Dear Diane….that is so out of my control and hands. If the Palm Frond group sells as quickly as the Fish Pendant, I will certainly get on the phone and have a strong discussion about getting a reorder ASAP, but for me to do that it really has to sell WELL. Unfortunately, with new items, their policy is to wait and see if there are a certain number of returns before they place a reorder. With the Fish pendant I had some leverage since there was history of it selling out TWICE in a matter of hours……keep alert!

Actually Cela, it doesn’t make that big a difference. The two that were removed sit high on the chest almost to the shoulder. The necklace worked on certain necklines but not all. The new version works with almost everything.If you hadn’t seen the original you would never miss the two fronds……..
You are absolutely right, I’m wrong. It is a stunning design and I can’t wait for all three pieces…how sexy they all are! And how perfectly they will accent all our summer Linea designs garnering us unlimited comments and envy! Think of this necklace with the new Whisper Knits in white. Devine!

And, what is the length of the “fronds” on the short necklace?
Your answer will help me decide (1)what neckline would be best and (2) if the earrings length will work for me.

Jackie, I’ll get back to you, but I can tell you if the length of the earrings are a concern to you…they are probably too long.
Dear Jackie…..the frond of the earring, the part that will hang from the ear lobe is approx. 3″…..the frond of the necklace is approx. 3 1/2 “….They are definitely long earrings. We did try a shorter length but it lost all the grace and movement. The definitely aren’t for everyone, but for those who can….it’s a spectacular look…..they bring all the attention to the face.

Louis- Are each of the palm fronds on the original the same length? I love the 7 frond necklace and am thinking of buying two of the Q variety to make one 7 palm “Q” frond. Do you think that is possible? BTW love the original chunks of the links in the original. Would pay dearly to have the Q duplicate…..oh well, not going to happen!

Dear Solandra…..the Q’s version of the necklace is modified. There are two less fronds and the chain is definitely finer. You would be surprised how much the price jumps using a thicker, bigger chain and adding two more fronds. All of the fronds on the original and on the new version are the same length….they were copied exactly. What you are asking about adding the two fronds is possible because they are attached to the chain with a ring that is easily opened. I will say I was very pleased with the new version and didn’t miss the two fronds that were removed. “They’ felt it was more wearable with the five fronds instead of 7, and for the most part it is less extreme and for many, it is more wearable. If you want the 7 it does work and does look fabulous as you can see from the photo of the original….so….if you want it……go for it……you can always wear the 7 frond necklace and the 3 frond necklace together, having the 3 frond hang lower….now that would be a double WOW!
Thanks for the suggestion! I love your idea of wearing a 7 frond and 3 frond together. Two necklaces will be coming home to me if I am fast enough in the ordering process.
You can probably also use the fronds from a pair of earrings to make a 7 frond necklace, if two of the necklaces are more than you want to do. I used a pair of the tortoise earrings to turn one of the tortoise necklaces into a belt. (I also have a pair of earrings to wear–and I used the findings on the tortoise earrings I took apart to make a permanent pair of the pearl drop earrings since I had multiples of the drops.) Customizing the jewelry for your needs is simple with some jump rings and some needle nose pliers.
Carol….I am proud of you…that’s using your noodle….using the palm frond earrings to add onto the necklace would be cheaper than buying another necklace, however, remember the fronds on the earrings are 1/2 inch shorter…it would not look bad, but they will be shorter than the others.
And one I intend to collect!
