“HAPPY HALLOWEEN!”

…………………For Halloween I do all of my decorating on the inside of the house. I used to get lots of pumpkins and bales of hay to display them on, but the squirrels ate them before Halloween even came…..The squirrels use to leave a mess, and drive the girls crazy…..which in turn drove me crazy……..so no more outside decorations…..The kids don’t come down my long driveway anyway so who was I decorating for…..the mailman?…………….The above photo is one of my displays inside the house….It’s a little display on my kitchen window shelf……The Skeleton….the Pumpkin and the Cat are surrounded by my Zinnias from my  garden……………These little happy creatures make me smile, and that’s a good thing………………………..HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy Halloween, Louis! Adorable display! The zinnias are a nice touch of color.

I LOVE them! But more importantly, you still have Zinnias? I keep forgetting your protected coastal environment which we had when we were still in Annapolis. Squirrels, however, are everywhere and do love a good pumpkin. I still get a big one to carve because I just crave that smell of burning pumpkin when lit from within by an actual candle flame and the spooky glow at Halloween time. After it’s over, the squirrels get their treat in a corner of the back yard, our corgi, Billie, gets the fun of chasing them, and they all get their exercise.

It’s been extremely mild here with temps still in the 60s. The trees still have lots of green leaves though they are begging to change. In past years by Thanksgiving the leaves had all fallen off the tress but I don’t think that will be the case this year.

    Happy Halloween Louis.
Like you, these days I keep my Halloween decorations to a minimum. I do fall decorations and just add in a few things for Halloween. I’m already looking forward to decorating for Christmas.
