“ACID GREEN”

…………………Back to the Spring Anne Klein 1991 collection………..The ACID GREEN jacket was made in a CLOQUE SILK, which is a silk with a slight puckered surface. I used a similar fabric for Linea in black and forest green, but of course it wasn’t silk. Under the elongated blazer….a knit bodysuit, and a Silk Cady sarong…..Gayle is wearing the “Robbie the Robot” necklace!…….To the right a fabulous fantasy dress in the sameĀ  Silk Cady. It was strapless in the front. The silk came from around the neck and was attached at the back in a V shape. The huge BOW was attached over a draped cascade of silk…………..ALL IN ACID GREEN! The dress was chosen by Vogue for one of their Spring stories….They LOVED the BOW and the COLOR!………..a very editorial piece.

“THE GARDENS ARE AT THEIR PEEK!”

………………………The garden in July is at its’ most beautiful stage when the majority of flowers are in full bloom. “THE GARDENS CON’T”

…………………….This year I only planted two tomato plants in pots, and they are doing very well. From the time these photos were taken to now they are all starting to turn red. I’m hoping I will be able to eat them before I’m off to Africa…..The two photos at the right are of my rose tree and the picture below is an off shoot from that tree. One day I saw this 2 1/2 foot stick like growth coming out of the soil, and I realized it was a new rose plant. I had Franco replant it in it’s own pot , and it’s doing great. As you can see I’m still waiting for my Morning Glories. Last year the 4 or so blooms I did get came in late Sept and early Oct. I hope they are a little more cooperative this year?
