Weekend Treat!

Hi Everyone,

I thought I’d send you a picture of the jewelry that’s coming in May/June!

1-J267611, is the Byzantine drop earring. This earring will be avail either PIERCED or CLIP and is NICKEL FREE! This is an earring you can wear  three different ways because the drops are INTERCHANGEABLE! You can wear the top on it’s own as a button earring [it matches the Byzantine necklace with the square gold stations you may already own]. You can add the pearl drop or the carved colored drop for two totally different looks. The colors are RED as the photos above,  GREEN [the same color as the square gold station], and PURPLE. If you like you could get two colors and mix the beads….i.e. the green top with the red drop bead or the red and purple or green and purple. The whole look is very BYZANTINE.

2-J267612, is the Byzantine bead necklace. This necklace completes the trio of necklaces I continue to show,,,,the Byzantine CROSS, and the Byzantine STATION necklace. This necklace has a wider variety of beads in different shapes and sizes, some quite large. It also has some small, green, aubergine and bronze pearls scattered through out. These also match the pearl necklaces from this past fall……so it all works together!!DO NOT BE AFRAID TO LAYER YOU JEWELRY!!!! Notice in the photo to the left…all three of the Byzantine necklaces, which includes the cross. The look is truly amazing and the quality is unsurpassed.

J267610, is the chain hoop earring. I am so happy to be able to bring this earring to you. I know many of you have asked me to please offer the piece and here it is! It will be avail. in GOLD as the original sample, SILVER, HEMATITE [gunmetal], and ROSE GOLD. This earring will also be avail. PIERCED and CLIP, and is also NICKEL FREE!

I am hoping these pieces sell out really quick so I can bring you additional pieces for FALL 2012.

By the way, there are only two styles left in the Linea Jewelry line……..the three strand gold plated bracelet and the gold plated and simulated onyx bead bracelet. This is one of my personal favorites and for me there is nothing more fabulous than a woman in a black sweater and this gold and black stretch bracelet. Give them a look and give them a try……there aren’t many left and I wouldn’t want you to be disappointed!!!……much Love, Louis

What beautiful jewelry you’re bringing to us!
I’m excited about it all.. and like Barbara, I’m not really a gold person.. but you changed my mind with those Byzantine pieces this Fall.
Thanks yet again. Your pictures are so enticing, I know the real things in hand will be so much better.

Weekend treat indeed! Thank you, Louis! Can’t wait to pick up these stunning new pieces. Not sure if you’ve already answered, but are the earrings heavy? I prefer pierced, but my pierced ears don’t tolerate heavy earings very well. These look substantial, particularly the hoops. Thank you.

    Kindly,
    TourEiffel

I asked Jac and she said they are not on the light side but certainly wearable. Maybe the clips in this style would be better for you. I’m not sure about the Byzantine with the drops because I only have the samples with the clip. I won’t have the pierced until production comes through. Do you wear clips?…..Louis

      1. TourEiffel

        Hi Louis —

Thanks for the info. Yes, I wear clips too, particularly when the earrings are on the heavier side. Long story, but when my daughter was a baby she tugged on my earings causing tears. My talented dermatologist sewed up my ear lobes and I had them re-pierced. Given my history I now wear lighter-weight pierced and heavier-weight clips. (Apologies if that’s TMI!) Thanks again.

        Kind regards,
        TourEiffel

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          I understand…..don’t take any chances….I would recommend the clips…….Louis

          1. TourEiffel

Thanks Louis. Appreciate your recommendation. I’ll buy the clips. BTW, I have your pierced pearl drop earrings from several years ago and they’re great.

Your “don’t take any chances” advice made me smile, reminding me of my former mentor who, when deciding whether to take a late afternoon phone call from an unknown caller, would look at the phone and say “Columbus took a chance” before answering.

            Kind regards,
            TourEiffel

          2. TourEiffel

Appreciate your recommendation. Thank you! Loved your “don’t take any chances” advice, which reminded me of my former mentor who often said “Columbus took a chance” when confronted with an unknown situation. BTW, I have your pierced gold and pearl drop earrings from several years ago and they’re great.

            Many thanks,
            TourEiffel

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

AHHHHHH, you left that little bit of information out!!!! The new Byzantine earring isn’t any heavier than the pearl drop you own….so you can go either way………..Louis

            2. TourEiffel

Perfect! Thank you! Apologies for my double post earlier. I’m just getting used to blogging where patience is a virtue after pushing the submit button.

              Thanks again,
              TourEiffel

            3. Barbara in Virginia

Thanks to both of you for this exchange. I also have the pierced pearl drop earrings and they are not too heavy for me at all. I much prefer pierced as I don’t have to worry so much about losing them.

  3. Chris

“Wow” to all the pieces!! Better be fast….these will never make it fo air. You are genius Louis. Thank You:)

  4. Kate

Oh I have to have the chain hoops in gunmetal and also in gold. TDF and so chic (yes, I will be wearing the gold hoops with the ivory chain print skirt and yes it is matchy-matchy and yes I don’t care!). Do you have the dimensions for the hoops?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sometimes matchy-patchy can be fabulous……what……you don’t like silver? I’m getting the exact measurements from the manufacturer………..LDO

      1. Kate

Thanks for the permission to go for it! I do want the silver but don’t want to be too piggy. Did you see any of the NY Fashion show on the Q last night? Lots of club wear (and a few nice everyday wearable pieces tossed in).

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

No….I missed it….we were out with amigos.

  5. Marcia

    Hi Louis
What great pieces. Hope to be able to get all. I missed some of your pieces- since waitlists were cancelled (pearl drop earrings and 2 sets of the pearl necklaces). I was on backorder for the pearls from the first week they were offered and waitlisted from December. I don’t know how pre-orders work from the manufacturing side-but I would per-order all of these in a heartbeat.

ps Hope to see to see reorders on the pearl necklaces!

  6. LauraL

Thanks for the sneak peak of the jewelry. Can’t wait. I definitely want multiples the pieces. Did have a question though.

Could you give me dimensions on the earrings (i.e. what is the diameter of the chain hoop earings and the size of the cabachon square and the length of the drops. I am petite and sometimes earrings are too large.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Hi,
I will get accurate measurements from the manufacturer and post when I get them. The necklace is 36 beautiful inches…………Louis

  7. Lynn

These new pieces look fantastic! I believe I have ordered at least one of all of your jewelry pieces — I had been holding off on the black and gold bracelet. When I read your comment that it [and the gold chain bracelet, that I already own] are the only pieces left and in limited quantities, I decided to grab the black and gold bracelet before it sells out. I’m definitely looking forward to the new pieces coming in May and June. Thanks again!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Lynn,
I’m so happy you decided to purchase the black and gold bracelet. It really is a special piece. I know there are women who wanted to buy the chain necklace and were holding off and then they were gone……they were very disappointed and to be honest….the returns on the jewelry have been very low, so hoping for a return is unlikely. The bracelets may show up on the site but you can’t tell how many there still are in inventory, so when I had a conversation with the buyer she happened to tell me the quantities were very low. I thought I should pass the info on in case someone was thinking about them but hadn’t ordered. I don’t want anyone to be disappointed…….Louis

  8. Barbara

Thanks so much! I am so not a gold person and am totally crazy for your Byzantine line. Can’t wait to get the last necklace.

  9. Sallie

    Hi, Louis………..

Love your jewelry…have MANY pieces, Couture and AKII, from the days of yore. I hope you are able to continue bringing your lovely designs on QVC.

Question: Why are there only 2 pieces left of the QVC website? Did it sell out or did they pull it? Will any of those “gone” designs, ever come back…like the Cross(mine was lost in the mail and I’m on waitlist…worried about that shaky status)? Thanks.

Love your clothes as well. You & Jac are a DEFINITE ASSET to QVC!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Sallie,
There are only two pieces on the web site because all of the other pieces are sold out. You must have some wonderful AK Couture pieces.

  10. Carol

I’m going for all the chain hoop earrings! How long have I been begging for those? I had truly given up all hope of ever getting them, and to now get THREE colors–it’s more than I could hope for. I adore the byzantine pieces. Will definitely get more than one of the earrings.

I’m hoping for more colors of the pearls in the future. As well as a stack of bangles to coordinate with your color palletes for each collection going forward. The multichain cross of course, and the pearl necklace with the silver spacer tubes.

I would love to have the gold/onyx bracelet, if it was just a smaller size. I have every other piece you’ve made, and I have given the white pearl ropes as gifts, too. Nothing is too good for my BFF’s.

  11. Julia

    Louis,

The new jewelry looks amazing. I’m defintely getting Byzantine pieces to finish out my set. I’ll get the gold earrings because I was able to get the bracelet. But I missed out on the three strand gold plated necklace. Any chance of a reorder to go with the earrings? How about in silver tone and hematite? I would love to have it in at least gold and I know I’m not alone.

    Julia

  12. Chris/Jazzmom

As always, a stunning set of sneak peeks! What is the diameter of the chain link hoop portion of the earring? The length of the Byzantine bead necklace and the length of the Byzantine earrings with the drops/pearls added to the button portion? Thanks so much for convincing QVC to buy the earrings!!
    Regards to you and Jac,
    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Chris,
The Bead Byzantine necklace is 36 inches from end to end. The Drop Byzantine earring is approx. 2 inches long total. The top is approx. 3/4 of an inch square and most of this sits on the earlobe. The drop is approx 1 1/4 inches I am getting exact measurements of the chain hoop from the manufacturer. I can tell you it has a strong presents but is not heavy……..Louis

  13. Yvette

Oh Louis, the jewelry looks delicious! I wonder if you could give us the dimensions on the chain hoop earring? I’m very small, and I have to be careful with jewelry size, or risk looking like a little girl wearing my mother’s things. I’m the one who asked you for the size of the Byzantine cross and cut out a paper cross to try out. That worked out really well – I bought the cross and wear it often. Hoping for he same with these earrings!

  14. Penny (aka pocoo)

What about the necklace with the crosses? I want that one, too!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

If this jewelry does well…..hopefully I can bring it to you for Fall….. that’s how it works……………….Louis

  15. Wild Rose

Oh the wait is unbearable!! haha

  16. Sharon Santourian-Holman

That totally completes my Byzantine set.:) Beautiful!!!

  17. Claudia (chprsp)

Of course I must have all the choices. So exciting.

  18. Celia

    Louis,

I plan to pull the trigger as soon as the clock strikes midnight the day they are posted…on every piece! Just one more thing to look forward to in the coming months. Thank you, Louis!

    Yours,
    Celia
