“HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!”

IMG_4030

HAPPY NEW YEAR……………….can you believe it……2014! I remember how excited everyone was on the eve of 2000…………..now it’s 14 years later……………It should be all of our resolutions to make each and every new day a special one, because you never know what the next day will bring……. Jac and I attended my friend, Barry Ort’s service and his sudden and very unexpected passing makes it even more profound how each and every day is a blessing and a gift…………..I pray for all of us that this new year brings all of us joy, happiness and good health, and for those of us who will inevitably have to face hardships……that they are few and that they aren’t too heavy for us to bear……………………….God bless everyone!………………….Happy New Year to all……………………much Love………………………..Louis, Jac and the girls

Happy New Year Louis, Jac, and the three princesses :-). Happy to read that you are hunkered down and ready for the storm. We are ready here for what will likely be much less snow and wind. Hopefully roads will be clear for travel by theater time. We are hoping for the same here as several in our movie group are going to see “American Hustle” with dinner together.

Yes, hopefully we will all enjoy the blessings of the coming year. And also have the strength for adversities. XXOO

Please accept my condolences on the loss of Barry Ort. He was a joy to watch on QVC.

My husband and i just got back from London and Paris. I wore all my WK T-necks, V-necks and tanks and sweaters and i was so comfortable indoors and outside.

Wishing you, Jac and the girls, as well as all my fellow Linea ladies, a very healthy, prosperous and blessed new year.

Much love back to you…Fran in GA.

Happy New Year to you, Jac, and the girls! I’m trying to stay up until the year changes here in the South, but it isn’t easy for this baby boomer! The biggest joy in our lives this last year was getting a puppy (Pembroke Welsh Corgi) for the first time in over twenty years! This five-month old is making our lives so much more happy, and I can’t imagine life without him. Blessings on you and yours in the new year!

      A Corgi puppy!!!!!! I love Corgis……congratulations.

Thank you, Louis! Silas was just outside enjoying the big snowflakes falling but unfortunately not sticking on the ground. A few weeks ago we had about half an inch here in the Nashville area and he romped excitedly. We need a good snow here for him (and us) to enjoy! Stay warm as I hear you all are getting some rough and cold weather!

      InStitches49,
I got a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Rosie, a couple of years ago, not knowing much at all about the breed (though I did do some research to see if they are good with small children as not all small breeds are). I have always had big dogs, Goldens, Labs, etc. Well, I couldn’t be more delighted with my new companion, especially after I taught her not to herd me by nipping at my pants cuffs. They are delightful little personalities. Enjoy! And Happy New Year to all.

FreddieMac, Thanks for your note! We had another Pembroke Welsh Corgi over twenty years ago when our son (now 29) was in kindergarten. He only lived to age seven though and died of cancer. We’re hoping this little guy lives a long, long time because he is a joy. Yes, we’ve worked on the no-nipping, no herding “Mom” and “Dad” and “Big Sister” (our college-age daughter). The worst thing is the shedding, so we brush/comb a lot. But personality-wise you couldn’t ask for a sweeter, more loyal puppy. (Now I know Louis and Jac will say their puppies are that, too. Who wouldn’t say their own puppies are the best though?!)

I have a black, white & tan Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Sugar, although we have been calling her by the nickname Shu Shu for years. I got her as a rescue when she was a year old. I was her third owner in that first year of her life. She’s managed to train me very nicely in the 11 years since then. She has been a delight even when being stubborn or bossy. Such a lot of personality. We like to say she’s a short dog, not a small dog. Enjoy your new puppy. Happy New Year to all!

Japanese tradition calls for a New Year’s Haiku:

    Silent falls thick snow
    Golden warmth mere memory
    Whisper Knit rescues.

Best wishes for a wonderful 2014–

Oh My, My! We received much more than lovely clothes when we began collecting your exquisite clothing – we acquired a caring friend! We’re learning much more than how to have class in dressing, but also how to behave and express ourselves with character. A Most Happy and Blessed New Year to you, Jac and all the Linea Ladies!
