“THE TEAL WOOD BLOCK PRINT DRESS”

May show 201423

The TEAL WOOD BLOCK PRINT DRESS……is a combination of a very dark teal and a paler teal for a tonal effect. Again, I want to emphasize this is not a fitted dress. The bust measurement is the measurementĀ  you should look at, especially if you are large. Sometimes, in jersey fabrics with a lot of stretch, which this has, a larger chest can pull the armhole forward which can create the effect of a too large armhole. We have checked this very carefully on our plus and missy models. Undergarments can also play a bigĀ  part in the fit of the top of the dress……..The dress has PRINCESS SEAMS to give a gentle fit……This fabric will fall into the body, following the lines of the body WITHOUT CLINGING!……..It is a very flattering fabric and the print does its’ job to conceal and camouflage………..scroll down……………………………………enjoy………………………….much Love……………………………….Louis

I think this teal dress would look wonderful with either the topaz jacket with seaming details or the PK chili pepper jacket over it.

I am excited to see the teal print. I love prints and I love dresses for the summer. Thanks for bringing this print in this color for the summer. I think this would look good in lime also. Hopefully there will be few returns and new colors available for reorders.

I wasn’t sure about this at first, but when I scrolled down and saw the teal, I made my decision to purchase! It is beautiful. We spend much of the winter in California, and I have accumulated a lovely wardrobe of maxi dresses and hot weather clothing from your collection. I always buy my California winter wardrobe from you in the spring! Which color of your WK long sleeve cardigans would you recommend with this teal dress. Thank you.

Dear Barbara, I don’t really have a cardigan in any color close.mi did try black and that looks OK.

Thank you so much. Just wanted to make sure there wasn’t a sweater in the blue family that I should consider.

Beautiful dress–love the fabric and teal color. Seems like it may be long enough to hit at the top of the knee. Louis, will the jewelry also be available?

NO the necklaces are Linea, but we didn’t buy them because we found out they use child labor, and we haven’t been able to resource them with other suppliers. I always wonder what these children will do when we pull out. There’s no one there to take care of them so they will continue to work as long as the factory stay open ….and then what?

The hubby watches The History Channel and is interested in all news about foreign countries…he was saying that some of the children work to support the families of sick parents/grandparents, and like you said some have no one and have to try and support themselves. I do not support sweatshops, dangerous/unhealthy work places and the like…but, are we really helping in the long run by not having work in those areas…these are different Countries with different living standards than what we have in the US, to these areas child labor is accepted and is a normal part of their society…I too wonder what happens when the work is taken away and that is their only way to support themselves/family…just thinking…

I know as a company we made the right decision, but I also know that taking that business away is going to hurt these children more. They need the little money they make badly, and until their governments make major changes nothing is going to help these poor children and their families. It was difficult to learn that children were being used somehow in the process of making or shipping this beautiful jewelry. These children don’t want to give up their jobs they need the money so desperately….it’s all so sad.

The peacock beaded necklace (J288007) will work with this dress too, right? The olive beaded necklace will work with the moss green version too?

Yes they look great with the dresses……of course I like them doubled for more impact, but single looks good too.

Love this dress especially in the teal as I’m a “blue” person in my clothing with beige and brown being my next color choices. Often I need a covering for my arms especially in air-conditioned buildings, so I know I can use black as a top in various items. But is there any chance of a top in matching solid colors? (One can always wish, right?) Thanks!
