Introducing the brand new WHISPER KNIT SHAWL COLLAR SWEATER, A237409. I have to say, as all of the Whisper Knit sweaters are, this one is made superbly. The body, sleeves and collar are all in the EVERY NEEDLE RIB construction, which for me, is the ONLY way to make this style sweater and especially the fully fashioned collar. I would compare this sweater to any sweater produced in ITALY today. It could not possibly be made any better!!!. This style also features the WAIST WHITTLING RIB BAND that so many love and find very slimming. I think the two major details…..the SHAWL COLLAR and the WAIST WHITTLING band, work very well together………it UPDATES a shawl collar sweater and makes it quite sexy. I have shown the collar three ways…..totally bare with nothing under it…..with a scarf criss crossed at the neck………….and in the photo at the extreme lower left…..wrapped and “pinned” to create a ….higher to the throat look…………..yes that is a pierced earring I used as a pin……they work very well….as long as you don’t have the pin part sticking out into your neck…LOL. If you would like to try wearing it this way, as an alternative., I would suggest steaming out the fold mark in the collar first…..which I did not. I have simply paired the PEWTER sweater with my BLACK CREPE PANT, A232347/A232348 for petites, [the pant never had any air time], and my GREY CHENILLE BLAZER, A218572, which many of you already own. The SWIRL EARRING, used as a pin, is J284008, but it’s going fast. I doubt many of you have a sweater quite like this, so I think it would be a nice addition to your WK collection………………..enjoy………much Love……………….Louis
Can you tell us whether or not A210360, the jewel neck sweater with long ribbed cuffs has been re-ordered? I have this sweater in grape and teal. I would like to buy black, but all the XS sizes are gone.

Dear Catherine…..YES….it is due in September. I am not sure if it will be avail before my Sept 25th show or not, but black is definitely coming back plus the new CADET BLUE and the new CLARET RED.

How do the FJ pants in the smoke look with this pewter sweater over it? Do they clash?
Louis, how does the new pewter sweater look with your slate grey ribbed knit pull on skirt A09484? Do those greys work together?
I just noticed that the WK skirts are 26″ long in my size – the old ribbed knit skirts are 23″. I’m still going to get the black WK – it will be fine with boots – but I love that shorter length and I’m going to scoop up “extras” in the ribbed knit skirt. It’s my “go to” and I can’t imagine being without it!

Dear Enjay….the two greys are both warn greys so they look good together. The new Pewter is paler, but they look very nice together. If you love the A08484 skirt, I would advise to stock up now, because it has not been reordered, and I doubt it will be reordered in the future, so it may have hit the last of it’s run…….I think 5 or 6 years. If it were up to me it would just keep going and going , but I don’t make these decisions.

Oh my, Louis, with all these style and color choices, I think I need a giant cork board wall so I can pin up and rearrange all the possible choices until I can finally decide on what I want to order. I know for sure, though, Ruby is one–and Malachite, I think—oh, wait, there’s Pewter, too—oh, and Fuschia—good lord, get thee to the cork board! LOL!!
Love that you took one of the pierced twirl button earrings to use as a ‘pin’! My goldtone and gunmetal earrings arrived today and they are lovely!! They are going to be a workhorse in my jewelry wardrobe. Thanks for a stunning set of earrings.

It is like Candyland, Louis! If you promise that there will be enough for us to buy more and more of these gorgeous garments over an extended period of time, it will all end well. However, because there are so many goodies and most of us cannot buy everything we want at once, we must buy only some now and hope to buy more later. There is such a bounty of beautiful things this time around, that is for sure. My hope is that we will be able to return to the candy store again and again, and the shelves will be fully stocked. (Of course, we want everything to sell, but then we want it fully stocked again.) We will be sad if the shelves don’t have what we want.
I don’t think it’s too much all at once. But then … we haven’t seen the OTHER new items which are coming. I’m trying to get the WK OLO items I know I’m really, really going to want to have and still…at the same time … keep a little re$erve for the upcoming show. That’s been an “interesting” juggle 🙂 I’m pretty happy about getting so many basic and go-together items.

Love this Sweater – and the Pewter colour – am buying all things Pewter – so far the Skirt, Cardigan, V Neck Tunic, Surplice Sweater (this Surplice Sweater, V Neck Tunic & Tank were available to order after midnight – no pictures – a Linea Lady posted that they were up for ordering so I did – but they have now been removed!)

Seka, Around 3:00 AM I also saw the post and promptly ordered the cardigan, skirt, tank, V-neck, and surplus WK. At the time it seemed being an insomniac was a good thing. Since I’m generally optimistic about life, I do believe that the order will come through. But if something happens to it and I miss out due to sellouts, I will be sad not to have the pewter column of color or the WK cardi and tank to wear with the boho like Kate from LDO’s last visit. Thankfully there is more to come from LDO for the fall. There are good things just around the corner.

Dear Carmille, I’m so glad you like it….I think the proportions of the shawl are perfect….not to wide or narrow, and it looks terrific worn on the inside of a blazer or the outside….not an east feat to accomplish.

You know how that goes……I have no idea what criteria QVC uses for deciding what LOL pieces get reordered. I think they have to sell out before they would even consider a reorder, but I don’t know that as fact.
