“SAMANTHA”

………………Since Lily has passed away Sammy has been my shadow….my constant companion…or should I say we have been each other’s companion. She has taken over my reclining chair in my office where I watch TV so I gently have to move her to the couch which she loves just as well. She really is a funny dog….my little baby was just 11 years old, but she still acts like a puppy………She’s a real daddy’s girl.

No, it isn’t custom. It’s an electrical recliner that almost goes to complete vertical. When I broke my shoulder on the ice years ago [I think I was on QVC in a sling] I got the chair. It’s great. You can google electrical recliners.

It must be lonely for Sammy without Lily. Thank goodness you have each other for companionship. My daughter tells me that my current dog (who is 13) should be my last. She believes that as I age, taking Jack for walks, finding someone to stay with him when I travel etc will be a burden. We shall see… I can’t imagine what a totally empty house would feel like.
Cat makes a good point about your recliner. It is attractive. I resisted having one in the house because of the way most of them look. I finally relented, and found an attractive recliner – which my husband loved. After my husband went into a memory facility (Alzheimer’s) I sold our home and bought a smaller, more manageable home for me. I kept his recliner and now can’t imagine life without one. They are so comfortable. It is where I read and watch TV.
P.S. I enjoy your “Quotes” and often pass my favorites along to friends.

What a sweetie pie! How did Sammy react to Lily being gone? Any period of depression? Sammy is now the undisputed queen of the house.

Louis, she is so adorable and looks lovely in your recliner and on top of that beautifully crocheted afghan! I do have a wuestion if you don’t mind answering………….was your recliner custom myade? It has such nice proportions, not at ll bulky and heavy, the arms are very attractive as well as the fabric. Many years ago when working for David Easton, he had a client who insisted on a lazy boy recliner. We purchased one, sent it to the upholster, had him strip it down to the frame and had it turned into a Marshall Field chair. One of the most amazing recliners I have ever seen. I have a close friend that is in need of one but hates the way they look. He would like yours! Thanks so much! oxoxoxo Cat
