“THE CORAL & NAVY TSV PEPLUM JACKET”

………………………CORAL and NAVY is a special and exciting combination, and yet very classic…….This color Coral always reminded me of the beautiful real Coral beads that I would see in the window of one of the jewelry shoppes on the Pont de Vecchio in Florence Italy. If you have been to Florence I’m sure you know the shoppe I mean. It is near the beginning of the bridge on the left as you are walking over the bridge away from the city….The windows were always filled with all shades of the most beautiful coral jewelry……You can see very clearly the peplum in the back at the upper right. The fullness of the peplum was concentrated at the center and became less as it got closer to the side seam. From the front the peplum wasn’t seen……………This became a very successful jacket in spite of the “peplum” concerns!

I’ve kept my two jackets, and the matching sweaters. I stopped wearing them when jackets became less popular but I will start wearing again when the weather cools a bit. I have the coral and the purple. Seeing the pictues here makes me all the more enthusiastic about wearing them! I wish now I’d gotten the ivory and the navy too. I recently went through a closet that held many jackets from several years ago. I eleminated many of them (not Linea). Many were really very nice, but I knew I would not be wearing all of those in retirement and some styles just do not suit me any longer. I’ve put some of them aside to donate in the autumn. I figured best to donate the clothes in the right season. But I never considered getting rid of the Linea. In fact, I bought more Linea blazers this past year!

Marie, what was old is new again!!!! and you’ll look just as stylish as you did the first time you wore them!

        Louis,
And they are so very comfortable to wear! The fabric has a lot of give to it. Funny that I remember this, but I recall hearing a comment made in a presentation about how the models especially loved this jacket! I think it was said that one of them (seems like maybe Kate) owned several colors.
