I have been advised that the v-neck and mock neck sweaters will be avail. “sometime” around my next Sept show. Nothing more definitive than that……..what can I say

    Louis,
Another classy show with perfect classics for the Linea Ladies. I am not going to whine about QVC…they have shown their true colors, so I have very low expectations of them…to bend to our requests. What I am more about is trying to let other potential Linea ladies know what a perfect design GEM you are and to perhaps get them to come on board.

I got an email from Bergdorf’s about their new Fall Jackets, so I went online to see what they were touting as great jackets…Voila, many had your same design aesthetic and sensibility…so I took in on myself to make some comparisons between the jackets… the comparisons related to the similar sensibility, huge huge difference in price and how on trend and current your classics are… I posted it on the community’s general fashion talk, so others than the Linea ladies could see it. I also noticed a newbie Linea lady who wrote about her professional wardrobe being all Anne Klein until she retired Those of us who bought Anne Klein, in the day, when you were heading up that shop, never forget the feeling of perfection when dressed by you. Whether we were heading into a meeting, making a speech before hundreds or going to an important event, we never had to worry about how we looked.

I am literally drooling for those quilted jackets and I plan to buy all three if possible. This is one of my favorite go-to items in life. It is so funny because I had written you about doing a quilted jacket and within a week in one of your blogs, you were telling us you had already designed a quilted jacket for fall.

Glad you guys were safe in your travels to and from the Q and I hope the weather is beautiful for your next show. Your talent and your graciousness is greatly appreciated. By the way, as you well know, if you survived the fashion world in NYC…the Q’s silly machinations, while irritating, do not compare!
    Come on September 12:))

      Dear Victoria,
I appreciate all you have said and I think it is a great idea to let non Linea Ladies know how and why you love the clothes. I have done 25 years of runway shows with the best supermodels of the world and you are so right when you say nothing can compare.
There are jackets coming up for fall that are going to astonish you….the quilted jacket, the riding jacket and the new chenille jacket I am sure you will want in every color. Even my manufacturer, who only wears designer, thinks it looks like an Armani fabric. The pucker suit in Dec. is gorgeous. What I really love about these jackets is…..they all look like they cost hundreds of dollars. They will definitely give anything from the High Enders a run for the wire. I can’t say a run for the money because I beat them in that respect hands down. Have you seen the new Saks catalogue………
      …………disappointing…………….regards, Louis

Hello Louis… Today is September 1st, and it looks like your next show is September 12th. Please, please, please let us know what you’ll have for us in 11 days??? I CANNOT wait and am very excited!!!

    Dear Rhoda,
Thank you for always having my back. I am doing this job for only one reason…..all of you. It gives me great pleasure to design clothes for such wonderful women who have become our friends. The pros certainly out weigh the cons. I have very big shoulders so don’t worry about me.
Concerning the hurricane…..I can tell you if the same conditions arise…God forbid….I will definitely cancel my appearance and if they want to have the show anyway, they can do it without us…..It was really foolish on my part to put us in such danger……never again………..best regard, Louis

Thanks for checking on this for us. I’m sure I’ve hit that item number search button a hundred times! I know we’ve been so whiny about getting our sweaters, but we are just anxious to secure the sizes and colors we need. Once burned, twice shy.

I’m still waiting for my first delivery of the new items, but our weather is “full pebble crepe” right now, so I’m not dying to get the fall clothing in yet. I so love that pebble crepe in the hot weather–it’s cool, but it look like a million bucks. More comfortable than yoga pants and a tank top…wish I could wear them to the gym.

I hope we have more pebble crepe to look forward to next spring/summer. I missed getting the long black pants, and would love to see those make an appearance next year.

Loved your last show and can’t wait for Sept. 12.

    Sincerely,
    crdlb

      Dear Carol,
I will definitely have a few more items in pebble crepe next year. Actually, for my Jan. show I will have two new items. I know it may be a little early to show pebble crepe but at least you will be able to get it. Unfortunately the black pants aren’t coming back…..too many returns….I know there aren’t any to be had. There must have been a big waiting list, but it all depends on the returns.
      …………..regards, Louis

I had a feeling that QVC would list the V necks into their inventory right before your next program! It should have been made available at the same time as the cardigans and tank tops!

Also the pucker top with the removable cowl neck is missing online the individual ‘click here’ measurements. This is the pearl button blazer fiasco all over again! Those were missing individualized measurements too when first presented and shown online. Calls to C/S and to their contact us department resulted in no click here measurements being added to the web page. Maybe a call to the right people from you Louis, might resolve this satisfactorily for everyone.

Good afternoon. While, like everyone, I am frustrated and disappointed that I have to wait until September for the v-neck sweaters, I wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I LOVE the black pearl jacket I ordered. It arrived this afternoon and it is stunning! It takes my breath away. I honestly do not know how you can possibly design such a fabulous jacket and only charge $59 for it! On the QVC.com forum page, I commented that I could easily see this jacket with a price tag of over $1,000. The quality of the fabric, the embellishment and the design/fit are fantastic. [I am running out of adjectives!] I’m looking forward to receiving the pink one I ordered, too. Thank you so very much for designing such a spectacular jacket!

      Dear Lynn,
I am so happy you are pleased with the jacket. I know you are going to love the pink one too. Have fun dressing them up and down. I’m sure you will get tons of compliments……regards, Louis

Well you can show them to great effect with the new slim pant. While I am not happy with the Q in general and with this issue in particular, I am pleased to know that my vees will be coming home to Mama by the end of September!

    1. louisdellolio

Don’t worry…..Mama will be happy in the end!

Louis, How much more disrespect will they demonstrate? I am in total disbelief. I can imagine the frustration you must feel. I know the hours of preparation it takes you to put on each and every finely tuned, magnificent show, and especially this past Sunday morning 8AM (EST) show during a major hurricane that affected a good portion of the eastern seaboard. To compound it Jac and you had to travel during these conditions for only a one hour show that so many were not able to see, and now new items that were scheduled for website airing during this time won’t be available for a few more weeks. The powers that be will be hearing about this. Try to enjoy the warm sunny weather we are having now. Jac and the girls are always there for you, as well as us.
