    Dear Louis,

Will you be bringing back A259620, your whisper knit swing sweater? It is one of my all-time favorites.
    Thanks,
    Dariann

    1. louis dell'olio

Absolutely…..but the only old color returning is black….all the other colors are new.

      1. Anonymous

Great! I stalked that sweater all season. What are the new colors other than black.

  3. Karen in WA

Louis, The black and ivory asym. long dress is now avail in my size. After I saw Jac in the blue and white Casablanca set in blue, I have to have it. Wouldn’t the blue and ivory go with the black and ivory the same as the pink and ivory does as you posted on your sneek peek? I think it should, but some of us are a little more insecure than others. I hope you say yes.

    1. louis dell'olio

Trust your instincts Karen….it will look great….I would venture a guess that when you go with your instincts you are more right then wrong…..agree?

  4. Laura

Love you Louis! I have been a fan of yours for many years. Your style, commitment to quality, and class have me tuning into QVC every time you appear!

When will the SWING CARDIGAN appear? (next week?) And, what colors will this be in? I love this!

    Your fan,
    Laura

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Laura……yes it will be on my 4pm show this coming week. I posted a sneak peek of all the colors…..black, heather grey, raspberry and blue…take a look.

  5. bcm

    Hi Louis,

Anxiously awaiting your shows. On the QVC+ show on Tuesday at 11PM, will we see new pieces or only oldies but goodies!! (As Murray the K used to say- remember him? As one New Yorker to another.)

    1. louis dell'olio

Oldies but Goodies……but sneak peek jewelry

  6. Anonymous

Is it possible to get a WK HOODIE? One similar in length to the FJ Hoodie?

    1. louis dell'olio

It’s not impossible. I’ve even made samples, but it came out expensive…..for QVC anyway.

      1. Maia

Oh my! A WK hoodie is my dream Linea piece! I won’t give up hope.

  7. Mary in CT

    Louis,
Will the olive turtleneck with rib detail, #A259110, match the olive regular slim leg pant #A259702? Hoping they are a match as I love these pants and am always looking for tops to match/coordinate.
Looking forward tyo next week’s shows!
    Thanks for your reply.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Mary. at this moment all I can say is the same color standard was given. Since I have not received my samples I can’t check to see if they match/bl;end….they should.

    2. Mary in CT

Thanks. I will take the chance and order.
While I’m here…I love the way the metal necklaces look when you pair two together on the models. Do the metals wear off when worn together? I have the gold and silver necklaces now and absolutely love wearing them.

      1. louis dell'olio

I hope not!!, but if you ever have a problem you can send them to my manufacturer and they will re-plate them

      2. Mary in CT

Thanks so much for your responses. Will see you next week!

  8. CC

Linea vest–fingers crossed–are we going to get a Linea vest for Fall/Winter???

  9. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

I don’t know how I missed your sneak peek of A265609! I ordered this spotted tunic in the terracotta to wear this fall. I also noticed on the Q that A259110, your whisper knit turtleneck with rib detail is now available in ivory and olive. I ordered the ivory to take with me to the Vancouver Coast later this summer. Last year I ordered 2 of these turtlenecks in black and practically lived in them for months!
    Dariann

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I haven’t even gotten my samples yet! The olive will match my new Linea Body tights in olive. This sweater in Ivory is perfect.

  10. diane bloch

Louis- regarding your new textured cap sleeved top. Sorry if this question has already been answered but I’m unsure which size to order-does it fit similar to your WK tops? I know you said it has stretch. Thanks. Looking forward to the upcoming shows.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Diane….It is not a sweater knit like the WK and it doesn’t have the stretch as a sweater knit does. This is a cut and sew knit fabric which is quite different, and it does have stretch…certainly more than a woven fabric. That said I think you should buy the size you would normally buy. Check the measurements and see which come closer to you.

      1. diane bloch

Thank you so much for the speedy reply. Happy weekend.

  11. Carol

Louis–the opaque tights have been restocked with new colors, too. Is the heather gray the same as last year’s dark gray? Also, does the tobacco color work with our nutmeg wk items?

    Thanks.

It’s a Linea bonanza day at QVC!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Carol….A lot of last years colors have been restocked, and yes the grey is the same as last year. Of course dying from one year to the next, even though the formula is the same, there can be a slight difference. The nutmeg is a very different color from the tobacco. It can work but it would depend how you plan on wearing them together…..What do you have in mind?Of course the OLIVE matches to all my olive WK pieces….skirts and dresses.

      1. Carol

I was thinking of the nutmeg wk boot skirt with brown(or camel)suede shoe boots.

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear Carol if you mean the long nutmeg skirt with the tobacco tights and a shoe boot…I would say no. You would never find a show to match the tights and that would be too many colors from the skirt to the shoe…..in a relatively small space…I still prefer black with a black shoe boot or walnut with a dark brown shoe boot…..or boots.

  12. Writer with Flair

    Dear Louis,

Pardon the duplicate message. We recently switched over to Chrome and it didn’t seem to send the message, so I resent it in Firefox. Sorry ’bout that.

  13. Writer with Flair

    Dear Louis,

I just love that new swing cardigan and tank. The “swing” silhouette is such a winner. One question: could I wear the new swing cardigan (A267864) with the swing top (A259620) from last season or would that be too much “swinging” going on?

  14. Patti

    Dear Louis,

I just love that new swing cardigan and tank. The “swing” silhouette is such a winner. One question: could I wear the new swing cardigan (A267864) with the swing top (A259620) from last season or would that be too much “swinging” going on?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Patti…It’s not a matter of too much swing as much as are they too bulky together? That I can’t answer. You would only know if they are comfortable together if when you tried them on. The new cardigan is in a lighter weight WK so they might or might not work.I’m not sure if the two layer of sleeves would be comfortable.

      1. Patti

        Good advice. Thanks!

  15. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

The Q is showing a new Linea printed tunic top online. Can you give us a peek and description?
    Thanks,
    Dariann

    1. louis dell'olio

      A number please.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dariann if you are referring to A262028 I posted the sneak peeks Feb 28th and the A265609, July 12….so just keep hitting
older until you get to the date.

      1. Carol

You can also do a search by item number.

  16. Happy Lady

Is A263355…Asymmetrical hem WK tunic in teak, cinnamon, navy, sage being released this month? Hope it’s not; too many fabulous pieces popping up. CC are smoking and your website keeps crashing. When can we expect? Thanks, Louis

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear HL….not this month….I think August.

  17. debby

Would love to order the new swing sweater in the raspberry – can the tank A237404 be worn backwards(scoop is too much for me) Mathches great and would not interfere with the shawl that I would top it off with! Thanks again for great style!!!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear debby….It is kind of high. It would sit on most at the pit of the neck. Maybe someone who has this tank can tell you how it is reversed.

  18. Kate

The new hoodie with faux leather sleeves arrived yesterday and it’s very downtown. Love it. Bought in pomegranate and will totally wear it with skinny jeans or over a black skirt. Guess I’ll wear a black top under unless you have a better suggestion?

    1. louis dell'olio

I have plenty of suggestions, but you’ll have to wait to see the sneak peeks…however I love white and ivory with it too. I also love the new skort in black with it [it actually looks like a black double wrap SHORT skirt]….with black tights and shoe boots….think about it. The skort will be on my 2am show and Jac will be wearing it with the tights and shoe boots….it looks great……and that’s from me who never, and I mean never liked skorts anywhere but on the golf course, which I have only been to in my mind.

      1. louis dell'olio

BTW, how does it fit compared to my other hoodie, if you have it?

      2. Kate

I’ll keep an open mind about the skort! I think it would look great because the jacket will be fabulously fresh with something shorter. I don’t have the other hoodie to compare, but I bought this in my regular XS and while the sleeves are narrow, the fit was great. Trim and sexy–not like I grabbed BF’s college sweats!

        1. louis dell'olio

I asked about the fit because the first hoodie was sized more like B&M store sizing, closer to the body…very sexy….closer to a LL Lemon fit. We eased this slightly.

  19. Chris S.

    Good Morning!
By any chance will your beautiful turtleneck be coming in the raspberry and heather gray colors? I just ordered the tanks in those colors and will order the swing cardigans when they become available. Since I am usually between large and xl, if I plan to wear a turtleneck or blouse under a cardigan, I usually order the larger size. The smaller of my sizes works if I just plan to wear a tank.
    Thank you!

    1. louis dell'olio

It will be coming later in the season in the grey, but not the raspberry….However the raspberry is a good suggestion and will consider it for the future.

  20. nikki

Louis, I am going to a formal event in Aug, I was thinking of wearing the textured knit dress in black with the new gold nugget necklace. Or maybe even the blue dress/ I needed my arms covered, would you put the eyelet jacket in black with it? would you recommend any other piece to keep my arms covered. Thanks for all you do.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear nikki….I looked at them together and honestly I didn’t care for the two together. The black of the eyelet was much darker than the dress when you put them together. What I would recommend is the new Casablanca georgette open front cardigan with the 3/4 sleeve in the blue or fuchsia. They look very good together. The cardigan will be on the next show. Look back at the sneak peek and see what you think.

      1. nikki

thankyou Louis for the information. I will look at the georgette cardigans. I am glad I asked and you responded.

  21. Renee

    Dear Louis:
When will we see the new v-neck cardi coming out? And what colors will they be in? I am on pins and needles waiting for them!!! Thanks a million!

    1. louis dell'olio

I think on the July 22nd show, but you never know….I will be posting sneak peeks soon.

  22. LIz

Hi Louis, I just love the new textured knits, the colors are stunning. I have one request…..Sleeves. Is there any chance that there might be a jacket coming up in this fabric? Very St, John! Thank you

    1. louis dell'olio

      Dear Liz…..sorry no jackets…they didn’t want any.

  23. Ceicei

Thanks for giving me for advice for what to pack in europe. Italy was so hot, i packed all my pebble crepe. Wore the zigzag in Amsterdam. Also brought your linea jewelry. Looking forward to fall. Still in Amsterdam and have washed the pebble crepe and will wear them over the next few days. Will be back for your new collection next week.

    1. louis dell'olio

Amsterdam…..Venice of the north….one of my favorite cities!

  24. MadameDuFiffers

    Hi Louis,
Apologies if this has been asked/answered, but will you have any new pebbled crepe items (not reorder or diff colors) coming up in the next several shows?
    ~Madame

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Madam….no…not until next spring….and that’s if they order them.

      1. MadameDuFiffers

Thx for the quick response. Maybe the Q LL could get a petition going to send to the powers that buy! I will make a phone call and send a letter. The pebbled crepe is a wonderful fabric for summer, wears well, and looks great. Wishing you and Jac well.
        ~Madame

  25. Nicknack

    Hi Louis-
Does the new textured dress have a slit or kick pleat in the back? Looks like another LDO winner to take along for my Baltic cruise coming up!

Thanks for all the wonderful things you bring.

    Suz

      1. Nicknack

        Yay!

      2. kate

Will this fabric work with the leather moto coming later?

  26. Elaine

Hello Louis, received the nugget necklace in gold today. A beautiful color and extremely lightweight. Love it. Thank you, Elaine

  27. Pat

    Hi Louis,

Beautiful hot day here. And I am wearing my favorite tank when the weather is warm, it is the tank that goes with the crinkle Georgette top and tank. And I was hoping that some day you would make this tank avail able in lots of colors as a purchase only without the georgette top?
Thank you for all you do,

    Pat

    1. louis dell'olio

I am really surprised they are posting these so early!!! The photo does it zero justice. I will have to post my sneak peeks soon….they aren’t even ready??!!

      1. Denise

The photo for the chocolate tunic looks grey on my screen. Could you please share whether it’s grey or brown?

        1. louis dell'olio

It’s a very dark walnut brown. The heather effect and the photo gives it the gray appearance, but next to gray it definitely brown. It looks great with the Walnut ponte pants.

          1. Julia

Could it be worn with the WK walnut skirt and tights (maybe with boots and one of your long necklaces)or is it too casual for that?

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Julia……That is exactly how it should be worn. This top can either be very casual or dressed up. The fabric can go both ways whereas some casual fabrics can not be as versatile.

    2. Chris/Jazzmom

I received my 3 tops today and I definitely see the heathering effect of the body of each top. Were the colors given from the body of the tops or the collar/sleeve ends? The new taupe Leisure pants that are coming– will these coordinate with this dark chocolate top? I took photos of the 3 new tops and posted them to the Q Linea forum.

      1. louis dell'olio

The color standards were the cuffs and neck trims, which is the inside of the garment. The surface just much lighter and heathered.

      2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris….I don’t like the taupe with it….better with a dark bottom like walnut ponte pants.

        1. Chris/Jazzmom

Thank you. What will be coming to coordinate with the taupe pants?

          1. louis dell'olio

I don’t know why the Q posts these reorders so early. They won’t be avail until mid January. There will be other Leisure pieces to go with them, but it’s way to early to talk about….a lot is coming in between!

  28. Judy

I wanted to ask about the sizing of the zebra sweater coming soon. I normally wear a medium in your tops and was wandering should I size up because of the top being cotton.

    1. louis dell'olio

No, why should you size up. I have used this cotton before for printed sweaters and there haven’t been any problems with shrinking if that’s what you are worrying about. If anyone has any comments about this cotton knit, Judy and I would like to hear from you.

      1. Cathy in PA

I have most (if not all LOL) of the Linea cotton sweaters. I wear a plus size, and my regular size has always been fine, even generous … and my experience is I’ve had ZERO shrinkage when laundering (tepid water wash, lay flat to dry). LOVE the cotton sweaters for comfort, and so looking forward to the TIGER sweater 🙂

      2. Joanne

I own 3 sweaters of the cotton knit. I hand wash them in cold water with color fast Woolite and dry flat. They do not shrink and turn out beautifully. I cannot wait to buy the new zebra sweater. Hard decision will be which color.

  29. Rochelle

I ordered the cap sleeve tops in lapis and black earlier this week when promoted as lunchtime specials. Thank you for creating a lightweight top that can be worn year round with a neckline that covers most of the upper chest/collarbone area. I am prone to phototoxicity and/or severe rash from humidity, and upper-chest Rosacea flares in warmer weather because so many warm-weather garments leave me exposed in this vulnerable area. It’s so bad I usually cannot wear any necklaces in the D.C. summers. I have found that most scarves onmy exacerbate the problem from added heat or synthetic’s lack of breathability. Even my own hand knit cotton cowls don’t always help.

Thank you so much for this garment. I was very please when black arrived today. And the fine striping looks grey to the eye. I also appreciate the modest cut you utilize on your tops and blouses. It tells me you remember when and still believe underwear should not become necessary outerwear. Your designs have an approach of dignity and respect for a woman’s body. It’s something that isn’t seen very often in the fashion world.

    Again, thank you.

  30. kate

Um, hoodie with faux leather sleeves. Loving this.

    1. Carol

I’m guessing this is OLO? I’d love to order a couple, but waiting to hear if there are coordinating tops and bottoms????? Squeal!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Carol…I’m very surprised that this hoodie is posted. I wasn’t expecting it until Late Aug. it is part of a new Linea Leisure group.

        1. Carol

We’re ready for any little crumbs that come our way. Any word about coordinating pieces you can leak, would be helpful!

          1. louis dell'olio

There will be a vest, and a pant to layer….plus the existing Linea Leisure tank in the black and many of the black WK sweaters will work..The existing solid black LL pant works with all of the colors and has been reordered…If you would be interested in layering with a sweater, i.e. the WK TN, and the vest which looks fabulous..I also like white or ivory under them….I would suggest going up one size. If you want to wear it with a single layer than your regular size should be fine

            1. Carol

Thanks, Louis. I remember when you did the OLO WK program in the fiesta colors, you gave us info on what styles were offered in which colors. It really helped me to plan which to buy. It would be really nice if you could do that for the next LL group, too. Then we could plan how we want to mix and match and not miss out on a color we really want. Maybe before your August shows?

            2. louis dell'olio

Yes Carol….definitely by the Aug. shows

      1. Kate

It’s up on QVC and available for sale.

  31. Jackie

Louis, I just had to write and tell you that I purchased both the green and fushia tropical print maxi dresses and the stripe maxi in brown. I wear them ALL the time and am certainly getting my monies worth. The dresses look great. No Wrinkles and they skim over my less than perfect curvy shape. LOVE them. Thought you would like to know.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Jackie….that’s great. I am happy to hear you are enjoying your dresses.

  32. Zoe 101

    Hello Louis,

I thought I got really lucky when a Large mocha boho skirt was available. When I received my package it said mocha on the package, but it was gunmetal:( I have the gunmetal boho. PLEASE let us know when the boho skirt will be reordered. I have almost all colors in Medium and my daughter keeps stealing them. I plan on giving her all my old one’s and buying new one’s in larger size for my self:)

    Thank you,
    Zoe

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Zoe….you are going to have to be real patient, because the skirts aren’t coming back until next spring. The old colors are being discontinued….all except black, white and perfectly pink, but there will be 3 or 4 new ones….can’t remember.

      1. Zoe

        Dear Louis,

Say it isn’t so…not the taupe color:( Please bring back taupe!

  33. NJlady

    Hi Louis,
Does the skort have a lot of stretch. I am a Small in your capris and wondering if I should stay with that size?
Need the waist to have stretch – narrow on bottom
    Thanks

    1. louis dell'olio

It does have some stretch, but it’s not a jersey kind of stretch. It has an elastic waist I think the small would be fine.

  34. CC

I’m excited about your new skirt and coordinating top. Perfect fo me. I can wear it to work, meetings with clients, climb ladders to display art, and adjusting lighting. I also think it will look great with tights under it. When I told my mother about it, her reply was oh I don’t wears skirts that short or even shorts. She actually has pretty good legs except for a few varicose things that bother her. When I mentioned to her that she should consider it and could wear her Linea patterned or plain tights she was surprised and excited to try it. Because the court is in more the fall and winter colors and wait I think it would look smashing with tights under it. I thought I’d let you know about this idea since I believe other women my mothers age or even younger women like myself might appreciate this styling option.

    1. CC

SKORT–darn Siri and her “helpful”? Spell corrections.

    2. louis dell'olio

Dear CC, I am glad you brought this up about wearing tights with the skort. The skort really just looks like a short skirt. No one will even know there are attached shorts unless you show them or sit in a way that they will show. I think they will be fabulous with opaque tights or fancy lights and boots or shoe boots with either big chunky sweaters or a form fitting WK like the classic V-neck or TN, and the waist whittling sweaters will be great with them too. They would be wonderful with hoodies….many many things.

  35. Joanne

Will your tank in nutmeg go under the topaz and black zebra sweater?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne….had to find the tank…..Unfortunately the nutmeg is too orange next to the sweater….too bad…I know what you were going for and if the colors worked it would have looked great!

  36. Terri

    Good afternoon Louis!
Love the zebra sweater and I am wondering about the torsade necklace. Any chance of a reorder in the red color? I would absolutely love to see the red one brought back! This is such a wonderful piece. It never fails to bring compliments when I wear my black or the turquoise color. Another fabulous reorder color would be navy! Hint, hint!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Terri…it seems that “they” are only reordering pieces with huge wait lists. Otherwise they would rather bring in new. I have to agree with them. When we reorder the jewelry it just sits for long periods of time. I would rather bring in new pieces. So the moral of the story is don’t hesitate if you really like something because most likely it will not come back for a second time around..

      1. Saphira

Alright then, how about a new necklace in red and or navy with wood-like beads or whatever your artistic mind dreams up? Something similar to but not the same as the torsade necklace, perhaps with a nod to the elephants in TN?
        Just a thought…I’ll hope!

  37. bcm

    Hi Louis,

I have been waiting for those beautiful zebra sweaters. Does the moss version complement your stone or olive pieces (slacks or turtlenecks or tops) from last year?

    1. louis dell'olio

Yes….the olive is very dark, and I think works well with moss.

  38. Joanne

    Hi
I am the gal who just loves and owns 3 of your retro cardigans that previously posted in the last couple of days. I love the new zebra cardigans. I have two questions: Are they fitted or boxy? Also is the white in the Black/White Zebra Cardigan a true white or is it an ivory?
    Thank you Louis

    1. louis dell'olio

They are not fitted….more of a retro fit….I would say more on the boxy side. It is Black and IVORY.

  39. Lee in Minnesota

    Hello fellow Linea Ladies,
Nugget necklace is now up on Qvc to order, can’t decide gold or silver??

    1. Grace

Get them both! It’s a classic.

  40. Melissa

    Louis,

I noticed in your sneak peek of the top/skort that you mentioned the falling leaves necklace & earring SET. Shall I interpret that to mean that it will be sold together as a set? Or will they be sold individually? Also, how heavy are the earrings? Based on pics, they look like they’d be light. I can’t wear earrings that pull my lobes down…

    Thanks!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Melissa…..”sets” are new to Linea, so I can understand the question. The earrings are sold with the necklace and will come packaged with the necklace. From now on when I refer to a set you will know they are sold together. We have found with certain simple earrings it is more cost efficient to sell them as a set. If we sold the earring separately they would cost more due to the additional packaging and handling. The earrings are light as a feather…you won’t know you are wearing them….except for when you get compliments on them….LOL

      1. Melissa

Great news! That’s what I was hoping to hear. I’ll definitely be picking this set up in several colors. Love that it’s going to be offered in gunmetal and chocolate too. Thanks so much!

  41. Joanne

    Dear Louis
Another question: I just love your retro cardigans. I own Floral Black(A233856),Paisley Print(A228335) and Tie Dye Print(A223654). I think all of them are cotton. Will you be designing more retro cardigans with your delightful prints in the future. I just love that style cardigan. Thank you.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Joanne…..the only printed cardigan coming is the Zebra, later this month.

  42. Joanne

    Louis

I just love your Linea Knit Pull-On Slim Ankle Pants (A265615). I purchased 2 black, Light Khaki and Navy Pants. I love the style and fabric. These pants are dream pants. I am not surprised that they are on Wait list in almost every size. I personally never want to be without these fabulous pants. Do you think QVC will reorder? if they do will you introduce more colors.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Joanne, I won’t know for some time if these pants will be reordered. It depends on the return % and that usually takes three months after the presentation. If they fo get reordered I will add at least one new color……hopefully two.

      1. Lyn

Louis, I would also like to add that I love these pants. I was concerned they would be too short for me, but they are just right. It is so easy to just pull them on and wear with one of your tops. I like pull-on pants more than pants with a zipper, because they fit me better (my weight fluctuates).

I purchased all 3 colors, and I’ll purchase another black if it comes back in stock.

I wore the Pale Khaki pants with your Ivory lace jacket when I attended church yesterday.

        1. Nancy (akaTheOwl)

OK. That does it Lyn! I have 2 of the navy and 2 of the black. But now I’m going to have to try the pale khaki. Sounds beautiful with the ivory lace jacket!

  43. Julia

    Louis,

You mentioned in a thread below that you had done a crinkle georgette tiered dress several years ago (A199794). I bought both colors, blue and black, and loved it. It was so flattering and easy to wear. I still have it even though I’ve gained a few pounds. That dress is still a keeper for when I shed them because it is timeless. I would love to see you bring it back, maybe with 3/4 sleeves? Please consider it. Please.

    Julia/Qulia

    1. Pecan Cookie

Wow, great reviews on that dress. Since the skirt is such a winner, it is not surprising that the dress was loved. I could use this dress in black for sure, as is or with sleeves as Julia/Quila has requested. (Thanks for posting that item #!)

      1. nikki

me too Louis, I would love that dress, with sleeves, maybe elastic so one can pull them back if need be, or the dress as it. Love it, sorry I missed it

  44. TrishM

Hi Louis. Happy 4th of July!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! I have to go to an evening wedding mid August and I was wondering if any of your new stuff would be appropriate. Otherwise I was going to try the navy lace top and skirt. I think with some bracelets and dangle earrings it will be formal enough do you agree? Thank you!Z

    1. louis dell'olio

There might be one or two things you might consider for an evening August wedding that would be appropriate……Are you looking for a print or solid?

      1. TrishM

Looking in my closet, it’s mostly solids, although I’m trying to be more open minded! I did get the metallic sort of art deco print dress you had over Christmas and I love it! I’m 5’3 and 130# and hoping to lose a few before the wedding, and the goal of course is to look taller and thinner!

  45. Mimi G

Hi Louis. Hope all is well with you, Jac and the girls and everyone is enjoying the summer. Would you please tell me when the WK turtlenecks in the lavender and the lt blue will be in stock or available on waitlist. I was on waitlst a few months ago but as you said then, you knew they were not going to be in at that time. It’s just something QVC does. I think I read that you were not going to bring back any super ponte knit pants. Is that true?
Enjoy your July 4th. Stay well.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Mimi….sorry for the delay…..the turtlenecks will arrive in Oct….just in time for chilly weather. The existing ponte pants have not been reordered, but I will have new ones for fall.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Thank you Seka…Yes, there have been a few ariticles about Donna since the announcement. I find it interesting that they run the picture of the two of us from the AK days when it’s really about her.

  46. Rochelle

I wound up buying feather knit skirts in Seafoam and Flaming. Turns out I have a cotton 3/4 sleeve Talbots Tee that nearly matches the flamingo perfectly. I’m debating pairing it with navy as well.

I find th se two skirts fall a little higher on my leg than the WK pencil skirts. A nice surprise seeing as I’m 4’11” and everything is usually so long.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Rochelle…debate no more both colors will look great with navy and black.

      1. Susan (aka carlytwila)

These are my favorite summer skirts! They are cool and comfy and gorgeous colors!

      2. Rochelle

Thank you. I find navy to be a more flattering dark neutral near my pale face than black. Everything should come in navy.

  47. Writer with Flair

Every time I wear your Perfectly Pink Exposed Zipper Denim Vest (A252356), I get so many compliments–both about the vest itself and the color of the vest. Recently, I had three compliments about what a beautiful complexion I have when I have worn it. I know there is something special about that Perfectly Pink color. Thanks, Louis!

    1. louis dell'olio

It is definitely a complexion color. All colors near the face reflect onto the skin. Pink is definitely the most flattering color anyone can wear, and the Perfectly Pink gives the face a pink warm glow. It may be subtle, but it does make a difference.

  48. Beryl

Thanks for another look at the A252353 tank. I just received mine and they’re wonderful. Very cool and comfortable. Glad you mentioned them

  49. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Louis, Here’s my “take” on the WK button front striped cardigan ~ A263356 ~ in 3X as promised. At the last minute I changed my order from ivory/navy to teak/black and I’m glad I did. But not for the reasons I would have thought. No surprise the cut and drape of this cardigan are wonderful. Does not pull in any way across the bust, the length is perfect, AND I love the ample contrasting cuff. As discussed with you before I ordered, I plan to wear the cardigan mostly unbuttoned and over black as in the stripe. Here’s where I was surprised though: I had expected the body to look large in the stripe. It did not, especially when worn unbuttoned over a single column of color. What really surprised me was that the sweater made my upper arms look large – larger than they are. Here’s why. The side view, with the stripes stopping in the widest part of the upper arm, and with the stripes of the body in the back and in the front on either side of that upper arm – just did something “visually” to that upper arm which was NOT flattering. This just “yelled” at me when I tried on a black felt winter vest I always use for layering when traveling in the winter and suddenly that upper arm looked right! Not too large. With the black of the vest on either side of it. I almost couldn’t believe my eyes how much of a difference this made. So I decided that when I try a second color, and I AM keeping the teak, it will have to be a DARK color on that upper arm area. Not the bright yellow and not the very light ivory. So I’ll try the navy/green one next which is NOT what I originally planned.

When I ordered, I knew that at 5’7″ I could find a way to have and use the timeless classic-ness of this sweater in “different” ways that would work. Holy Smokes, I’m sold on the vest idea. I also have a sizeable ruana and cape collection, many from South America in alpaca blends that do not shed and these work in my favor in the winter months. I have all 3 Dennis Basso capes ~ A228744 ~ and I wear them to DEATH in the winter. For example, if I am wearing the Linea Tweed Mélange jacket ~ A237642 ~ in “raspberry” with a turtleneck – when I’m ready to walk out the door I throw on the Basso Merlot cape over the top, tucking it under the collar lapels and letting it flow freely – not hooked in front. So many compliments! Or if I’m working up an outfit with the same Tweed mélange jacket in violet ~ when I’m all pulled together including right accessories, I throw on the Slate cape over the top, tucked under the jacket lapels and flowing freely as I head out into the cold. I’ve experimented with capes and ruanas over this striped sweater and already know that when I wear another top layer, I will button the cardigan all the way up. 3X or not, it looks fantastic topped with a vest or ruana or cape – which also makes any upper arm problems disappear. And when I want those gorgeous stripes to show more on the arm – it’ll be a vest in black for the teak/black or a vest in dark navy for the navy/green.

Last thought, if you should ever decide to experiment with this classic sweater but do the arm in a SOLID color and the body in the stripes, this too would eliminate the visual issue problem from the side for the larger plus sized lady. {I realize that could look a little gimmicky though.] It drapes beautifully and I’m SO glad I’m able to get this classic to work without too much hassling. And as I expected it looks CHIC! Thanks for your encouragement to give it a try. I’m making it mine – my way.

    1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

PS, my very good experience with this cardigan has given me the courage to go for the French Sailor top which is still available in 2 of the colors in my size. How fabulous will THAT be, also with options to wear under any of the denim vests, jackets etc? Been sighing over those French Sailor sweaters ever since the first sneak peek 🙂

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

As the saying goes….”if you don’t try, you’ll never know”.

        1. Julia

Owl, the French Sailor sweaters are fantastic. I am a large/XL with heavier arms and they are not an issue at all in this sweater. It’s amazingly slimming. I love the navy with ivory stripes with navy pants and the logo station necklace in gold to match the buttons. Makes me look and feel like a million bucks! Hope it works for you.

          Julia

  50. NJlady

Wore the Flame top this weekend and got many compliments on the colors.
When will we see some sneak peeks? Hopefully soon
    Thanks again.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      After the 4th

  51. new york karan

Does the twig whisper knit bolero go with the goldenrod midi dress?

    1. louis dell'olio

No, I don’t care for them together.

      1. new york karan

Beside the ivory, what other color sweater or bolero would go with the goldenrod dress?

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear nyk….besides ivory, anything in yellow or sunburst yellow like the jean jacket or zip milano knit sweater would work well…..also anything in a Dark Brown like Walnut or Coffee Bean also work well. I don’t know what is left in those colors. Many of the cardigans that were originally offered in those colors are no long avail. Maybe you already own a dark brown sweater or something in yellow?

          1. Luvitorleaveit

I was looking at some of my yellow pieces this past weekend to see how they work together and the yellow zip milano is lovely with the goldenrod dress as well as the yellow denim pencil skirt.

Louis is there a chance A233183 drawstring skirt returning I was only able to snatch the black in my size and would love the other colors if not more. I don’t remember if this was asked before but are there any denim skirts on the horizon to go with the denim jackets.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

The drawstring skirt has not been reordered and I don’t know if any denim pieces will be selected…..there are sketches but you never know.

      2. Anonymous

How about the nutmeg zip front cardigan? Please, Dear Designer, se how they’d look together. Thank you.

        1. louis dell'olio

At first I thought no ….the nutmeg is too much of a pumpkin color, but when I looked at them together….the bottom of the dress actually has a color very close to nutmeg….so my answer is yes I do like them together. There is also A257376, avail in nutmeg and it’s on clearance, however some sizes are gone.

  52. Sharon L

On PM style they showed a Gilli maxi dress for $208. It looks just like your boho skirt. Thought you’d like to know.

    1. louis dell'olio

      Was it silk?

      1. designista

        Faux silk.

        1. louis dell'olio

          no comment…..LOL

          1. enjay

Agree – ridiculous price and the dress was not attractive. But how fabulous if you put a tank-like top on the boho skirt and offered it as a summer sundress. Those would fly out the door! Do you think you could interest the Q in something like that?

            1. louis dell'olio

Knowing about the GILI dress they probably would not be interested.I also did a tiered dress a few years ago…all in the crinkle georgette.

        2. Luvitorleaveit

I don’t even see 100% silk worn much anymore I still have and wear my silk pieces that I brought probably back in the 80’s, 90’s and some from Louis. As a matter of fact I just wore one of your silk shirt to a concert at Jones Beach it is white on top and gradually goes to like a purplest/blue color on the bottom it’s an oversized shirt. Silk is another keep you cool fabric. The prices I presume aren’t like they use to be.

          1. louis dell'olio

When I first started designing for QVC my manufacturer encouraged me to do silk silk and more silk…..now since the prices have sky rocketed due to many reasons…..pollution in China, where 99% of the worlds silk yarn is produced, is just one of the reasons….The government control of production is another main factor. There is no way I can do silk garments at the QVC Price level. Between that and the special care most silks need….most women don’t want to be bothered. It only exists in the high end businesses.

            1. Sharon santourian holman

That’s why I cherish the silk pieces I do have! Love them

            2. Luvitorleaveit

I will cherish my silk pieces too!

    2. Merrylass

The top of the Gili dress isn’t attractive (or rather, it would NOT be attractive on me). I love the versatility of the Linea Boho skirt and the options I have with the various Linea tops. I hope the boho skirt comes back in perfectly pink and in new colours — violet or lavender would be stunning … as would an icy shade of blue … cobalt blue or sapphire … aqua … turquoise.

Sigh, why didn’t I discover Linea sooner?!?!

      1. louis dell'olio

Dear Merrylass…..do not fret……the BoHo will be coming back in Black, White and Perfectly Pink plus three new colors, Lt. Tan [which is the new color of the wing collar cotton shirt] Aqua and Lilac

        1. Teri

Yeah for lilac! My favorite color in my first childhood.

        2. Merrylass

Wonderful news! I have the boho in black, white, navy, and chili pepper and I look forward to getting the perfectly pink, aqua and lilac. Hopefully there will be options for matching tops too! Thank you for the update.

  53. Mary

Oops-I just read your response to Goldie regarding the materials used in the necklace. Thanks for providing the info-the Q doesn’t usually include this.
    Sounds delightful!!

  54. Mary

Thanks for the sneak peek of the nuggest necklace. Are the nuggets plastic or metal? Looking forwarad to seeing this necklace on your July show.

I own the silver and the gold metal, two row necklaces and reach for them often. They are so lightweight but make quite an impact.
    Thanks for your wonderful designs.

  55. Chris S.

    Hello Louis,
As I once again wore a pair of your Linea Leisure pants, I was hoping for a reorder coming for the fall. I surely will be needing additional black and navy. Also hoping for a gray. I was able to stock up on the white (5 pairs), so I’m set for the summer and into the future. I have several pairs of the pull-on ponte pants, but the Linea Leisure items fill a different need. I love them with the LL cardigans, hoodies, tunics, and many other things I own. Please tell me I won’t be disappointed. By the way, I’m still hoping for a reorder of the ponte knit pants in white. I love the unlined pair I own, but they won’t last forever. I also own them in black and Limoges blue.
    Thank you!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Chris S…….I can make half your wish come true. The Linea Leisure pant has been reordered for next Spring, and black, white and navy will be coming back. As for the ponte….that was not reordered…..sorry

      1. Chris S.

Is there any chance that the pull-on ponte pant might be ordered in white? That is a different style than the ones I own in white which you tell me aren’t being reordered.

        1. louis dell'olio

No white ponte pant has been reordered…..it would have to be a new pant. What style number are you asking about?

          1. Chris S.

I love the white ponte pants A233639 due to the little wider leg and material making them a little dressier for the summer than the Linea Leisure in the white. The description of them says they are lined in the white, which they are not. The Q writers got that wrong. There is absolutely no show through. I know other Linea ladies scooped these up in white. Since these are not being re-ordered, could A237394 be offered in white? I don’t think they would need to be lined since there is no problem with show through in A233639 in white. Better yet, a new design in white ponte pants would be nice. I definitely would not want a slim leg. I like the wider leg for a flowing summer look. Meanwhile, I am treating my one pair of white ponte pants A233639 very carefully!

Thank you for trying to grant our wishes!

            1. louis dell'olio

Dear Chris….the A233639 only had a 3.8 rating. With such a low rating it would never be considered as a reorder, and it’s not a style I would repeat. I think the elastic waist band all around was the reason, because it wasn’t the leg width or the fabric. Ponte and this type of waist band may have seemed too thick.

  56. Joanne

What new colors are you bringing in for the whisper knit V neck sweater?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Joanne….the new colors are heather charcoal grey, pink and wheat

      1. Enjay

Very excited about the charcoal grey and wheat. This is my favorite WK sweater, and I love those neutrals!

      2. Karen in WA

Oh pink! Oh pink! Oh pink! 🙂 Is wheat the color of the sneak peak of the gold necklace? Looks like a lovely color.

        1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Karen in WA: I can answer that since it already has my FULL attention. It’s a new color called Alabaster 🙂 I already know I’m going to need this new Alabaster in multiples!

          1. Karen in WA

MMmmmm, thanks Nancy, it now has my full attention also!

      3. Yvette

Pink – yea!!! Is this to be Perfectly Pink, or another shade?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Yvette, the V-neck reorder, due in Sept, is a new pink called “PURE PINK”. It is a little bluer and cooler than the Perfectly Pink which is a warm pink.

          1. Pecan Cookie

Awesome. Cool is the tone I need in pink. Thanks for that!

      4. karen

Hello Louis, Your clothes are just the best. Very chic and still so affordable. I have quite a few items from the WK collection. Is there any possibility you will be doing a long sleeve cardigan in the color coffee bean in the upcoming season?

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear Karen…..to my surprise Coffee Bean was slow to sell, so I do not have any plans to repeat it at this time. The Walnut, which was darker and had less red in it, sold much better……..but never sat never, because I really love the coffee bean with black.

  57. Hi, Louis! I just went on a fruitless search to replace a Natori bed jacket I have had for many years. There is NOTHING out there other than things to take women in nursing homes. I’m not ready for that, yet! Is there any chance you could make a pretty bed jacket, perhaps with a night gown to go under it? I would love to give those for Christmas. My Virginia mother always made sure I had one growing up. And she always had one. There were so many pretty ones back in the day! Have I put a bug in your ear?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Barbara……unfortunately, I am not in that category of apparel, so my buyers would never buy it.

    2. Goldie76

Barbara, I, too, grew up in the era of owning lovely bed jackets. My mother always had several gorgeous ones stashed away to be used when needed, and she also made certain that I had at least one for use. You are not alone with this wish. Recently I watched the movie “Peyton Place” from the 1950s, and one of the main female characters was in the hospital (I grew up saying “in THE hospital” and not “in hospital”), and she thanked the Lana Turner character for her gift of a new bed jacket. It struck a chord of remembrance in my head, and I realized that I did not have a bed jacket. They soften the look if one is not at one’s best. There is a market for them, I agree.

      1. Yvette

Dear Goldie, you are missed on the QVC Linea board! Your fellow Linea Ladies have been looking for you with some concern. Please leave a message on the new Linea subforum, which can be found by clicking on “Favorite Brands.” I’m so happy to see you posting here on Louis’s site, but we need you on the Linea forum, too!
        Shoenbags

        1. Goldie76

Dear Yvette, I am genuinely touched that some people miss me on the QVC Linea board (without a doubt, some do not). Thank you for being so kind. I just felt that I had to get off it, and the changeover by QVC made the timing just right for leaving it behind. (Did not like the looks of the new board, anyway.) Yes, I miss the Linea Ladies, but a new group will come on board. I think it has always been that way. I’ve learned not to say “never” in my life. You never know if I will decide to unleash my mouth again on the forum.

          1. Sharon Santourian Holman

Goldie, I miss you too. Our loss …

            1. Grace

Most definitely our loss…Miss you, Goldie.

      2. Yes, bed jackets and dressing gowns are but a memory of the past. I keep reading that bed jackets are coming back, but I have as yet seen any pretty ones!
I always had a quilted satin one for the cold weather and a lacy or eyelet one for the warm. When I had to stay at home from school sick in bed, my bed jacket always made me feel better!

      3. adoreqvc

        Hi Goldie,

I was waiting for you to come reply to me after I paged you on the fashion Linea thread, but was informed you may not be returning to QVC after all, and I am sorry because you are sorely missed by myself, and so many other cyber pals.

In any event dear Goldie I am sure you are doing what you feel is best for you.

I would like to wish you and the family better health, and much future prosperity in all your professional and personal endeavors.

May you all be blessed, and Phillip and I are humbled to have made your acquaintance Goldie.

As for traveling to Greece I doubt we will until the dust settles. No access to ATM’s is a major problem, and banks being closed is another dilemma, as well as not being able to use cc’s. Somehow I always prayed their financial dilemma would eventually work out…..now who knows.

I hope the country is making the right choice, and this will be the first time I no longer travel there since a young child, and Phillip shares my feelings of being sad for what they are enduring.

I will check back again Goldie, enclose Sisterly hugs, and God Bless.

        1. Goldie76

Dear adore, I just learned from Grace that you had written to me over here. Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers. Oddly enough, I joked with Grace that I wondered if you were worried that I was in Greece without funds, and you did hit on that topic. A close friend is going in August; hope things are easier financially for him when he takes off. He has ailing older parents, and so there is no waiting for next year. Give my best to Phillip. Don’t want to hog too much of Louis’s prime space for fashion talk, and so I salute you, my dear friend. Be happy!

          Goldie

          1. Goldie76

Utterly weird. No one in Greece picked up the phone (it is now about 9:00 p.m. or so for them). The line was busy for one of my first cousins. They are either:

            1. Out eating.

            2. On holiday in another country.

Very strange indeed. I even wondered if the phone service has been disrupted, but one of the lines was busy.

  58. nyc1

Just received the WK 3/4 sleeve sweater with the nautical buttons on the sleeve (A265572). Bought it in navy and turquoise, but would LOVE MORE COLORS! Louis, you did it again. This is the PERFECT SWEATER. Love the neckline (not quite ballet), the weight of the fabric and the length. I NEED, yes need (!!!!) this in fucshia, purple, a bluish red, black, white (I think I missed out on some colors that may have originally been available – i was travelling – darn!). Just wrote a review, and would have given this TEN STARS, if they were available. Had to exchange the turquoise (gorgeous color) for another since the dye on the chest area was splotchy. What are the chances of bringing in more of this beauty? THANKS SO MUCH for all your gorgeous clothes. I KEEP buying. The problem is, I can’t part with anything. The rare piece goes to a friend that I have back in NY (I live in Chicago now).

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear nyc1…..I doubt this sweater will be reordered. It was sold at a strange time of the year, and the reaction was fair, so again it will probably not be reordered.

      1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

That’s a shame – it’s a lovely design. Maybe you could bring it back with long sleeves (all else the same) and call it ‘new’?

        1. nyc1

          EXCEPTIONAL IDEA!!!!

          1. Carol

I’d go for a long sleeve version, too.

            1. Merrylass

I agree — this sweater is lovely. I also ordered it in the turquoise and navy (I LOVE all shades of blue!!). I would love to see it in more colours too.

      2. Rochelle

I found the 3/4 sleeve length is preferable. It makes it nearly a full-length sleeve for my petite-height arms. About 2-3″ of my arm is exposed. So much more comfortable for me than constantly shoving too-long sleeves up and out of the way. I have navy and debated getting a second top in green. I’d love to fill my closet with your designs, but I’d need a whole bedroom converted to a walk-in!

      3. Jane J.

Louis, That’s a shame. I really like this sweater — the neckline, weight and length. I purchased the navy and turquoise. Loved the turquoise so much that I went back and ordered a second.

    2. Melissa

I got navy and turquoise too. Love the way these fit! Would love a similar style (with or without buttons) in more colors. It’s a shame the reaction was “fair”. I agree that they were sold at a strange time of the year. I didn’t initially buy because it was already so hot where I lived, the thought of buying sweaters made me hot. But after reading the rave reviews, I placed my order anyway (was hard to decide which colors to get, I like all of them). I did travel to Colorado where I got to wear them. And once it cools down here I know I’ll wear them a lot.

      1. Heidi

I’m wearing the navy as I speak – it was 61 degrees in Ohio today. Rainy and damp, feels like fall! This sweater was perfect as I ran my Saturday errands. I looked polished and it took as much time to get dressed as if I’d put on a ratty T-shirt (which I saw lots of people wearing today!). I love this sweater and would buy other colors but then I’m a sucker for all WK 😉

I can’t tell you again, Louis, how much I adore your clothes. I always feel confident, professional and comfortable when I wear them. Classic American sportswear – what could be better?!? Thanks for all of the beautiful items you bring to us!

YIPPEE !! I received my two waitlisted items: A265610 Moss/Black Small (have the other two colors) and A263354 Midi in Goldenrod size 10. I originally passed on the midi dress because the click here bust measurement seemed too small and I didn’t want a huge bottom; how gorgeous is this dress. I have a large gold hammered disks necklace with amber stones in the center of the front 4 disks that looks divine(think it’s a vintage Les Bernard; for me it’s not; but I’m at that stage all my stuff is vintage). Looks great with an unlined loose linen short jacket with kimono sleeves that matches the pale color in the background at the waist line. Dress length is almost to my ankles. What a gorgeous print; you really designed a spectacular dress. Hoping for the blue to come back in stock. Love that waitlists do often come through. LOVE.

Hi Louis -Does your feather jersey items in Aqua match the Aqua denim pants?. Hard to tell from the photos on the Q. Looking forward to your next shows.

      No they do not match

Louis – today I am wearing this beautiful, lightweight, dress in moss A255151 (luv it) it is so hot and humid here this dress is perfect. Is it coming back? Or are you planning anymore moss items like a shrug, short cardigan or something. The moss and brown look so fresh together, I can’t wait to wear my tropical dress in moss. I don’t see the moss color much.

I have things coming in July and Aug in Moss……but you’ll have to wait for the sneak peekss

    Dear Louis,

Not a question, but a wish as I debate buying one or two Feather Jersey skirts. I’m torn between two colors and find myself wishing this fabric came in white. White is so easy to pair with other clothes in the summer and brightens up otherwise dull choices. Thanks for listening.
