Dressing in Sept and early Oct. can be a challenge. It’s still summer, but after Labor Day wearing white and pastel colors seems wrong, though I love WHITE all year long, and there is nothing wrong with pastel cashmere sweaters, but you all know what I mean. If you work, you need work appropriate clothes……it can still be blazing hot out and the air conditioning can still be ay full blast. I think this little dress, A232516, is the perfect answer. The style was taken from the extremely popular A224712, printed maxi sleeveless dress……the difference is…..I added a 3/4 length sleeve and shortened it…….as was requested by many of you.  The print is an authentic IKAT print. Th colors are RED, which is a deep BRICK RED combined with a MANGO ORANGE and WHITE…………….BROWN, which is a deep WALNUT BROWN combined wit TOBACCO and WHITE……..and…………..GREEN, which is a deep SPRUCE GREEN combines with a GRASS GREEN and WHITE. The fabric is the same poly blend jersey as the maxi dress and many of my printed Ts, that so many of you love. The fact that it is wash and wear is an added bonus for you travelers……..there is still plenty of summer left and this dress will work right now and through the fall…………………enjoy………………….Love………….Louis

Some of you may have noticed that the A87423, mock neck, short sleeve, cotton/acrylic sweater is wait listed in TAUPE. That is a mistake. The sweater is NOT coming in taupe. It has been reordered for next Spring 2014, but taupe is not the new color.

I personally love the softness, the drape and the ease that is characteristic of this FINE BOUCLE yarn. I will say, this is not for everyone, because this is not a structured garment at all. It takes someone with just the right attitude and understanding how a garment like this will preform on the body. It is languid, and very soft. I have seen many garments like this from well know designers at 4 times the price. I think this makes the perfect transition cover-up. It’s perfect for now and going into fall with the addition of the appropriate layer. I love the combination of BLACK/TOBACCO. TORTOISE. As Diana Vreeland said, ‘”style is about originality” and this is a very original look….

A233859, is the fine  boucle knit cardigan. The colors featured here are the WHITE and THYME, a soft herbal green.

If you recall, I told you last December, when I introduced my Stripe tunic sweater with the sequin stripes, that STRIPES were going to be BIG for the coming spring /summer season. The cardigan above, A232657, is the perfect example of a stripe garment that works though out the year. The BLACK/HEATHER BLUE combination is very chic and transitions not only seasons….but DAY to NIGHT and CASUAL to DRESSY. What gives a woman her PERSONAL STYLE is her UNIQUENESS and CREATIVITY in the way she dresses. I think this cardigan is a piece that will accomplish that goal……………….enjoy…………Love…………..Louis
