“ON THE ROAD TO HANA”

…………………..If you have ever been to Maui, Hawaii one of the suggested excursions is taking a car ride to the town of “Hana”. The actual highway is approx. 64.4 miles long of winding roads….mostly at the cliffs edge. For drivers who attempt this trip there are places to stop a long the way to see the tropical rainforest and waterfalls…..On one of our days off during our stay on Maui, we, Jac, Joe, Connie and myself decided to take this drive…..not really knowing what we were in for. We should have realized the tee shirts that were being sold that said “I made the trip to Hana” was a warning! So we rented a car and on our merry way we went. I was the driver. The photo is of Jac at one of our road stops where there was a lovely waterfall. Out of the car we got…took our pictures, and back in the car continuing our trip. We finally made it to Hana, had lunch, looked at some shops and started back…I can tell you for the driver this is not a fun trip. You really had to keep your wits about you on this windy road……When we got back to the hotel I had a huge headache, but everyone loved the trip and the beautiful views of Maui. I got a great picture of Jac….which unfortunately is fading with age.

We believed the t-shirts and hired a van to take us to Hana. It was a beautiful trip but best to leave the driving to the experts. They also know the best food stops! LOL

Any comments on the Met Gala?

There were some beautifully dressed people, but unfortunately the press only covered the horror show. It is so different from when I attended when it truly was about glamourous people in incredible clothes and jewelry. The attendees were the most sophisticated and beautiful people of NYC and around the country.. It was definitely the elite, but it was about class.
