“LOOK BACK THURSDAY”

……………….Recently, my brother found this photo of my mother. I had never seen it, and it wasn’t one of the photos she had shown me. I have no idea where it came from, but I’m so happy my brother found it. He didn’t know when or where it was taken, but I knew immediately. It was taken on her Florida honeymoon in Oct. of 1938. She was 28 years old. It is one of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen of my Mom. I love everything about this picture. She looks so happy, natural and fresh. Her red wavy hair blowing in the wind looks so carefree, and her outfit exemplifies what beautiful taste she had. I’m sure my Dad took this picture. He finally won his princess.

I spoke of what I saw.

Both your dear mother and your dear Jac were beauties.

In real life and at the same age, your mother and Jac may not have looked extraordinarily alike. However, from the shadowy and distanced perspective of this photo, I sense/see a sort of pre-figuring of Jac. It has something to do with the chin and jawline and the general build.

It is what I see. So strange. In this photo, to my eye, there is a suggestion of the next major female in your life.

You are right in your vision Goldie. There have only been two completely extraordinary and important women in my life….my Mother….and…..Jac. My mother would be flattered that you see a similarity between her and Jac. They were both beautiful!
