Will A257338 ever return? It is my favorite pant.
Dear Karen, no that pant isn’t coming back, but there are always new ones.
Just a heads up the new wing collar blouse is now buy first one and five dollars off all the next ones you order… I got one of each. A nice saving
And there is a Flash Alert now with 4 Easy Pays (Fri., 7-12)!
Louis,
Can you please tell us what size Jac wears in the wing collar blouse and what size she wears in the new sleeveless version? I take XXS in several of your garments but take the wing collar blouse in an XS. Trying to determine which numerical size to get and it would help knowing her size in each.
Thanks!
Melissa
Jac is a 6 in the new sleeveless shirt, and an xs in wovens. In some WK sweaters sh is an xs and others an xxs like tanks.
Thanks so much Louis! That helps a lot.
Hi Louis
I noticed you will be on QVC Plus. Will you be offering new items on your QVC Plus shows or just offering items already presented.
Thanks
The QVC plus is Live and it’s NEW. I will be having a TSV. Of course the quantities are much much smaller because it’s on QVC Plus. It’s sort of a TSV LITE. This is a whole new thing QVC is doing…..so don’t mis the shows!
Excellent! When for your QVC+ TSV?
WHEN! When are you on QVC Plus?
Louis,
will there be any scarlet red pieces. THe tank was too long for me. I did purchase the long cardigan and it looks great. I wanted a tank to go with it and wanted to know if there would be any other pieces coming in this beautiful color
Not that would work under the cardigan
When will the Knit Pull-on Slim Ankle Pant in Pale Khaki (A265615) be returning to QVC? Thank you.
I believe in July or Aug, but not in light Khaki. This time around they will be in Alabaster which is similar, but the Alabaster goes with more Linea pieces.
Dear Louis,
I love your glass pearls. Will you be coming out with any more pearl necklaces, pins, and earrings?
Dear WwF…..as of now no. Pearls have their highs and lows in fashion…..right now they are in the valley, but I’m sure their day will come again.
Hello Louis,
It may be too soon to tell but do you know if the v-neck wk swing sweater (A282506) will be reordered? It has become my go-to sweater this season and I always get compliments when I wear it. Can I put in a request for scarlet (or next year’s incarnation of red)?B7G4
Oops, accidentally entered the Captcha code at the end of my post ☺
Heidi….it is coming back, but I don’t know what colors they will buy. I gave them a list. Scarlet wasn’t on it but there was a new red…..we’ll have to wait and see.
Great news, Louis – thank you!!
Louis,
You probably addressed this earlier but if you did I missed it. Will you be bringing back the zip front hoodie dress? It sold out and got great ratings. I’ve got my fingers crossed. You can’t even find any on ebay.
Julia
Dear Julia……I did try to convince them to bring it back, but the budget wasn’t there to bring it back……too bad.
Did anyone notice on the midnight showing of the tsv, 2 of the models were wearing Linea necklaces. Maria was wearing the black seed bead long necklace. It looked great. I can’t wait until April!
From 4:45 to 5:00 this afternoon (3/7), Brunette Maria was wearing the turquoise seed bead necklace while wearing the TSV in aqua. The seed bead necklaces are making the rounds. I wonder if that means many were ordered in hopes of being sold across many labels. That necklace is a winner!
The answer is no….not many were ordered. I don’t know why they keep showing it if it can’t be ordered. I’m sure there are inquiries which will only frustrate women who aren’t informed about the delivery. It’s nice to know the stylists like the necklace. I know they took the Mardi Gras necklace out of the style room. because it sold out.Now I’m the only one who can show it….hehehehehe
One woman has already expressed keen interest in the necklace. I and another Linea Lady (BklynKinsey) told her that the necklace will be available in April. Bklyn really gave her all the necessary info, plus a great photo of it.
Wing collar sleeveless up for ordering. Just placed my order.
Thanks Nancy!! Gotta go get ’em. 🙂
The picture is awful! Color is washed out and the shirt is too big for the model. Thank goodness for Louis’s pictures.
Yvette and all I couldn’t agree with you more. They could at least not over light it, and bleach every color out.
Hi Louis, I am beyond excited for the sleeveless wing collar shirt but with number sizes I always have to order 2 sizes and see how they fit..and return the one that doesnt fit as well…but I am afraid your buyers will interpret that as a high return item…however I am afraid if I dont order both sizes, I will miss out!!!! I never wear and return so the one I send back could easily be repackaged…all tags on. tissue paper tgere. etc. could you convince your buyers that returns were for sizing guesses????
…maybe I will just guess and hope for the best. I’m sure the blouses will fit beautifully.
My best advice is to check the measurements………shoulder, bust and waist should give you a good idea.
A287743 the sleeveless blouse up on Q for ordering now; white & aqua joining my closet of Linea.
Thank you Louis!
Thanks for the update…..Jac’s posting her pics on her face book page.
Trish, I would suggest that you order the size you feel might be the most likely to fit you and put the other size on check hold in case the first one does not work. Then if you need it, you can change to credit card. This way you can possible avoid a return.
thanks everyone! I just ordered my best guess! cant wait…looks perfect..
I find it’s a good idea to take measurements of a garment that fits me well and compare those to the QVC online garment measurements. I know its a bit more work upfront and you have to then factor in the amount of stretch a garment has due to fiber content, but I’ve yet to get the wrong size by using this method.
The problem I’m having with this one is that the long sleeved wing collar shirt was sold in S/M/L type sizing and the new sleeveless wing collar is sold in numbered sizing. The XS long sleeve fits me perfectly – I have four colors. But the chest measurements in that shirt match size 6 in the new shirt and the bottom measurement match size 4! So frustrating! In desperation I just ordered one sleeveless shirt with express shipping so that I get it before the show and decide on the correct size. If I guessed wrong, at least it’s only one return. I want this shirt in all colors, so I have to get it right!
Yvette, that’s a great suggestion. I’m also struggling with sizing on this shirt and I’m buying 4, too. I’m in between a 12 and a 14 and ordered 12’s earlier, but just canceled them. Think I’ll order one with express shipping, like you’re doing, so I know the correct size before Saturday’s show.
Thank you Louis for posting the AM stylle appearance for the sleeveless blouse, It has been on my wish list for years. I hope QVC repurchases so you can add navy and black. What a beautiful classic!
Eileen, I’m going to trash your post with your address. I already forwarded it to the NY office.
Dear Eileen, you are in luck. The factory sent the 4 remaining buckles they had to NY. They order all trimmings for what they need to complete the QVC order and a few extra, so the NY office will send you two and Nedra two. I love the Moss crepe too, but the buyers didn’t select any…..Maybe it’s too much competition to their in house brands. I will keep doing sketches for Moss Crepe and see if I can get them to bite!
On Saturday I wore the zip front sweater in Petrol Blue. Will you ever have more pieces in that very lovely shade? I’d love them!
Not anytime soon….that color in the sweater, and skirt [still avail] did not sell well. I don’t know why????? It’s a gorgeous color??
Happily, I purchased the skirt, too, as well as the oversize sweater. Some friends were swooning over the color. Really, they thought it was gorgeous!
I honestly don’t know why that color didn’t do better it really is a rich color, that looks good on everyone.
I purchased the A237404 scoop neck tank and A257376 open front Whisper Knit cardigan in Petrol Blue and love them. The zip front cardigan did not work for me and the long skirt was just too long for my height. I don’t think the color was the problem, but the product choices.
Well, the Petrol Blue sold well with me. I just wish there had been a Whisper Knit scarf or shawl to go with it. I loved the Nutmeg color, too.
Speaking of scarves, is there any hope for a larger print scarf/shawl that might have a couple of the colors of your other solid pieces in it? I could really go for that. After seeing you many beautiful prints (Ikat, feather, paisley, hydrangea, animal, lotus, and etc.) over the years, I would jump at the chance to get a coordinating scarf or shawl.
A short feature on the CBS Sunday Morning show today showcased the return of the beret as a must-have fashion accessory. The piece showed how they are traditionally manufactured at the Laulhere company in France. It was interesting to see the process. Vive le beret!

Thanks for sharing
Very Interesting! Louis should show the video clip to his Buyer. They called it the most important accessory! Louis has used it for years!
I saw that report on CBS on Sunday and immediately thought of Louis, and his loyalty to the classic beret! I am a collector of berets for decades, from true French-crafted all wool berets to my more recent favorites, the Parkland wool berets from Canada. I won’t buy the cheap, made in China street-vendor types that have been around in more recent years in urban areas. The CBS report was fascinating, on the many steps and quality control taken in the classic French beret manufacturing process. But it was also a “sign of the times” that an international company– let by an Irish CEO– had bought the French company when it was in the process of going out of business due to cheap foreign production. Vivre le France…– Blinddogs
My father, whose family came to the USA from Alsace/Lorraine at the turn of the 19th century to avoid conscription into the Kaiser’s army as A/L was held by Germany at that time, always wore a beret. His people spoke German, but, as the Belgians who hid him said after his plane was shot down on it’s 15th mission over Germany & Belgium during WW2 with all lost save him & the co-pilot, “the name may be German, but the heart is French.” The family who risked their lives hiding him from the Gestapo honored him by naming their baby daughter after him, Arnolde. He would have been 95 last month, & I miss him every day of my life. His beret resides in my closet on a shelf, beside my own.
Beautiful story, April. May your beloved father rest in peace. I posted a link to Robin Givhan’s fashion column in “The Washington Post” today on the QVC Forum, but will share the link here as well because BERETS are mentioned six paragraphs from the close of the piece. The column speaks to the elite fashion houses and their attempts to court the millennial interest and purse. Here is the site, for those who are interested:

Dear WNYGal…..that’s a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it will all of us.
Louis, I tend to be a bit minimalist where jewelry is concerned, but I jumped in and bought the Mardi Gras necklace. Your photo with the white sleeveless blouse really sold me – I loved that look.
This is a really smashing, fun necklace. Thanks to your excellent photos and styling, I now own a fun, unusual piece that I will really enjoy wearing.
Dear Enjay…..I’m happy to hear you decided to “jumped” out of your comfort zone. I know you will enjoy wearing this fun and unique necklace. The fact that it is unique and looks like nothing out there is what individual style is about. So few of these were made that you could consider it one of a kind. I doubt you will ever see another woman wearing your necklace. There are so many so called statement necklaces out in the malls that I try to offer something you won’t see coming or going. Maybe this necklace will be the start of a “unique” special Linea collect of jewelry. For sure you will receive many compliments especially if you have never worn anything like this piece.
Louis, I, too, stepped out of my ‘comfort zone’ to buy the Mardi Gras necklace and am so glad I did! I love the classic pearls of your collection, along with the more modern ‘trapeze’ and palm leaf and ‘fishie’ collections, and of course I am THRILLED that you provide wonderful Clip earring options for those of us who do not have pierced ears. I love your jewelry and have a ton of it. But this necklace was a bit out of the box for me. And I’m so glad I trusted you and your wonderful artistry to order this necklace. I am so very pleased with it and it will go with many, many of my decades-old Linea clothing collection. thanks for a job well done!– Blinddogs
Wear it with joy…..I think I’m going to have many women thinking of me when they put this necklace on!!!!!
My Mardi Gras necklace arrived this morning. It’s stellar. It will be my go to necklace all summer long. I believe if you could find it in a brick and mortar store it would have a 1 in front of the price.
When I opened the box, my husband said “more jewelry”. than he gave it a thumbs up, that always helps. I’m putting it on with your black turtleneck today. Thanks Louis
A girl needs her jewelry…..a thumbs up is good!
My Mardi Gras necklace came, and I am thrilled! What a beauty! Thank you so much. I have been in my closet to see what i will wear with it, and I think everything goes. it’s so much fun to pull things out and go, “Wow! it goes with this and this…” Goldie, i am having a party in my closet this morning:) Thank you, Louis.
Fairfax….I am so HAPPY you all are happy. I’m having a party with you!
Fairfax, I am thrilled that you are loving this necklace as much as I and so many others are. It is a dream!
The order for my Madi Gras necklace went a week from Processing to Backorder today. That’s such a disappointment because I really really was hoping to get this beautiful necklace. I guess the only way that I will receive one is through a return. As beautiful as this necklace is I doubt that will happen. I have my fingers crossed that QVC will bring this one back next year. Thank you Louis for creating another show stopper.
I have never NOT obtained the goods from backorder status.
Kate…Thank you for helping to keep my hopes up on receiving this beauty soon. I appreciate it.
Don’t give up. I have gotten items through the back order process. If an item reappears, it is not always a return. Sometimes, people pay for items with a check and it does not clear. That whole process can take a little time. I’m hoping for the best for you.
Writer with Flair…Thank you for sending your positive vibes my way. I’ll try to wait patiently for my order to show “SHIPPED”.
Well Louis, my Mardi Gras necklace arrived yesterday so I celebrated Mardi Gras twice this week lol! The necklace is even more beautiful than your pictures – I just want to keep taking it out and admiring it. I think everyone agrees that you hit it out of the ball park with this one. So thankful that we get to share the fruits of your creative genius!
Dear Louis,
My Mardi Gras necklace just arrived and it is BREATHTAKING. This is my kind of gold, shiny and ribbed. These are my kind of colors, rich yet subtle. What a talented artist you are!
You will have to re-order for those who missed out as well as those who want a forever backup. It’s that good.
Put the Mardi Gras necklace against the velvet print in brown from several seasons ago. Oh my, sumptuousness itself! Louis, I have all three of the skirt-and-top prints in velvet, and I cannot believe how well this necklace graces velvet. It is an all-season number.
Louis- your Mardi Gras necklace arrived this morning. You outdid yourself!
You have come a long way, yet not strayed too far from that childhood box of Crayola crayons. Sophisticated yet playful. (kinda like me, haha) A combination not often seen in jewelry. Thank you!
Louis I recently asked you about a LBD and you suggested the black seed bead necklace . Knowing how you always say ” if one is good, two is better”, have you ever paired 2 seed bead necklaces of different colors together? On the LBD, one black and one …,,,,,,,? Since I don’t own them yet, I can’t experiment. What do you think? Thanks.
.
Dear Jac….I have layered two necklaces together, and I love it…..but they have been the necklaces with the color and gold only….for instance…the gold turq with the gold orange, or the lime gold with either one. I have not tried the black, gunmetal with a touch of gold with one of the colors, however I have layered two of the gunmetal and black……one doubled at uneven lengths and the second kept long…..it looks very rich. With the mixed colors I like them both doubled at uneven lengths . How tall are you?
5ft 1 1/2 ft
Sorry I meant 5ft 1 1/2 in.
OK….I don’t think you can wear one long and one doubled…..it may be too much.
What good news to hear that there will be more long Whisper Knit skirts! A while back, I got the Petrol Blue and Nutmeg long skirts and coordinating oversize tops. Those outfits are some of my favorites. I missed out on the black, though. Will there be any black long WK skirts in this new grouping? Also, if you don’t mind sharing, what other color of long skirts will you have?
One more thing regarding the long Whisper Knit skirts . . . will there be coordinating scarves or shawls?
The only color that will be in the skirt and scarf is the Heather Charcoal Grey, however ther is also a scarf in blackberry (and sweaters), that will coordinate with Blackberry WK pants.
Oh my! 🙂
Sounds wonderful 🙂
Yes!!
Blackberry WP pants??? Be still my heart! Perhaps I missed an earlier discussion, but will there be new WK pants in multiple colors and if so what are they? will these be the slim leg WK pants? I am madly in love with the classic WK pants, and have them in both the wider leg and slim leg variations of many years ago. Do tell, dear Louis! I am a total WK fanatic and have sweaters, tunics, skirts and pants in WK going back many years. I really need to renew and replace some of my old workhorse WK skirts and pants!– Blinddogs
OOPS– make that WK or Whisper Knit pants..
Dear Blinddogs, the long WK skirt similar to the one in Petrol Blue will be coming in Blackberry, Heather Charcoal Grey and Black. The pant will be coming only in Black and Port [a very dark wine]….and that was a BIG PUSH. Let’s face it the WK pant hasn’t been a huge seller, and the last one is still avail, though very limited. They really didn’t want to buy another WK pant this being number 4. I used my last chip on this one…..so if this isn’t a sell out this will be it for WK pants. I simply can’t fight City Hall if there aren’t enough women who want them….It may be 4 and done.
I have SEVERAL of your v neck sleeveless sweater in every color plus duplicates. I have pink, white, black and navy. Love them so much. My arms have turned ugly, but these are going with me tomorrow on a vacation. Their number is A69924. I warned you these are some from your archives. Would love to see them at your drawing board maybe sleeveless again or for an 81Year fan of yours short or long sleeves. Same material and same vee
Neck. Teal. Yellow bright. Grey. Periwinkle. Brown. green.
Coral. Red. Light blue plus any color you didn’t do on this before. Any chance of this. I can not stick around forever.
Dear Georgine…that style is always on my drawing board, but that doesn’t mean that the buyers will choose them. I don’t have any coming this year
Mardi Gras necklace arrived and it is fantastic. No picture does it justice. I’m so happy I was lucky enough to get one. As always it is perfection. I posted a review on the forum.
Beryl, that’s music to my ears !
I love the style of the Marci Gras necklace. Maybe you could design a necklace with the same feeling and colors in a longer length.
I just got my Mardi Gras Necklace and it is beyond WOW!!! I love the combination, and the colors of the “stones” are so beautiful and work so well with the gold tone. This is a fun necklace. I got the black Floral Georgette Blouse and tank to wear with black crepe pants to wear for a dinner at my high school reunion. This necklace will really make it shine. I haunted QVC website after you showed it, and was lucky enough to see your info that is was finally listed. I’m so glad I did. Again thank you for the classic style with a twist that you do.
Dear gapeach…..you are the first to report on the necklace! I am so happy you love it. Please let th ladies know on the forum your review. I know everyone wants to know how those who received it like.
Dear Louis,
I purchased your whisper knit long cardigan and matching tank in black and couldn’t be more pleased. Do you know when your Linea long beads that Jac wore with the cardigan will be available for your Linea Ladies?
Thanks,
Dariann
Dear Dariann…..the delivery date is April, My show is on the 24th so I would guess around that time.
Louis, will A215615 be coming in any new colors this season? That’s the slim ankle pant in the crepe like fabric.
Yes, alabaster being one of them
LOVE those! Looking forward to alabaster and other happy surprise colors. Have doubles in navy, black and gray already. Thanks Louis!
Hi, Louis. Just wanted to give you a heads up that the Periwinkle Boho, Safari Shirt and Peplum Zip Front Top work beautifully with the Cobalt Tile print skirt and top from a couple of years ago, A255179.
It’s always so wonderful to shop your own Linea Closet!
Sheila/Sheesh
One of my all time favorite prints!
Mine, too, Louis. I bought all three sets. EVERYtime I wear one of the sets I receive compliments. No lie. It makes me want to replicate whatever it is in the outfit in everything else I wear. LOL !
Louis, today I’m wearing my moss crepe top (A273862). I love how easy this material is to wear and wash. Are there any more moss crepe items planned for 2017?
As you can see that wonderful top only sold in black, and not even a sell out, so “they” are not hot on this fabric. The short sleeve top and pant is still avail in all colors and sizes too. I only have a dress for fall planned in Moss Crepe but no other styles were selected. They also may think it’s to competitive, though that was never said.
I don’t understand! I bought all three colors with the gaucho pants and the zip front top in the Moss Crepe and live in them. They don’t wrinkle, layer with other things beautifully, and wash like a dream! I’m grateful to have all of these pieces, as I live in the deep south and wear Moss Crepe year round.
I am also a huge fan of the Moss Crepe! Have the Tunic in all 3 colours – and the Gaucho Pants! Wash – dry – wear! No fuss – and always looks fantastic!
The much anticipated Mardi Gras necklace is Sold Out in less than a week from it’s listing. Not showing a waitlist.
Actually it was listed Friday, so it’s not even 3 days!
I am not surprised. A fanciful and beautiful creation that has “originality” stamped all over it.
Now it shows avail again?
7:05 pm Central time, none available. I think there may have been one or two in carts that went back in stock and then were immediately scooped up again. I feel SO good knowing that mine is safely on its way. Waiting for it to post on QVC was nerve-racking!
Louis,
Can you give us a hint of what you have coming for spring and summer in dresses? I have a late afternoon wedding to attend in early July. I also loved your LBD A210369. So much so that I own it in a large and xsmall. It was the one dress that I held onto as my weight changed because it will never go out of style. Unfortunately right now I am somewhere in between those 2 sizes.
Louis, I had to attend a conference, and I wore your v-neck dress -vintage – A210369 (the Q number was on the tag)…and your pinstripe jacket…and I was so comfortable all day!! Thank you so much! Now my question is, my new ribbed cotton peplum jacket, which I love and just pulled out of the dryer and I don’t even have to touch it up with the iron – should we hang this or fold??? I’m concerned if I hang it will stretch at the shoulders but if I fold it will wrinkle…help!!!!
I think you can hang it. It’s the same fabric as the snap front hoodie, and I have not heard of any stretching problems. I hang my samples
Louis, any chance you could resurrect that dress? A210369 I looks so easy and versatile! Thanks for all you do for your Linea ladies.
Kate, honestly it didn’t do well the first time around. Due to so many different body types, sheath dress are a hard sell. Women love the idea of them, buy them, and return them because they weren’t right for their body type.
Louis, I sent my Byzantine 48″ station necklace (J264037) back for repair to the address that you gave me. It returned a couple of days ago, good as new. Honestly, I can’t see where they repaired it. It’s so nice to deal with such a reputable company. And thanks to you for your help!
Dear Yvette…..I am so happy to hear this. The gentleman who owns the company is just that. He has been in the jewelry business for decades and takes great pride in standing behind his product. I am very fortunate to be working with incredibly talented and dedicated people who truly take pride in their work, and it’s so much more to them then just the $. My apparel company and my Linea Body company are just as dedicated……enjoy your necklace!
Surprise! Louis is on AM Style!
Hi Louis,
I think u missed my question asked a few says ago. I was asking your advice on what seed bead necklace color would work best on your LBD A276299, the v neck gauze dress. I’m planning on wearing it to an evening wedding in April. Thanks.
.??? I did answer? Didn’t it get posted? The black, gunmetal would be my first choice,,,.then you can wear gold, or gunmetal earrings and bracelets with a black high or tar cup heeled sandal or sling back
Thank you so much Louis. (Your original response never posted.)
Mr. O I received my bluebell skirt and crinkle top. LOVE LOVE I took to my closet and found many tops to go with the skirt. when I get Summer out there will be many more. This is my favorite boho skirt and I have sooooo many. I do need the sneak peek blue necklace looked like glass that some models have worn. I wish I had it now. I did leave a critique on the Q this AM. Thanks for all the lovely clothes you have provided for me over the years.
“THE” necklace is now available to purchase!
February 23 in the mountains of Western PA and it was 67 degrees! Perfect for wearing the WN long cardigan. I have the red and wore it over the red WN v-neck. Not a perfect match, but I like it. My WN turtleneck is a match, but it was too warm for that. Whisper knit is ideal for a long cardigan. It has the perfect weight. I hope that this is a repeat item in more colors. I would like to see a light or silvery grey (and a turtleneck to match.) Wearing the cardi made it an even better day. Thanks.
Dear Gail. I’m glad to hear you gave the cardigan a try and found that it exceeded your expectations. Since they seem to be avail in almost every size in all colors I doubt that it will be coming back. I’m sorry to say that because I really thought this cardigan would have filled a gap in so many women’s wardrobes. It’s great over so many different items including sleeveless dresses.
As one who needs the plus size that is completely sold out, I’m really sad to hear this. I was able to get the black put on waitlist, before even that option was no longer available.
Louis, The issue of the long cardigan and for that matter your other pieces not selling out the first time they are presented has everything to do with the time of day you are on the air. If your time slots were in prime time they would be gone in minutes. Unfortunately, you are often on when many of us are at work.
It would be interesting for you to get a print out of your best sellers over the past 5 years and the time they were presented. I would bet $ there is a direct correlation.
You were right, I think, that it would fill a gap in the wardrobe. Maybe it does have something to do with time of presentation. Maybe people who are retired think that it doesn’t fit the casual life. I love having this to throw on over jeans just to run into town to the grocery store. This is a small town where women opt mostly for sweatshirts and windbreakers if they are not at work (and even when they are!) But, I can’t tell you how many times when I was wearing one of your pieces that I have been stopped by someone I didn’t know and complimented. I was just inside the market one day and someone tapped me on the shoulder. She said that she had followed me to say she loved my outfit and where did I get it. It was the cotton blue print long sleeve shirt and matching ankle pants. I had put the white exposed zipper vest over it. I pulled out my pad and pencil and wrote down the information for her. Now, that’s impressive.
I’ve said it before, but I’ll say bit again…..you ladies are my best advertisements!………..
Louis,
On a LBD (your v neck gauze dress A276299) which color way of your seed bead necklaces would you recommend? Will be wearing this to a spring evening wedding.I am blonde with brown eyes and fair skinned.Thank you.
I received the Zip Front Peplum jackets in Black and Aqua Mist. I ordered my usual Linea XS and the fit is perfect over a knit top. I adore the jackets – the style, the fit and both colors I ordered. Thank you, Louis, for more beautiful clothes!
PS I posted a review on QVC.
Hi Louis,
I wanted to let you know that I mailed the Anne Klein ads to the NYC address you gave me.
I hope you enjoy seeing them again.
Best regards,
Ruth
Thank you Rith! I’ll let the office know to be on the look out,
Lewis,
My collection of whisper knit skirts is wearing out, I LOVE them! I am wondering if you are planning to do move this spring and fall? i love the dress look with the whisper knit tops especially the ones that sold out that have the flare at the bottom, i just need moreThanks so much, I have so many of your clothes. I appreciate you1
Dear Meg, the only WK skirt coming this fall is a long straight skirt similar to the A257384. The only difference is it has a back slit.
Dear Louis,
I am sorry to see the peplum jacket getting such a bad rap. On other sites, ie. from Nords, there is a recommendation for all those that don’t read the fine print, to size up, or down. I wish that there was a way to do that for those that don’t know what to do with the sizing on this piece. I think that you have been very fair and forthcoming about sizing up or down and courteously attending to those of us who send you measurements and ask you to guess!
I am including my comments here and did give your peplum jacket a five star review:
” This is 100% cotton which I adore because it is a natural fiber that will breathe when the weather gets warm. It is cut larger, as Louis said when it was on the air, and I specifically sized down one size. I didn’t go down two sizes so I could layer it over another top. The fabric is like a beefy T-shirt so it looks professional enough to wear to work over a pencil skirt but is very comfortable and no pinching anywhere. It gives the style of a light ruffle at the hem, which is a big trend, without looking like a baby doll top or too structured. If I still want to make it smaller, I can always put it into the dryer. I bought the light pink to wear with black, navy and gray pencil skirts. ”
I love your twin sets and look forward to hearing about perhaps a linea leisure twin set, in the same beefy cotton as the peplum jacket???? Yes, enquiring minds are persistent!!
much success,
Debra
Louis, I don’t know how to convey my full joy to you over the clearance item I received today. I have been a monomaniacal stalker of the Grey version of your “Animal Jacquard Zip Front Jacket” (A230025) in a large. Already owning this same jacket in Olive and Chocolate, I kept hankering after the Grey, to no avail. Well, a few days ago I thought, “Okay, maybe the Topaz looks a bit like the Chocolate, but go for it.” Well, it doesn’t really look like the Chocolate at all (it arrived today). I have made a wonderful discovery that I would like to share. You can wear this beautifully fitting jacket as a top. What a fantastic and flattering top, too! This is the magic you create for me. Thank you!
I also love the animal jacquard jackets. I own several-topaz, chocolate, olive and grey. One of those jackets always goes with me when traveling. You can make so many outfits with different accessories. The jackets are cut beautifully and so slimming.
Dear Louis,
Will you be bringing us any pants in white or alabaster in the next few months?
Thanks,
Dariann
Yes
When and what kind????
inquiring minds want to know too much.
I need them ASAP!
Me too, Dariann!
Me three, Darien and Grace!
Oops! Dariann.
Regarding Seka’s request for a Linea Look Book and Louis’s reply that his sneak peek photos were based on his sketches — I use this blog and his sneak peek photos for styling ideas by entering an item description in the search feature and it brings up the past blogs and photos. It’s a great reference and resource. Haven’t tried searching by item number but that may work, too.
Julia
Searching by item number does work as well.
Seed beads are April?? Mardi Gras – February?? What about the gold and wooden beads in black and natural?
The seed beads, wood beads and the new cuff are all being delivered in April, but when they will post them I have no idea. The Mardi Gras necklaces are at QVC, but I don’t know when they will get posted either??????
Louis- Sad to say the peplum top arrived and it’s not for me. So well made and the material is great, just not flattering on my body type. But that aqua mist color. WOW!
Do I remember you writing there will be other choices in that color? Floral shirt and boho skirt are great. So is the long cardi I will leave a great review. Thanks!
Daer Diane, sorry to hear the peplum didn’t work out, but there will be another two choices in the Aqua mist that might work better. Glad to hear you are pleased with the floral shirt ans boho skirt
Louis- Great news about the Aqua Mist. I left 5 star reviews
today for the floral boho, floral top and long cardi.
I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of your seed bead necklaces! Unfortunately I was too slow “on the draw” last time and missed out. I am trying to decide which 2 colors to purchase. The black is a given, as a Leo and lover of ALL things green, I am leaning towards the lime. Finally, my question is, will the lime go with the poppy red safari shirt? I know you showed it with turquoise, but I did see some green there as well.( I haven’t purchased the blouse yet.) Thank you.
1jac, my fellow Leo and “patriotissa,” forgive me for responding before Louis, but I have the Poppy Red safari shirt and the lime seed bead necklace. As a Leo, you must buy the lime necklace because, honestly, it looks so much like peridot. I once wrote about my having some peridot earrings that Lisa Robertson sold to us on QVC, and this necklace’s beads look so much like the peridot found in those authentic-stone earrings.
Of course I slapped my lime seed bead necklace up against my Poppy Red shirt, and for me, the lime is passable but sort of gets lost. Now I understand why Louis selected the turquoise seed bead to enhance the shirt, and enhance it, it does. I own the turquoise seed bead necklaces, and, in person, that necklace is dynamic on the Poppy Red shirt.
Louis is the master, though, and I am anxious to learn what he thinks on this.
Now I have forced you to buy all three. If you wear black near to your face, you would not be wrong in trying to own all three seed bead necklaces.
You are indeed the devil miss Goldie!!! I adore turquoise too and I have a beautiful pair of earrings that would look smashing with the turquoise necklace. I am curious to know what Louis, our fellow Leo thinks. Let’s hope they are on EZ pay!! While I’m here, I’d like to ask my Linea sisters to give a shout out when the necklaces become available. I don’t want to miss out again.
Dear Goldie….I’m a little confused. Why do you say if your a Leo you must have the Peridot when Ruby is our birth stone?…….Not sure what you are asking my opinion of? I love all of the seed bead colors and see them worn on many things…..Prints are always tricky, and I felt the same way you did about the lime on the poppy. That’s why I chose the turq, which really stood out , and looked very American Indian…You know I love to double things up and the mixed colors looks outrageous….that’s if you can carry it…BTW…it’s all 4 seed bead necklaces….LOL
Louis, I was waiting to read your response. I have only recently learned that, as Leos, we have several birthstone choices. My mother brought me up with peridot as my birthstone, and she followed the jewelry store guidelines. For August babies, it is/used to be the stone most often cited. I just read online that on the Hindu calendar, it would be ruby, as it is for July babies on the same guide that suggests peridot for August babies. The sardonyx and cameo are also possible choices for us. Oh, I forgot the fourth seed bead necklace! Was it tangerine?
Dear Goldie…Well it goes to show….you’re never to old to learn something new. I never new that about Peridot and Leo’s. Since I’m July I guess I’m ruby……Tangerine is the color. I’m sure it will be the last to sell, but I love it. It looks fantastic mixed with the turquoise.
I’m a July baby too but a Moonchild (Cancer). My MIL was a Leo with a peridot birthstone.
And that’s the one I want. Talk about popping! And as yet another Leo,I,too, have only ever heard of peridot as our birthstone, but the more the merrier. If some maharajah wants to give me rubies because he thinks it’s my birthstone, I’m certainly not going to correct him.
I just googled July Birthstone……Ruby was the answer that came up
Right as rain. August is Peridot.
Personally, I like the turquoise with the poppy better……The lime will go but it doesn’t have the same POP.
Hello Louis, will there be any type of ‘twin set’ coming for spring into summer?
Thank you, Leegalee
Not as a sweater knit. Selling sweaters for summer is very slow
What will you be “twinning,” Louis. Am I detecting a hidden promise of a set but in a fabric that is not Whisper Knit? Maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part.
You little detective….the answer is yes, but that’s all I’m saying!!!!!
Yippee!
Louis – I think you should do a Look Book from your sketches – of what is coming – so we can plan our outfits for upcoming events such as vacations, weddings etc.
Dear Seka…..the sneak peeks photos are the same as the sketches.
THANK YOU, Goldie, for thinking outside the box, and THANK YOU, Louis, for the ‘hope’ of a twin set. Hope you both have a lovely day!
Thank you for your response!
Louis,
Will there be new pants this year in the Linea Leisure collection?
Thank you!
No….they haven’t selected any for this year.
Dear Louis,
I just received my bluebell georgette set and it is a wow of an outfit. I really didn’t think that I could wear the boho look because of my size, but your lovely design put the lie to that thought. As my review on the Q states, this print “whispers” beautiful and is very ladylike, but current and timeless. The top tames the hip area of the boho skirt for me and the genius of putting the fullness at the thigh instead of the hip is why you are the designer women love. Thank you again for another outfit that takes me out of my comfort zone and puts the fun back into dressing like a lady.
Dear Wendy, I am very pleased you stepped out of your comfort zone and gave the Boho a try. You will find as summer approaches and it gets hotter and hotter that this is not only a beautiful skirt, but a very comfortable and COOL skirt. I have never, and that’s saying something, have been told by anyone that owns it that it is not cool and comfortable. I do want my ladies to step out of the box, but I never ask them to go too far, because the clothes are, after all is said and done…..classic.
Half of my order from the show this week has arrived. First time THAT has ever happened. Maybe it’s because I moved FARTHER away this summer 😉 All I can say Louis is just plain “WOW”! I am so thrilled with my choices. Settled first on the black print georgette top and bottom, all the white tees I could still get in my size (2 of them)as well as one in black and one in navy, and 2 of the peplum jackets. After that first order I was disheartened to read a Q review describing the peplum jacket as “huge”. Disappointed, I waited for my order to arrive and just tried the first half on. In my 3X plus size top, (I’m a 2X, sometimes less in skirts/pants and 5’7″ tall) this jacket is beyond perfect for what I wanted! AND, bonus, I really like the black-print georgette top under both the aqua mist and the pink. And a white tee? You bet! The peplum is comfy but not baggy or boxy. I like it zipped both zips up about mid chest. Looks fabulous. I wanted something I could wear this summer to a reunion with my children/grandchildren along the northern Maine coast – Bar Harbor. These jackets will be perfect! AND I will look good and be comfy effortlessly. Not to mention being able to throw stuff into the washer without regret. Hips and tummy disappear in these – even when the bottom is left open. You just do not look there. That sounds lame, but true. Putting the black and the periwinkle on waitlist and might get lucky there. Your incredibly artful designs are why I am a loyal Linea customer for so many years! And the simplicity is always deceiving – but it is what MAKES the outfit. Now I will happily await the second half of my order this week – the bluebell print set, the lemon set and the periwinkle set – all in the summer friendly georgette. Oh yes, and the cobalt Y necklace. I know I’m going to get maximum mix-and-match mileage out of this next cluster as well. And I am so “set” for my summer needs. Heartfelt thanks as always!
Dear Nancy…..I am so happy everything is working out for you. Bar Harbor is a wonderful place and your selection will be perfect. You will be the belle of Bar Harbor…..enjoy!
😊 Thank you for everything,Louis!
Louis,
I have been making jewelry for quite some time and have sold a ton. Last year when you had the beautiful seed bead necklace and it sold out before I could get one, I had the hair brain idea I would try to make one myself. Well, needless to say, I JUST now got finished with it. 30″long, in lime and gold, 6 strands with pinched barrel endings, lobster claw clasp.Yup, it took me a solid year to make, so the price you are charging for yours is worth every tiny little bead. What a job this was to undertake. Strung it bead by bead by bead ……
NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!Makes a person appreciate the goods offered.
I will buy yours instead.
Dear Shari. I am glad you understand the difficulty in making one of these. When there are stations of colors and then the addition of another bead the difficulty multiples. Even though they are made in China it still takes trained people with patience and skill to make one at a time.
Yes! The problem or difficulty was getting the darn seed beads and barrel beads to stay on the string to get the next string going and when there are multiple strings, OH MY!! And counting those tiny beads as you go , so you come out even!!!!!
I only had six strands and yours are what? 10 or 12!!
I was ready to pull my hair out trying to get the strings that were done to lay just so, while stringing the next string with the beads and the prior ones remaining on their string, without bumping it and losing the whole business!! ( a loud errrrr!)
Anyway, looking forward to purchasing an already done beaded necklace!
This gives non-jewelry makers an insight into the labor invested in the seed bead necklace. Thank you, Shari. We appreciate what Louis brings to us even more with this understanding.
Oh, thank YOU, Goldie. That was sweet of you to make mention.
I simply adore Louis’ jewelry, even more now!!
Thank you for sharing this. I have this necklace in two colors and have worn them constantly (I think the black/”onyx” is becoming my signature). I’ve seen similar necklaces in stores, but they have fewer strands and don’t seem to be as well made. And, they are in the $200.00 range (the one I saw yesterday in Nordstrom was more than that and it had 5 strands).
While I would not advise rough treatment, I have to say that I’ve caught mine on things when bending down and standing up, and it’s held together.
Linea is always a great deal; these necklaces are IMHO, a real steal.
Kate, I’m glad you mentioned to advise against rough treatment. Just the nature of this type of necklace, as opposed to a strong chain, requires care, and not to treat it like you would a non “string” necklace. The better care everyone takes the longer they will last
I can atest to that, being I made sure that the one I made was on “superman” strength beading thread.
Loved the shows. Added 5tops ..the black duster and a black WK skirt. All arrived and are just lovely!,, Any chance of reorders on white WK skirt? Am wearing Linea pot E pants and WKTK with a beautiful AK wool jacket in a medium size black and red check..dolman sleeves and shawl collar It is a shorter ..fitted style with a V neckline and 4 beautiful buttons .They are medium size half sphere …rounded ….shape .Aflat rim on the bottom witthawide gold fluted section curving to the top which is centered with a small raised black opaque black stone .Allthis to ask for an earring….clipped please ..if you can decipher this awful description. Love and thanks to you and Jac
I don’t know about the skirt…..do you mean the Ivory? So far I doubt it, but if they sell more then I can try and push, but they would have to almost sell out.
Louis, I continually try to buy the ivory skirt, but it has been sold out in anything below 1x since summer. I had to send the xl back for l, so ordered the black. There has been nothing available except plus sizes for a long time.love this skirt and I need ivory!
Dear Teri…..I hear you and I’m with you, but it’s going to be difficult to convince the buyers. Yes all of the small sizes are gone, and only the larger sizes remain, which is a problem. I am sure if the larger women watch Maria in the video of the long cardigan with the tank and ivory skirt they would feel more comfortable buying an ivory skirt. They just have to be careful with the tops they choose, but there are plenty of options. As I said I will bring it up at the appropriate time, but with slow sales I have little hope.Even the red and heather charcoal skirts didn’t do as well as hoped and they are a little longer. Where are the skirt ladies??
Dear Louis,
Would the Seagreen Whisper Knit V-Neck Sweater (A259623) go with the Seagreen Faux Silk Pants (A251590)? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Dear WwF, I checked and I no longer have the pants to compare…..sorry I will look to see if I still have a swatch???
Thanks, Louis. I appreciate it.
Louis, need to Change my wish list for the colors of WK long Cardigan & tunic tank. Would prefer it in Persian Blue. Returned from new art exhibit and the Persian Blue textiles felt fresh, new and captivating. Putting in a special request for this color in Whisper Knit long cardigan, tunic tank and any other WK you’d like to design for us. As always, many thanks.
Persian Blue (ISCC-NBS #178)
About these coordinates Color coordinates
Hex triplet #0067A5

CMYKH (c, m, y, k)
Is this a color I’ve used before or something you just saw?
The persian blue double breasted peacoat and the persian blue V neck (A259108) sweater. Beautiful color.
It’s a color I just saw. Like SKYY vodka bottle.
Louis, like the blue in Greek buildings. The white houses and churches with that amazing rich blue color on the roof domes and gates. It’s that breathtaking blue of Greece pottery, tile, roofs, paint. The SKYY vodka bottle color also reminds me of Greece. We so need this color in Whisper knit. You know how WK ENR color takes color so saturated like silk.
CC….you should look at the Lapis Blue tank, A253408, a WK tank…..I think this is the color you are looking for?
Hmm, thanks for getting the grey cells going. Bluebell set not here yet but would your lighter blue demim jacket and demim vest work with it?
Dear Nancy…checked the bluebell print with the light denim, white denim and yellow denim, and they all work……I will say the washed denim is a little muted next to the print, but they do look fine together. I personally prefer the white and yellow for a brighter look, but that’s just me.
I’m THRILLED! And since I have all the denim colors you mentioned, in both vest and jacket, I am feeling Very Grateful indeed for how much mileage I will get from this gorgeous print set! 🙂
