…………………..I chose two color combinations for the “CONFETTI TWEEDS” I developed with the French company…Tissage Des Chaumes……One of the combinations was primarily PINK and YELLOW, but sprinkled through out was a fancy yarn that had multi color nubs…..The second coloration was primarily LIME with an AQUA/MINT, and again it was sprinkled with a fancy yarn with multi color nubs in a totally different color combination from the Pink/Yellow tweed……They were woven in a soft plaid, and a tweed plain fabric was also made for skirts……..Each of the jackets was bound in a solid, very fine wool crepe from Italy. The Wool Crepe also was made into garments…….I also mixed the tweeds with Denim, leather, stretch lace, cotton shirts and knitwear. I had special jewelry and jeweled belts made by our licensee, and every once in a while I have noticed a piece will show up on Ebay. They must have an Anne Klein Couture metal small tag for authenticity, and they are usually quite expensive. Of course all the footwear coordinated with the collection and was made in Italy by our AK licensee.

………………..One of the important layering pieces I created for my Spring 1992 collection was the “Essential Lace Tank Bodysuit”……..I could have just made a tank top in the lace, but it would never have had the look or fit I wanted. This lace body suit had a smooth matching color jersey snap bottom…..which kept it smooth under all clothes. The tautness of stretching the lace across the body prevented it from rising up, or popping out of waistbands, and always looked clean…..I showed it many ways…..with jeans on Yasmeen at the upper top photo……in Pink with the matching pink jacket and pleated skirt on Ludmila, and again on Yasmeen worn in pink with my pink and black buttonless “WAVE ” jacket…….The lace added texture, and was so much more interesting and fun to wear rather than a basic solid tank top.
