Dear Ruth, no I hadn’t heard….Actually, my mother wanted to name me James after my father, but my father’s father, my grand father, wanted my parents to name me Louis after my father’s brother……so you see who won…..LOL. Personally, I always preferred James over Louis. That’s why Jac always called me her Louie, which I liked better…..like Louie the X1V….Jac was the only one allowed to call me Louie. That’s the way we liked it……I will always be Louis. I’ve learned to like it. I guess it is a bit unusual. It’s not a name you hear that often.
HI Louis– my hubby is also a Louis, and I can tell someone’s “history” with him by whether they call him “Louis”– his sisters and his late parents– or “Louie”– people who went to school with him– and “Lou” for everyone else, including me, who met him as an adult.
He knows not to interrupt or hit the remote when you are on the Q. He calls you “the other Louis.” And he often inquires “is that a Louis” by way of complimenting an outfit I am wearing. Actually, by now he assumes virtually everything I wear is a “Louis” and will say “That’s a nice Louis you are wearing” LOL!!!!!–Blinddogs

Louis, the new colors for the seed bead necklaces have been available for 2 days now, but still no images are available on QVC. I know we have seen sneak peeks of the colors; pink, red, and topaz. Is the “royal” a mistake? I would assume it includes royal blue? Sometimes QVC color names make no sense, so I’m really wondering what it looks like.

Well I placed my order yesterday for the pink and blue necklaces but there was a computer problem and I now have 3 blue and one pink coming and they won’t let me cancel or edit them . I caught the problem within hours but they say it can’t be changed. The Q is getting to be a real pain is it because new owners ? I’ll need to change one of those blues for a red instead.

Just got the Denim dress in the Camo. I love it so much, I ordered another for back-up.
I know a few of the ladies are having troubles with the ties.
Here’s what I did. I took the ties out, folded the cuff up and reinserted the ties from the opposite way and tied on the outside of the folded cuff. Vwa-la. Problem solved and looks so good.
I must say though, I did have to push them through with a bit of effort, because of the “knot” at the ends, but went through nicely.
I would love to see this dress in more colors!
Shari….compliments to you……”where there is a will there is a way!” That was a very clever way of dealing with the ties. For my petites this is perfect, because it shortens the sleeve a good 2 to 2/2 inches, plus the ties become shorter hanging on the arm.
Louis, I’ve voted three times now for your gorgeous Bridal Gown in the London Sweepstakes on the QVC home page. I had a ballet pink re-embroidered lace wedding dress with chiffon skirt, so I loved seeing the ombré blush on your design. IMHO your design blows the others away, so I’m here to urge all you fans to vote every day. It’s a pain to go through all the pages to get to it, but you only have to do it once. After that, it’s easy and fast to enter once a day.

They’re pretty well hidden! If you go to the home page of the QVC website and scroll wayyyyy down the page to the London Sweepstakes and fill out three screens worth of information, you finally get to the voting and the sketches, Every time you vote after that, you only have to enter your email address. They only allow one vote per day.
Your design is far and away the winner in my estimation, as a totally unbiased LDO devotee!

I know what you mean by too much work, but maybe Jennifer could dig through it and post it on Facebook since there’s a share link on the final voting pg.
The fourth designer is Gary Goben. I think he designs Denim and Co.? Louis, your gown is so lovely! Can we see other gowns you’ve created? I’d love that.

In thought I answered you???? I guess it didn’t post. They should have been but they weren’t. The budget wasn’t there to order them. A lot of good things don’t get reordered due to the budget.
Louis, it probably didn’t post–happens to me all the time! I was afraid you would say the bracelets would not be reordered… and it’s another lesson in buying it, before it disappears when it comes to Linea! Any chance that decision will be revisited?
Also, I wanted to let you know that I received the camo denim dress thinking I’d try it and see if it would work…Well, I ordered up a size to get a smidge more length and it hits at the top of my knee. Love the fabric & fit and it actually makes my knees look better! LOL So, it’s a keeper! With tanned legs in the summer and a pair of espadrilles, I’m all set! I also ordered the indigo denim dress in a petite & it works beautifully as a tunic. (Thank you for that suggestion!) Hope you do more in this fabric…it’s lovely. I’m enjoying my spring haul of Linea & look forward to your next show!
Dear Grace….the bracelets had all the requisites for being reordered. It’s a matter of do we want to use the money allotted to us for new or reorders. I always go for the new. I don’t even know if the Scythe necklace will be reordered and it did great!

Dear Diane….that’s an excellent question!!!!! It seems the boxes containing that one color were miss marked. It took quite a while for them to inform my company….so now my company is working on correcting this, but everything moves at a snails pace…..it’s very frustrating!

She seemed a perfect match for the brand, classy and elegant. Jennifer does look terrific in your clothes. Of course, they are really beautiful garments. My only frustration is that I am petite and thin and QVC sizes run a bit large (xxs is more like brick and mortar s) so I often need to belt or tie the shirts to make the look work. My sister, on the other hand, does not need to do this. Her closet is full of Linea just as it was full of Anne Klein when you were the head of design. You are one of a kind, a truly talented, classy, good hearted human. Take care and don’t give up.

Ditto Diamondscribe’s comments about A302557 the moss crepe v neck top. I too would love short, sleeves in this top. Easy like a tee but dressier. I would buy more of the existing tops but brown, ginger and bay leaf are not flattering colors on me and may be why more have not sold. This is one of my favorite tops.

I am interested in the tunic and pants with the chiffon on the bottom of each in dusk, white, and black. I like monochromatic dressing. I think these outfits will be wonderful for traveling as you can dress them up or down. Do you think these items will be on your early in May show on QVC 1 so I can purchase.

Louis, I’m crazy about this season’s ponte crop pants (petites). I have 2 pair in each color and plan to pick up more next month. I love the linen color in particular. It has proven to be so versatile. I would like to plead to the buyer via you for this color to be offered in the super ponte slim leg pant for Fall/Winter.
Another of my recent faves is the moss crepe swing top. I don’t understand why that hasn’t been a sell-out. Maybe it just had the bad luck to schedule in at the same time as a lot of drama pieces. This is such an essential. I would love to see something like this v-neck in short sleeves – same wonderful crepe moss. A version with shorter sleeves would make it perfect for us southern Linea Ladies. I love my Linea clothes. They make life so easy. Today I have work and meetings from dawn to dusk…and from there to a memorial service this evening followed by dinner out. So, I simply threw on my black moss crepe v-neck swing top and ponte pants and will just change accessories through the day. Thanks!

A few years ago I purchased two denim pantsuits from you–one in black denim and one in white denim. The jackets have the peplum feature in the back, which I know is very “in” now. I wore the black one the other day, and it is still beautiful. I was wondering how you would style these outfits today. Was even thinking about having the pant legs made narrower and not quite so flared. I would love to have your thoughts if you have time–however, I know you are so very busy with all of the beautiful designs you have coming. So thankful you have Jennifer to assist you in the details! Dear Barbara…..Since i no longer have those samples, it’s hard for me to comment about the pant leg since both slim and flared are bot “in”. It’s what you are most comfortable.I would say since they are in black and white, styling them is limitless. Tee shirts, classic shirts, prints ruffle front, like cascading ruffles, would ALL work and change the look entirely. Jewelry and scarves can give you a more casual or dressed up look. When in doubt, a black or white tank under either color suit always looks great. That way you can really accessories to your hearts content…..What do I always say!!!

I have been wearing the Indigo drawstring dress all day and I am in LOVE!! I do not look good in Camo and am on waitlist for another indigo.
I do hope that this will be a repeat fabric. I would love this in a black denim!
This fabric is so very nice, soft and comfortable. I have not washed it yet, but hopefully, it will stay this way.
I noticed that the A304750 maxi dresses have a scoop neckline and the tunics with the chiffon on the bottom have a v neck. Would one, ie. in the Ivory, be suitable to wear over the maxi dress for coverage? Or, would it be too heavy and too many layers? I don’t wear sleeveless, for work, and do have a cardigan I could wear, but was wondering about the combinations of the fabrics. Then, the scoop would show above the V neck.
What would your opinion be about this? There are no pockets in the maxi dress, is that correct? That would be another plus to me.

Really enjoyed your first shows!Just wanted you both to know that I and my husband went to Charleston, SC this weekend for the Southeastern Regional meeting of the Ferrari Club of America! I was truly a model for Linea/ QVC! I wore the sangria and copper crepe gauze outfits and the Mardi Gras necklace and the new chocolate necklace set and the black blazer with the matching pants. I wore the black seed bead necklace with this. Received so many compliments and was asked what designer and where? Of course my answer was Louis Dell Olio and QVC! My husband thought I looked fabulous and now I am waiting for more Linea pkgs!! Thanks Louis and QVC ! Never heard back abt when the stream crops may come so I will just keep warching!😊

If i don’t answer the questions right away they seem to slip away from me…..so never hesitate to ask me again!!!! They are due next month, but with the Q you never know. Dear Angela I thank you for your words, but I don’t know how deserving they are. If I seem courageous, I can only say each day is a struggle. My only salvation is my work. That is the only think that keeps me from thinking of Jac, and even that doesn’t always do it. I always ask her questions when I’m designing, and hope that some divine guidance will help me. I pray that she is always with me if only in my memories…On beautiful sunny , clear cool days like this one, on the water, I can only think of how much she would love this. It was her favorite kind of day…..It’s very bittersweet for me…….As for the pant, so far it hasn’t been reordered, but it may be for next spring? I know there are sizes in navy and Dk. chocolate which are two good basic colors that will go with a lot of what I’m doing.

I am in LOVE with the new denim dress!!!
The details are great, loving the pockets and the fabric is so soft and amazing to touch and against the skin.
My size Small is already on waitlist in this dress, so could not get a second one. The camo is absolutely not my color, but this dress and fabric are amazing. Will you have other items made in this fabric? The pockets are in the right place on the regular, I am not sure how they would work in the petite size. The length in the regular is great on me.
So happy with this purchase and I have already left my review.

Wow it has been a long time since I came on here but after watching Louis’s shows I had to come and say Job well done Louis. I may not hang out like I used to but I still watch your shows and buy your designs. Loving my India necklace and get lots of compliments on it as well as my other purchases. I quit visiting due to illnesses on both sides of my family. My and my husbands mothers were both diagnosed with dementia within weeks of each other. My mom is in Louisiana and Ron’s mom in Montana, We have been running ourselves ragged but things are better now. I have kept up. You are looking good and keeping us looking good. Thank you for that. I just wanted to stick my head in the door and say hello ad thank you again.
Dear Amanda. please don’t be a stranger! I know only too well what being a care giver is like. It’s exhausting to the point you have no energy to lift you head from the pillow. Make sure you and your husband take good care off yourselves. You can’t be much help to others if you don’t care for yourselves first. I hope things ease up a little for both of you so you can have some of your life back.

Dear Amanda, I understand only too well. So often Jac would look at me and say, “I only want to feel normal again”. Thinking of her saying that breaks my heart. Even when she was feeling her best during that year the medication was working, she was never herself before the cancer. The side effects were always there, She would call it her “new normal”. Take care of yourselves! We never know what’s just around the corner.

I wanted to follow-up on my post last month regarding my favorite necklace, J296893-the two row, metallic graduated bead necklace. Based on the dates of QVC reviews, I probably purchased mine in 2015. It had discolored and I was leery of cleaning it myself. I sent it to your manufacturer last month and asked for a repair or cleaning and have just received it back. It looks brand new! I am so pleased. Thank-you for providing this service to us. I have a large Linea jewelry collection so it’s reassuring to know your manufacturer will help out when there’s a problem with our favorites.

Dear Mary, I remember well you asking about the necklace, and i wasn’t sure, due to the special finish of the beads, that they could help. I’m so happy to here all came out well. It is a beautiful day here on the water. It’s very quiet today, and I see only one lonely sail boat on the water. In a few weeks that will all change. It’s still cold enough to light the fireplace. The wood is stacked and it’s already to be lit.
Isn’t it nice when something or someone exceeds your expectations? If you told me they replaced the necklace, I would believe you. Today, in honor of Barbara Bush, I wore my pearls and I remember how much I like wearing them casually. Linea pants, Kate shirt and jean jacket completed my outfit.
This morning, I turned our heat on for a brief time to warm the house. By this afternoon, with the warm sunshine, it’s plenty warm here. I’m a little north of New Haven and get the shore weather effects so I would guess that our temps are pretty similar. We were in Mystic today and noticed the same-very few boats in the water. I’m sure by our next visit there, things will be very different. Lovely town to visit.

Dear Tylerpoo….it’s not navy, more like a sapphire/cobalt blue and silver seed beads with the bars in gold…….The roller bracelet will come in gold, silver, gunmetal and shiny black. The fit on these is interesting, because they fit all of the models, even Maria who would normally wear a large and Chantal. Even though Chantal is thin, she has a broad palm and finds certain bracelets hard to get past it…..not these. You just roll them on instead of PUSHING.

The shows were great. Always enjoy watching if even I own an item or it isn’t my taste. Your little style tidbits are so helpful. Jen did a great job with Amy and the girls.
I had asked about wearing the denim dress as a tunic because I wasn’t sure about the length. I ordered it when it was posted and was able to read the exact measurements. I went with the regular length and ordered a small due to the stretch and your comment about the sizing and bagginess.
Usually I have to wait for my packages to be delivered from the PO but UPS was delivering something from another retailer today and they also delivered my denim dress. I’m really happy to report that it is wonderful. I always worry about the sizing but I made the right choice. I think that if I had gone with the petite I would have been disappointed.
Quick question. When is the original beach glass necklace going to be available?. Hoping it will be here before June.

Hi Louis! I am a brand new fan of you and your fashions! I am a QVC watcher and just saw yesterday and day before I think, your shows on QVC. I am so impressed with everything I saw! I want one of everything! Love the classy look and how you put pieces together for such awesomely beautiful outfits! And your jewelry adds so much! I am in love with the fish necklace as I am a Pieces so I am always drawn to fish motifs! I am ordering one in the copper. I had ordered a snap front hoodie from QVC from your line and I just love it. That is the only thing I have at present, but like I said, I want one of everything you do! I had never caught one of your shows with you presenting your lovely items before and I think you are so talented and gifted. Loved how you showed your sketches too! Please don’t ever leave QVC!

I just had to write and tell you about something I saw this evening. Here in Houston, since Mrs. Bush past away we had had a ton of coverage on her life. They just flashed a picture of her and she was wearing Anne Klein earrings. They were the set with the lion head wiith a brass ring attached to the lions mouth. Did you design those??? 😀😀😀

They may have or may not have been AK earring since we couldn’t register a lions head. I didn’t really design the lion signature jewelry. I had the manufacturer come up with designs and I would approve them, looks at the castings and continue the process until they came to fruition. There were hundreds and hundreds of variations, but no I did not design them.
Louis, I am pretty sure they were the Kenneth Jay Lane lion head ones. She, always, wore his pearls as well. oxoxox

Dk.Navy and white crops and /or leggings for the indigo, and brown or dk. olive for the camo. It would also depend on the shoe and what colors are avail in the crops and leggings

Do you still have your Scottie dogs, you posted a Christmas card a few years ago and it was the cutest card ever. I am owned by a Scottie myself. You had three Scottie’s and yours must have been well behaved, I can only imagine what living was like with three of them, as I had
two at one time, now I only have one and she runs runs the whole household.

Dear Joyce….Jac and i have always had Scotties, and sometimes a Westie thrown in for color…..LOL. My three girls are with me Anabel [Annie], is the oldest and Jac’s baby. Jac really spoiled her. She is a true Diva and Jac would get on the kitchen floor and hand feed her!!! It’s funny she now just eats by herself because she knows Jac isn’t here to feed her. Lilibet [Lili], is our middle child, and what a middle child personality. She’s very quirky, and jumps at any loud sound. Samantha {Sam or Sammy], is our baby, and I must confess a Daddy’s girl. When we decided to get a third I told the breeder I wanted one with a lively personality, and she had to be PURE BLACK. Our other two are Brindles. Well when we picked her up the breeder said she was a hellion. We laughed, and thought how could a puppy be a hellion…..breeders know. She is smart as a whip, and an escape artist. Not that she wants to run away….she just loves the challenge! She is feisty but such a sweetie…..a Daddy’s girl!Annie is 10 and having kidney problems and I have to give her intravenous fluids every day so I don’t like to be away to long. I know Jac is watching over her until they are together. Lili and Sam are both 8. They have the same Daddy, but different Mommies Lili was born at the beginning of the year and Sammy was a Christmas baby. They are always happy when Daddy comes home, and I can’t wait to get home and see them and hug them. My emotions are always right there…..It really doesn’t take much.

Dear Kathy, no wood bracelets. They aren’t big on bangles at QVC. I guess history hasn’t been good. Fit problems, and minimums on wood bangles are huge. There are lots out in the market place. At least here in NYC. Go on ebay and type in wood bracelets.I’m sure a ton will come up.
Not sure if you have time for a quick question but in case you do, how does the peasant shirt run? I usually take XXS but sometimes need an XS. Thanks!
Hi Melissa— I also wear an XXS and just tried it on and it fit beautifully! However, I should point out that this is one of those styles that you could size up to XS if you wanted a little longer shirt tail and more blousey effect.

So glad you mentioned that we could order the denim dress in a petite and wear it over leggings. I love the camo color but my legs are pasty white and that would’ve never worked at 5‘10“. I enjoy all your shows and the way things are styled. It helps me to take the current clothes I have and update them with even more of your beautiful clothing. .

I just wrote a book praising you for the show a few hours ago and praising Jennifer. But my words got lost here on my iPhone. So I’ll say I like Jennifer, she’s kind and speaks of the clothes the way you do… a pleasant manner. You looked great and I’m relieved you’re feeling so much better. I live all the techniques you talk about. On the neckline what is the more complicated method of reinforcing the seams around the head opening? I’m losing my hearing! I like these special techniques .
I’m a lively (at times) 73 and seeing you makes me happy. I’m lucky to get QVC 2 on my tv, Comcast doesn’t have it, but I believe they broadcast it live stream on the QVC website.
