“THE SIENNA FLORAL MESH TEE”

Floral top1

The SIENNA FLORAL MESH TEE, A237559, is a brand new fabric, and is just starting o be shown as a TREND for NEXT YEAR….so you’ll be way ahead of the curve on this one. The fabric is very unique. It is a JACQUARD knit, so the pattern is knitted into the fabric. It has the look of FLOCKING, which is very HOT…….only this is BETTER………..Flocking is applied, and after time can come off. That is not the case with this since it is a separate yarn that is brushed to give it the dimension and texture it has. Think of a burnout chenille…,,,,.This is also a DOUBLE DYE PROCESS…….most of the similar fabrics I have seen for next year are solid or a single dye process. The mesh ground is black and the floral pattern is ..SIENNA….This is a some what sheer fabric where the mesh is so there is a TRICOT KNIT attached [at the shoulder only]  tank…………Both fabrics are STRETCH so it is very comfortable. The fabric of the top is RAYON/NYLON/SPANDEX and the tank is 100% poly jersey. This is a terrific piece to be worn with BLACK jeans and boots or dressed up for a dinner out. I have it shown above with the black pants from the last show [which also came in the caviar and camel], and the new POSH KNIT CARDIGAN in BLACK. She is accessorized with the new ROOT BEER/GUNMETAL BEADS and the new GUNMETAL CROSS…..of course the GUNMETAL LOVE KNOTS look GREAT too! There is a black stretch piping at the ballet neckline, and the sleeves are long. Everyone is always looking for something unique and different…..this top is both….it’s Fun, Feminine, Sexy, Conservative, Demure, Casual and Dressy and more……plus it’s washable…….that is a lot for one top……………..enjoy……………………much Love……….Louis

Oh Louis – Sienna is a favorite color that I adore with Black. This will make a perfect pairing with my Black Sunburst skirt!

Can the Mesh Tee be layered with a Black WK Tneck?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sure….why not….in Alaska you need layers.

      1. Pamela

You bet I layer come Dec./Jan. when it’s sub-zero. Was just unsure of the stretch of this gorgeous textured fabric. Know I’m gonna love it! Excited for your upcoming show!

BTW, my Aunt in the Midwest still owns your ‘original’ Horse Bit necklace & she has a full archive of vintage Anne Klein waiting for my taking upon my visit with Family come next Spring! Told you LDO – you have a long reach within my lineage DNA – LoL!!

And my Aussie friend from Melborne has become a Linea devotee – she orders her stuff thru her SIL in Southern California who then ships to her (lucky they’re the same size). You Fan Base is growing & growing Dear Designer!

        Thanks for your time.

p.s. Aunt says she has a beautiful double-peplum Black wool suit that would make me weep!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Oh my……I remember that suit and it WILL make you WEE…..it is so happening now! It’s in a beautiful Italian wool crepe….if it’s the one I’m thinking of.

          1. Pamela

Yes, Double-peplum jacket – TDF! I’m so lucky that GREAT taste in Fashion runs deep in my family. She said it’s spectacular!

You bet I layer come Dec/Jan upon sub-zero temps. Was just unsure of amount of stretch this gorgeous textured fabric would allow. I own the Silk/Cashmere
in Black too! Perfection – know I’m gonna love it!

        Thanks for your reply.

Maybe I spoke to soon. I forgot about the attached tank. It would look strange…I think….to wear a TN under the tricot knit tank, and I don’t think it can be removed. You would have to show it to your tailor. Then you would have to wear your own or maybe the tailor can save the tricot one???

          1. Pamela

Nonetheless, love the color, love the texture & it will look great with my Blonde locks!

            Have a great day.

  2. Beryl

When is this gorgeous top going to be available? I must have it and the PK cardigan.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Beryl….it’s all part of my Sept 24th show t 5pm

  3. Sherry

Would you put this with the tuxedo suit that’s coming in Nov?…or what you have in mind for that suit???

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No….I’m purist…I like a white cotton or silk shirt for a more casual look….a black tank or cami, a charmuse tank, and I will have a BLACK SEQUIN SHELL that matches the Black sequin skirt…for a drop dead entrance making look. I would keep the under garment solid.

      1. Sherry

Black sequin tank, sounds fabulous, don’t have anywhere to wear sequin to in our lifestyle, but I love to look at it. I have a wool top hat that I purchased from hats.com a few years ago, I get a lot of looks when I wear it, it’s one of those attitude pieces. I would love the tuxedo worn with a white shirt…hummmmm…..I might could do that, maybe with my top hat…LOL

LOVE this color with BLACK… LOVE, and I’m ususally the one requesting fuchsia and hot pink pieces. Do you think I could wear this with one of your longer black skirts and black opaque tights and heels?
Louis, I was telling the women on the Q Boards that I have more than half of my walk in master closet, and 2 other large closets, plus a huge armoir and enormous wall unit with large drawers and shelves. STILL NOT ENOUGH ROOM. I’ve started a little stack of my new Linea sweaters and now have to overhaul my closets and drawers. Much of this is because your pieces are so drop dead gorgeous and classic, that I have and wear most of the original items that I purchased when you first came to the Q, many years ago. THey are still timely and knockout pieces that get me a lot of compliments.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

NYC1….YES as long as you wear black tights….it’s the nude leg with black pumps and a long skirt for day that I don’t like, but hey….that’s just my opinion and I’m sure there are designers out there who would disagree with me. it just looks unbalanced to me…..it’s the pumps….if it were a strappy sandal…….I’m fine with a nude leg.

  5. Cathy Dassler

Louis, I adore this! It has some of the same feel as the lace one from last year; the one with the black or purple liner … I lived in those, and really look forward to this in BOTH colors :)))

  6. Sharon Santourian Holman

OMG….are you kidding, this is gorgeous. I am cleaning out my closets, both colors! Because of the stretch, I’m assuming we should not size up? Louis, your designs just continue to blow me away. They just keep getting better!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sharon….do NOT size up….there is plenty of stretch and it is not a tight garment.

  7. Dariann

FABULOUS AND THE NEW GUNMETAL CROSS IS ALREADY ON WAITLIST!!!!

    1. Sherry

It was on waitlist at 2pm central time when I looked. Seriously, it was online for 6 hours and sold out…

  8. Mary

I’m in for this one in the Sienna – just beautiful, and who doesn’t have lots of black to wear with it?! Love the lace, love the color and love the length.

Thanks also for including the tank underneath – I like having it included/attached so that I know it will fit properly and be of a compatible fabric. I have to say that as much as I loved the clipped dot blouse, finding the right undergarment to wear under it has stopped me from completing the sale. I know, so silly, but that’s my own little hangup and I wonder if others felt the same.

    1. jmarie

      Mary–
I’ve found that nude, leotard style, no lace or embellishment, shapewear (either one piece or camisole) works best under all my sheerer fabrics. Look around for the lightest, most comfortable fabric for you. Flexees used to make a brilliant one, but they discontinued it. I prefer these to a loose camisole because they are more invisible, and don’t shift position.

    2. Karen in WA

I have all 3 of the clipped dot blouse. A plain nude spanx works great. I also like Kathleen Kirkwood in pink and ivory (Adds a little sholder pad – good for me) I have a black Susan Graver cami I wear with the black one. sometimes with a jacket, just wear a matching or skin color bra. It really is easy, and that blouse is lovely. Don’t size down, enjoy the generous drape.

    3. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary..I decided not to add the tank, because I felt it would jack up the price unnecessarily. When we fit the blouse, we all decided that a simple nude spank would work perfectly or a cami…so we didn’t include one. Most times we do unless we feel that you lll will have something already……just trying to save you gals MONEY!

  9. Carol

Yes, yes! I have to have both!
