Hi Louis. I am wondering if it is possible to shrink the little sherbert sweater easily by washing in warm water. I had to order a large instead of a medium as my size was sold out and I wanted it so bad (pink/orange combo)I just went for it! Will this cotton shrink easily?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Carmille,
I really don’t know. If the washing instructions ay “cold water”, you can bet it probably will shrink, but as I said, I really don’t know. Maybe some of the other ladies can advise you better. Why don’t you post your question on the Linea QVC Fashion Board. I am sure you will get answers.

      1. Carmille

Thanks Louis, appreciate the response. I will do what you suggest. I am so looking forward to your shows on July 31st. What a stellar collection! You are the best!

  2. Beano

Please tell us what the gold piece is underneath the gold chains in the new sneak peeks. It looks pretty fabulous.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think you are referring to the mannequin and it is fabulous. I had them made years ago when Anne Klein opened a store.

      1. Beano

Tucked inside the neckline of the white Kate shirt is a kind of gold breastplate that looks great. Is it part of the mannequin or a new piece of jewelry?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s the mannequin. I could never imagine doing a piece like that for QVC. First it would cost a fortune and second the only person that it would fit properly is the model the form was made from. The gold mannequin was first cast on a live person….it’s the same process like they use to make death masks. Then it is made in fiberglass and then sprayed in gold. Years ago Yves St. Laurent did a nude golden torso from a model named Veruska. I saw it at the Rive Gauche store in Paris….it was quite beautiful but totally unwearable.

Louis, I am in love with the white crepe blazer. When will it be presented? I have GOT to have it! I am kind of a white/ivory freak to begin with. I like those colors around my face. This jacket is a must for me due not only to the color, but because of the fabric and the built-in shape (not square) of the garment. Thank you Louis for bringing us your beautiful clothing at a more than reasonable price.

    1. Mary

      Hi Cathy,

I’m not Louis, but I can answer. The white crepe blazer you love is A221808. It was presented in February of this year, I think, and sold out almost immediately. Maybe Q will reorder?

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Thank you Mary…..you are absolutely correct….and it was the Feb. show, which I didn’t remember…..you’re good!

  4. Beano

Not asking questions about the jacket, just lining up to buy it.

    1. Sherry

      Me too!!!

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

Its A221808 now sold out. I hope the buyer reorders this blazer again!

        1. Inna

What she said… BTW I love this A221808 blazer. Thank you.

  5. Chris/Jazzmom

I bought the chili pepper and taupe bohos and I can say the stores have the chili pepper everywhere– from towels to dishes to clothing. The chili pepper is a beautiful shade of deep red and DH thinks that the color looks great on me. I will probably wear it to dinner out this weekend on our ‘date night’.

  6. nikki

    Louis,
I just rec’d the taupe and the cp boho and the pale olive kate shirt. All i can say is they are dynamite, the cp boho with the pale olive shirt is absolutely georgous. I cannot wait to try the taupe with black(especially the new leather jacket).THANKYOU again for such beautiful clothes

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear nikki,
I couldn’t be happier that you are pleased with everything

  7. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Louis – I just had to get back to you. My chili pepper boho arrived and you were so right! This is a great color for me! Thank you for your ever helpful guidance! 🙂

  8. Sherry

Hi Louis, will there be new colors in the knit skirt for the fall/winter season?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, and OLIVE is finally one of them……plus there will be an Every Need Rib Whisper Knit Essential shirt. This ENR is the same construction as the wool blend skirt.

      1. Sherry

        A whisper knit shirt?

        1. Kristen/spagal

whisper knit in a shirt sounds great!!!

            1. Julia

LOL! Now you have us all wanting a knit shirt (which I’d buy if you made one…I can just see it with a pointed collar, chest pockets, cuffs, should it have a shirt tail hem or a squared hem? Like your safari shirt/jacket it could be worn as a top alone or a soft jacket. Hmmmmm.) Think about it. : )

              Julia/Qulia

  9. designista

Oh Louis, I love the Chili Pepper boho and the way that it looks with the Linea silk/nylon Pomegranate tank! I only wish that I had a second one as a backup. Any chance that you will bring that tank back? I just counted and besides the Pomegranate I have 4 Black, 2 Espresso, 3 Wheat, 1 Jade, and 1 Yellow. I think the Pomegranate is well over 5 years old and still looks like new. After Black, it is the color I wear the most, and then usually with chino and black.

Can we have more Ikat prints from you? I just received this rug collection from a to-the-trade supplier and thought of you……I hope it stimulates your creative juices. I wear that Pomegranate tank with your multi-colored Ikats of a few years ago.
    http://www.amararugs.com/rug-collection-categories/category/21

It warms my heart to see you and Jac looking so happy on your travels. Did you plant tomatoes this year? The squirrels have devestated the Quavas again so I guess we are in for another cold winter.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear designista
I’m glad to hear you are enjoying your pomegranate tank. You must get the Chili Pepper shirt/jacket to complete your outfit. That is just how I have it in the “Sneak Peek”. The pomegranate tank was very slow to sell so I don’t think it will be coming back any time soon….go figure. Actually, wines in general seem to be slow. Out of all the colors I did l;ast fall the Aubergine was the slowest, and one of my favorite…..do women not like wine shades? It was one of my favorite colors and one that I think looks most flattering on most women.
I have many Ikat prints planned for spring but that is no guarantee they will be selected. Thank you for sending the inspirational pictures. I tried to make a copy but they didn’t turn out so well.
As for the frisky squirrel fur balls. They ate all of my tomatoes last summer and we had one of the warmest winters ever. My tomato plants are BIG, but very few tomatoes. I have fed them and taken off all of the unnecessary leaves to strengthen the plants, but so far it looks like the “Farmers Market” for me.My cucumbers and Basil are doing fine….the string beans are sloooooooooooow.
Enjoy your new purchases, but most of all enjoy your summer!

      1. Maria (Goldie 76)

        Louis,

As a “Winter,” I am especially fond of wine shades. Oddly enough, I just recently placed an order for your knit tank in — you guessed it – aubergine. I plan to use it as an accent piece with your solid olive garments. Another Linea Lady mentioned that she never liked olive until your fashions appeared. Ditto. You are Svengali-like in the way you pull us into your vision.

Shades with a dark undercurrent appeal to me. Gads, I hope that you don’t drop them from your palette.

      2. Barbara in Virginia

I LOVE the wine colors! And have an abundance of both your Augergine and Cassis. They are such an interesting compliment to so many other colors. But I love reds in general and always gravitate toward them. I also would love to have a pomegranate tank. It’s not a color I wear well right under my face, but in a tank the expanse of bare skin makes it wearable for me. I love it with ivory and black. Designista and and I are both designers and those of us who do that often look for something that is a bit off the beaten track. I think many look at a color without seeing how it works with other colors and ones they probably already have. Also a fan of the ikat. In a cool color like charcoal, please!

The pesky groundhogs here actually had the temerity to climb up my hanging basket containing a tomato plant and ate them hanging down from the hook :-). Critters….But we have a wonderful farmer’s market as well as generous friends with abundant gardens.

      3. Judi

        Hi Louis-
I’m another huge fan of the wine colors. I have everything you have brought to us in aubergine! One of my faves is the gorgeous suede & knit jacket from last Fall.
Aubergine, burgandy, cassis go so well with other colors, I almost think of them as a neutral. Very low key, yet classy looking. Another vote to continue this color line. I don’t have the pomegranate, but wish I had a chance to own it!
We finally gave in to the deer, rabbits, squirrels and other critters. Our floral and herbal plants are on the deck but we go to a wonderful, close by Farmers Market for the rest.
I was surprised that I was able to order the cashmere t-neck in espresso. Can’t wait for the navy cashmere!

        1. Julia

I love ythe aubergine and have all the sweaters in it. May go back and get the skirt if it is reordered this fall. It is such a sophisticated color. I have some of your cassis pieces and magenta as well. Your sense of color is fabulous.

  10. judith

Dear Louis, Please tell us if the new whisper knit turtleneck in mushroom will go with the herringbone suit? Mushroom can be so many different shades. I can’t wait for the new things. Judith

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Judith,
The mushroom turtleneck is a darker color, but looks very good with the stone suit. It picks up the color of the actual herringbone as apposed to the paler ground color of the suit. There will also be a matching mushroom pant in the months ahead can can give the jacket a longer wearing period for more northern climes.

      1. Sherry

Will there be “other” whisper knits in the mushroom color? I can keep a secret…

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

No, the mushroom will only be avail in the turtle neck. The turtle neck actually isn’t considered part of the essential group, even though it is an essential. The essential group of whisper knits was started after the turtle neck was already sold on air. The “essentials” are only sold through the Linea site. The only way you will see them is through my Sneak Peeks and when I use them to coordinate with other items that are being sold on air. The turtleneck always gets air time.

      2. Barbara in Virginia

Great to hear, Louis!! I love being able to streeeeeetch my clothes from season to season.

  11. Lynn

    Hello, Louis

Last night I received both of the new boho skirts: chili pepper and taupe. They are gorgeous! I especially love the new chili pepper color [so I will be buying the safari jacket and jewelry, too, in that color, when available]. I think I will wear that beautiful deep red color a lot. As insurance against the risk I spill something on this chili pepper boho at some point, LOL, I just ordered a second chili pepper boho! 🙂 Thank you again!

    Best wishes, Lynn

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Lynn,
I am so happy you like the colors. I knew when all of you got them home you would appreciate the depth and the life of the Chili Pepper color. The taupe is a terrific neutral and looks especially good with back….tanks for the summer and turtles for the winter.

  12. Rae

    Louis,
What are your thoughts about combining the python print dress in chili pepper with the new safari jacket in chili pepper? I already have the black brushed cotton jacket as you show in your sneak peek and the peacock is on the way. Would the black jacket work well with the peacock python dress? So confusing – which way to go?!? I’m trying to plot my buying strategy to get the most for my money but it is no small task when everything is so beautiful!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Rae.
I immediately thought of course, the CP shirt jacket will work with the CP python print dress, but just to be sure I tried then on my form. I LOVE them together! I put the shirt jacket over the dress and only buttoned the button at the waist……then tied the self belt……fabulous. This is a great way to wear something over the dress when you don’t want something too heavy but you know there will be a chill in the air and you are going to need something….or you’re at work and the short sleeves of the dress isn’t enough to protect you from the air conditioning. Besides all the practical stuff….I love the two fabrics together. For me, that’s a designer look.
Yes, the Black Jacket absolutely works over the peacock python dress. It’s all good!

      1. Sherry

Hi Louis, on that same note…does the straw shirt jacket work over the stone python print dress? I can see there are lighter colors, but are they the right ones???

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Dear Sherry,
I tried the straw shirt jacket over the stone dress and again, buttoned just the button at the waist and accessorized it with a brown Lizard skin belt…..BEAUTIFUL. The straw shirt/jacket and the stone dress look great together. Good suggestion!…………regards, Louis

          1. Sherry

            What she said…thanks

      2. Rae

        Dear Louis,
Thank you for your quick response! I was hoping these two items would work well together and having your ‘blessing’ in music to my ears. To read that the pairing of them is a designer look makes me think of something a special designer we all know and love often says – ‘who wouldn’t want to look like that?’ You have made me feel so special for taking the time to actually try the two garments together. You are the best! Thank you, thank you.

  13. Anonymous

    Dear Louis,

    Trust you’re well.
You mentioned in one post that you’ll be on the Q on 7/16 but the program guide lists you for 7/31. Will you have shows on both dates?

    Thank you.

    Birdie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

On the 7/16th day I have two appearances. They are not full hour shows. That is why my name isn’t listed. I will be on the morning show with Pat and Jane and then on PM Style with Lisa.

  14. Mary

    Dear Louis,

In the video for A215163, Brenda is wearing what I think are the J270116 chandelier earrings in gold. You’ve only shown them in gunmetal. Did Q order the gold version of these earrings?

    Thank you,
    Mary

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

They did not….only in the gunmetal, but all the beads are the same colors.

      1. Mary

Oh, Louis, I’m so glad to hear that. My shopping cart is way too full already.

One less pretty little thing to tempt me.

        Thank you,
        Mary

  15. Susie (aka Sammijo)

    Hi, Louis!

I’m having trouble placing the peacock in my mind’s eye of color – is it close to the lighter green of the background in the brushed cotton spruce leopard belted jacket? I love that jacket and reach for it in the fall/winter/spring more than I thought I would. And will there be a peacock turtleneck in whisper knit coming soon? Thank you so much for being so creative and yet classic with your designs.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The peacock color is similar to the ground color you are speaking about, but the peacock is a little deeper and more saturated. The peacock short sleeve crew neck will work very well with your jacket. I am not doing a turtleneck in the peacock color, but it would make a good turtleneck color!

  16. Mary

This is going to be some show. Thank you for the herringbone – I didn’t expect a 2nd color and I’m so loving the Olive! I think it will look like a completely different suit from the Stone color, and I’ve already ordered the Pale Olive shell.

And now that I’m mentally into autumn, I have a question. Has the Dark Mallard Blue been reordered in the Whisper Knit mock neck? I was slow in warming up to that color, but now it is one of my absolute favorites.

    Thank you,
    Mary

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I believe so. The color really has life but is still sophisticated, especially with black or charcoal grey.

  17. Terri

    Dear Louis:
I need some styling advice. What jacket would you recommend to wear with the navy embellished knit dress? I am leaving for a vacation (Alaska cruise) in two weeks and want to minimize my packing. Would the navy chain print be too much of a good thing? This dress will see me through on one of the “dress” evenings. Also, taking along several bohos and of course the maxi dresses, and the basic roma ponte knit dress in black. Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated!

    Sincerely,
    Terri (TexasMom1)

  18. Clark55

Gee Louis….Just when I thought I would allow my credit card to cool down a bit for your Fall/Winter offerings, you go and tease me with more beautiful Summer items that will be sooooo hard to resist. And that’s not including your beautiful new jewelry. I love your new scarf tops. The colors and pattern are so strikingly beautiful. I know I will enjoy including them in my yearlong wardrobe, here, in California.

    Clark55

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Clark55,
This group of clothing is perfect California dressing year round……where in Cal. do you live?

      1. Clark55

I live in beautiful sunny San Diego. You have many fans of your clothing line out here on the west coast.

  19. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

I have a question regarding A226254, your new scarf top. I adore it but I am having a VERY difficult time deciding which color to buy – they all are beautiful. It looks like the chili pepper has lots of purple in the design, the pale olive has Moroccan red, and the straw has gold. Are my assumptions correct? It is going to be very difficult to limit myself to only one!

    Thanks,
    Dariann

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The chili has purple, peacock and a curry color, the olive has a magenta, orange and a lime green and the straw is very soft with a pale gold, tobacco and a pale paprika….yes, it is going to be hard to choose only one especially for the Napa Valley! They are perfect for where you live and can be worn year round.

      1. Dariann

        Louis,

You are right, these tops fit my lifestyle in the Napa Valley. I’ll be ordering the chili pepper and the olive.

        Dariann

  20. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

Love the sneak peaks–can’t wait for the shows! Question: Will there be any whisper knit tops in the chili pepper coming this year? Thank you!

    Carol

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No, there aren’t any Chili Pepper tops in the whisper knit. If you own the Pomegranate whisper knit tank, it’s almost a perfect match.

      1. Carol in FL

Thanks, Louis. I don’t remember seeing a pomegranate whisper knit tank. It was probably presented before I became a Linea lady. Looking forward to the shows and thanks again for bringing us such wonderful clothes. You are so appreciated.

        Carol

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

A9399 was the style number and they were sold a while ago. There was the pomegranate, straw, yellow, espresso, and black……all of which I still show. It is very important to collect the tanks in every color because there are always clothes that they will be needed for. In Jan or Feb I told everyone to get the navy tank and that it would be very important. The new whisper knit essential cardigan will be in the same navy….so if you have it you will have the set.

          1. Carol in FL

Thanks, Louis. Yes, I missed out on that tank. However, I do have your tanks in navy, red, aubergine, mallard blue, olive, sand, and black along with an older assortment that I found on ebay, since I missed out on the original presentations. A navy cardigan–that will be great. I love collecting and coordinating your clothes. It’s so nice to be able to have things that go so well together. No more trying to find a match in the stores–now that’s an exercise in frustration! What did I do before I found you! Many thanks again.

            Carol

  21. Chris/Jazzmom

    Hi Louis,
Does the peacock jacket look good over the paisley boho skirt in black (A216531) from a year or so ago? And does the short sleeve sweater also in peacock look good with this skirt?
    Regards,
    Chris

  22. lois patrick

Wow, just saw SP#3–LOVE IT!!! Is the chili color more orange red or more blue red? Hope you had a wonderful 4th and enjoyed your hotdogs!

    Thanks.

    Lois

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It’s not a red orange, but it’s not blue either. I would say it’s a warm red as opposed to a cool red. It really is a spice red. My hotdogs were great!

  23. lois patrick

    Hi Louis,

One quick question. Are the large knot earrings in SP #2 Linea? Will they be in one of your shows? Absolutely love them.

    Thanks,

    Lois

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Lois, they are vintage Anne Klein, but one day a version they may be Linea.

  24. Jackie

I have a question on the new dress. Is the background black or navy?
I took some time to read your Paris notes. We are going in August and I will be taking some Linea max dresses with me for evening dinners. If I don’t dress up in Paris, where then, right?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Hi Jackie,
The Peacock and Chili Pepper are accented with Black. The Stone is accented with Espresso Brown. Have a great time in Paris!

      1. Jackie

        Louis, one more thing…
I have several, and love, the boho skirts. Please consider more tops that color match. It would feel like I have a new outfit. I will be looking for tops to match the olive and black skirt for upcoming fall and winter. Thanks.

  25. Susan (aka Carlytwila)

    Hi Louis,
I recently delved into Linea yellow (tiered skirt, peasant top, french cuff jacket) and was pleasantly surprised that this yellow works on me. I am wondering if the new yellow animal print jacket will work with the tiered skirt? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Susan,
Hope all is well! I tried the yellow jacket and yellow tiered skirt together and I did not like it. If was just not right. The jacket is paler and slightly more lemon. I’d like to say I loved it, but it was a miss. The leopard jacket looks best with white and black, i.e. Black tank, white pant.

  26. Cheryl G

    Louis:

Time just seems to fly by; the older I get the faster time goes by (unfortunately)!! LOL.

If my memory is correct, I believe in your first show that you mentioned that you were raised in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. I took note of that immediately since I was born and raised in New Jersey (Hawthorne) and knew people that lived in Lake Hopatcong and visited often.

    Cheryl

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Your memory is playing tricks on you. I was born in Brooklyn and moved to Long Island when I was three. Fifteen years later I moved to NYC. So I am a true New Yorker.

  27. Cheryl G.

    Louis:

Your denim jeans are the BEST I have ever purchased. I own two pairs of each color and was so looking forward to be able to purchase more. I also own the gorgeous matching jackets and they make an outstanding outfit. I have been purchasing your magnificent clothing since the day you started at QVC!! I hope you will be at QVC for many years to come.

Thanks for your beautiful items. I feel very special every time I wear any of your clothing.

    Cheryl

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Cheryl,
I’m happy you like the clothes….since the very beginning…wow, I can’t5 believe I’m , or should I say we are in our 13th year!

  28. Chris/Jazzmom

    Good morning Louis,
How soon will there be a decision on whether the denim items (jackets and especially the pants in regular and petite sizing) will be reordered?
Regards to Jac and the ‘girls’.
    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris, I really don’t know. I don’t know when the cut off date is for QVC to make those decisions. However, I do not think the pant is going to be reordered, but I’m not sure.

      1. Mary

What a shame. I have them in all 3 colors. After taking up the hem, they are the perfect pants. I’d have loved the chance to re-order.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Has it been out long? I’m in the middle of reading a bio on Coco Chanel and next a bio on Empress Maria Theresa, since we are going to Vienna. I think after that I will be ready for a mystery. I also have the Frank Langella book “Dropped Names” which Jac is pushing me to read. She just finished it and whats to discuss. I will definitely get “Who Killed Mona”.

      1. Beano

Thank you. Mona came out in April. The Hare With Amber Eyes by Edmund de Waaal. is a great book about Vienna.

        1. Thanks for the book recommendation, Beano, as we are also going to be in Vienna most of Sept. The last time we were there -35 years ago- reconstruction after the bombings in WWII was still very much in evidence. Much of the former Jewish Quarter is now restored so I hear. The Empress Maria Theresa was certainly a formidable and dominant ruler of her times. The current favorite in Vienna now, however, is the Empress Elizabeth or “Sisi” who has become somewhat of a legend, if an overly idealized one. A good bio of her and account of her times is “The Lonely Empress: Elizabeth of Austria” by Joan Haslip, a much more realistic account. You will see reproductions of portraits of “Sisi” all over Vienna, Louis! Many congrats on the publication of “Mona”, Beano!!!

  29. Maria (Goldie 76)

    Dear Louis,

I really combed through your QVC site on Sunday and happened upon a gorgeous “me” sort of top. It’s that python print faux wrap top (A219799). Since I saw the word “python,” and I absolutely abhor snakes, I always skipped over this top. As I have mentioned previously, I’m a relative newcomer to your clothing line, and so I had never even seen the top presented. On Sunday I watched the video and fell in love with the top. However, I loathe snakes so much that I won’t even consider putting a faux snake graphic near me. What do I want? I’d love that top in solid colors or another print. Any possibility of that, or is it a pipe dream?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Maria,
First, let me say, no one hates snakes more than me!! Ever since I was 3 years old and my brother chased me with a garden snake, I can’t stand the sight of them. Once, when I was about 9 years old, I was at Montauk Point and we had just gotten homer from the beach. As I was getting out of the car, a snake slivered over my bare feet…..I was catatonic! I have a zillion stories like that. The little devils always seem to find me. All that said, the patterns of Pythons are very beautiful and through out my career I have used the skins on shoes, bags, belts and clothing besides using their patterns on a varity of prints. Maybe you should try the print in blue or fuchsia where it looks more like a pattern and not so reptilian.
If you are still squeamish….yes, I will be doing the top in solids this Fall season, but I do think you are really missing out on something special….regards, Louis

      1. Maria (Goldie 76)

Oh, Louis. You poor thing! Those icky creatures have a way of finding you. I did wonder which color might disguise the look, but I am also weirdly superstitious. Somehow, the snake thing leaves me frightened. I am beyond delighted to know that the style will be returning. I just bet I’m not the only one who appreciates the elegance (and great camouflage) that a faux wrap offers. Yippee! They’re coming! And they’re not snakes!

        1. Sherry

Yippee!! for the solids from me as well…I seem to be a solids kind-of gal…although, this summer your maxi dresses in the prints are all that I’ll be wearing…just love them. Thank you, Louis, for all that you do.

      2. Yvette

Oh, I’m so happy to hear this! This top is another one of your designs that takes my straight up and down figure and gives me a shape. I already have the prints and so look forward to having some solids as well. Thank you, Louis!!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Let me add that this top in solid is not in the same polyester/span fabric. For the solid I chose to change the fabric to a Rayon/Span blend instead.I prefer it this top

          1. Sherry

If you prefer the rayon/span, then it must be beautiful. I’m looking forward to all the new fabrics that you have hinted at for the fall season. Already can’t wait for cooler weather; it’s 112 degrees today, and will continue to be in the 105-110 range for another 10 days or maybe more. Whew!!!

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

SHERRY! 110 degrees! you must be living indoors in air conditioning. It sounds so dangerous. Refresh my memory, what part of the country are you from? I’m also doing a long draped front skirt to match for a two piece dress look…..but these pieces are for my Nov. shows.

            2. Sherry

I’m in Dodge City, Kansas, SW part of KS…hot, dry, and windy. This is the hottest start to summer I can remember. It is a dry heat, but like they say, drink plenty of water and keep outdoor projects in the morning and late evening. You do get use to the heat to some degree (no pun intended), but after 102, that’s it for me. Just hope the electric bill will fit into the envelope.(LOL)

The maxi dresses have been my go-to items for weeks now…thank goodness for easy, lightweight fabrics and the flowy designs. I adore long dresses/skirts, so I’ll be watching for the draped front skirt and the faux wrap top. Thanks for the little sneak of an upcoming style.

  30. Mary

    Dear Louis:

I just wanted to give you an update about the curb link necklace that I returned to the manufacturer with your help.

They sent it back after a short time and it looks good as new. I’m so grateful for your help and wanted to thank you.

    Mary

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary, I am happy I was able to do it for you. I have a very good manufacturer and they are willing to fix anything that goes wrong. Sometimes when they are dipping the gold it can happen that a n area isn’t as well covered as the rest of the piece. I know this may be considered expensive for costume, but it actually isn’t for gold plate. If it were up to me I would have it gold plated again so this type of thing would never happen, but with the price of gold today, QVC would never approve of the price and I don’t think we would be able to sell the quantity needed. All that said…..I’m happy it turned out well.
      ……………….regards, Louis

  31. Cathy

Louis, Bravo on a great show this morning, despite some challenges caused by the planned stylist not being able to make it. I’m always blown away by your professionalism in organing everything the models are wearing. Despite the ungodly hour of the show, I set my clock and I DVRed the show, so I was all set. I was hoping the new colors of the Boho skirt would be introduced, but I guess I will have to wait until July. PLease continue to bring new colors in these classic skirts. I never stop getting compliments on the 6 or 7 I already have. It’s a summer staple of my wardrobe and, of course, some colors make it all year around.

Kudos to you for always bringing us your best.

  32. liz

Hi Louis, Can we have any more hints about whats to come in July?I think i am going through shopping withdrawl! Liz

    1. Sherry

Make that sneak peak withdrawal…LOL…can hardly wait to see what you have instore for us next.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Liz,
I will start posting “Sneak Peeks” soon. The show isn’t until the 31st of July so I didn’t want to show them too early and have it all seem anti-climatic by the time the end of July rolls around….more than a month from now! I have posted the two items that will be on the morning show on July 16th and I have just been notified that I have been “tentatively” scheduled for PM Style, with a new style, on the 16th too!….but that can change. The Sneak Peeks are coming and I assure you,I think it’s quite fabulous!…..I hope my Linea Ladies think so too!!…………….regards, Louis

  33. Rochelle

    Hello Louis!
I am interested in your upcoming taupe boho color. I
own items in PC sand,dk.khaki shirt jacket, khaki zipper trim jacket, and a fabulous vintage taupe suede jacket(A09480), which is a dark taupe.(elongated bib style with whip stitching detail-a real beauty and truly cherished) I do have your mocha boho, among many others also…any possible hint as to where the new taupe color will fall? Soft, dark and rich or in between? Thank You for making such beautiful clothing and teaching me to look at my closet with different eyes!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Rochelle.
It is so difficult to describe a color. It is a soft taupe. Very much like a dried cement color…not wet which is darker. It works perfectly with all the lace jackets I sold this spring…..it blends with the trim color. It also looks great with the tweed tank that is sold out, the one I showed with all of the lace jackets. It works beautifully with the new “Stone” herringbone, faux linen, unlined jacket which is coming at the end of July. The herringbone jacket with the tweed tank and the taupe Boho is very rich and refined looking……very European……very Armani in coloration. It is a WONDERFUL NEW NEUTRAL COLOR and I highly recommend it. It will work with a ton of things. I haven’t checked as I’m getting ready for the show but I think the other colors you described may be a little yellower than this taupe. It’s a real natural linen color.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

P.S……..I remember the suede jacket with the whip stitching well….Jac has it in Black, but the taupe was beautiful.

        1. Sherry

I’m in…sounds wonderful. Just love all the natural, stone colorations…so easy to work into the wardrobe. Thanks for the info.

      2. Rochelle

Thank you for such a wonderful description of the new taupe color. I have the tank and lace jacket and a very refined European/Armani look certainly isn’t hard to handle at all! I love taupe, all shades and tones are flattering on me. July will bring an exciting update to my Linea collection….have the chili pepper on WL. See you Sunday!

  34. enjay

    Hi Louis,

Speaking of pebble crepe … I can’t tell you how often I’ve been reaching for the pebble crepe tunics with pockets this summer. I have these in black, navy and coffee bean, and I find it’s the perfect top over pencil skirts, cigarette pants, skinny jeans, etc. This style of top is just so perfect, I’m hoping – will you be bringing this tunic in more colors for Fall? Or perhaps this same great silhouette in another fabric? (I’m stalking my size these days because I love it so much I want to order duplicates!)

    1. Kristen/spagal

I’m in the minority as far as my relationship with pebble crepe, but I’d love to see a tunic like that in another fabric…next year perhaps?

  35. Kate

Just wanted to let you know, Louis, that I appreciate your good taste and generosity more than I can say. I so enjoy wearing your fashions and have been steadily building a wardrobe that is so easy to care for and mix pieces together since I had the good fortune of finding you and your lovely wife. Thank you dearly. You are a true gentleman-very gracious and entertaining.I look forward to opening my packagaes with delight and can hardly wait to see what you come up with next. Cheers to creativity. Thank you for your devotion to your Linea Ladies.

    1. Sharon Santourian-Holman

Kate, you said it all. When I’m having a not so great day, I pick a Linea outfit and it just lifts my spirits way up! 🙂 I think of this blog and how helpful you and Jac are…Thank you ! Fabulous that you take the time for all of your Linea Ladies! :)Devoted indeed.

  36. Barbara C.

    Dear Louis,

May I have the item number for your Kate blouse? I think you said it is returning. Thank you!

  37. Maria (Goldie 76)

    Dear Louis,

Today, to usher in the summer season (my favorite since I’m a Leo like you), I am wearing your Medallion Scroll Print Knit Top (A199799) with your Pebbled Crepe Pull-on Skirt (A221804). I know I’m forcing things a wee bit with matching up the sand-colored skirt with the blue/green combo, but it’s working. Seems to bring out the buttery tones of the gold. Anyway, tons of compliments have come my way already. Your name is being mentioned as the designer, so your ears might be burning now. Now my question: Will you be doing more colors of your pebbled crepe skirt in the future? I’d love olive and chocolate brown as well as aqua. (I apologize so deeply for my reckless evaluation at an earlier date of your pebbled crepe skirt; my disappointment in the color terracotta should not have colored my thoughts. I’m such a huge fan of your pebbled crepe creations. It is so tasteful and rich-looking.) Thank you for making feel assured that I am appropriately and tastefully attired.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Maria,
I doubt that either of the pebble crepe skirts will be reordered.

      1. Maria (Goldie 76)

Whoa, Nellie! I’m thunderstruck! Honestly, I’m dumbfounded by this news. I guess I just don’t understand the fashion game and QVC buyers. All I can say is that it is a shame that we won’t see the pebble crepe again, much less in more colors. If there is a quality product, that is ist. 🙁

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Dear Maria,
Let me be clear….I am continuing with the pebble crepe, just not in those styles.

          1. Maria (Goldie 76)

Whew! Thank heavens pebbled crepe is coming back.

Don’t want to bore you, but people are continuing to come up to me to tell me how much they like your Gold Medallion Scroll Print top. I mean, they are just stepping up and blurting it out. It’s the first time I’ve worn it, and I must say, it is having a heck of a good time.

      2. Cathy Dassler

Wow, that’s especially disappointing as I missed the straight skirt in black due to beIng on an airplane. Then I missed the 2 tier black skirt. because Q sent me the order and the skirt was missing, sold out, no wait list … And now no reorder?!?
I so wanted to wear that with the white windowpane sateen jacket, sigh … I so love those jackets, glad I got that in all 3 colors 🙂

Looking forward to Teals, Peacocks and Chili Pepper !

Cathy OUT of PA, in VA putting “break in” miles on my new truck 🙂

  38. njlady

Thanx for the info – but – i couldn’t get the thread through or manipulate fabric- I thought i would make a hole so i had to cut
    because it looked bad
it was on upper arm sleeve so I am hoping nothing more will happen.
Its such a great top – are you going to make in other colors
    I have Black & white
would look super in a rich grey

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’d like to add colors, but the Q has to reorder it first. Is the sage not your color? It really is a terrific safari color.

  39. njlady

    Hi Louis – Help
I just noticed two pulls – snags on the georgette shirt & tank (which I love)
Should I cut thread or try to pull through????
Don’t want to make worse – Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Never cut the thread if possible try to pull fabric and try to manipulate the thread back into place or, as you said, try to pull through to the back. I am assuming you are talking about the crinkle georgette safari shirt with the two pockets and matching tank. That’s not an easy fabric to snag.

  40. Shari

    Hi Louis,
I was just watching the video of th Boho skirt. What is the top that Brenda is wearing with the pink skirt?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Brenda is wearing the A222542, in the perfectly pink color., It is the exact same crinkle georgette as the Boho skirt.

  41. Kate

    Hi Louis,
I was looking at the website and stubled upon some items that are no longer available, but I hope you are able to bring them back-the trenchcoat and polka dot top [A199261]. The black and hot pink and the black and white are so much fun!
    Fond regards,
    Kate

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

You stumbled way back….that ruffle blouse has been discontinued for a long time and the trench isn’t being continued either.

  42. Janet Rae

    Good Morning Louis,
Help! I just found out that my terrific son and his fantastic girlfriend are getting married next month, July 16th, in Napa, CA. The wedding will be outdoors in the late afternoon in a vineyard. What should I wear? Any suggestions or advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated! I started collecting your designer pieces a little over a year ago and love everything that you do!! They fit well even if I am a little hippy. I feel so good when I am wearing your clothes! Thanks so much! Looking forward to any words of wisdom you could share!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

First…. NAPA is going to be beaurtiful…..WARM.Is it formal or casual? Since I don’t know what you own it’s hard to give advise. If you own a Boho that will be perfect for the Napa Valley……pretty sandals….high, tea cup or flat, depending on what you can wear. a simple top and fun jewelry like my Byzantine necklaces and cross with the drop earring will dress any outfit up. I have to know what you own in order to put something together. Do you own any of my print skirts? Do you want short or boho length? HELP ME….to…..HELP YOU

      1. Janet Rae

Thank you! I have 2 Boho skirts. 1 black and 1 brown. I also have your teal dress from this spring. Would the green lace jacket work with that? I have 2 of your maxi dresses. The black and cream print and the Greek brick red/orange patterned dress. I also have your navy floral print skirt with the navy top. I think that a dress/skirt would work best. You are so kind to help me out. We just found out about the wedding so our time is limited. Also I have the white jeans and jacket and the coral jacket and the coral top. All of my other pieces are more for fall or winter. BTW I love your clothes! Thanks again!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

If you already have the A224716, dress in the peacock [teal] you’re set. The A223660, bolero is avail in the reef green in size M, XL and 1x. If any of those work for you it is perfect over the dress…..if not maybe you can find a shawl, a pashmina in a beautiful color that will work with the dress.
Another idea is the sequin cowl tank in the black and gunmetal with the black boho and some pretty jewel or metallic sandal. A black or color gauzy shawl…..also the gunmetal or antique gold top with the black boho or the skirt with a solid top and some jewelry would also work for the mother of the groom….who is aloud to be a little dressier…..as long as you are not dressier than the bride.

          1. Janet Rae

Great! I think I will order the bolero! That sounds perfect! I may take the boho along with one of those tops just in case! I will let you know how it works out. Thanks for the advice. The bride will be wearing a beaded gown. So the Peacock dress should be a terrific choice. Thank you so much! You are so kind to share your knowledge!!

  43. Janet Rae

Good Morning Louis, Help! I just found out that my fantastic son and his terrific girlfriend are getting married next month, July 16th in Napa, CA. I need to look good at the afternoon, outdoor wedding. I started collecting your designs a little over a year ago and just love everything you do!!! Everything looks terrific and fits well. Thank you so much for making great clothes for those of us that are a little hippy. Any advice or suggestions would greatly be appreciated!

  44. Kristen/spagal

Hi Louis! Back from a wonderful Honeymoon and I “blended” into Mykonos in the Greek Maxi. Loads of compliments! (wore the brown in Dubrovnik). Sadly we didn’t make it to the restaurant in Venice you had suggested, but had lunch at a cafe looking out on the water towards Murano. Still suffering jet lag, but thinking ahead to your peacock jacket coming up. Will that be in July? And is the teal short sleeved sweater a match for underneath? Wanted to be sure as I already have the items ready to order. And if you would share anything else you may have coming up in that color..I promise not to tell 😉 Kristen/Spagal

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Kristen,
Happy to hear your honeymoon trip was a success……you hear so many horror stories about lost luggage and no reservations. Yes the peacock and the teal are matches and the color is deep and rich and saturated…..it really is beautiful. There will be a python print V-neck 3/4 sleeve dress in the peacock color that also looks sensational with the jacket. Something you could wear almost all year.It will be on sometime in July. I think they may put it on the Morning Show or PM Style, but nothing is set yet. I will keep you all informed.

      1. Kristen /spa

Thanks! Sounds like that’s my color for Fall this year!

        1. Carol

I agree that the fall colors sound beautiful–light olive, teal, peacock, mushroom, chili pepper! Yes.

Thank you for giving us a little peek into the future. Am I wrong, or did you say there was going to be other new colors of the pearl necklaces besides navy and pink?

Can’t wait until they start shipping.

          crdlb

  45. vicki

    Hi Louis

I really like the black lace tunic so “chic” and I already have the leopard print jacket in lavender might have to go for another color.. I have 2 questions for you

you hinted that there would be pants to go with the new tank with the black specks that I wear under the lace jacket ..will those be available soon?

Also I have your boho skirt in the mocha.. I am a pear shape and looking for ideas what to wear with this. I even when back and looked at the video and saw the black georgette shirt and tank matched with it and a belt which looked great. I own that shirt in white and black ,,:) . any suggestions for tanks? I had thought a shirt/tank the same shade perhaps with a belt might work.. I am just leary of a huge contrast thinking it will make me look too “hippy” and I don’t mean 70’s flowers in my hair hippie 🙂

would appreciate any suggestions.. still waiting for byzantine cross necklace..hope you are having a wonderful summer and thanks for helping me look “smashing” !! I have been wearing your wide leg pants and continue to get compliments .. absolutely love them ..plus they are so comfortable !!

    Vicki from Minnesota 🙂

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Vivkie,
The pant is coming on my July 31st show. It is a very fine herringbone and it is almost the exact color of the fleck sweater. It’s an unlined pant and looks exactly like LINEN, but it’s 100% polyester…..you would never know it. I know many of my Linea women are going to be happy when they find out this pant is coming SIZED, not sml.
The mocha skirt looks good with any king of tailored shirt….like my Kate or Robyn shirts, and if you can wear them belted that’s great. My faux de Chine safari jacket in either the navy or white looks good with the mocha. There really are so many things that will work with the mocha skirt and I will have some new things in July. Is the mocha the only color you own in the boho skirts?

      1. vicki

Oh no!! love that skirt… I also have black ..and I have the mosaic skirt too. those skirts just make me feel good.. but with the black and mosaic skirt I put on a black tee or peasant blouse that hangs a bit longer . I guess with the mocha I have been afraid to venture out of my comfort zone… always so happy with your designs in my world there is designer LOUIS DELL OLIO and then everyone else!! 🙂 I need a bigger closet!! OK so I have the safari jacket.. will try that and I have I think the Kate shirt too.and just ordered the mosaic blouise in the brown pattern… will try with belt to see how they look also…So happy to hear about the pants..really looking forward to those!!

thanks Louis .. Have a great evening!!

        Vicki 🙂

  46. ROMA

louise please please bring back A222262. i wasn’t able to get one and have been waiting for months on back order!!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

From what I understand an additional order was placed some time ago and the dresses are due sometime in July. If you are on wait list or back order you will get it, but not until sometime in July. I don’t know when in July….it could be the beginning, middle or end…..Sorry, but that’s the best information I have.

      1. ROMA

I LOOK FORWARD TO JULY! LOVE YOU LOUIS!! THANK YOU!

  47. Donna Slade

Dear Louis, Will you be reordering any of your maxi dresses: A223658, A222262, A224712? I was lucky enough to purchase one dress and I love it! I would definitely buy all three styles in several colors, but they are sold out. My one dress fits me so well and I love your clothing! Please ask QVC to order more quantity of your clothing because most of the time everything sells out. It is so frustrating. Thank-you. All the best to you and Jacque! Donna from Florida

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Donna, the only dress that was reordered for this season was the maxi dress in the “South Seas Floral Print”. The one that came in black/ivory, purple/ivory and chartreuse/ivory. They should be here next month. If the others are reordered they will not be here until next year.

  48. Maria (Goldie 76)

    Louis,

Will you be creating the 3/4 sleeve scoopneck sweater (A221796)again — and in new colors? Why do I ask this on a June day? Because my office, like many public buildings, is frigid for my taste, and I am, at this moment, wearing the sweater in blue. Because it has such a soft and smooth texture, it is a pleasure to wear on a coolish almost-summer day. It is still comfortable on even warmer days. If I had more colors, I would have more options for staying warm in a fashionable way. I just loooove this sweater. It’s a beaut! Hope it comes back in other hues.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Maria,
It will be weeks before I know what items will be reordered from last spring….so, at this point I don’t know.

  49. Sandi

    Dear Louis,
I had left you a message about the hoirseshoe closure for my suede jacket and you never did get back with me after you said the manufacturer could supply the closure for me. Would appreciate it if you could get back with me on that. Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sandi….I did leave you two messages. I don’t know why you didn’t get them. My manufacturer does have the closures and wants to know where to ship them…………regards, Louis

      1. Anonymous

thanks ever so much. I really dont want to leave my address on here. Is there a way to get in touch with u? I can leave my email on here. Sandi

      2. Sandi

Dear Louis, I am still waiting to hear from you about how to get the address to the manufacturer. I did leave my address for you in facebook messages cause I had no other way to leave it. Thought about leaving it here but that is a bit risky.. Looking forward to being able to wear my jacket again!!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Sandi,
If you don’t want to leave your address here. I’m not sure how I can have it sent to you. Does your husband have a business address we can send it to? I did not see anything on mt face book site, but as I said I’m not great with face book. I did look in messages and there wasn’t anything there. Tell me what to do and it will be done………Louis

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

        Dear Sandi,
I have written your address down and I will delete your post.

      2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sandi, I have written your address down and have deleted your post

        1. Sandi

          thanks I appreciate it.

        2. Sandi

          Dear Louis,
I just got my closures for my suede jacket. Thank you ever so much. I am eternally grateful for all your help

  50. Kate

    Hi Louis,
I am a nouveau Linea Lady and stealthily, my wardrobe is growing with amazing Linea styles. I have so many new favorites! I heard on an old design’s video that you did a hot pink trench. I love my hot pink with stark white trim jacquard jacket and the trench you mentioned sounds incredible. I hope you bring it back!
Also, I wonder if there is any way I could get a couple of the large pearl buttons from your lovely blazer? I should have seen that they were loose, but did not notice and have no idea where I lost them in my travels. Many thanks.
    Kate in CANADA

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Kate,
As I said to another Linea Lady….the buttons are all made to order as they are my design and are exclusive to the Linea label. If you let me know how I can reach you I will see what I can do…..if anything. I am assuming you are talking about the button with the gold rim and the pearl center….regards to you up in Canada!

      1. Kate

Thank you, Louis. I really appreciate it. I will give you my address on a facebook message.

  51. Mary

    Dear Louis,

I love looking at the vintage Anne Klein jewelry on ebay, and I see a lot of pieces with a Celtic influence. Was it a love of the design, or do you have some Irish ancestors…?

By the way, I wore the A198823 jacket in Hot Pink to work today – what a gorgeous jacket – so feminine.

Thank you for all the days you have made me feel pretty.

    Mary

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Mary…..I am 100% Italian, but I appreciate all design, especially those designs that are special and specific to a certain country, culture or people.I have always been fascinated with anything Celtic. The really old and beautifully designed pieces are magnificent.

  52. Richard

    Hello Louis
There was a pair of woven leather slip-on shoes in both brown and black that you must have done a decade or so ago. I liked them so much i bought (at least) four pairs… but sadly they are all now frayed and the heel pieces cracked from global travel. Do you know of any place that could make more of these for me? Or whether you might do the same model again?
    many thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Richard,
Mens shoes? That was a loooooong time ago. I am no longer in the mens business, but I do know of a fantastic place in Port Chester, N.Y. They will repair hand bags, shoes, belts etc……all kinds of leather goods, and he will also make handbags, belts and shoes, jackets, pants and skirts…..all in leather or suede. They man who owns the store is a true artisan and people from all over come to have him “save” there cherished positions. He will copy a “Kelly” bag in alligator perfectly. He is NOT inexpensive and I have no idea what he would charge to copy your shoes. If you are interested I will send you the info.

      1. Richard

if you know a similar place anywhere in Europe (or Manhattan) that might be easier for me! but i will take the address of the fellow in Port chester and see if he can re-create the shoes i treasure so much!
        thanks

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Richard…..I am very sorry but I don’t know of any other person who does what he does and isn’t a manufacturer.
The name of the store and other info is:

          OCCHICONE

    Dear Louis,

I hope you and Jac are well. While showing the v-neck printed maxi, you mentioned that new beads were coming in red and in brown. I hope we don’t have to wait forever:-) any word on when we will see them?

    Love,
    Celia

      1. Celia

July seems like a long time away!

          1. Chris/Jazzmom

Good morning Louis– on a similar note- the multi gemstone necklace in the 48″ length is still on waitlist only. Any idea when this item will be back in stock for us to receive?

  54. Nancy

I have purchased several of your blazers with the gold linea buttons. I don’t wear much gold, I’m more of a silver person. Is there any possibility of doing the buttons in silver? I’d be happy to purchase them separately.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The buttons can come in all metal color, however they are all made to order and at the moment there aren’t any avail. in silver….but I may have a jacket in Jan. with silver buttons……Do you like silver buttons on all colors or just certain colors?

      1. Kate

I love silver buttons with any colour. I have stretched with many of your styles to wear gold, but my comfort is really with silver and cool tones. I am enjoying the bathing suit trim tee shirts. Just saying

        1. Carol

I think it would be wonderful if we could purchase spare buttons so we could change them out ourselves on outfits we would like to have silver or gunmetal buttons. I love the pea jackets with the gold buttons, but I would love to turn one of the colors into a silver button version. I might even buy multiples of the same color jacket so I could customize.

      2. Nancy

The colors that I prefer to wear and are more flattering for me work better with silver than with gold.

      3. Sharon Santourian-Holman

Well, I’m a gold button lover.:) Thought I’d post, just saying. It would be very cool to be able to purchase buttons, unlikely that would happen, but interesting concept.

      4. ninjasmom

I also prefer silver.I have very dark hair and pale skin,it seems to go better with my coloring.I often change the buttons on jackets and sweaters. If anyone is looking for a specific gold button.let me know.I have a box of them!

      5. Both silver and gold for me! I tend to wear silver more during the warm weather months, but love gold when it is cold. Being able to buy extra sets of buttons is an interesting idea!!!

      6. Judi

The gold buttons are the finishing touch for my gold jewelry….love them!
I also wear silver jewelry and would appreciate a garment or two with silver or gunmetal buttons.
I’d love to buy a selection of your buttons separately!
        Thank you for asking.

      7. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. What about a two-toned silver and gold button—silver center with gold rim, perhaps–that might satisfy everyone (or perhaps no one—but I’m just tossing out the idea)!

Loving the new Lemon Animal Print Blazer…I already have it in Lavender, Turquoise and White…plus I have the Animal Safari jacket in all four colors—Perfectly Pink, Tan, Blue and Kiwi…I have been an animal print girl all my life—my sisters tease me and say I have more animal print than Siegfried and Roy…but what can I say…I just love it, and I thank you so much for always bringing it to us in such wonderful quality and style.

        1. Sherry

          I think two-tone is a great idea.

  55. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

There is a blog on QVC requesting silk and linen fashions from you. Sure hope the powers-that-be are listening!

    Dariann

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Dariann,
TPTB read everything. Doing linen is a major problem. Good linen and good linen blends are very pricey and I know the women who want linen garments, would settle for nothing less, especially if they are buying E. Fisher. The more a garment cost the less units are purchased….the less units…then factories don’t want to make it and charge a surcharge with makes the garment even more expensive. Then there is the matter of…..how many women are going to spend over $150 for a linen jacket or $80 for a linen pant? Will 600 to 800 women buy them…..so far the numbers haven’t proven it. There are complaints when a leather or suede jacket is over $120. I have a gorgeous LEATHER and Knit combo jacket coming this Oct….we’ll see. Even the silk blouses I have done in the past have never had a reorder whether they were washed silk or otherwise. The demand is just too small for QVC to consider it. I have fought but in the end to do this type of merchandise there has to be more than 200or 300 or 400 women who will buy……that doesn’t come close to our minimum purchase. The only time I had a reorder on a silk shirt was years ago on the “equipment” blouse and the “jockey shirt”. That is when silk was inexpensive and China was promoting silk…..keeping the price low and the duty low.The shirts were under $45. That is no longer the case. I would love nothing better than to do some fabulous silk blouses. That said, to do a quality silk where it isn’t flimsy and see thought would make the blouses super expensive….No one wants a cheap silk. As of now I have to say, you will have to buy your linen and silks from other resources. On a positive note…..I can say this fall we have some beautiful and exciting new quality fabrics coming. I have seen all of the first samples and many of the first production fittings and I am very happy with the way things are coming ouy. The prices are definitely higher, but extremely reasonable for what they are…..regards, Louis

      1. LauraL

        Hi

Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us for the fall.

        Laura

      2. enjay

Hi Louis – guess I’m one of the “linen girls” who’s willing to pay more for a great linen garment. I adore linen in the summer, and I’ve found that a quality linen lasts for years and years – well worth the initial investment.

I also love your silk from past years. My favorites are a luscious long cream silk tunic, and those fantastic little silk blouses with the tie – I have a black, fawn color and lilac color. I wear these constantly, have them dry-cleaned, and honestly they look like new. I’m hoping that some day you can bring us more. In the meantime, looking forward to some great fall fabrics!

      3. judith

Dear Louis, Is there any possibility of bringing back the Roma Ponte fabric? I know you said it was becoming too costly, but maybe QVC would reconsider. Thanks, Judy

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          Dear judith,
It wasn’t QVC who did not want to bring back the Roma Ponte. They were all set to reorder certain styles. It was the fabric manufacturer who refused to make it again. It seems that when they were knitting this certain yarn there were lots of damages and there fore lots of loss. They had to keep remaking it to get the amount we asked for. They said it was too much trouble. I keep looking for new Ponte knits but the ones I like are expensive. We are truing some new ones this coming fall.

      4. I agree that a quality synthetic is preferable to a cheap natural fiber, most of which contain a lot of sizing that is gone after the first cleaning or wash. Not to mention inferior dyes, very short fibers, and less than crisp printing. That said, I am very happy that I have a nice collection of silk, linen, cotton, and WOOL, which I seem to need for the winter months. And am delighted that the cashmere and silk turtle neck has been reordered in new colors to add to my collection! :-).

  56. Maria (Goldie 76)

Louis, what a tease you are! I’m home ill today, and I swear, when I looked at your QVC site very early this morning, I did not see the PRECIOUS BEYOND COMPARE “silk blend elbow sleeve sweater” (A00283) that now taunts me because, according to the site, it is no longer available. I have never seen this intriguing little number before. It is very attractive and I hope that it can make a return to your fashion line. It does not deserve to go the way of “last clicks” items. It looks classic to my eye!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, that was a beautiful sweater, b ut as you can see it did not sell out. The whisper knit feels just as good.

      1. Maria (Goldie 76)

But will the style have a rebirth? I love the whisper knit, but I would like it in this charming style. Once before I wrote something to you, and I believe it is true. You offer your ladies a classic look, but some versions of that look suit some of us, while other versions suit the others. Quickly coming to mind are your absolutely gorgeous floral print tiered maxis of this season for which someone recently was wise enough to give you a public accolade. The designs on those skirts are worthy of being framed! You can drown in their beauty. But can I wear them well? Gads, no! I can only admire them online and on others. Perhaps the cutie that is “A00283” suits just some of us. Maybe that’s why it did not sell out. At the time you were selling this, I was not a purchaser from QVC; otherwise, I would have owned this sweet little number.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Well Maria…..there is a version of that sweater planned for Jan. However the sample isn’t even here yet so I have no idea what it looks like, how much it cost or if the buyer even wants it…..so keep your fingers crossed.

  57. Clark55

Louis….Will you be showing any sneak peeks for your upcoming show in June? I’ve been drooling waiting for some hint of your new item(s). Thanks again for your wonderful fashions.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes….it’s only 2 pictures and one is the leopard print reorder which everyone seems to know about already and the new piece is just a fun summer piece to wear as a beach cover-up, or with a tank and leggings. It can even be worn with a tank and pencil skirt for work and in the winter, if one wanted to. They could wear it with a Turtle neck and pants….Now what is it?

  58. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Laura, The waist whittling sweater will be coming back in black plus two new colors. That will be in a few months so I not say what the colors are just yet.

    1. LauraL

That is great news. I am a very happy lady.

Thank you for getting back to me.

  59. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi Denise, Yes the colors are coming back plus perfectly pink and navy. I will let everyone know when they are avail to buy.

  60. Denise

I so love your designs, Louis! I’m wondering (hoping!!) whether you will be able to bring your faux pearl necklaces back to QVC? I was only able to purchase the green strand (stunning!) but would love to have other colors as well.

  61. LauraL

    Hi Louis,

I had a question as to whether A210360 the “Waist Whittling” Sweater was re-ordered for the fall. If so is it returning in the original colors or dare I hope additional colors.

    Thanks

    Laura

  62. Gail

I want to compliment you on the artistry in design and color of your floral print maxi skirt. I bought the coral and the navy. They were a bit too large at the waist, but I decided to fix them myself instead of exchanging them because I thought they would be sold out, which they were. Very seldom do I think that I must have a particular item, but this was one of them. It makes me happy to wear them.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Gail……Happy is GOOD!I think these are the prettiest prints I have done and I have not taken the skirts out of my studio…..they are really feel good prints.

  63. Cathy

    Hi Louis and Jac,

Just wanted to say “THANKS!”. Walter and I just returned from our 3 week 41st anniversary trip down to Florida and back, with our silver vintage travel trailer zipping along behind us, and our 4 year old grandson, his parents and their little travel trailer in front of us. A grand time was had by all, and many a Linea garment was riding along in my cedar wardrobe (yes, in the trailer; it’s vintage :). We were all so foot sore, but one night we all got dressed up a bit, gathered everyone together, and went dancing to our favorite performer, Elliot Dyson, at the Port Orleans Hotel. My little grandson loves music and dancing, and is already a friend of “Mr. Elliot”. I wore my Black/Ivory Floral Maxi Dress with chunky black onyx, gold and smoky topaz beads, a matching bracelet and a big bold gold lucite bangle … also found a great ivory cardigan with a little slub in the weave, a perfect match to the dress fabric! Dancing the evening with your husband of 41 years … wonderful … dancing in a pretty Linea dress with your little grandson … PRICELESS 🙂

Thanks again, Cathy in PA; on the way to California in the morning, with same dress, flowered top, lace jacket and more :)))

Louis…I received the maxi skirt in all three colors. I orderede XL because
that was the siz I got in the Boho skirts. The waist is way larger. I love
them so and wanted to xchange them for a large but they only shoe xs and small.
will you be getting more in stock? Also the scoopneck raglan is too big will that be coming back?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Rita,
We are finished making anything from spring this year. The factories are all producing pre fall and fall……so to answer your question, no, there is nothing else coming in from the factory. Since the waist measurement on the floral skirt seems to be larger for all sizes maybe someone who has the size you need will return it because it was too big for them. The only advise I can offer would be to go on wait list for the size you need. Same for the scoop neck raglan sleeve. The customers should have decided by now if they plan to keep the skirt and sweater. It does take a while for QVC to process all of the returns they get and to process them back to the wear house and system. The skirt definitely ran larger than the boho. Unfortunately, I was not aware of this at the time of the show or I would have said to size down. I hope it all works out to your satisfaction. I have also recommended to bring the skirt to a tailor or seamstress and have them just tighten the elastic without altering the skirt. It is a simple and easy remedy.

      1. rita donovan

Thanks for your quick reply. I love the skirts and will hold onto them
but will keep checking to see if anyone returns a large. I can make do with the skirts but the “scoopneck” is too big. Just love your line and love you too. Looking foward to seeing you again and when will that be?
