Ladies, stalking items just paid off for me! I just got the leather jacket in wine size 14. I have been checking several times a day. Now I need to get another reefer coat. Keep trying!

  2. Rochelle

    Hello Louis,
Will the petite version of A268216 which I thought to be scheduled for release after the first of the year, be coming in Fawn? I know you may not want to tip your hand, yet I’d love to save those alteration dollars to spend on more Linea items.
I may be off on the dates…as Blackberry has a Nov release. Kindly advise. Thanks for your time and attention!

    1. louis dell'olio

No….all the colors are new except black

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Rochelle, the Blackberry pant will be on The Morning Show this coming Friday. The Boot Cut Ponte pant will be avail next Feb in new colors plus black……not Fawn

  3. Grace

    Dear Louis,

I realize it may be too early to know…but, if the WK “perfect-in-every-way” midi skirt gets reordered, navy and fawn would be highest on my wish list for new colors.

  4. WNYGAL/APRIL

    Morning, Louis,
Here’s an amusing little corporate QVC moment I thought I’d share. After writing my review last night of the reefer coat, my beautiful, perfectly fitting, couldn’t be any better if it tried reefer coat, 5 star, recommended to everybody reefer coat, I hit submit. QVC censor says, “NO”. I have used inappropriate language. Now, in real life, I may curse like a sailor’s parrot, but what the double hockey sticks could I have said about this wonderful reefer coat that I, a former English teacher & editor have missed in a tweet length review that got the QVC computer’s knickers into such a bunch? I’m sure by now you’ve guessed it. REEFER. I had to go back & change it to “blazer coat”, a term known only to QVC. God bless everyone; I’m going out for a smoke.

    1. Bernadette

      That’s hysterical. 😃
Thank you for a much needed mid day chuckle.
      Have a terrific weekend WNYGAL/APRIL.

    2. HV Nancy

      Awesome! Laughing my bud off!!

    3. louis dell'olio

They should have googled it before they deemed it inappropriate…God bless them

    4. Kate

You have saved me the trouble of writing a review titled, “Reefer Madness” as I planned to do!

  5. Debra

    Dear Louis,
With the crazy response to the reefer coat, is there another production to come? I goofed, but never having purchased a coat from you before, I didn’t know how it would fit. (I should have gotten an 8 instead of a 10, in Port, but there is no stock to exchange with. Anyone want to swap?)
I would love it in a long blazer style that I could wear in the office all day over my WK turtleneck with a snugger fit. Obviously, so would many others.

This past show sold out of almost everything – surely Linea has gotten the attention of the buyers at QVC with the great success of so many of your pieces.

Any word on the upcoming shows’ sneak peeks and the TSV?

    thanks so much,
    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra…..If the coat is reordered it will be next year….keep checking….they always show up. I’m sure you are not the only one to order the wrong size…no TSVs, but Big Deals for Dec. and 3 next spring/summer

      1. Debra

You are so kind to say. Besides the pants, what other Big Deal is coming? I am loving my midi skirts and tunic sweaters. Your clothing has been my “uniform” for years with many twin sets and skirts.

I have had the privilege to wear your clothing in 5 sizes (going down, thankfully!) and the classic colors, quality, fit and easily worn separates have filled my closet for years. You are the only designer I never miss (and only purchase clothing from) on the Q.

    2. louis dell'olio

Since the BD is coming in july we will have to keep it a surprise a little longer, but it is a WK.

    3. unpeudemoi, aka Patricia

Re: corporate QVC moments. I tried to write a review on your recent WK Petite V-neck Fawn dress, which I adore BTW, but there is no “review” button on the web page, nor are there any reviews on the WK Petite V-neck Dress incidently so I went to my order status page where there is a “write a review” button. Search as I may, I couldn’t find any record of this purchase, hence no way to review your incredible dress. Since I paid on easy pay, I was able to find a record that this transaction actually occurred, but alas, still no ability to input a review. So, I called QVC customer service to illuminate the above, as well as letting them know I was doing QVC, your self and anyone else wishing to give an opinion. I’m certain you’ll have more “clout” to get this corrected than I. Thanks.

      1. louis dell'olio

        Patricia…..not much more then you!

  6. Grace

    Dear Louis,

My haul arrived and I love everything–the reefer coats, dress, trumpet blouse, cowl neck sweater, leather jackets, and tan pants. I did want to mention that I had some issues with sizing on the dress, which almost never happens to me with Linea! I ordered up one size, thinking this WK dress would fit the same as the prior one did from a few years ago. My mistake, as the dress was too big for me. But, the fawn dress was several sizes too large and I advised CS. I trust this is an isolated issue with the sizing, but I did want you to know. Fortunately, sizes were still available in the fawn and I’ve ordered both a medium and a small–covering my bases–so at least I’ll have one of these gorgeous dresses. Truly, it is perfection, and I hope there is a reorder next year! At least, I’ll know what size to order!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Grace sorry to hear of your problem with the dress. I did advise to order the dress as you would have ordered a swing sweater. Would that have worked??

      1. Grace

Louis, yes, that would have worked! My swing sweaters are all mediums…I read this blog regularly, but somehow missed your wise advice. But, to be honest, I wasn’t concerned about the sizing at all before I ordered & didn’t mull it over much. Lesson learned. Do you think there’s a fair chance this dress gets reordered?

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear Grace, since it sold out…that’s a plus, but if the returns are too high then no. It will take over 3 months with the Christmas return policy to know if it is a candidate for reorder.

  7. Kate

While it will be a very long time until its cool enough to wear this outfit, I am in love. The port reefer coat, port tunic, last year’s shorter WK ENR black skirt…and the black trapeze necklace. I look like I’m wearing 5K worth of Armani or Kors. But, even better, I’m actually wearing a priceless collection from the great LDO! If I could have a matching port skirt, I would in heaven. Oh, and we need gloves from you, too.

    1. Goldie76

Another endorsement for a Port WK skirt here!

    2. louis dell'olio

Dear Kate….I’m assuming you mean a short Port WK skirt???I think with temps in the 100s in LA you’ll have to take a trip east to wear your clothes.

      1. Kate

Yes, a short WK skirt. I know the longer ones are more popular, but I am over the moon with the shorter ones of the past. And, I have a trip to NYC next month and plan to bring this outfit.

  8. Jen

It’s me again. Today I received the black reefer coat. I’m a medium in your tops so I went with the size 12 in the coat and it fits great. What a beautiful classic coat! Louis your shows are always great but last week were some of my favorite. I loved the colors you chose on everything. I’m an art major so I appreciate color. The show you had with Amy Stran I really enjoyed because she is my favorite host and you could tell she liked everything you were showing. I went back and ordered the new crepe top in the violet haze. I will wear that on Christmas Eve with my blackberry bead necklace. Thanks for bringing us such wonderful things. My closet was ugly until I started buying Linea. Take care.

  9. Helen Connor

Louis, My first time watching your show last week on QVC and fell in love with everything!!!When are you going to bring back the green patina fish set and Etrascan set. Fell in love with them and they were all gone. Will they be back in your show in Nov?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Helen….welcome to the world of Linea…..”If” they reorder the Green Patina items it will take months to get here.

  10. Jen

Hi Louis. Do you have any leisure pants or joggers coming in for the winter? I am in need of them in black, grey or taupe.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jen….I have the Leisure pull on pant coming back either Jan or Feb.

      1. Jen

Oh I’m so happy! I will be ordering as soon as I see them. I have 5 of your hoodies and I need pants to go with. Thank you!

  11. Jane J.

Good morning, Louis, Are there going to be any turtlenecks in alabaster? Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There isn’t one planned yet, but if they reorder it, Alabaster is high on the list.

      1. Jane J.

Thanks, Louis. I thought an alabaster TN would be great with the new leather/knit jacket. Here’s hoping!

          1. Grace

Casting one more vote for an alabaster TN! Perfect with the gorgeous new alabaster leather jacket.

  12. Jean

Love the tunnel neck sweater would this look good going up a size? I am size large in your sweaters but wondered if going up to xl for oversized look would work? Want this for casual wear love my wk swing t/ne is ordered 2 and they are fabulous. Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jean, I actually prefer the sweater to look a little oversized, so yes I think you can easily size up. If Imade them oversized then there would be complaints that they are too big so we keep them pretty “basic” in sizing. If you do order up a size let me know how you like it!

      1. Jean

Thank you so much for your reply much appreciated. Ordering the blue and cashew now yahoo! will definitely let you know how they feel in the larger size. Again thank you very excited!

    2. Pamela

Good Evening Louis. Love all of my new outfits! Wondering, however, if possible to shorten the wk sleeves on the leather jackets and if so are there any specific instructions I might give my tailor? She is talented but would HATE to ruin my 2 jackets. I suppose I could turn under or JOOGE? Really dont like rolled up sleeves on this type garment. Thanks so much Louis!!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pamela….there is no way to shorten the sleeve from the bottom.someone who is expert at this could take the sleeve out and shorten from the top….but the sleeve is tapered at the bottom so it may become too tight. I would leave it alone.

  13. Tylerpoo

Louis, I am very satisfied with all of my items, especially the leather jackets in wine and alabaster. Will there be any more “fawn items”? Please bring back the mock neck sweater tops, in navy, fawn, grey. I have the aubergine which matches the wine colors. Thanks for all that you do for us.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Tylerpoo. There will not be any more Fawn for the season. A coat, a TN, a dress and a pant is it for the season.

  14. Sylvia Pickich

I got my wine whisper knit swing dress today, and, Louis, I just have to tell you that I LOVE it!!! I rarely wear dresses anymore. I bought the dress in a petite small, even though I am 5′ 5″ tall. The length is exactly where I want it to be. The dress is amazing!!! I love the v neck! It is a WOW dress! I tried it on with black suede boots. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  15. Lee from Minnesota

Love all my port pieces: coat, pant, sweater. Looking through my closet to see what else I can wear with them and found a beautiful silk ascot that I purchased probably back in the 1980s — it is port with alabaster polka dots and it matches perfectly with my Linea alabaster button down shirt and the new port pieces. I looked at the label and it reads ‘Anne Klein ll’. Louis, do I have you to thank for this?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Lee…..honestly, I didn’t design AKII, but I over saw everything, so,in an indirect way the answer is yes. The port will look, wonderful with an Alabaster shirt and your scarf.

      1. LeefromMinnesota

        Good style endures!

  16. Grace

    Dear Louis,

Do you know when QVC will be posting the Flower and Crackle Bead set?

I’m still waiting for my “haul” of goodies from your latest appearances. I do feel sorry for my nice UPS guy lugging those big boxes to my doorstep! Can’t wait to get everything!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It is supposed to be posted for my Nov 3rd appearance. I will be on the Morning Show any 7am

      1. Grace

        Thanks, Louis!

  17. Debra

    Dear Louis,

I know that you were concerned at first about the popularity of A295878 but I LOOOVE my two in the Port and the Black. They are marvelous with pencil skirts and the longer length hides some of the tight areas on the pull up spandex kind with side slits for ease of movement. I wish I had one to wear now in the Charcoal Gray.

In order to get more colors, does it need to wait until F/W 18? Have you determined the next Whisper Knit items to arrive before holiday? What about the Big Deal?

I think that you have proven that dresses and skirts are extremely popular because they sold out so very quickly.

Also, I hope that you don’t mind me mentioning this here, but I am a huge fan of your gunmetal items. I love the finish. Although many are waiting for the bar earrings to be approved for next year, I do hope that your fans will try your Gunmetal necklaces now. If you are the type of person who needs to match her accessories, Robert Lee Morris currently has two sizes of dangling oval hoops out in what he calls a “hematite” finish (google it). After checking first, they are an exact match to your gunmetal finish so that I can be coordinated now. Perhaps that will get more people to try a finish, that they may not have before, out of concern of what to wear with them.

    thanks,
    Debra

  18. Jane J.

Hi Louis, Just wanted to let you know that I received my two reefer coats (port and black) and the alabaster leather jacket (black is still In Process). I purchased the two reefer coats even though I own three of the trench coats. The reefer is a lovely simple classic coat — timeless in style. The alabaster leather jacket is beautiful and quite substantial in weight. I ordered the larger of my normal numeric sizes in the leather jacket after seeing the tight fit on Leah (sorry, but she needed to size up). Even though the knit portions of the jacket have lots of stretch, I wanted an “easier” look. You will be happy to know that both the reefers and the leather jacket were packaged beautifully — with lots of tissue paper and shipped in sturdy cartons — thank you QVC. You did beautiful work on these garments — thank you, Louis!

  19. Goldie76

    Dear Louis,

    I am in seventh heaven!

My Reefer coat in Port, Whisper Knit dress in Wine, green patina jewelry and Wing Collar Shirt in Port arrived. Where do I begin to sing your praises?

That coat! That coat, Louis, waves a magic wand and slashes off pounds. It makes the wearer look so sleek and chic.

The neckline on the WK dress is more than I could wish for. The way it fits along the shoulders and collar bone is poetry.

As for your green patina jewelry, the fish has moved to the head of his “school” as my favorite, overtaking even shiny gold.

In the blouse, I feel spiffy and sophisticated.

Thank you so much for all of this, Louis. You are a bona fide genius!

  20. Sylvia Pickich

Another vote for tights! We want tights that we know will match our clothes!!! And bar earrings!

    1. Rochelle

      Hello Louis,
Awhile back I’d suggested a tummy control or control top for your tights. Another feature I would appreciate would be reinforced toe and heels. This feature gives additional strength and longevity during the boot wearing season.

I truly hope that the buyers will see the need to restock tights in the Linea colors soon.

Kind regards to both you and Jac.

      1. Grace

I’d love any new rendition of Linea tights and the control tops would be terrific!

    2. Karen In WI

Yes LOVE Linea tights! It would actually be nice to have a few pair of the footless tights to wear with winter boots. I always wear warm wool socks anyway

  21. Kate

So, it is too early to start making requests for A/W 2018?

Hopefully there will be a 2018 coat. I would love a wrap style with faux fur cuffs. Something that can work day or night or special holiday events.

    And, more skirts, please.

And, more of your amazing pearls. Smaller size bead, shorter length.

    And, tights.

    Thank you.

    1. Maia

Definitely want tights! And hose and a wrap coat.

      1. Grace

A midi or maxi coat would be great and one that could also work with evening wear would be ideal.

  22. Angela

    Louis,

Thank you for making me a well-dressed woman.
Your appearances on QVC really help educate us on how to dress in an elegant, timeless, and classy manner.
I appreciate your thoughtfulness in your designs as well as the time you take to explain the features of each piece in your
collection and why they will fit well on our bodies.

Before finding you on QVC I had no idea how to build a wardrobe of classic, well-tailored pieces that all work well together.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU for making me feel so confident and happy every morning when I slide my closet door open.
You are appreciated more than you know.

    Kind regards,
    Angela

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Angela….thank you for your kind words. I try to make dressing easy and FUN…..all the time looking well put together and elegant, timeless, sophisticated refined…..and CURRENT……….looking good should not be difficult if you have the right pieces.

  23. Midwest Sharon

Louis, caught your show this past weekend on the Q. I guess I totally missed the fish necklace as I could not locate it at .com. I did, however, read comments about it in the blog. Maybe next time!

Also, I kept waiting for a comment about the beret the girls were wearing. Is it available? Where?

I did make a couple of purchases. Can’t wait for them to arrive!!!!!
    Thanks.

    1. Connie

It’s on eBay look for the Polish company. I ordered one, $11 plus shipping

    2. louis dell'olio

Yes Sharon the berets are from e-bay…..the company is Jedrzejko. As Connie said, it’s a Polish company. They are a good quality 100% wool berets.

  24. Donna Aflague

    Hi Louis,
You must be exhausted after so many shows. You are always delightful to watch. My daughter and 1 1/2 year old granddaughter were visiting from San Francisco during your recent shows so I recorded them. I ordered the reefer coat and leather jacket the minute they were posted but had to watch your shows after they aired. My daughter watched with me and when she saw the reefer coat, she said I love it and want it in black and fawn. The black was sold out in her size but she did get the fawn color. After watching your shows, she commented, “Mom, I think you’ve converted me to your designer.” While talking to her about your designs, I made a comment about talking to you on email and she started laughing. Mom, she said shaking her head, he is a busy designer and there is no way he emails answers to your questions. I said, sure he does. She commented, he may have staff doing it but it is not him. Then I laughed at her and said you don’t know Louis!!! He does it all!!! Jac, we missed you and hope your back is feeling better.
    Donna from California

  25. Debra

    Hi All,
I guess I am confused – what is a “hit” mean? Also, more shows on Saturday which is good for some, but not all of us. I hate to miss them. Perhaps, someone can explain what that means and is it only available at that time, or in advance as well?

I went to the fish necklace as someone mentioned, but there is no waitlist option for Copper or Silver yet.

What other items are coming for holiday? are they clothing or jewelry related and does Holiday mean November or December?

    thanks for your patient answers,
    Debra

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Debra….let me explain….a “hit” is QVC LINGO for an item that is presented on a generic show that features mutli vendors. It has nothing to do with a vendor’s one hour show where all product is from one vendor. My Saturday leather jacket was a ‘hit” on Leah’s show. Used in a sentence….I had one hit on Leah’s show. All items on the morning show,PM Style, Inspired Style, Carolyn’s Closet etc. etc. are considered to be “hits” from different vendors. A “hit” is the equivalent of an item.

      1. Debra Kurtz

        Dear Louis,
Thank you for your gracious explanation and use in a sentence. Now, I have been properly educated. 🙂

I may not catch all of the hits, but I continue to look for “Linea new” daily.

        Best,
        Debra

  26. vickybliss

    November, 3rd, Friday. ….This will be a “hit”, but I don’t have a time
November 4th, Sat…. this will be a “hit” at 7am
Louis I just understood that hit means a single item in the show, and not a 5 star item. We would like to know what two “hits” are heading our way.

    1. louis dell'olio

That is a surprise. However one you have already heard me speak of….the new Super Ponte slim pant. The other is a Holiday item

      1. vickybliss

Thank you so much for the hint. We are all guessing. I say a jacket or sweater. In any case, we are ready with our Christmas stockings wide open.

  27. Chris S.

    Good Morning,

Are your trouser socks still expected to be in stock this fall? I placed a waitlist order for the winter white at the end of July and I received an email this morning saying that it had been cancelled. I purchased the winter white pants and am looking forward to the trouser socks to match.

I enjoyed the shows this week and added the dress and coat to my collection of Linea.

    Thank you!

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Chris…..I don’t know why they sent you a cancellation????? As a matter of fact I was talking to the buyer and manufacturer last week about the shipment to make sure everything was on schedule, and they are good to go……They should be avail by end Nov. early Dec. for Holiday gift giving. Exactly when they will be posted on the Q depends on them. There is tons of merch coming in for the Holidays!

    2. Karen in WA

I also got that cancellation letter on the socks. Been waiting for the winter white.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t know why this notification is going out…..they have not been canceled!

        1. Carol

There’s a time clock on waitlist orders. If the amount of time for a waitlist passes, the item is cancelled and you will have to reorder. This happens frequently when they post items into the system that are not available. Not to worry, except that you will need to reorder when it’s posted for sale.

  28. Jackie

Well….five new Linea pieces are coming my way. Louis, I am loving the column of color options presented this season, especially the port turtleneck and reefer coat. I picked up a few alabaster pieces adding to my collection, the black trapeze necklace, and the swing turtleneck in blue mist which is a color that looks good with my reddish hair. I have been buying Linea long enough that I can buy with confidence knowing my items will fit. I wear your clothes even when I am at home all day. My husband says, “you look nice today, is that from Louis” and I just have to smile!

    1. louis dell'olio

Jackie….I like your husband……a man who appreciates his wife is A Okay with me!

      1. Jackie

After 33 years of marriage I can still say he is my cutie and best friend. As long as he loves me in Linea, I’ll keep buying!! I will be waiting for the November-December collections.

  29. Beryl

    Dear Louis,
Loved your shows but please tell Jac we missed her and wish her a speedy recovery. I am familiar with back problems. Not fun.
I want to thank you for sticking with the Verdigris. My fish just arrived and I’m in love. Don’t tell husband I love someone beside him.

    1. Pamela

Dear Louis! So excited about all of the new SHARP things I have coming! You’re amazing, thank you! My poor UPS guy! Oh well, job security yes?..lol. Question? The silver fish..I have on WL for some reason thinking it is matte. Am I wrong? Is it shiny fish. Because I own two of those already. Thanks Louis.Hope you have a beautiful day of rest!

      1. louis dell'olio

Dear Pamela….the fish will be shiny for Spring…….this time around one eye is clear which makes it totally universal and works with everything, and the other side is a jonquil yellow…..I love silver and yellow.

        1. Pamela

Wonderful! No reason why silver fish can’t multiply, especially with silver and yellow..gives me opportunity to wear with my Yurman pieces as well! I love Linea! Thanks so much!

    2. louis dell'olio

Dear Beryl….I will definitely pass your good wishes to her…..Are you a friend on her Face book page….at this point she has more friends then me!!!

  30. Joanne

    Louis
Thanks for keeping your colors the same. I am wearing today my new wine boot cut super ponte pants and last year’s wine V neck swing sweater in wine. A perfect match and a great outfit. A perfect column of color.

At work yesterday I wore your asymmetrical navy tunic from last spring with my navy straight leg pants from last year. Perfect match.

As you have said a great column of color.

    1. louis dell'olio

WOW….two beautiful outfits! I’m willing to bet you were the best dressed woman in the office

  31. Judy

Wonderful show on Friday! When you were presenting the super ponte pant, you said they were coming in petite, when will that be? I hope soon. I bought several pair and will have them hemmed, but would love to have the petite.

    1. louis dell'olio

The new colors and petite version will be coming in Feb, but not in the colors I just showed….maybe black, but I don’t remember.

      1. Goldie76

I am looking forward to the “petite ponte,” Louis. Finally we shorter ladies get to try this celebrated pant.

Louis, I just want you to know that your collections, since this past Spring, have been exceptional to the point of exquisiteness. What I mean by this, I don’t exactly know but feel. What I do know for certain is that I do not find fashions and jewelry anywhere that thrill me as yours do. And I’m obviously not alone. Your aesthetic speaks to a large swath of the population, as is apparent.

Thank you so much for the talent, skill, hard work and joy you bring to these fashions and their remarkable presentation!

        1. Frieda

I agree Goldie. Thank you for saying it so well for all of us who appreciate Louis and what he does for us.

  32. Ruth

Dear Louis, Your shows have been outstanding! I love all your styles and the reefer coat especially.
Forgive me if this has already been stated – are you bringing us a slim leg super ponte pant? I feel like If so, what colors? Thanks, Ruth

    1. louis dell'olio

Yes Ruth. They will be coming this Nov. not sure of the date….probably for my appearance. The colors are Steel Grey which is much darker then the Smoke, Black and Blackberry to go with all of the Blackberry tops. I just showed them with the Violet Mist blouse on Angela.

      1. Ruth

Thanks for your response. They look fabulous on Angela with the violet mist blouse. I have the new Wing Collar Blouse with Swing Hem in Blackberry so I should get the pants in blackberry. And I know for certain that I will order the pants in the Black and the Steel Grey. I feel that I should thank you especially for the grey because I asked for narrow gray pants on some of your requests for choices of colors. And here they are! Thank you Louis. You’re the best!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Ruth, I remember the request was made to do a dark grey, and it stayed with me. I hope you like it

  33. Sylvia Pickich

I got my fish today Louis, and I LOVE IT!!! So glad we were able to get them. (my husband said he likes this little fishy the best!)
I noticed some of the models wearing bar earrings???? Tell the buyers your Linea Ladies WANT them!!!

    1. Kathy/Wis

Another vote for the bar earrings. Would be nice to have them in sets of three different colors, just a thought.

    2. louis dell'olio

It’s been a big discussion, and there are some cracks in the wall!

      1. Sheesh

Too funny! Tell the buyer that we are like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction and “we will not be denied” our Bar Earrings!

        Sheesh

    3. Katie Lyles

I really want the bar earrings also. I got the necklace in every color so that would finish the outfit. I hope they will hear us.Louis on one of your shows Saturday, you said the silver fish was “reordered”. I look for it several times a day but haven’t seen it. Thank you for all the Beautiful clothes.I wish Jac we wish her a speedy recovery. Beleive me when I say I feel her pain. I am a nurse and worked in Labor and Delivery for 20+ years (when we didn’t have a special bed for patients to deliver right in the room). I had to pull thousands of patients that were over 200lbs over to the delivery table with only me and every nurse I know that did that has wrecked their backs. It was so good to watch all your shows. Thanks again.

  34. Joanne

    Hi Louis
Great shows today and yesterday. The green patina necklace is already sold out. I am glad I purchased mine yesterday. It looks like a beauty.

  35. By the C

You have had outstanding shows these past 2 days! Even, somehow, better than expected. And I don’t like t comment on appearances but have to add that you are looking younger by the moment. Did really miss Jac however.

Thanks for the “longer” coats–I know I will love the Reefer. And thanks, too, for the return of items in blackberry and for sticking by us navy lovers.

I am wondering if you would ever consider doing larger, but classic, earrings–any chance to get the green patina in large hoops or something? And the shiny black too? Will take any jewelry items in those colors actually, happily. I know the green speaks differently to everyone–to me it’s beachy.

Looking forward to 10pm and sending love and woofs to Jac and the girls at home from my crew. By the way, you look great in navy!

  36. Ginny

Hi Louis, I received the green patina necklace today. I love it even more in person. It’s such a great finish and looks good with so many different colors. It is going to get many many wears! Thank you for your persistence to bring this color for us!

    Ginny

    1. Susan (aka Carlytwila)

My green patina pieces arrived today too! LOVE!

  37. Carol

Fabulous show today. I couldn’t help myself. I got two reefer coats , the alabaster leather jacket and a lot of alabaster pieces to go with that and about three new Ponte pants. Your styling is great and I save your shows on my DVR so I can watch them again and put the jewelry together like you do. Still waiting for my green patina jewelry that seems to be stuck at the UPS center in Hodgkins Illinois as usual. You’re an outstanding designer and I never miss your shows. I hope the BlackBerry pants arrive soon as I have many items to go with them. Are these in your November show?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The Blackberry pants are for Nov.

  38. Kathy/Wis

    Good morning Louis
My GP pieces arrived today. Wow I knew they would be special but they are even more stunning then I had imagined. I can not wait to wear them and wait to see what the comments are. They look something you would buy in a museum store.
Thanks for all you do for us! Waiting for the show today.v7hf

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathy….I’ve been waiting to hear how you all like the new Green Patina pieces. I am so happy you love them. Please let everyone know you have received them and your thoughts. I’m sure they would like to know.

      1. Kathy/Wis

        Glowing comments already posted!

      2. Jan

Any chance more of the fish necklace will be available?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

The next fish to swim up stream will be the Copper Ox and shiny silver

          1. Jan

Thank you. Hope the green patina might return as well. Fingers crossed.

          2. Debra Kurtz

When? I would love to have the copper with my BlackBerry and port!

            H
            Thank you

  39. Chris/Jazzmom

    Louis,

Are the wire cuff and the floral station necklace/earring set going to be available this month? Also are the super ponte pants in Regular & Petite inseams in blackberry color coming this month (Oct.)?

Thanks. The Q is showing unavailable at this time for these items mentioned.

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris….yes the wire cuff and floral set are going to be avail this month. The Blackberry pant is Nov.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

Thank you. Just did some editing.

  40. Laura

    Louis:

THANK YOU for bringing American women your beautiful creations at affordable prices. I love your fashions and live in them daily. Where are your Whisper Knit skirts this year???? My favorite “go-to” outfits in the fall/winter are your Whisper Knit skirts and turtlenecks. Miss them!

    Thank you,
    Laura

    1. Jen

Louis I woke up early today to watch your show this morning (on my birthday). There isn’t anyone else on the Q I would do that for. I hope you know how much we love your clothing and jewelry. I was flipping out over the new jewelry to come. My closet now is Linea, Linea, Linea. We love you!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jen….I’m reading the posts in between shows! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

        1. Jen

Thank you so much. I ordered the reefer coat in black. I couldn’t resist it. So beautiful.

  41. Debra

PS Louis, for the layering under the reefer, my only layering item is your WK sweaters in all of its many iterations. Thanks!

  42. Debra

    Dear All,

When choosing a coat, ie. the reefer coat, is there a rule of thumb for sizing? For example, do you add 5 inches to the chest measurement to get the specific measurement to look for in choosing a size?
I am not sure if I am supposed to size up one size above my average jacket size so that it will fit over the Linea turtleneck sweaters?
Does anyone have any advice? I have not purchased any of Louis’ coats before and don’t know how to gauge between an 8 or a 10? I am wearing a size S in the ENR sweaters.

many thanks in advice for your help so that I don’t miss out,

    Debra

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debra…..you really can’t determine what size coat you would need by the size of a WK sweater. I would say you should take the size you would normally wear……unless you really plan to wear bulky clothes under it. When we fit a fall/ winter coat or jacket we fit them TH or an equivelant thickness sweater so we already compensate for a sweater. Our size SM fit model is a small in everything. She doesn’t have to size up to a med. because it’s a coat or jacket…..that sample d everyone’s body shape is different. And that has to be taken into consideration. You should always check the should and bust measurements for a more accurate size. Women with big hips depend more on style then size. They can be small on top and large on the bottom so it’ really does become more about the shape of the garment.

      1. Debra

Thank you Louis for your help. I am not a pear shape anymore and don’t really have clothing that is too bulky, just want to layer the ENR. I am a true size 8. So, you feel that I should get an 8 as sizing is already built in? I hate to order two and pay all the costs so that I don’t miss out. Also, I fully expect these will be sell out items, as ever.
By the way, does this fabric have any “stretch” to it to accommodate?

thanks so much for your guidance!
        Debra

        1. Kate

Debra–if I may? I am a small in all things Linea that are not knits. I have the trench coat and the coat from last year, both in size 8. I am 5’7″, 34D bra, 38 hips and the fit is perfection. Fitted but with some ease. the measurement you want to pay attention to is across the back as that’s where you will want some ease to move your arms! I had ordered a 10 and I swam in it! I hope this helps.

  43. Lee from Minnesota

Hello fellow LLs! FYI the reefer coat and the new sweater are available now for ordering on the Q. I can finally quit stalking. Item numbers are: A297861 and A298054. (I think they have the colors for the cashew and lilac flipped around on the sweater so I ordered by name disregarding the photo.)

    1. Connie

Thank you, Lee. I don’t have to wake up at 3 am thanks to you! Louis is hurting our West Coast sleep!

    2. Connie

I accidentally found the new leather jacket posted. It is A 297864

  44. Teri

Louis, I have to have your new blouse A298459. When is it scheduled to be on air? I will be driving from Washington state to Arizona this weekend but will stop for WiFi to order. I am retired and this blouse fits my lifestyle. Love all your clothes. Thank you.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It will be on Friday’s 4pm show

  45. Rochelle

    Hello Louis,

A quick question regarding the correct Fawn. Way back in 2011, I’d purchased my first Linea pants, A217972. These fly front slim leg pants (straight leg pant was available also) were offered in black, olive and FAWN. Are the new Fawn items the same color or just the same name? Obviously it’s been quite awhile so how do the more current colors of Desert Sand in gauze crepe pieces, ie A293748,asymmetrical cardi or A287617 gauze crepe stand collar tunic in Linen compare with the new Fawn, please?

Also wanted to share with Jac my extreme comfort with a casual shoe made by Oofos. (dot com) I have cronic back issues from an old injury. I found these at last year’s FFANY sale and has been a game changer in my comfort and daily living. Honestly,it’s been remarkable and cannot stress enought what a difference I’ve experienced wearing these. Great support, less pain and I keep a pair with me at all times. There are thongs,a slide, clogs ( I have a gunmetal pair!) and recent introduction of some closed style shoes. Please check for local availability on the site and consider a pair. My day and back are brighter with these on my feet.

Looking forward to the shows. Do take care and e-hugs to both of you.

    Warm regards…

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Rochelle….I no longer have the pant you inquired about so I can’t answer that for you….Even though the other colors you mentioned are all in the same light “beige family they are all different………..I will pass along the info to Jac….thanks

  46. Debby

Does anyone know if the Trapeze necklace was at a lower price 3 weeks ago QVC with their great customer service will honor it and I’d love another. Looking forward to tomorrow show!

  47. Mimi

Hi Louis. LIsa Rinna was wearing your Ribbon Necklace (J331643) while presenting her item #A294466. I have mentioned that she should have stated whose necklace it was but… I go back and forth, trying to figure out if it is the Gold Color or Gunmetal? On her skin it looks a little rose golden but on her top it looks more Gunmetal. I would like to buy that color. Thanks. Regards and hugs to Jac.

    1. louis dell'olio

Didn’t see it and can’t find it….it was probably the gunmetal……the gold is antique and has a brass look

      1. Mimi

        Thanks

        1. Goldie76

As I’ve written before, Lisa Rinna REALLY fancies the Linea metal pieces. She decorates her models liberally with Linea pieces.

      2. Donna Aflague

Louis, If you look at the video for A284043, you will see Lisa Rinna wearing the ribbon necklace. It is the gunmetal I believe. I have seen her wear the necklace at other times. She has good taste!
        Donna from California

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, it’s the gunmetal, and it looks GOOD!

  48. vickybliss

Louis we are all excited and waiting for our fish to swim up to our doors. The ladies on the blog encouraged me to share this:

‘Twas the night before delivery, when all thro’ the house
    Not a lady was stirring, not even a spouse;
The sweaters and blouses were all hung with care,
    In hopes that UPS man soon would be there;
The linea ladies were snug in their beds,
While visions of fish and beads danced in their heads

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Vickybliss…..I have such talented LL! I hope everyone is pleased with the GP. All must try them on with the clothes. Then’s when they look their best.

  49. Wanda

Will QVC be getting any more of your boot length knit skirts in black, medium? Love it, only wait list of available. Love your clothes, too! Thanks

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Wanda….they should, but unfortunately not this season.

  50. Elaine

    Hi Louis,
Some exciting news, in February 2018 F.I.T. will have an exhibit “Norman Norell:Dean of American Fashion”!
    Looking forward to it.
Hi to Jac. See you soon, Elaine

    1. louis dell'olio

That’s exciting….He was such a lovely man. His hand made sequin “Mermaid” dress were amazing.

  51. Carol

    Dear, dear Louis,

I am 100% getting that fawn reefer coat, but also want the Port. I have the trench in the same fabric in burgundy which looks lighter than port. Are they enough different that my husband won’t accuse me of buying the same coat twice? LOL

    crdlb

    1. Carol

Also, I would like the trench or reefer coat in the smoke color of the new super ponte pants if they are reordered. 🙂

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Carol, besides the fact that the coats are totally different….yes, the Port is much darker then the wine.

  52. Ginny

Hi Louis, I purchased the adobe pleated skirt and wear it with the sienna top as well as the Alabaster floral blouse and it looks great.
Now that it is cooler would you please suggest a color of tights that I could wear with it?

    Thanks, Ginny

PS. I just returned from 3 weeks in Spain and Portugal and with the exception of three items my entire suitcase was Linea! Everything packs so beautifully and I received many compliments.

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Ginny….it depends on what shoes you have. I would suggest Dk. Brown or wine would work well.

      1. Ginny

Louis, thank you for the quick reply. Hopefully you will be bringing in wine tights.

        1. louis dell'olio

No….there won’t be any this season.

  53. JBCinSD

    Hi, Louis,
Were your trouser socks reordered? If so, when might they arrive?

    1. louis dell'olio

Yes….they were…..in 3 new colors….I think end Nov or begin of Dec….in time for Holiday presents.

  54. diane

Louis-Looking forward to your shows.Already bought the green patina pieces.
A question as to the fawn reefer coat-will it coordinate with the light khaki ponte
pants from a few years ago? Thanks and a sincere wish for Jaq to feel better-we miss
    her on your shows!

  55. Goldie76

    WHO KNEW?

Louis, yesterday I received your “Bead Drop Necklace and Earrings Set” (J321804) in Blue. As I explained in my review, thinking the necklace was simply “a lot of something” with a potential to overpower me, and buying the set for the color and the earrings primarily, I was stunned to find out that the necklace had an attribute not recognized by me until seeing it in person. It is so exotic. Really, you feel as though you are wearing a fantastic treasure from a bygone empire. Here is my 5-star review:

” Yesterday I received this necklace in the Blue. That particular shade is what finally persuaded me to buy this necklace, not to mention the coordinating earrings, which were my primary desire. Deep down, I suspected this necklace would be nothing more than an overdone piece suitable for someone who did not mind having an exaggerated necklace around her neck. Was I ever wrong! This necklace is exotic-looking, a vibe that I did not pick up on by seeing it online or on the models. It’s a truly stunning neck adornment that has been underrated, in my opinion. As for the color Blue, it is all I hoped it to be, and those earrings will go so well with my Linea floral crinkle cut shirt and tank. What a find! Really, if you are one the ladies who love to emit a whiff of the exotic, this one is for you. I am only 5′ 2″ at this time in my life, but the necklace does not overpower me (perhaps because of my coloring of light-skinned brunette – ‘brunettish’). “

  56. vickybliss

Is there a difference in the body of swing midi dress (A297859) in the petite and (A297856) in regular? What is skirt length difference? The wk pants was three inches(28″ and 31″inseam). Looking forward to the show.

    1. louis dell'olio

I honestly don’t know…The petites fittings are done at QVC

      1. vickybliss

Thank for taking time to answer my question. I’m wondering what Jac would look like in the petite. It probably would look like a very different dress. Hopefully you can show a regular and a petite next to each other. I think some women would buy both: different lengths for different occasions. Again thank you for your graciousness.

        1. Seka

vickybliss – it might be of some help to check the measurements for the previous Midi Dress that came in Reular and Petite sizes – A294606 and A294711 – it would at least give you the difference in lengths.

          1. louis dell'olio

I would say the lengths should be similar, but due to the different fabrics,,,,they have different shapes. The WK dress measurements should be smaller due to the stretch. What ever you buy do NOT size up.

        2. louis dell'olio

Dear vickybliss….Jac has bought some dresses in the petite size. What comes to mind is an Eileen Fisher linen dress that she found too long in the reg.

  57. name

Louis, please, when you are showing the beautiful lilac veiled blouse that Jac is modeling on her Facebook page, please describe to us the color, as to whether it has red or blue undertones. I love that blouse. So elegant.

    1. louis dell'olio

      It definitely has red undertones

  58. Mimi

Hi Louis. Anxiously awaiting your shows. Just read that Jac won’t be there. So sorry she’s not feeling well and I hope it’s just her back (as if that’s not bad enough). As I have said before, she will be sorely missed and the shows are never the same without her. She’s the consummate model except for her warmth. I feel so bad for both of you. What effects one effects the other. Take care. BOTH OF YOU,

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Mimi….I will tell Jac what you said.It is her back. There is no way she can make these trips of 6 hours of driving and there is no possibility of her modeling. The fast pace of getting in and out of clothes and standing for more then an hour is too much on her. She is much better off watching from the comfort of our home with the babies around her. I think she likes it!

      1. Mimi

I understand about Jac’s back that’s why I say, day by day and wish she could feel better. My husband has had two back surgeries and I am trying to avoid one. So, Jac should enjoy her time with the girls in the comfort of your home. It is well deserved. She’s worked hard enough, as you have. Don’t push yourself and please take care of yourself. Your health is more important than your Linea line. YOU COME FIRST! As I have mentioned in the past, I worked in the Garment Industry (at the same time as you did) and it was a great exciting time but at the same time, it was crazy and extremely hectic. So, you have paid your dues several times over. I hope you get enough enjoyment out of being on QVC because as you said, between the traveling, the hustle and bustle and the rigorous schedule I’m sure it is extremely draining. Your ladies appreciate you, always know that but your health is more important and that always comes first.

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear Mimi…..you understand all too well……thank you.

        2. diane

Mimi-beautifully put. Hope for good health for you and your husband.

          1. Grace

I agree. Lovely, heartfelt words and the best advice of all, Mimi. We should all heed it at this stage of life. Wishing the best of health to you and your husband, as well.

And, bravo to Jac for taking care of herself–health is #1. Hope she is finding relief and comfort.

  59. Sylvia Pickich

Linea Ladies!!!! The green patina fish pendant and Etruscan set are posted!!!

    1. maryinCT

These jewelry pieces were on sale in the past 30 days. QVC customer service just honored the sale price for me for the Etruscan set ($53.04) and offered me 2 easy pays as well!! It pays to keep track of sale/offers for future reference. Yeah for us!!

      1. diane

Thanks! I got the sale price and EZ pays also!

    2. Kathy/Wis

Thank You I have been watching the sight all day. Just ordered

    3. Kathy/Wis

Thanks! Just ordered and they gave me the sale price too.

      1. Yvette

Yes, me too. Thanks so much to everyone for the heads up!

    4. gapeach57

I just logged on to see if anything had shown up on QVC, and fortunately read the blog first. I’ve been checking every day to see if they were posted, so I quickly grabbed up both the fish and Etruscan set before they “swam away.” Thanks for letting us know.

  60. Donna Aflague

    Hi Louis,
Thanks for all the sneak peeks. I’m super excited about what is coming. What date will the Reefer coat be making it’s appearance? I don’t want to miss it. Would you say we should order the same size as the coat with the hammered buttons from last winter?

    Donna from California

    1. louis dell'olio

Yes to the size, and it will be on the 4pm show on Friday, 10/20

      1. Pamela

Hi Louis.Writing my list for ordering this week and I have 2 questions. Apologies if redundant but, the petite ponte pants to come…did you say there would be an alabaster? Also, the fawn Reefer coat, will it work with the dark sand crepe pull on pants..there were also blk and ivy.Bought that pair with tank and asymmetrical duster for mother and thinking she would slay in the reefer coatThanks so much! You rock!

        1. louis dell'olio

Dear Pamela…..I really don’t see the gauze pant with the Reefer coat…..The new petite Boot Cut Super Ponte pant will be avail in Feb….in Alabaster, Black and Dark Olive.

          1. Pamela

So helpful,THANKS! Will reconsider tan pants then, or a whole new look in port… along with the other 10ish items on list. LMSL …Love Me Some Linea! Lol

  61. margie tillotson

Can you give any info on the duster you briefly touch on a little while ago ??????

    1. louis dell'olio

      don’t remember what I said.

  62. Chrystene

    Hi Louis –

I really love my port tunic and pants. Will the new wine leather jacket work with the port color?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chrystene…..they don’t match like the wine Ponte pants, but I think they look good with the wine leather. The Port is darker so it becomes more neutral

  63. Susan

OMG – Just figured out you brought the Whisper Knit pants back – I feel like I have died and gone to Heaven!!!! I lost weight and needed a smaller size and asked last year and you didn’t think you were going to bring them back so I ordered the Ponte Knit like you suggested and I love them too, but you have no idea how excited I am to get my Whisper Knit pants back again!!!! All I can say Luis, is Thank you Thank you Thank you! I wear all of your clothes and you help me look very professional in the workplace and maintain my fashionable reputation – I always give you the credit – thank you for what you do!!!!

  64. Melissa

    Louis,

I ordered several of your items this summer and early fall. A standout basic favorite for me was the WK swing tank. Would love that in more colors. I bought the green WK swing sweater even though I have so many of them and don’t get to wear them as much as I’d like here in FL. Gorgeous color. Love the new port sweater too. These are just a few of the items I knew I had to have when I saw them.

What I really wanted to tell to was I was pleasantly surprised by some items I didn’t think I’d buy. First was the alabaster glass bead necklace. Love!!!! I wore it for the first time yesterday over the dark brown (chocolate? espresso?) tank with chiffon bottom (it’s still hot here). I also decided after reading some reviews, that I wanted the alabaster and blackberry print blouses. Since I don’t have a lot of need for some of your warmer winter items, I thought I needed both blouses as I can wear them year round here. But by the time I ordered it, I could only get the alabaster. Went on WL for the blackberry. I received and wore the alabaster Monday. Gorgeous!!! I’ve told you my work is business casual. Wore it with jeans and some nude Marc Fisher sandals and felt so pretty, yet comfy. I’m so glad I ordered it. But was bummed I missed out on the blackberry.

Today I got the mail and saw a bag from QVC. I didn’t know what it was. Wasn’t expecting anything and didn’t get a shipping notice. I opened it and lo and behold it was the blackberry floral blouse! I was thrilled! Such a beautiful unique blouse. Can’t wait to wear it. Thanks for all your wonderful designs!!

  65. Grace

    Dear Louis,

Any chance we’ll be seeing those single bar earrings that match the y-bar and station bar necklaces?

    1. louis dell'olio

Dear Grace….I keep presenting them to the buyers but so far they aren’t interested. That is one of the reasons I now sell more sets. It’s a way to get the earrings sold. They rarely buy a single earring?????

      1. Goldie76

        Louis,

I think the buyers are making a mistake when it comes to the single-bar earring that Grace desires. From what I can see, long and slim earrings are having their day in the sun once again. We all know, too, that this earring shape slims the face and gives a certain look that is attractive on most. Your “Wind Chime” necklace of old had longish earrings that we bought separately; there was one bar that was about three inches long. Very striking on.

It seems to me there would be a market for them, especially this year.

        1. louis dell'olio

          Goldie…..I couldn’t agree more

          1. Goldie76

Another thing regarding earrings — I honestly think that this is now a time of “anything goes.” About six weeks ago, I bought a pair of vintage Anne Klein clip-on doorknocker earrings in YOUR matte gold look; I knew in my heart of hearts that they were your design. They are large — but not too large for me to handle — and I thought, the heck with it, I’m wearing these no matter what the fashion is. Then my “Vogue” and “Harper’s Bazaar” arrived, and I noticed many large earrings worn. The latest issue of “Town & Country” has Jane Fonda on the cover, and it is my belief that she looks as though she has been styled by you. In fact, I posted as much on the QVC Forum. Her earrings are large and bold, the way you used to present models on the runway back in the day and often do now on QVC.

Actually, I think the earrings are in your Russian Gold color, which is matte-looking.

I so agree with you both! I would buy at least 3 pairs of Bar Earrings (Black, Silver, Gold) for me, and likely more for gifts, too. The buyers need to understand that your clients would most likely all buy multiples. I guarantee Bar earrings would be a sell-out!

I too was wishing we could have the single bar earring. Maybe you could do a set of three different earrings and being the single bar. Thanks for trying.

I’m compelled to jump in on the SINGLE BAR EARRINGS discussion. If I remember correctly, they looked like they had a post with the single bar dangling beautifully providing the wonderful linear look.

I like to have my piercings covered, and I’m never completely happy with the earrings I choose to wear with my bar station necklaces…I hold hope for the matching earrings (especially in the shiny black and gunmetal).

Louis, thank you for advocating for us–you know what your LL’s like so well. That earring is elegant & unique and perfectly completes the “bar” suite of jewelry. I sure wish the buyers would see that and make an exception to their “no single earring” rule, just this one time! I think it would be a sell out in every color. I know I’d buy at least one of each.
