“THE FEBRUARY 2013 LINEA COLLECTION-PART ONE”

…………………..There were two Linea shows in February 2013. The CAD above features the main show. It comprised of EIGHT NEW PIECES and THREE REORDER PIECES……Starting at the top left of the new items….there was a semi sheer jacquard single button jacket. It had the effect of a “burn out” knit. Next was a clip dot georgette blouse with a self bow tie. Next and just below, the Crepe suit. The jacket had three buttons and many body seams to give it a perfect fit.. Next is the WK Tank with the waist whittling ribs on the torso to the hem. On the second row at the left is a drawstring dress in a jacquard Ponte knit. The pattern at the hem started as a solid and then graduated upward with a speckle pattern…..almost like a birds egg. It was an easy relaxed dress and the drawstring was pulled through metal grommets……Next, the Faux De Chine pleated skirt with a hip yoke…..Lastly, the Ponte knit stripe cardigan with the cascade front. There were to be other pieces that worked with this open front cardigan……Among the reorders was a tiered georgette skirt with a pleated hem……a WK Mock TN with an elbow sleeve, and a Hounds Tooth check jacquard cotton swing jacket. It had three quarter sleeves with a turn back cuff and a stand collar that also could be turned back……………February was always the official start to Spring.

Good morning, Louis! I am loving the retrospectives of your 2013 collections! I have bought a fair amount of your pieces through the years. Now through resale sites, I am collecting pieces not bought the first time around. I have to tell you……your clothing is SO WELL MADE…..every piece I have bought looks brand new…..not a thread or button gone astray; no pilling knits or weak seams.
I recently bought the black bejeweled jacket on a resale site. It is spectacular! Every jewel still in place, jacket shape still perfect and so beautiful! I am wearing it to a wine-tasting this coming Tuesday night with my husband. I am so thrilled at the prospect of wearing that jacket and styling the outfit to go with it!
I wear your designs 90% of the time. I might throw an odd piece under a jacket or something utilitarian when taking the dogs to the park. The rest of the time-it is Linea by Louis Dell’Olio. Why? Because of the confidence it gives me! I KNOW I always look nice and so pulled together (big,BIG fan of your jewelry too). MOSTLY……I wear your clothing for the complements!!! Young and old and in between and best of all….complements from the husband!! Last week, we were out to dinner. I was wearing the perfectly pink WK tunic tank with matching long WK cardigan, faux suede navy straight pants and a your pearl/gold necklace. Of his own volition (I didn’t drag out of him haha), during a lull in the conversation, he said….”You look pretty tonight”.
    THANK YOU, LOUIS!!!
    And have a great day-you magic-working genius!!
