SNEAK PEAK # 1 for December 2011

Hi Everyone,

Since there is quite a bit of time from now until my next show on Dec. 9th…….. I thought it would be a good idea to have some “sneak peeks ” of what is coming in Dec. Below is item A220044, a tunic. The fabric is new and it is similar to the fabric of the riding jacket, slim pant and straight leg pant. It is a rayon/poly/span blend and I know you are going to love the feel, weight and drape of this cloth……it is beautiful and I couldn’t be happier with it. The tunic is based on the pebble crepe tunic from last spring. This tunic is a little longer, 27 inches for the XS and the sleeves are longer also, but not full length, [notice the sleeve of the turtle neck peaking out]. The pockets are similar to the last tunic and this tunic has bust darts for a proper and balanced fit and hang. The collar is very special. It is a  “U” neckline with a bias rollover band collar approx. 2-2 1/2 inches wide. Notice the collar splits in the center back for an added detail. This tunic will work for women of all sizes and height. The thing I love the most about this piece is it’s versatility. Wear it with nothing under it and a pencil skirt for a dressier look, or layer it with a turtle neck  or the “Kate “/”Robyn” shirt for a more casual look. Belt it or wear it loose for a totally different look. Jeans or dress pants work equally, as well. Remember, there is a matching pant A220049. The colors are Merlot, Slate Blue, Sand and Black………..P.S. the Byzantine jewelry is also coming……………much Love, Louis

    Thanks Louis….beautiful!

Could you tell me if there is any “new” news on the original elbow mock neck sweater that has been MIA for a while? Is the Q still bringing it back at a higher price? I’m still waiting for it, & hope it comes back soon!

      Hi Susie,
The A87423, mock neck sweater will be coming back early next year. I know the black, white and maybe the hot pink have been reordered. The new color will be perfectly pink. I have received the sample of the P.Pink and it looks great. I don’t know what the new price will be but I know it is higher. We kept it at that same price for 4 years…..we just couldn’t do it any more……..regards, Louis

  2. Can't wait for your show!

I wish you could be more frequently present on QVC. I’m a recent “convert” and I’ve bought 4 tops and a jacket within the last 2 months. Linea is Devine!

    Hi Louis,

I’m just so pleased with your fall line! Everything I’ve acquired is exquisite! I’m particularly focused now on how to pair the chenille jackets with sweater tops that really pop. I am very content with matching the taupe jacket with your aubergine “turtleneck kind of gal” sweater, which is a very sophisticated look. I’m a little stumped on what color would be zesty with your steel grey chenille jacket, though. Aubergine would be great, but I’m already wearing your aubergine sweater with the taupe chenille jacket and also with your aubergine suede jacket from your October show, which is also stunning. Of course black would be fine, but I want something that really stands out. Could you please advise? I love this chenille jacket so much that I’ve even gone back for the purple, and plan to match it with the purple turtleneck. I think that combination will be fantastic, as it was on your models for the October show. However, are there any other colors that the purple chenille jacket would look stunning with?

Thanks so much, and just sign me off as…

    Dear Louis,

I love the slate blue with the black belt. I love the merlot with the necklace. And what’s not to love about the black one! Thanks for the sneak peeks! Do you know what time the Dec. 9th shows are?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Hi Celia,
I’m not sure what time, but I believe it’s about 1pm……I think? I will let everyone know when I’m sure…………regards, Louis

What a great, tunic! I, of course, am nuts about the black one. I think they sneak a micro chip into your brain when you cross a bridge or go through a tunnel into NYC – and you’re forever programmed to buy black first! Although I have to admit – I bought cassis v-neck tunic from your last show and I’m loving it – with black slim pants or a black pencil skirt 🙂

Ooh-la-la! Merci. Thank you so much for the sneakies. Now, how about something in violet a la Robyn? I am yearning for violet, or avocado perhaps?

These tops look absolutely gorgeous—just the kind of love–and coming from you will make it even better–I love the colors—will not be able to decide on which to order; thanks for the preview—will give us lots of time to look forward to them.

The Merlot with pants will be coming home to me! I crave reds in the dark days of winter. And of course the jewelry has long been on my list. Old Grumpy has been asking me what I want for Christmas and of course I will ask him to order at midnight. If I can rouse him from his snoring, that is :-)!!! I may just order myself and give them to him to wrap. Or heck, even wrap them myself!

Louis, you have done it again!
Another classy and classic wardrobe basic done to perfection!
I certainly do not need another black top, but this one is a must have! Love the look with the blue Kate.
This is why you are my(ok,our) personal designer! Thanks for the sneak peek.

  12. Chris/Jazzmom

Love the merlot and slate blue colors!! They look very rich!!

Thanks so much for taking pity on us, Louis! Dec. 9 seems so far away, and some sneak peeks will definitely ease the pain. Love this tunic – so versatile. And thank you for including “my’ cross. Come on, Dec!

  14. Deb a/k/a jazz

I’ve often wished you’d do more sneak peeks. This comes at a great time–just starting to feel “withdrawal” pains (although this morning I was FINALLY able to snag the fawn riding jacket I’ve been stalking). This tunic’s fabric and style looks as if it’s going to be great! Umm, what else have you got up your sleeve there Mr. D?

  15. Carol

I”m in total and complete love. Resistance is futile. I am completely under your spell.

I feel my credit card heating up already.

    Thanks for the peek!
