……………………..Through out my 50 plus years designing clothes…….SAFARI and MILITARY clothes have always influenced me………During my years at both Anne Klein, Bergdoff Goodman and QVC….periodically a garment or theme of safari and military details would appear. It was always fun for me to come up with new ways to introduce them…………In the sketches there are two completely different outfits wit the same theme…..On the left there is an olive georgette long tunic/dress with high slits and military large pockets……..worn over an orange and dark olive striped tank bathing suit….The low slung double wrap belt, leather hoop earrings, strappy sandals, small round sunglasses and the turquoise beret finish the look…….To the right is an olive safari cotton poplin shirt with the back longer than the front. Underneath….is a turquoise halter, backless TN bathing suit…….Again the double wrap leather belt and an orange beret finish the look……I personally own a slew of safari and military shirts, jackets and pants in a variety of fabrics and colors for different seasons!
