck and a wide bottom rib border. It also had a placket front that started from the top of the mock neck and ended at the rib band. It came in Spring Green, Red and Ivory…….The next jacket, in a BRUSHED COTTON STRETCH, had a casual vibe with the exposed zipper front and gold nail head trims. The 24 inch jacket had interesting and unusual details starting with the wide 2 1/2 inch band at the top . The entire jacket had  3/4 inch top stitching. The separate cuff had a curved shape with a hail head to keep it in place The wide bottom band with the nail heads anchored the jacket……….It came in White with Red and Navy with Spring Green………..Let the 10th year begin!

What pretty spring colors, pinks and blues and sportier
Combinations, too! Love the white and navy jackets with their matching sweaters. I can’t get over how much I missed. :-(. But there is SOMEONE in the QVC
Family with good news! Stan Herman just got a Land Rover DEFENDER !!! In a luscious silvery green color. He is
92 years young. And his advice was “buy new” and stay
Young by treating yourself! What a sweet guy!

Stan was my guest teacher at Parsons! I know him a long long time!
