…………………………There is history behind this particular color NAVY………..Years ago, in the 80s, I did a very very dark Navy for Anne Klein. We even named it AK Navy. Buyers were worried that women wouldn’t understand it because how dark it was, and they would buy black instead. I tried to explain that for years I wore very dark navy pants and SOCKS, and the color was just not avail to women. Truth be told I always had to compare my black and navy socks in the sunlight to see which was which. To back up this Spring navy I introduced….I had the whole Spring Anne Klein shoe collection done in this dark AK Navy, which was not a color seen in the shoe market………Long story short….it was a hit with the customers, and became the AK Navy until the day I left………..NOW it’s the LINEA NAVY, and it has become just as successful as it was years past. This is a true Sailor Pea Coat navy, anything else, for me, isn’t a true navy. You may as well just call them BLUE!……….History does repeat itself. When I first suggested this dark navy to my QVC buyers the same objections came up as they did years ago….with the same results…..It has turned out to be one of my most successful colors. I just wish I could get one of the QVC shoe companies to make this dark navy instead of BLUE………I have noticed that other designers on the Q are doing very dark navies too, I’m flattered……I have heard them say their navies will always MATCH………..However, if you know anything about fabrics and dying them, who ever tells you that they will ALWAYS MATCH…..beware. That is an impossible statement to make about any color from season to season, and fabric to fabric. If it happens it’s a MIRACLE! The most I hope for is that they come very close, or at least tonal. I would say we at Linea have been very lucky through the years keeping our colors close……………………………………The NAVY SAFARI SHIRT should be a summer staple! With a “matching” navy bottom, or a white bottom you just can’t miss…….Add some bold jewelry…..like my POWER OF THE FLOWER [FLOWER POWER], J390567 necklace and earring set in gorgeous shiny GOLD, or my LORD OF THE RINGS necklace, J393304 set in gleaming SILVER, and you will look like a woman with impeccable taste…….Isn’t that something we would all like to be known for!………………………….enjoy……………………..much Love……………………Louis

……………………………Why am I revisiting the Tie Dye skirt? because I think it is one of the best things I have offered you that you can wear when the temperatures sky rocket, and the humidity becomes unbearably high!……..I know this from all of you who own a BOHO SKIRT………….Solid or Printed, they are all made in the same CRINKLE GEORGETTE, and the ALL have the same feather weight tricot lining. The UNIVERSAL COMMENTS about these skirts is how COOOOOOOL, and comfortable they are….like wearing NOTHING. There is nothing here to cling to your body. Even the lining has HIGH SLITS on both sides, not only for walking ease, but for air flow……..When you just can’t stand the idea of pulling on a FITTED PANT of any kind, because you know they are going to be warm and claustrophobic, then it’s time to reach for your TIE DYE BOHO……………….I think another thing many of you have discovered about this print is the fact that it doesn’t EAT you up!…..I think you know what I mean. Some prints I’ve seen are so big, so bold, so loud, that they overwhelm the wearer. If this print could speak……it would whisper…………………It is what is called a no print print………It’s the kind of print that you can accessorize with bold jewelry or delicate jewelry and you will see them!…..They won’t be overpowered and smothered by the print………….To illustrate my point I have chosen the PINK TEE, A308450, and the IVORY CONVERTIBLE COLLAR blouse, A306416. With both tops I have chosen the NEW MAASAI NECKLACE and EARRING [bracelets not shown]. You can see how it all harmonizes………nothing SHOUTS!…….You have all heard hosts talk about the “half tuck”, meaning the shirt is tucked into the skirt in the front, and hangs loose in the back…….What about the SIDE TUCK for something a little different from everyone else!…….It is funny what certain looks conjure up in one’s mind. With the off the shoulder top or the tee, and the tiered skirt worn with the intricate necklace, all of a sudden brings the south west to mind and the Navajo people………far away from the Maasai……but when you think about it…..still similar…………………….I’m sure you have a plethora of white summer tops you can wear with any of the tie dye boho skirts……so bring on the summer heat…..you’ll be ready!…………………………………………………enjoy…………………………………much Love………………………………….Louis

…………………………..THE ORANGE TIE DYE is one of my favorites, because it is a color you don’t see often. I don’t really know why women shy away from oranges…..It is really a very flattering color. When worn as a bottom color it works for EVERYONE! As I said before, summer is the season for WHITE TOPS, whether a simple tank, short sleeve tee, a button down or fancier tops like the off the shoulder or white on white embroidered shirts, there are many things you own already to wear with your Tie Dye skirts………Add some new jewelry….like the BEDOUIN NECKLACE and EARRING set above….mixed with the Lord of the Rings black necklace and you have a whole new look……Add your black roller bracelets, a great pair of sandals, SUNGLASSES , a tote and off you go……..So many of you are traveling….I’m really jealous!!!! Italy on the Amalfi coast, the island of Capri, the South of France and the Greek Islands are all destinations I would love to see again. Many of you are cruising all over the place!……What could possibly be a better thing to bring with you than a Tie Dye skirt or two. I’ve shown you a zillion times how easy they are to pack…..Twist like a broom stick skirt until you can’t twist any more…..roll it in a ball and that’s it until you take it out of you luggage, shake it out and it’s ready to be worn……day or night you can wear this skirt. Going to the beach or an al fresco restaurant, you’ll be ready……. All eyes  will be upon you…..cheery colors always make you feel good, and they always bring attention!………………………………………enjoy………………………much Love………………………….Louis
