………………………………BOUCLE KNIT is one of my favorite knits!……… I have come to realize boucle is something you LOVE…..or not. If you are an Eileen Fisher fan you are probably in the “love” camp…..I have been doing Boucle knits for literally decades, so I am definitely in the Love camp. The objections to boucle knit, that I have read, are actually ALL of the characteristics that I love about it…….gossamer……open weave….drapy……etc. etc. This is season-less timeless dressing……definitely with an attitude……..I also love the fact that you can get a CARDIGAN, A239320, and a SCARF, A239322 to match………..The colors are rich and saturated……..BRIGHT BLUE…..MANGO………DARK REEF GREEN………………….BLACK……and the yarn, an acrylic/nylon blend is super soft……..As an added bonus the cardigan is on CLEARANCE!……….You can never go wrong with a beautiful scarf for a Holiday present………………………………enjoy……………………….much Love…………………………Louis

…………………………………MOVIES are always a great source of inspiration, and sometimes a new movie can start a TREND. I think the movie “CAROL” is going to do just that. This is a move that is beautifully photographed, and every single detail creates the look and feel of the movie set in the 50s. The sets….the CARS the buildings and interiors were all perfect…….even the stationary, which you will recognize, brought back memories……After the movie was over I realized that the 50s were actually very interesting design wise…..I guess I was just too young to appreciate it…..though I do remember some of the best, and most outrageous cars came out of the 50s. The dinners, and open air movie theaters became iconic. The 50s was not considered the height of fashion, and is not usually used as a reference by designers, but I think this movie can change this. Cate Blanchette is simply beautiful and beautifully dressed in this movie…………BROOCHES were very popular in the 50s…worn on dresses, suits and the iconic sweater set………Watch out…..I think brooches are ready for a comeback! They are iridescent purple mixed with COPPER……so they pick up the colors, and high light the colors you are wearing. At one time only kings, queens, maharajas and their wives could afford these precious and mysterious creations of nature…..I love to look at the portraits of ELIZABETH the FIRST dripping in PEARLS……One has to wonder how they were gotten from far far away places, and then who were the people who made these incredible pieces and actually sewed them to the garments, and made the jewelry…..true CRAFTSMEN……..Pearls have highs and lows “in fashion”, and with the movie “Carol” receiving glowing reviews and receiving Golden Gold nominations for both of its’ leading stars…..you can be sure pearls will be making a strong resurgence! ……………………….The year is coming to an end. Do you need more Holiday clothes? It’s a little late for that….What you need any time of year is “Leisure” clothes. I however think “leisure” has become a misnomer, because these are not clothes just for the times you have to relax, and who changes clothes to relax…..unless you are coming home from work and need to change……These are lifestyle clothes. Clothes you wear every day no matter what you are doing. For many of you these are clothes that can be appropriate for work too depending how you put it together……………………………………………………………………………………………

A NEW HOODIE…….A NEW FABRIC…….A NEW FIT…………….A270903……….This new Hoodie has a relaxed fit…….whereas the hoodies I have done before are closer to the body. This is a hoodie you can layer with comfort………..The fabric is a TECHNO KNIT and is 80% polyester, 14%rayon and 6% spandex…..The hand is SMOOTH as butter…….I’ll say it again SMOOTH as butter…..There are some wonderful details on this hoodie that immediately say….DESIGNER………There is a set in band that follows the curve of the neckline with an accentuated top stitch detail. The sleeves are RAGLAN with a loose-ish elastic cuff. The bottom is also finished off with an elastic. It is not a TIGHT bottom, and sits on the hip with ease. There are set in BAND POCKETS with a top stitched POCKET BAG so it doesn’t flap around on the inside….which can be very annoying!……The length for the XS is approx 25 inches……The color above is…….TAUPE, but not just any Taupe…..It has a paleness, but it is not washed out. It is very neutral, and soothing at the same time……The metal zipper has a SIGNATURE ZIPPER PULL all in GUNMETAL with the BLACK ZIPPER TAPE exposed and sewn on top which gives a very modern edgy look…..The Linea “signature” is subtly emb. with tonal thread on the pocket….As I have mentioned it has a relaxed fit, and you would do fine in your regular size….However, if you like an extra roomy jacket you could easily size up one…….again, not because your size would be small, but just if you like that “look”. Jac sometimes “borrows” my sweat shirts and hoodies because she likes the “boyfriend” look…..in this case the “husband look”!….LOL…The weight of the fabric is perfect for my southern ladies as your winter outerwear piece. Even in the north of Florida occasional FROST warnings occur….For my northern ladies this is perfect right now, especially in New England where Old Man Winter hasn’t appeared yet…..and when the real cold sets in either layer with sweaters or wear a coat over it…..This will take you right through spring…..until the warm weather returns, and outwear is no longer necessary………….All of the colors have a very soft fine heather effect which really emphasizes the softness of the fabric…..You will want to give yourself a HUG……………………………………………..
