……………………………The final combination, and perhaps the most unusual, is the CHESTNUT with the FUCHSIA accents……….The TN comes in the FUCHSIA, and the pant in the CHESTNUT. Again, you can see in the photos above the “new” revere that is created when the jacket is unzipped and the collar is turned back.. This color combo will be a PICK-ME-UP when Feb and March roll around, and we are all dreaming of warmer weather. I think this is the perfect color combo for my ladies who live in the warmer areas of the country, Florida, Southern Cal. etc., where more somber colors can look out of place…..You still want to look like the fall/winter season, but in colors that are more appropriate for the locale………..For me, CHOCOLATE metal, as in the DEMI HOOP, is the accessory of choice……………………………………………………………………

………………………………BOUCLE KNIT is one of my favorite knits!……… I have come to realize boucle is something you LOVE…..or not. If you are an Eileen Fisher fan you are probably in the “love” camp…..I have been doing Boucle knits for literally decades, so I am definitely in the Love camp. The objections to boucle knit, that I have read, are actually ALL of the characteristics that I love about it…….gossamer……open weave….drapy……etc. etc. This is season-less timeless dressing……definitely with an attitude……..I also love the fact that you can get a CARDIGAN, A239320, and a SCARF, A239322 to match………..The colors are rich and saturated……..BRIGHT BLUE…..MANGO………DARK REEF GREEN………………….BLACK……and the yarn, an acrylic/nylon blend is super soft……..As an added bonus the cardigan is on CLEARANCE!……….You can never go wrong with a beautiful scarf for a Holiday present………………………………enjoy……………………….much Love…………………………Louis

…………………………………MOVIES are always a great source of inspiration, and sometimes a new movie can start a TREND. I think the movie “CAROL” is going to do just that. This is a move that is beautifully photographed, and every single detail creates the look and feel of the movie set in the 50s. The sets….the CARS the buildings and interiors were all perfect…….even the stationary, which you will recognize, brought back memories……After the movie was over I realized that the 50s were actually very interesting design wise…..I guess I was just too young to appreciate it…..though I do remember some of the best, and most outrageous cars came out of the 50s. The dinners, and open air movie theaters became iconic. The 50s was not considered the height of fashion, and is not usually used as a reference by designers, but I think this movie can change this. Cate Blanchette is simply beautiful and beautifully dressed in this movie…………BROOCHES were very popular in the 50s…worn on dresses, suits and the iconic sweater set………Watch out…..I think brooches are ready for a comeback!
