    Louis,

At this moment, I’m wearing your animal print top, in natural, and your black pebble crepe skirt. As usual, I have received compliments on the outfit. Have you ever thought of making an unstructured jacket to go with your pebble crepe skirts? I realize that your pebble crepes are intended for hot weather, during which we typically do not want a jacket, but with chilling air conditioning, I long to have pebble crepe jackets. Sleeves that are 3/4 and can be pushed up for style would be good on my imagined jackets. No lining, either. Any thoughts on this?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I have done a pebble crepe shirt/jacket in aquamarine, tan and white, with a stand color, but an unstructured blazer type unlined jacket would look great too.

      1. Maria (Goldie 76)

Is the stand collar crepe shirt/jacket still available? I own the sand pebble crepe and wonder if that would match your tan shirt/jacket. I liked the way your described my pebble crepe dream jacket — unstructured and blazer type, unlined.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Hi Maria,
Yes, it is still avail, but in limited sizes in the three colors. The style number is A215172.

    Hi Louis,

Will the long sleeve v-neck sweater in the whisper knit come in any new colors or will it only be a reorder of the black, aubergine, mallard, and olive? I love that sweater!

    Have a great Memorial Day!

    Thank you,

    Carol

      1. Carol in FL

Thanks, Louis. I ordered two of each color last year and will probably order another black. Going forward, please consider more v-neck tops in the whisper knit. Again, thank you for all you do.

        Carol

  3. Nanc

Louis, Thank your for every thing, I have a couple questions, would I be able to hem the 4-Tier Crinkle Boho Skirt? I purchased item #A-224718 tiered Boho Skirt with Pleat Detail and A-215166 Pull-on Two Tier Skirt. The length works well with those 2 skirts. I purchased the 4-Tier Crinkle Boho Skirt, everything was perfect except the length. I love the color choices and fit, if hemming would not work do you think this skirt will ever be offered in petites?

My other question I have, will new colors be offered for the Short Sleeve Sweater w/Rib Knit Trim, mock Neck Short Sleeve Sweater and Short Sleeve Ribbed Shell? If so, when will they be available?

    Thanks again,
    Nanc

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Nanc,
ABSOLUTELY! you can shorten the Boho skirt to the length of the A224718. Instead of having a full tier, you will have three tiers and a ruffle. I looked at the Boho and pinned it up…it looks really cute that way and you would have a one of a kind skirt. You can also remove one whole tier altogether depending on the look you are after and of course your height. Tiered skirts come in many incarnations…..4 tiers, 3 tiers, 1 tier and uneven tiers. My floral prairie skirt is just another variation. There is no one way. Next season I may do one exactly how you are asking! I don’t know why the skirt hasn’t been offered in petites since we have sold well over 25,000 of them.
I am sure which sweaters you are referring to between the two short sleeve with rib knit trim and the short sleeve sweater ribbed shell? The mock neck is coming back in mallard, olive, aubergine, black and the new persimmon.

      1. Nanc

        Dear Louis,
Thank you so much, good news about the boho and the new color persimmon. Yes, the short sleeve ribbed shell will there be a new color in the shell? They are the perfect tops for layering under a jacket.
        Nancy

      2. Hi, Louis! I have a closet full of bohos but would also LOVE the variation of three tiers and a ruffle! As long as it covers my knees, which I do not like :-).

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes there are two new colors in the shell……pale olive and peacock.

      1. Nanc

        Thank you Louis,
I am looking forward to the new colors, the tops are a staple in my wardrobe.
        Happy Memorial Day!
        Nancy

  4. JazzDiva

    Dear Louis,

I am glad I read this post. A couple of days ago I looked at my curb link necklace and was very upset to find that the gold plating is wearing off in some areas in the back as well. Not what I expected for the price I paid. Should I send my necklace to your manufacturer as well?

Sorry for the multiple post – I didn’t think my other message had posted..

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Yes,
Send it with a letter why you are sending it to them so they know what to do.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

P.S. I have also been told by my manufacturer that I should advise anyone who owns gold plated pieces inn general, that they should not have the jewelry come in contact with perfume on the skin and that it is advisable to wipe the jewelry of any body oils after wearing. Also, once in a while the pieces should be washed with a mild soap and warm water.

        1. I have used Quick ‘n Brite for years on many “unusual” things, including jewelry and my leather horse tack. It is an enzyme product that eats up the gunk and hasn’t affected anything I have washed it with at all. I always take a small container of it when traveling. It is very concentrated and goes a long way.

  5. Chris/Jazzmom

Could you tell us what color shade of yellow is the yellow in item A201016 that looks like it has been reordered? Is it a marigold yellow or a lemon yellow? Thank you and enjoy the holiday weekend.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I would say it’s more of a lemon yellow than marigold. I do not consider it a bright yellow but it’s not butter either. Marigold , to me, is a strong deep yellow. I will be having a sneak peek closer to the show.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

        Thank you. 🙂

  6. Mary

    Dear Louis,

I’m so upset. I have the J159965 curb link necklace, and today noticed that at the back of the neck, the plating is wearing off. I love this necklace, and if I return it, I’ll never have another because they’re sold out. This was an expensive purchase for me. I’ve only had it since January, and have worn it less than 20 times. Do you have any advice? I thought you should know so that you can notify the manufacturer. I have less expensive costume necklaces and have never had this problem.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary, I am just as upset as you hearing this news. I never want to hear that someone is not happy with the quality. I will forward your message to me right to the manufacturer. Let’s see what they advise……Louis

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

        Dear Mary,
My manufacturer has already answered me. They would like you to send your necklace to the following address with a letter stating the problem and that you were told to mail it to them to be fixed:

        Customer Service Center
        400 Broad Street
        Central Falls, R.I. 02863
I hope this takes care of your problem……regards, Louis

        1. Mary

          Dear Louis,

How kind of you to take care of this so quickly. Thank you so much for your help. I’ll send it tomorrow (and miss it while it’s gone).

          Mary

        2. JazzDiva

          Dear Louis,

I am glad I read this post. A couple of days ago I looked at my curb link necklace and was very upset to find that the gold plating is wearing off in some areas in the back as well. Not what I expected for the price I paid. Should I send my necklace to your manufacturer as well?

  7. Debbie

Louis, is there any chance that you will remake your fish necklace that you used in some of you earlier sneak peeks? I would love to own it.
    Thanks,
    Debbie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I am going to present it at my next jewelry meeting. I will say it is a very complicated piece with lots of separate parts, so I am not sure if they will go for it….it’s a costly piece to make….that is why it was part of the Anne Klein Couture Collection.

      1. Jane

        Hi Louis,

I know that many of the Linea Ladies would jump at the chance to buy your fish necklace even at a higher price because of the more difficult fabrication. The QVC buyers should know that this would be an immediate Sell Out! Let’s hope they will recognize what a prize they would have with this one!

        Many thanks,
        Jane

        1. blinddogs

Put those ‘fish’ pieces on my plate and I will gobble them up! I have a pair of dangle earrings with little fishies that I bought many years ago at a boutique in the Caribbean. They were more ‘fun’ earrings than the more refined fish of your pieces. Fishies all grown up! LOL

      2. Susana (Suzzeee)

I’d love that fish necklace too — I found some earrings on Ebay and converted them to pierced but I’ve not found the gold necklace in any of it’s versions yet! I’d pay the higher price for it for sure!!!

  8. Gale

    Oh Louis,
Summer’s not here yet and A222262 is sold out. We need more of these wonderful dresses soon. Please hurry and let us know when to expect it.
    Please, Please!
    Thanks so much

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Gale,
I was told they would be at the QVC warehouses in July. The entire process had to be started from scratch….with ordering the fabric, which had to be knitted, then printed, then sent to the factory to be cut and sewn. If you really want the dress, I hope you are on wait list, because those on wait list will be shipped first and if there are any left they will go into inventory.

      1. Gale

Oh Louis, I was on waitlist and canceled the waitlist order because it wouldn’t get here in time for a trip……..now I realize how dumb that was because I want it……. trip or not. I will keep putting the item # in the QVC search everyday until I see there are some in stock.
Thank you dear, talented man for your quick reply. I adore your styles. I’m an XL or L and fondly remember the places I ate in Paris too. hahahaha
        See you on June 24th!

    2. Gogi Lieberman

      Dear Louis,

I’m so disappointed that I missed getting A224712. I’d love all 3 colors. Please tell me it will be back again this season.

      Gogi Gogi39

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

        Dear Gogi,
I hate to disappoint you but, I have not heard of any reorders placed for this dress this year. By the time the fabric was knit, printed shipped to the factory, cut, sewn and shipped the season would be over. The factories are 100% into fall production now and there is no chance that this dress will be remade for this season. Your best but slim hope is to go on wait list and maybe a return will show up.

        1. Gogi Lieberman

Thank you for reponding to my request. Went on Ebay just to check and FYI, someone was offering the dress for $149. Amazing, n’est pas? The best to you and Jaq on your home remodel.

          Gogi

  9. Betty V.

I recently purchased your Linea Safari style shirt jacket in navy large. I absolutely love it, it feels just like silk!! However I am so short that it is too long for me, both above and below the belt. QVC is out of size medium with no promise that it will return. Is this line available anywhere else? Did you ever offer it in petite?

If there is anyone else out there who has a size medium, I would love to trade!!

    Betty V.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Betty,
Sorry the jacket didn’t work for you. Qvc is the only place I sell to.

      1. Betty V.

Thanks for the quick response. Do you plan to offer this item again A213216?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

No, unfortunately this did not qualify to be a reorder. I’m afraid it’s a one shot deal.

          1. Betty V.

Thanks for the info. I will take mine to the tailor and see what can be done. I just love it and do not want to part with it!!

  10. Carol

    Dear Louis:

Since you’re now working on the Spring collection, can we please put in a request for a pencil skirt in the great denim that you brought to us this Spring? Also, we want more pebble crepe crops, and I would love a pebble crepe tank to wear with the shirt/jacket in pebble crepe, as well as other pieces, and some NAVY pebble crepe pants/crops.

    Please?

    crdlb

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I made a list….PC crops, tank and more, and a denim pencil skirt.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

Please add navy, espresso brown, ivory and dove gray or charcoal gray pants in the crepe material in petite and regular sizing (Similar or exactly like A221798 or A221851) that matches the blazers in the nautical colors (red, ivory and blue)to your ever expanding list. Thank you.

      2. Susan (aka Carlytwila)

I agree with all that Carol has said above. In addition, I really want to make an appeal for long pants in the pebble crepe. I have them in white, aquamarine, lt tan and purple and I love them. But I’m sorely lacking in the basic colors – black, navy, espresso. I love the crop version as well, but in these I would only need navy.

  11. Pat

After a long wait I finally ordered a boho skirt and shirt jacket in olive. The shirt was olive but the skirt looks mocha. I have been very ill and my current size is xxs. The items have room but fit. QVC clothes are too large. Do the colors run this way? Is so, Please reply with some items that I can eventually order that would coordinate with my first 2 pieces. Thanks in advance Pat

  12. Birdie

    Dear Louis,

Will your lace cardigan (A221793) be reordered in black for next spring?
Looking forward to your June sneak peeks.

    Birdie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

To early to tell if it will be reordered at all. All depends on the amount of returns.

  13. Emma Pryor

When are you coming back on QVC. We miss you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Thank you Emma,
My next shows are June 24th at 4am and 6am….very early shows! Then July 31st at 4am and 4pm, then Aug.8th from 4pm to 6pm [a two hour show].

  14. Anonymous

    Hi Louis:

Today I wore your new drapped jersey “Lana” dress (A224716)in the purple with your notch collar blazer w/French cuffs in the yellow (A78354). That outfit was a big hit with the “Sunday Crowd”. My question is whether you can produce this style in other fabrics for the fall or holiday? The dress makes me look like I have an hour glass figure!

    Best,

    Soldout

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Soldout, The fall line is completed and already into production. I am now working on Spring 2013, but I’ll try a new version…..no promises.

  15. Carmille

Salutations Louis! I know you have the love knot necklace and the little crosses necklace coming – July? perhaps. Can you tell me if either will be offered in silvertone? I cannot tell you how excited I am to get these little gems. I have been eyeing them ever since I spotted them on the models some time ago. They are both real beauties and will be such a nice addition to my Linea jewelry collection! Also, I just cannot express my appreciation enough for the beautiful collection of clothes you have shown this spring and summer. Amazing pieces and so unique!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Camrille,
Both the multi cross and the love knot necklaces will be offered in gold and silver. The love knot will also come in two lengths…..the longer length that I have been showing and a shorter length.

      1. Carmille

Fantastic! I am so looking forward to purchasing these – in both colors! Thank you Louis! Much obliged! Can’t wait for your next shows! All the best!

  16. Kristen/spagal

Louis, one more comment about the maxi–all good! I got a chance to wear the brown/pink out to dinner and drinks last night and actually had someone who was eating outside at a restaurant we were passing on our walk stop me to compliment me on my beautiful dress! I’d have given her the item # to order if QVC had any left in stock. Maxis are everywhere here in Derby town–yours makes me stand out in style. It sure made my evening…so wanted to share with you as well.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kristen…..it’s always nice to hear stories like this. I’m glad you were complimented…..but I’m sure it was more you than the dress!

  17. Anonymous

    Dear Louis,
Last year you had brought some wonderful bold, gold chain style necklaces and bold pearl necklaces and maybe a matching bracelet to QVC, but when I finally remembered to go online to buy them they were sold out, any chance you are ever going to bring more accessories like these back to QVC? Your pieces were really special; they were real quality looking pieces that finish off the look of your clothes so nicely.
P.S.It’s nice to find you again as I was a big fan of your beautiful clothes when you were with AK.
    Love to you!
    Ava

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Ava,
I long 72 inch pearl necklaces in the solid colors have been reordered plus some new colors. The chain necklaces, however have not been reordered. I so have new things coming each month, starting in July plus all of the Byzantine necklaces, cross and earrings are either avail right now or will be soon…..I am so glad you like the jewelry I am doing for QVC……regards, Louis

  18. voodoo

Hi Louis i also wanted the cross necklace and glad to see it is coming back. will the multi gemstone 48″ also come back J264037?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I know the cross is definitely coming in June sometime~~~~~ The multi station I believe may be reordered soon, but I’m not positive…..

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

It is on waitlist now and I am anxiously awaiting the order to be fulfilled. I already have one in that length and want a 2nd to double around my neck.

  19. nikki

    Hello Louis,
I just rec’d my caftan dress in black and blue, love it. It makes me feel very chic. I can see my self wearing this casually and dressed up. I cansee this working in the hot.. hot days of summer. Thanks for all you do. I truely enjoy your clothes. I am in the process of writing areview on qvc

  20. Beano

Hi Louis: I’ll be in Paris in June with a suitcase filled with Linea goodies. Can you post the Allard address?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi, the address is: 41 Rue Saint Andrea des Arts. You can google it. It’s off of St. Germaine. Now don’t expect anything pretty, but we loved the small old room and we loved the food.

      1. Beano

Great. My hotel the St. Pere is off of the Rue St. Germaine. Thanks for the info.

        1. Anonymous

Beano, I lived in Paris for over three years—Allard is down at the Odeon end of Blvd St Germaine, near Place St. Michel. Get off the Metro or the bus at the Odeon stop and walk toward the Seine….you’ll find it. I’ll be in Paris in July and I plan on dining there as well.

  21. Terri

Good morning Louis! I have a question regarding the tweed tank and the new raglan sleeve tops offered recently. I have both, and there have been many comments regarding the difference in feel and texture of these two items as well as the sheerness of the fabric, with the raglan top coming across as more sheer to many of the buyers. Are they the same fabric and are they knit in the same process? I do not have a problem with either of them as far as sheerness is concerned. No “see through” effect for me, even in the navy in our bright Texas sunshine. I think many of the buyers would like some more feedback on these two items. Thanks so much! For myself, these tops will be nice and cool for our hot summers here down south. Terri

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Terri,
I was told they are the same yarn except the tank has the added fleck yarn. They are both 100% polyester and come from the same yarn supplier. I don’t see any reason why the yarn supplier should say they were the same if they are not. I did read some comments about seeing my gold form through the sweater…..that can happen from the flash. There are many garments you can hold up to the light that look sheer but when they are on the body they aren’t sheer at all. I don’t find them sheer and when I saw them on the models they certainly didn’t look sheer and the amount of light focused on the models is not normal light……………I hope this answers your question. I also read somewhere that someone was wondering if the clothes are altered in any way to fit the models…..I can assure you they are NOT. They are the exact same clothes that are shipped to you. The only time something is pinned in is….is a pant is in a bigger size than the model….they will sometimes pin the waist a little so the pants don’t fall down, but that is very rare and usually only happens when we are selling an older item and the model size is not avail. Trust me….there is no time before a show to do alterations and that would be totally misleading………Louis

      1. Terri

        Thank you Louis!

        Terri (TexasMom1)

  22. JoAnn

    Hi Louis:

I just wanted to let you know that I got the maxi dress in the brown and it is absolutely to die for. I have been looking for a nice maxi dress but most of them are too long and downright ugly. I live in NYC and far and away, this is the most beautiful dress I have seen this season to date. Hope the Q reorders — I want the other colors!

    JoAnn

  23. Sandi

Dear Louis, Thank you ever so much for trying to get me the pieces I need for my beautiful jacket. It is my favorite. Hope you understand what I need for the closure. Actually I need the plates that are on the buttonhole side. The closure itself is intact but I am more than delighted to buy the whole thing in order to get what I want and will probably even buy an extra. Again, thank you so very much. You remain my favorite designer

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Sandi, the piece you requested is in. My manufacturer has it and wants to know to who and where to mail it. Please get back to me before it gets LOST!

  24. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

Just received your lace jacket in green (A223652) and I adore it – will be wearing it in a casual chic way. I wrote a long review on QVC for others to see. Will you ever reconsider creating washable linen pieces to wear with it?

You know how much I like your linen pieces of the past!
    Dariann

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dariann…..Qvc does not want linen….They have a very bad experience with any linen garments and high returns. I keep showing it to them but at this point any nice linen is well beyond the price point.

  25. Chris/Jazzmom

I just paired the new apricot skirt with the olive paisley peasant top and it works well together! There is just enough apricot in the paisley pattern for it to coordinate well with this skirt. Same thing with the black paisley top — it works well. Which also means that the apricot ‘candy box’ top will work well with those paisley boho skirts. Thanks for a wonderful color– not too bright (neon) or light orange.

  26. Flora

Louis, so appreciative of your postcards from Paris. How lucky you two are to have made that trip! The photos of Paris at night remind me of scenes from Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris”. What a magical place it is! Oh, and speaking of “magical” – that’s a good word to describe your WK “candy box” sweater! What a beautiful creation, so soft and the fit just perfect. Truly a garment for all seasons and, if I may say it, so very French in spirit. Thank you for the blog and the sweater!

  27. Sandi

I have a beautiful dark turquoise suede jacket that I bought from your linea line item number A00161 and I cannot find a horseshoe closure ANYwhere for it. Can you help me? It is so beautiful and I get wonderful compliments on it but cant wear it because the screws came out and the fastener fell off. Thank you so very mucg

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I will check with my manufacturer, but honestly I doubt it……but I did forward you question..

      1. Anonymous

it is very upsetting to me about the jacket but i will probably just send it to a seamstress and have her redo the cuffs and take off the closures so I can use them on the jacket and wear it. But I do appreciate it. I even tried to find another jacket just to be able to get the closures. Still love your clothes though

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sandy, my manufacturer has gotten back to me and thinks that it might be possible to get you the piece, however you need a special machine to put it on……do you want the piece anyway?

      1. Sandi

Yes please. Actually what I need are the plates that the closure hooks into if you know what I mean. The closure itself is fine . It is the plates for lasck of another word and the screws that I need . Thank you so very much

      2. Sandi

Dear Louis, I hope you know what I meant when I told you what I need but I am more than glad to buy the whole closure if that is what I need to do in order to get the pieces I need. I miss wearing my beautiful jacket. I guess you would call it the buttonhole side of the closure but I am more than delighted to get the whole thing and probably will get an extra. Again, thank you ever so much.. You are still my favorite designer.

    3. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sandi, The pieces you asked for have arrived at my manufacturers office in NYC. Where would you like them to mail the closure to?

  28. chelle

question i saw this dress maxi that was desined by you on qvc.com its no longer available i am going on a cruise next month and it want the red or i beleive you called it brick where can it purchase it to have it in time please thnx

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear chelle, The brick red dress can only be purchased on QVC. I would suggest you go on wait list for any or all of the colors and hopefully you will get one.

  29. farmerwife

Louis, can you tell us if the apricot sweater and apricot skirt match. I noticed you did not show the apricot skirt on a model, and some were wondering if maybe they didn’t match. I’ll have to admit, when they were held up together, on my TV, it did not look like a good match. I went ahead and ordered both, and of course they are still in Penn waiting to be picked up, whatever that means, but just wondered if you consider them a good match or not. I suppose one could wear both top and bottom with different things, but had hopes of them working together. Loved everything you presented this last show and ordered waaayyy too many things. Thank you for all the great clothes you bring to us.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think they are close enough to wear together, however I honestly prefer them worn as separates, both with white. I especially like the sweater with navy, olive, khaki and chino. It could even look cute with some pretty pastel color Capri pants of equal value.

      1. farmerwife

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I think this color will look really nice with navy and imagine I will wear the sweater with your navy crops/capri from the April show. I was lucky enough to get those in all 3 colors.

  30. Kristen/spagal

    My Maxis arrived!
Louis, they are beautiful! My usual size worked and they are a perfect length so no hemming involved. Can’t wait to put them in my suitcase in 2 short weeks and head off to my honeymoon in Greece 🙂
I am actually home from work today and under the weather but these did the trick of brightening my day. Thank you thank you thank you!

      1. Kristen/spagal

Would love tips! It’s a cruise from Venice, stopping in Corfu, Mykonos and Athens for our Greek ports (with a first stop in Bari, Italy and last stop in Dubrovnik). Will wear the blue maxi for our late port in Mykonos heading out to dinner somewhere. Otherwise, it’s just a full day each place. Any tips for any port would be most appreciated!

      1. Kristen /spa

Just one but we have the full day to explore

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

If you get the chance “Da Ivo” is a wonderful little restaurant on a canal in Venice….they are all on canals. It’s been years since we have been to Mykonos and it has changed a great deal….the beaches are great. Jac told me to tell you the days can be very hot but it can really get cold at night so bring something that will keep you warm. I do remember we were in Santorini and it was really cold sitting outside for dinner….

          1. Kristen /spa

Louis, thank you so much for the recommendation. I’ll definitely fit in lunch in Venice, and plan to bring the green double-breasted jacket along for chillier times. My husband and I so appreciate you taking the time to communicate the way you do. As an aside, the Opera House in Paris was on my must see list and it truly is wonderful place to visit. Will let you know my thoughts on Greece when I return. Best to Jac as well

  31. sharon

    HI Louis,

Love this dress and would like another. Will you be bringing this back to QVC? And if so, when?

( The above dress in the photos is my first dress offering of the season and will be on my March 31st show, Sat. morning with Leah Williams. The style number is A222262. )

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sharon……it’s way too early to know whether QVC will reorder that dress, but I’m hoping to bring new versions next spring 2013

  32. Nancy (aka smilesalot)

Louis, This is just a heartfelt thank you for the shows on Saturday.
I so enjoy seeing the way you style your clothes.. things that are just perfect and would never occur to me — until I see them and say “OF course!! That is perfect!”
    You have such a gift.
I am reaching a point where almost every day is a Linea Day and I can’t tell you how easy the choices are each morning. No matter where I’m going, school, garden club, meetings or grocery shopping there is Linea to wear.

Thank you so much for each and every piece you offer us. I cannot buy or wear them all but the clothes I have are a delight~~!

    1. Nancy (aka smilesalot)

Opps.. that should read Friday shows~~~

  33. Sonia

Louis, you said during your show the cross pendant/necklace was available. I’ve been trying for a couple weeks to get it, but it has consistently showed sold out.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I thought the reorder was delivered….I guess the few pieces that were avail were from the wait list reorder and the actual reorder won’t be in until July…but I’ll double check.

  34. nikki

    Hello Louis,
I posted a question before, i don’tknow where it went. I loved your show on fri. Bought tons ofthings. andtruely enjoyed watching the shows. Among the things i bought was the apricot skirt, can u tell me your vision for wearing it more casual with items from your collections (ofcourse i bought the apricot candy box sweater, but i think together it would be a more dressed up look). I would love your thoughts on that. Thankyou. i love everything and am going to go over and look at your pics from France.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Nikki….I think after a certain number of questions and answers are posted the mysteriously disappear into some cyber folder!? I saw question, and I would be happy to answer it again. I agree with you, pairing the sweater and matching skirt will be dressier….suitable for the office, dinners, church etc…..places where it is appropriate to be less casual. For those more casual times…wear the sweater with white, chino, navy, khaki, olive Capri pants and sandals. You could even try a pretty pastel capri that would look good with the apricot. Like wise, wear the apricot skirt with a casual white or off white T-shirt or cotton shirt [like my Kate shirt] and sandals…flip flops etc.Even a jean jacket would look really cute a la Shawn.

      1. nikki

Thanks for your input, i cannot tell u how much i am having wearing your clothes. I recently added the tribal print fly away cardigan in a third color to go with my black pants. I absolutely love it, would love to see more in that style maybe even different fabrics from you. Thanks once again, waiting for all my goodies to arrive. ( just to let you know, i told my family, i know exactly want i want for mothers day. so it has been wonderful shopping for all my clothes from your collection)

  35. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Marilyn…..I believe the reorder hasn’t been shipped to QVC yet but I will check for you. I can’t believe the reorder has sold out already!

  36. Marilyn

Louis will your cross be coming back in stock, it says sold out, and no wait list? Love this chain and would like to finish my set.

  37. Maria (Goldie 76)

Louis, at the risk of being the overbearing and over-sharing communicator on your blog, I just wish to say that I am in full agreement with Susie, who posted today at 5:21 p.m. under Sneak Peek #8. She wrote that you had found your perfect match in Shawn as a co-host. Susie is right! The easy and positive synergy you two shared was unmistakably genuine. Shawn not only “gets” you, but she is one of those physical types who can wear well the variety of looks you create, showing them to their best advantage. I can love many of your creations but cannot carry them off, such as your gorgeous floral bohos. Your fashions today left us in ecstasy (and with challenging personal economics for the moment — too many purchases lately). I watched your shows (which I recorded) as soon as I got home from work. Of course, I did my purchasing this morning and admit to sneaking a few peeks at my desk during your 1:00 p.m. show on the live stream. Congrats on great shows today! They were fun, and I picked up some saucy summer fashions.

    1. BooBear

I disagree with you Goldie! Someone with Louis’s experience and talent does not need someone half his age interupting him and being the alph female on his show! I am personally offended by such behavior

      1. Katmandu

BooBear, I hear where you are coming from. Louis is such a professional. He can certainly control any situation with class and dignity. Love all the new clothes. What a beautiful show

  38. Ria

    Hi Louis

Yours are the only clothes that I would consider buying on QVC. I was a fan of yours from the 80’s when I had to wear suits and sportswear to the office.

Was very glad to be able to purchase your lovely designs again.

Would love more jewelry and Pucci-like clothing!

I used to work for Peter Rogers in the 80’s and live in your hometown as well!

Wish you were on QVC more and WHY don’t they schedule you for the evening?!

    Love your beautiful, classic designs!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Ria….so nice to hear from you. Why QVC only puts me on during the day is a good question….We have gotten used to it. The bet thing about doing early shows is…we can get out and get home in time for dinner with the babies!LOL

  39. Marilyn

Hello Lois, great show! My my credit card is on fire. Please consider coming to the Shopping Channel in Canada. It is in Ontario just outside of Toronto. The only thing I order on the Q is your line. Can you imagine $ 10.27 for a pair of earings to be shipped! It cost over $ 40.00 for my order to be shipped plus Duties. Please consider this as you expanded to the UK and Paris.
PS. I watch your show on my laptop.

    1. Inna

Me too! I watch LDO show on my laptop!

  40. Inna

    Hi Louis!
Great show as usual! Loved everything you brought for us!! I was LOL when you said that I’m afraid of running out of your notch blazer with pearl buttons (Yes, you’re absolutely right! I love your clothes so much, that I do own multiples! Can’t buy them in Canada!LOL). I have a request for you: Please, can you bring the white pearl necklaces with gold stations back?..and the lever back earrings with button pearls to match your pearl buttons?
Thank you for all the beautiful clothes you design! You are the best!!
    Inna/joinki.

  41. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

Great shows as usual! Loved the styling on both the Lana and the caftan dresses. I have a question regarding the caftan dress. Is the slip made of the same georgette fabric as the caftan dress? Does the slip have some stretch to it or is it a woven fabric with no stretch? I checked the QVC measurements and the slip is quite a bit smaller than is usual for one of your dresses in my size. I’m concerned that I should have sized up if the slip does not have any give to it. Thanks for your help and for all the beautiful clothes that you design. Am so thrilled that your jewelry line will be growing. Thank you!

    Carol

  42. nikki

Louis, I enjoyed the shows a lot and did a lot of damage to my creditcard. Loved each and every item and look forward to receiving it. I wanted to know how would you style the apricot skirt ( which I got) for more of an everyday look. It is such a pretty color, ofcourse i got the matching top, but ithink together they would be more for a special occasion. What are your thoughts. Your visions for this skirt in apricot would be great to hear. thankyou

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear nikki….you are absolutely right. The sweater and the skirt in the apricot [or black] worn together is a more dressed up look. I see the skirt worn very casual with very strippy sandals and a white or ivory T-shirt or cotton shirt maybe belted with a skinny belt…keep it fresh and clean looking…..keep the top casual and simple….the skirt has a lot going on and should be the focal point

  43. Kate

LDO–yes, I am (as usual) jumping the season here, but I noticed that THE turtleneck has a new color on wait list called ‘Mushroom’. I am assuming that is lighter shade of brown, like maybe a milk chocolate shade?

Oh, and the new cross necklace coming in July? Multiples coming home to Mama on that one!

    1. Louis dellolio

      Dear Kate,
it’s a medium to paler taupe brown…….more on the taupe side. With your multiple cross necklaces…..can I tempt you with some dangle cross earrings in gold ans silver?

      1. Debbie M

You don’t have to tell me twice. Will the necklace come in silver too?

        1. Sherry

          Did I hear silver?

          1. Sherry

Yippee!!!! Thank you, thank you for the silver.

      2. LauraL

I am very interested. Please let us know the item numbers when you have them. As you know we find them as soon as they are in the system that way. I have ordered the new matching earrings with the interchangeable drops that became available today. Can’t wait to get them.

Also any idea if/when the pearl earrings will be available. Also item number please.

Already have the Tneck on waitlist.

      3. Kate

        You had me at earrings!

      4. Susana

Great news! I’m so getting all of them!,,,

  44. Maria (Goldie 76)

    SOS to Louis!

Louis, I just now tried to buy the Lana dress by plugging in the number into the QVC search engine, and the response was “SOLD OUT.” I feel so ridiculously naive about how all this works. Since I did not see the dress on your QVC site, I guessed it was not yet for sale. A question sent to you made me think otherwise. Are there going to be any others available soon?

Thank you for your help. (I just now lost my “love” dress.)

    1. Sherry

FYI, when Louis has a show, items become availabe around midnight, unless they are being held for a OTO. We lucked out this go around and two items are already listed with “event prices”.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Maria, it isn’t sold out. It won’t be avail. to purchase until midnight tonight when it should be posted. If it’s not posted at midnight then it won’t be avail until Q Check.

      1. Maria (Goldie 76)

Thank you both so much for responding. My heart was broken. I even called QVC to double-check if there was some mix-up since the Lana has not been “revealed” yet. The answer from the very polite QVC lady was that the dress was, indeed, sold out.

Hurray. I still have a chance for it. It was a matter of love at first sight, you know.

  45. njlady

    Another question.
Length – where does it hit with the knee?
Can you shorten to just above knee?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Where it hits depends on how tall you are and what proportion your torso is to your legs. It’s going to hit everyone differently, and YES you can absolutely shorten it above your knee if you find it too long.

  46. njlady

    Dear Louis,
The Lana Dress is gorgeous. Is it true to size, fitted, semi fitted?
I am worried about the middle section , not the bottom.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    No measurements on QVC yet
    Thank You,
I want this in my wardrobe

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I would say get your normal size! It’s a shaped dress. I can’t say it’s fitted or semi fitted…it depends on your body and where you carry your weight. The back of the dress is easy that is why there are the elastic gores…to pull it in. It’s the strap ties that will give you the FIT you need……..Louis

  47. Victoria

    Louis,
I thought we were getting some Flax colored pants in May and is that pants and a matching jacket?

  48. nikki

You mentioned a tiered short skirt with a pleated border? is this coming soon? if so when and what colors

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s on the 2am show this Friday and it comes in BLACK and APRICOT. I won’t have a sneak peek of it because I don’t have the samples. The sweater in Black and Apricot is also on the 2am show…….

      1. nikki

Thankyou, I look forward to it, do you have the item number by anychance? it makes it easier if i have that when i place my order at midnite

      2. Debbie M

do you have the length as well as the item number?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

A224718 is the style number of the skirt, but I can tell you the exact length without the sample. I can say it’s definitely below the knee but shorter than a boho.

  49. Maria (Goldie 76)

Why is QVC lagging behind when it comes to posting images of your newest items? Hope this isn’t a continuing trend.

    1. Chris/Jazzmom

I’ll answer that– I believe if its not presented yet on TV, the picture is not shown online (the chain link earrings and 61″ station necklace for two examples).

      1. Maria (Goldie 76)

Ah, so that’s it. You know the ways of QVC’s world, Chris/Jazzmom. The images help me so much when making a decision. And there is nothing like a video to see an item on one of the models.

        Thanks so much!

  50. Qulia

    Louis,

Welcome home! We are looking forward to seeing you and Jac later this week. Here’s my question: Will the new sateen jackets go with the chambray and perfectly pink bohos?

My list of must have is growing with every sneak peek! I have cleared my schedule for Friday.

    Julia

  51. Birdie

    Dear Louis,

Another safari question: Any chance your shirt dress (A214119) will be returning soon, possibly in black and navy? I have it in olive and adore it.

Looking forward to seeing you and Jac on Friday!

    Birdie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Birdie…..no chance at all. If and when QVC decides to reorder the dress it will take a year. That will all depend on returns….if they are too high….it’s a dead item.

  52. Bernadine

Waiting impatiently for the May 11th shows. Could you tell me the length of the sleeves on the new tee, A224715?? Are they elbow length??

    Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bernadine….sorry to get back to you so late. To be honest, because it is a raglan sleeve I don’t remember??? I think it’s closer to the elbow. It definitely isn’t short.

      1. Bernadine

Glad to hear that it’s a “longer” short sleeve.
        Thanks for your reply.

  53. Birdie

    Dear Louis,

I’m very excited about the upcoming caftan dress. Looks so chic in the pictures.
I also have a request for spring 2013: Please do a safari vest! I love all your safari items and would love to have a Linea safari vest to round out the collection. Thoughts?

My best to you and Jac.

    Birdie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I would love to do a safari vest and have had samples made in the past. The problem is the cost. They are almost as expensive as jackets, and they always get eliminated because no one at the meetings feels the value is there. QVC also has not had much success with vests, but I do like the idea….just have to come up with one they would think women would pay the money for.

      1. Birdie

I don’t think your Linea ladies would turn down a safari vest, even at a “jacket price”. Please keep offering vests to the Q buyers. I have a feeling that a Linea safari vest would be a home run 🙂

        1. Victoria

I agree Birdie…I once had a safari vest, well it was made on the order of those shooting vests and the shoulders were quilted. I wore it out. I would pay good money for another one. Perhaps the time of year…Fall, would sell women on such a vest… on something to throw on when they run out. I live in the Northeast and pull out my down vest as soon as I can. It leaves my arms free and keeps me warm.

          1. Sherry

Victoria, I have a vest close to the shooting vest you once had…it had quilted shoulders. Maybe a vest that had the same feel as the quilted jacket with the snaps down the front. That was my go-to jacket all winter…as winter was not as cold this past year. Never had to get my heavy coats out of the closet. Just thinking out loud…

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Birdie…..no chance at all. If QVC decides to reorder it…..it will take a year, and that will be determined by the returns.

  54. Gail

I need your advice to remedy my dumbness. While I was pressing some of your pieces, I touched a too warm iron to the olive faux shantung jacket and it shredded the fabric in about a one inch space. This, fortunately, is just at the bottom of a pocket and is barely noticeable. But I am afraid the flaw will get bigger with wearing and washing. Any suggestions, other than clearing the fog from my brain? Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Honestly Gail….I don’t have much to contribute except try not to use that pocket….less wear and tear. Also you might want to dry clean it instead of washing it. You would only have to dry clean it once or twice a season depending on how often you wear it. Be careful!!!! Those irons are dangerous!

      1. Gail

Thanks! Dry cleaning is probably the way to go. You’re right: stay clear when I’m wielding an iron. I looked at some of the videos on the UK site and enjoyed the interchange between you and the hosts. The calm atmosphere made it easier to get your descriptions. You should surely succeed in the UK market, especially with the return to classy dressing brought about by Kate Middleton.

    2. ninjasmom

Hi Gail, If I may make a suggestion. Can you patch this from underneath? There are several products available to repair holes and thin spots.I have used them with good success.

      1. Gail

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll check into it. The damage is at the bottom end of the pocket, so I’m not sure I could repair it from the inside. I appreciate it.

  55. nikki

    Hello Louis,
Loved the shows from the uk, and I am looking forward to the shows this fri. I wanted to make you aware that some of the white crop pants from the last show are backordered. I ordered an extra small and it has been backordered? do you know if when they will at the qvc warehouse to be shipped? I was really looking forward to wearing them soon
on another note, would you consider doing a short shirt in the same fabric as the boho. I own the ikat print twirl skirt and love it. Missed the solids, would love that design or anything else you can come up with. Do you think the solid is easy to tailor. I am debating on getting the xlarge and taking it to a tailor to alter it to a small/extrasmall. is it doable or too much work? thanks for all you do.

    1. nikki

I meant doing a short skirtnot a short shirt., (need to get better at typing)
      regards

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi nikki……about the crop pant…I have no idea….I think you would have to depend on a return. As for a short version of the boho….I did a sample already but it was not chosen, however now there is a new buyer so I’ll try again.

      1. nikki

        Dear Louis
I would love that. I cannot tell you how many times I have worn the ikat pring 2 tier skirt and gotten compliments. And in the hot days of summer sometimes I just like wearing a short skirt instead. Thanks, i hope the new design gets chosen or atleast the solid color 2 tier short skirt gets reordered.

  56. Birdie

    Dear Louis,

    I trust you’re enjoying Europe!
My question is kind of intercontinental too: Since your lace jacket is sold out in the U.S. I wonder if the sizing of it in the UK is the same as in the U.S.? I have a dear friend over there who may order it for me but I’d like to make sure that the sizing is consistent.

    Merci & Bon Voyage!
    Birdie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Birdie….they are the exact same jackets….absolutely no difference. The only difference is…..they use different style numbers and the line is just called “Louis Dell’Olio Collection”.

      1. Birdie

That’s great news. Considering the wonderful reviews of the lace jacket it would be lovely if you brought it back next spring. May I suggest in lemon, taupe, and navy?
        Glad you enjoyed your trip!
        “See” you soon.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

You and Kate both asked for navy. The very first sample I saw was in black lace with the same linen and gingham trim and it was beautiful!!!Would you be interested in black…..with the tweed tank and sand pant it really looked great.

          1. Marcia

            I would vote for that!

            1. nikki

              me too

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

Good….now lets hope it gets reordered and they want a new color or two!

            3. Sherry

              me three

          2. Birdie

I’m sure the lace jacket would look gorgeous in both black and navy. So yes, please put the new colors on your list.
How do you feel about lemon and taupe? I actually dreamed about the jacket in these two colors last night. They looked lovely too 😉

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Both good suggestions! A taupe/chino/khaki color would look great with the trims….so would a yellow

            2. Cathy

My 2 cents: I’d LOVE to see the Lace Jacket in Navy and Black, and then in a neutral light taupe/chino/khaki color similar to the linen banding on the jacket … and of course any other colors suggested such as lemon 🙂

              Cathy in PA

          3. voodoo

            yes to black please

          4. Kate

Black lace? Well, if you insist! I would love that.

          5. enjay

I would be interested in black!!!!!!!!!!!

            1. Saphira

And me too, navy first then black!

  57. Sonia

Louis, I absolutely love A222275, the “Pucci” print shirt (in blue) and am hoping you will make more shirts using this fabric and cut. The V neck is just right and lays beautifully, and this blend of fabric drapes well. Everything about this shirt is wonderful. The animal print (A214114)is not quite the same, has a drier hand to the fabric, the V doesn’t sit as smoothly, and the cut is different. While the sizing is allegedly the same on the two shirts, the animal print one actually fits quite a bit looser and is a few inches shorter. Please use the “Pucci” as the fabrication for your future gorgeous prints. Thank you for your consideration.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sonia…..the two T-shirts are supposed to be the same size. The drier hand is closer to a true rayon matte jersey….which I think feels and looks more expensive. The Pucci-esque print was supposed to be the same also…so you see they are not always consistent…..I know my manufacturer goes through many fittings to get things right……we will keep trying our best.

      1. Sherry

I think the Q lists the animal print top as relaxed fit and the “Pucci” inspired print as semi-fitted. While I like both, just bought a second animal print top.

        1. Victoria

I find the Q is often clueless in its ability to correctly identify Louis’ designs, the fit, style and color. That is another reason why his shows are crucial to learning how he originally saw a particular design.

  58. Sami Jo

Dear Louis- I have been a fan not for years but for decades. I was a huge buyer/wearer of AK while you were designing and in charge. Imagine my shock and delight at least 7 or 8 years ago when I happened to see you on QVC showing your beautifully designed and executed fashions. I became hooked and have closets full of your Linea line. In fact, the timelessness of your style and the quality of the clothing makes it almost impossible for me to clean out my closets every year since I want to keep everything from you…I was watching your April show and purchased a number of items – including those fabulous jeans and striped sweater which both melt away pounds. During that show, I had a real belly laugh from a comment you made. I am in my late fifties and my body shape and weight has changed considerably over the past few years and I have been returning a lot more garments than usual. Well, a comment was made that one of your items was tight fitting, and without missing a beat, you said something like “wear Spanx – what do you think they were made for…” Well, duh, this formerly size two, now a size ten, got the message, got the Spanx and absolutely love the way your clothing looks so much better on me. Thank you Louis for many, many years of looking beautiful and timeless in your clothing. Love what you do and how you do it.

  59. nikki

Louis, I know its too late for this season, but will you consider designing a short version of a crinkle georgette skirt. I have the two tier and love wearing it. Just looking for more in the short version for the hot hot days… THankyou for all your clothes, my new problem for dressing up is which outfit to wear, I have so many of your designs and each is so beautiful and elegant without being over the top.
regards, watched you on uk qvc, loved it, look forward to our shows in the us

  60. Chris/Jazzmom

Love love the tile print outfit in the espresso!! There was a slight snafu with the tweed tank– courtesy of the warehouse but I loved it so much in the espresso, I ordered it now in the turquoise. The limeade tank does not go with the espresso skirt. What looks best to me is the silk blend espresso tank underneath the shirt.

  61. Coralie Brun

    Dear M. Dell’Olio,

I am working for M6 boutique, the French TV shopping, as a buyer for the fashion department. Actually, I am looking for partnerships with other foreign TV shopping suppliers.

I saw your fahion line on QVC and I am very interested to build a partnership with you. I would be very glad to organize a phone meetingI assure you that we are really motivated to develop a business with you and it will be a way to introduce you on the French market.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
    Best Regards,

Dear Louis, I was so sad not to be able to purchase the beautiful lace jacket and tweed tank on your last show. Both were just about 2 inches too short for 5’8″ me. I’m not looking for long hip length jackets, just something that doesn’t look quite so chopped off and would reach a bit below my waist. Please, please, please.

    Dear Louis,

After my endless whining and begging, the chain hoop earrings have at long last made their way to my jewelry box. They are everything I expected…and more! They are the perfect size. I can’t decide which pair to wear first.

I’m blowing you a kiss across the Atlantic to thank you for them. MWAH!

    Hello Louis,

I was wondering if you have ever thought about developing a line of petite sizes for your beautiful clothes. I didn’t mean for just pants, maxi dresses, or maxi skirts, but for everything. Even for something as basic and simple as a top, if you are very short not only the length but all the proportions are just wrong and absolutely nothing fits.

If this seems like a viable idea, perhaps you could pioneer this area by choosing a few “essential” pieces and offering both regular and petite versions in all sizes.
I suspect there are plenty of women out there who would celebrate joyously if this would happen.

    Warmest hellos, Elaine

    Dear Louis,

Here’s a little light vacation reading for you …

A big tower of boxes and bags was delivered to me via UPS today! Contents?:

Windowpane Jacket in all 3 Colors … Elegant, smart, sophisticated and beautiful …

Cuffed Crop Pants in all 3 Colors ….. I was hesitant, as I don’t usually order pants online due to fit issues … These are PERFECT! Luckily a few left and I’ve already ordered an extra pair of Navy, as they look divine with the Navy Windowpane Jacket. Because I’m only 5’3″ SHORT, the pants come to my ankle, and I LOVE the look. That Navy outfit is what I’ll wear to the big jewelry wholesale show at the Javits Center this Saturday … yippee, I don’t have to “THINK” about “business casual” ! I even like the white pants, with the Navy jacket and the Turquoise jacket, and I usually HATE White pants …

Lace Jacket in Moss and Terra Cotta, with the matching Tweed Tank … What can I say? Simple, very casual with my own linen pants, very elegant dress up with a vintage silk tank, shell or blouse and a skirt or my full length silk/linen trousers … divine! We’ll hope for more colors in this … Navy, Ivory, Black, Espresso … endless possibilities here.

Only sad note was my new 2 Tier Black Skirt to wear with the White Windowpane Jacket was missing from the box, and is now “sold out”, so I’ll be back to stalking returns … and writing more letters about Live Linea Shows and larger inventory :)))

Didn’t mean to take up so much of your time, but I really wanted you to know how much I like these new garments! Happy Vacationing; I hope you don’t even have a minute to read this till a couple of weeks from now because you and Jac are having such a great time LOL.

Regards to you both, Cathy in PA
