Hi, Louis, Your show was lovely yesterday. I enjoyed it from beginning to end, and I am enjoying your clothes. I found out about you on Qvc from a friend of mine who dresses beautifully. All your people seem so nice. I have a question about putting two items together. I purchased the CP roll tab button front shirt with belt this summer. I absolutely love it, from the length, to the shape, to the fabric and the color. I hope you will do this style again. Do you think this shirt would look nice with the CP python dress, or is it too light either in color or fabric? I also have the brushed cotton blazer in black. Would that work better? Thanks a lot.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Eileen,
They will both look great with the CP python dress….Welcome and enjoy!!

  2. Sheesh

Great show, Louis. You seemed quite pleased…it was exciting. The Linea Ladies are up in arms again about lack of quantity—including me. The Petite Walnut pants in large were gone at midnight and therefore no Walnut ensemble for me. Of course, I did get 15 new pieces (including doubles of the Black and Tarragon pants) so don’t cry for me! Louis, my philosophy is to buy whatever I can while I can as you and I are the same age and I am retiring when you retire! And when that day comes, I will have the most stunning wardrobe for the rest of my days—that’s the plan. Meanwhile, I am stalking the Q site for the new necklaces….

    Love to you and Jac…..Sheesh

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Sheesh,
I wish I could tell you when the jewelry will be avail, but I have no answer you. I know it has all been delivered. ……now it’s u to QVC to process it and get it on the Linea site. If I had to guess…..I’d say two weeks the most….at least I’m hopeful!

  3. Mary

Great show – If I tuned in without knowing anything about qvc and saw those clothes, I’d think, that’s a place I’d like to shop. The clothes were simply beautiful.

  4. Debbie M

Thank You Louis for such a wonderful show. I have several items out for delivery today! Tweed jackets, tarragon blouse and 4 WK pants. I can’t wait. Congratulations on all the sellouts. Let the new sneak peeks begin…LOL

  5. enjay

Louis, fantastic show. I’ve learned my lesson and grabbed my size in the WK pants at the crack of midnight … before it sold out at 12:05! Also ordered the black and walnut sweaters to wear with the feather print pleated skirts, and the black leather jacket to wear with just about everything I own. And – because confession is good for the soul – I also caved and got the persimmon and blue mosaic cardis, because they were just so darn pretty. I needed some basics this time around … and fell in love with some “specials”and this whole group screamed “Fall” to me! Can’t wait to get them all.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Enjay….I hope you are happywith everything when it arrives! Enjoy…

  6. Carol

Thank you for such a wonderful show and wonderful fall collection. It’s still a while until it’s fall weather here, but when it arrives, I’m fully prepared. You know the drill: we want larger quantities, more colors, and unicorns.

    Love you, Louis!

    crdlb

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Unicorns is right. When Jac and I were in London on this last trip, we visited Winsdor Castle. In a glass were two very LONG, stitck straight horns. The label said “Unicorn Horns”! For all of your requests I wish I could make them come true….but….it’s totally up to QVC what quantities are ordered and how many colors……….My manufacturer would love produce and sell larger quanties to them, but again, it is not our decision.

  7. margo Ducane-Windsor

Hi Louis, what a wonderful show yesterday. I stared to order things in your show at Midnught to make sure I got the right size and colour. For once QVC gave us the show that your so rightly deserve. The host was the best I have seen working with you and not taking over your show. I keep up with your blogs as others do so I know what and when I can expect your wonderful creations and budget accordingly. I love EVERYTHNG, but I stick to my Budget. I so look forward to your October show and your NEW Jewelry. Much Love,

    Margo

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Margo,
one of the reasons I know my line is successful is because from show to show season to season, year to year you can add just a few pieces and after a while have a beautiful complete wardrobe. For most people who do have a budget, I believe this is the best kind of collection to buy. You never have to worry about missing out on something because eventually, there will always be something to take it’s place. I hope you enjoy the thing you purchased.

  8. Ann

I’ve been searching for the bead necklaces, J271862, and pin with no luck. Any idea when they may be available?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m hoping the beads will be avail in at least two weeks. The pin is slatted for Nov.

  9. Billye

    Louis,
Is there a chance the leather blazer with knit ribbed trim in black, will return anytime soon? (Item A228554) I missed the presentation and I am heartbroken! LOVE all the new items; especially the long sweater, tweed blazers and the new dress! Gorgeous!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Billye, I’m afraid that what we presented was the final quantities. You never know, someone may return on for what ever reason. Go on waist list and 9 out of 10 times you will get what you want.

  10. LauraK

Just wanted to thank you for the inspiring styles and designs you bring to us. I’m fascinated by the Printed Medalion sweater and anxiously wait for its arrival. Your attention to detail is very much appreciated. As a 5’9″, 2x, your clothing fits like a dream and never fails to bring me compliments. Thank you for a wonderful September show.

  11. DeLois

What a wonderful show today. I ordered way too many items and am anxiously awaiting arrival. My goodness, if it were not for this blog, I would have not gotten anything as by the time one can find out what to order they are gone. I thank you for giving us advanced information so we can order early and figure things out. QVC needs to order more product. The average customer does not have a chance ……..Thanks, Louis…… I love your explanations and the way you put things together… very helpful.

  12. debby

When will the blue crew neck cardigan in a medium come back ? Love your clothing and have been waiting for this one A221807

  13. Beano

The situation with the wk pants was disgraceful. How could they have been ordered in such limited quantities that they wold out immediately?

    1. Toni Fisher

Dear Beano: I called Customer Service and complained and I asked them, how come one WK pant in Tarragon was “sold out”, yet the black WK pant was waitlisted. They told me with a top designer, they only order a small amount so it goes fast – I told them everybody would make more money and have happy customers IF they ordered more of Linea, and cut Graver and Denim & Co. They did not have an answer. Yet, they will order a lot of Jennifer Hudson and K-Dash which I can’t stand. They make me sick.

  14. Lynn - FL

Louis tried calling QVC, but could NOT get a date for October yet. I like to put you in my calendar, so I don’t miss a single show. Can you please give me the date?
Thanks so much for all you do, love your cloths.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I will be on Oct .19th from 4pm till 6pm [that seems to be my time slot], with Jill Baurer. I like working with Jill and I know she really likes and appreciates the clothes

  15. margaret

Where do you get your berets? I have looked on the net but it is confusing as to size and quality.
    Thank you

    1. Toni Fisher

Q will not order – if we all write to the Buyer maybe that dumb crew will wake up. Louis told me he tried getting berets, but they would not go for it. I have tried several dept. stores, no berets, he said he got them in Paris.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

I have collected them over the years from all different stores.. When I see a color I like I pick it up, My last trip to Paris I picked up the olive and the gray heather. I have also looked on line but haven’t purchased. I always think I will….but haven’t yet.

  16. Stephanie

I love your clothes and have purchased many on QVC. My only request is that you offer your pants in a tall length (33 or 34″).
I would order them, but they are too short for me with heels especially.
Keep the great looking, well made clothes coming! Thank you.

    1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

As always, I second that request. Although my dry cleaner has mastered the art of hem tape….at least this makes them wearable with a flat/low heel.

P.S. Loved the shows today – thanks for beautiful designs!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Stephanie,
You don’t know how many times I have argued the point of offering talls. I really think the tall women have to take it upon themselves to demand pants in size tall. I’m not getting the job done. However, only large numbers of women will make a difference. for them to do anything about it…..50, 60, 70. even 100 women will not convince them that they can sell enough “Tall” pants to have them manufactured. My hands are tied when it comes to this subject. I wish I could do more, but so far nada!

  17. Toni Fisher

Also, this 4:00 pm show (2:00 p.m. Mountain Time) as I said is great. BUT, JEAN BRODIE, the song, “Jean, Jean, you’re young and alive.” RIGHT? Yes, we rememeber that movie also ALFI. Bless you, Louis, we remember.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Is that where that song comes from!? I didn’t remember that, but it makes sense. I just remember her telling her students they were the “creme de la creme” on their field trip to Italy. After that, as I recall, it all went down hill.

  18. roseann

I was watching Fashionably Early on QVC this morning and I love the way you style your clothes. I noticed the hose with many of the outfits–what type of hose do you suggest–are they opaque and solid?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

They are opaque tights, and I usually get the “HUE” brand thay had a great heather grey last year……however……if I see an interesting color I will pick it up because you never know when it can come in handy. When Jac and I were just in Target in PA [because I forgot my black socks at home and needed some to wear with my navy suit], they had some new interesting colors…..Espress too. …..but definitely Opaque tights.

  19. Toni Fisher

Louis: you looked great in your black suit – glad you had a lot of sell outs. Some things are on waitlist, same item is SOLD OUT. Q is the most confusing station on TV. That mock persimmon is just beautiful, have worn it many times since I received. Your shoes are beautiful, look like Cole Haan’s. Jac looked out of this world – GREAT SHOW.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Thank’s Toni……are you referring to my personal shoes? They are English…..paid a fortune for them, but have worn them for over 12 years! I know that because I got them when I started at QVC. They don’t owe me a pence. I will pass along your compliment to Jac.

  20. Kate

LDO, while you are at the Q today, could you please swing by the office of your buyer and ask why such limited quantity of whisper knit pants were ordered? At 3am there are no black xxs, xs, s and 3x–at midnight others were reporting no Smalls in black. How can this be?

    1. Toni Fisher

Kate: I agree, the 2X in tarragon was sold out – yet they have volumes of Susan Graver and Denim & Co. and can’t get rid of this stuff – it’s on for a year and then clearance. They ALWAYS sell Louis short. Then they put Louis’ tweed jacket which is new, as a “Best Seller.” What’s wrong with that station?

    2. Jane

      Louis,

I also tried to get the tarragon knit pants in size 2x at 12:08am and they were already sold out. So now I have all the matching pieces in tarragon except for the pants. Frustrating, to say the least.

      Jane

    3. Birdie

I agree. I ordered at midnight and the WK pants in black were already gone in S. Glad I got the other two colors – which, btw, are now pretty much sold out too and your show hasn’t even started yet. The tweed blazer in tarragon is also already spoken for in the smaller sizes. Why the Linea buyer isn’t ordering larger quantities is beyond me.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

It really isn’t the buyers decision how much money is alotted to her Linea purchase. I am sure she would love to buy more if she could.

    4. Kate

Even though this was a disappointment, wanted to double-back to say that the show was spectacular and I can’t wait to receive all the things I was able to scoop up! It’s a dog-fight but worth the effort.

  21. Toni Fisher

Ladies: Here’s the scoop – leather jacket with rib is $154 plus $11 shipping and handling on four easy pays – available at the 4:00 p.m. show. Enjoy.

  22. Yvette

    Dear Louis,
I’m counting the hours until tomorrow’s shows and hope you have time for one last question. The leather rib knit blazer is calling to me – in both colors. (I’m answering “Come to mama!”) What is the fabric composition of the KNIT part of this jacket? Thanks!

  23. Sherry

Question please, you had spoke of WK essentials, the pieces that don’t get on-air time. Do you know when those pieces will be available? Not that there’s not enough already…I just love the WK basic sweaters for my now casual lifestyle. Thanks and safe travels.

  24. Cheryl G

    Louis:

I am beyond excited about your magnificent collection. I have ordered three of your new items that are currently available and look forward to purchasing many more. Your sense of style is above and beyond all others.. Thank you for all you do and also for your patience..

Looking forward to tomorrow… Safe travels to you and your lovely wife, Jac..

  25. jgooch

Will you have ivory or winter white pants in the 9-10 show or perhaps in October show? Thanks~

  26. upallnight1/Deborah

Louis, what lovely Linea items will you and Jac be presenting on The Morning Show? Safe travels! I am very much looking forward to seeing you both (so much so, that I am up at 4 a.m. here, the time you will be on The Morning Show tomorrow!)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

A variety of top sellers. I ill be on FIRST…for a few sells and then back near the end.

  27. Vicki

    Hi Louis

I have a very long list and looking forward to seeing my favorite designer .. by any chance will you be making a “guest” appearance on any of the earlier shows on Monday? I just don’t want to miss a thing!! Looks like you had a fabulous trip happy you are home safely !!

    Vicki

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, I am on the Morning Show. I am first with about 6 items and then again near the end of the show right after the TSV presentation.

  28. Cela

Louis how can you be so casual in your blog about this sweater. It’s breathtaking. Barouque (sp?) inspired print, right? This is MY style, tailored with a twist. I already have the black mockneck. I love it worn with the SKIRT, and the tunic sweater.

It’s a printed sweater, isn’t it? Has it been lined under the print panels? I’ll wear this with tall black leather boots. I love the Merlot. I thought of wearing it with the wine and amber beads and then thought, no, it’s prettier without, yes?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m not sure what the original scarf was inspired by….I actually thin Persian. It is a printed sweater but it is not lined under the panels…the inside is ivory……Jewelry is tricky…..earrings bracelets def…..the absolutely right colorful beads…..maybe….jet definitely.

  29. Sharon

Hello Louis, I am trying to figure out what size I need for the WK pants and sweaters. I think I missed a sneak peek on the pants alone. The sweater on the manna kin is skin tight and we girl are not usually built like that . But if the pants are straight legs they tend to run a little larger around the middle so that puts me between xl and 1x. The last pants I got last month were running tighter so should I size up but then these are sweater fabric. I want three pairs of pants and three sweaters to match so I don’t want to order wrong sizes because they will be gone and no reorders like last month the size 20 disappeared, never to be seen again.

  30. Rochelle

    Dear Louis,
Two questions, please. Will the WK petite pants reflect a length only difference, or will we see a waist/hip/rise measurements that will differ from the corresponding regular length? Second, any remote chance of a reorder of A224278, the tweed tank? Much thanks for your time. Looking forward to Monday!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Rochelle
They usually do change the rise for petite sizes, but remember these are a sweater knit….do not hag them for long periods of time. I keep asking that question about the tank myself….I am guessing no, but I’m not 100% sure.

  31. Birdie

Louis, I’ve been wearing the lace jacket (A223652) all summer and plan on transitioning it into fall/winter. Will we be seeing new colors in this jacket next year?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m afraid not…..there doesn’t seem to be any plan on any reorders for this style.

      1. Birdie

What if all the Linea Ladies wrote in to QVC? It’s been a popular jacket, no? Would love to see it in black, navy, taupe, lemon, dark green…

  32. Birdie

I posted this while you were in Europe so it may have got lost: Will we be seeing Linea sequin pants anytime soon?

    Looking forward to Monday.

      1. Birdie

        Amazing. What colors, Louis?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Lets keep some things as a surprise….it’s a long way from here to Nov.

  33. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

I can’t believe the shows are almost here! I’m so excited! Besides the new items, will there be any reorders on the shows? Thanks!

    Carol

  34. Sharon

Hello Louis , we were wondering when the houndstooth skirt and blazer are coming? I thought it was this month.I can’t believe we can order the blouse skirt and tweed blazer already.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Oct….is the hounds tooth jacket, pencil skirt and oblong scarf all in the same fabric. I’m shocked they released new items so soon.

  35. Nancy

As a plus size gal here’s my question on the new pleated skirt to be shown on Monday. The pleats go clear up to the waist band. Given that this fabric is on the “lighter” side – do you think it will add much in the way of bulk around the tummy area ~ or no? I’m thinking “not” and therefore have it in my basket to purchase today after your take on this quesiton. Many thanks! Hope you had a good trip to the gymn today 🙂 (aka TheOwl)

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Nancy,
The thing about “sunburst pleats” is they are like a fan…..so there is less fabric at the top and more at the bottom as it “fans” or sunbursts” out. Sometime sunburst pleats are full circles, half circles, or less. The bigger the circle the more fabric. This skirt is “less”…..so it is quite a slim skirt for a pleated skirt. I think it will be fine for you……and the movement id soooo pretty.

      1. Nancy

Thank you Louis 🙂 It definitely looks “less” in the pictures here and at the Q. Since I missed out on the black version of the drop waist pleated skirt in my size – I am all over both colors in this skirt. I did get the mushroom in the other skirt and just love it! Thanks for the very quick reply 🙂 Can’t wait for the Monday show!

  36. Toni Fisher

Got the blouse with the tie – beautiful.

  37. Diamondscribe

Louis, I would like some input on the two tweed colors in the jacket. I own a lot of your olive. In fact, I was lucky to get four pairs of the olive pants (slim leg and straight leg, both lengths) and I have several olive WK items. So, my practical side is saying “get the tarragon” to go with the olive. But,my favorite color is the walnut! Will the walnut tweed work well with the olive pieces? Or, is the tarragon tweed the one you intended for the olive and I would be nuts not to get that one instead? Thanks, Deb

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

In all honest6y, with the huge investment you have in olive pieces….you should go with the Tarragon. It’s not that olive does not look good with the walnut, but it is more of a contrast, while the Tarragon is a perfect blend…..I think you knew this already!

  38. Lynn

Good morning. Three new items were available for ordering this morning: that beautiful new tweed jacket, a gorgeous solid tie blouse and a “must have” pleated skirt. Do you know when the new baroque cross necklaces will be available? Will they be in your Monday shows? I suspect I will need to purchase all three colors. Thanks again for your beautiful designs!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Wow that is fast…..I only hope there is a decent quantity left before my show or they will pull them from the presentation….LOL. When it comes to the jewelry……I don’t have a clue. Since my jewelry does not get sold on air and only on line…..it does not go to the top of the list when product gets photographed to be presented. All I can tell you is the product is all at QVC. The Baroque Cross with Resin center, the new enamel station necklace that goes with it, the new beads in the two color combinations that I will show with the “tweeds” and solids, the bead companion earring …….and an earring that you haven’t even seen yet! I call it my “Every Day Huggie Demi Hoop”…..that’s a mouth full. It’s a small, plump, half hoop earring. Something you can wear every day and it goes with EVERYTHING, including the new Baroque pieces. They may not be avail until early Nov. I guess they have a lot of “on air” product that has to get photographed first.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

Good morning Louis! Do you have item numbers for the enameled Baroque cross the enamel station necklace and the new beaded necklace with the matching earrings? This is so we can search by ‘item #’ online. Thanks again for doing these ‘sneak peeks’.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

1-J271859, is the “Caged Resin Cross”, black/gold, wine/gold or olive/gold
2-J271861, is the “Enamel Station Necklace”, same 3 colors as cross
3-J217862, faceted and multi bead necklace
4-J271863, faceted bead earring…..I am not sure how QVC is planning to describe 3 & 4. Ine is hematite faceted beads with wine and amber multi beads the other is a sort of chocolate metallic faceted beads with olive and amber multi beads.

          1. Chris/Jazzmom

            Thanks again!

  39. margo ducne windsor

Hi Louis, I just ordered your new Tweed jacket A228371. I can’t wait to get it. Can you tell me the Item number of the Black blouse you are showing in the sneek peek with the WK Black cardigan A217983 and the Black pants. I just have to have it.

Can’t wait for your shows next Monday,

    Cheers

    Margo

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Margo that will be today’s sneak peek…….when I get home from the gym.

  40. G

Can you compare the olive and tarragon colors, please? From the pictures they seem the same/interchangeable.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

To my eye the olive is darker and a little grayer…..the tarragon is lighter a little brighter and slightly more yellow. They are both beautiful colors and in their own way neutral, because you can wear both with many other colors.

  41. nikki

    Hello Louis,
My list is getting long and I am seriously contemplating getting this jacket in both colors. LOVE IT. Can u tell me how you would style the tarragon jacket with the taupe boho. What color turtle neck would you style it with to bring the 2 together. I love the taupe boho and would love to wear it with the tarragon jacket, just don’t know how THANKS so much for your input

  42. Stacy Zeno

Louis: Hope this finds Jac and you well. Wanted to share some information with you. My husband and I were at the Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, and your name is mentioned in the Museum! There was an exhibit with TV’s that showed clips from Andy Warhol’s TV show (from the 90’s I believe), and your name was shown as being on one of the shows.

Looking forward to Monday’s show – especially the leather jacket. Will have to move the cardigan to my October list.

Thanks for all the information you provide, and the great clothes!

  43. Susana (Suzzeee)

Hi Louis – do you happen to know which show that adorable little cardi with the velvet trim will be on? You are so right about that being very “Anthro” — I adore that store and this would be snapped up in a minute if it were in there!! I can’t wait to get mine — will be on a flight during at least one of your shows on the 10th so am hoping this shows up earlier in the day!!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The sweater has been pulled for Oct…..there were too many item and not enough time. The BIG important show is the 4pm two hour show…..sorry you will miss it. Maybe you can order the night before at midnight or in the morning before you leave. By then I should have posted all of my sneak peeks.

      1. enjay

No, no. I don’t wanna wait for that little cardi!

  44. Alice Speelman

    Dear Louis,

I am new to your Whisper Knit pants, but they sound wonderful! I would like to please ask:
    1) Will they be on your September 10th show?
    2) What is the waistband treatment and do they have pockets?
    3) What is the fabric and are they washable?
    4) Are they in numerical sizes and is the QVC Size Chart appropriate?

    Thank you for your help,

    Alice

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

1-Yes they will be on the Sept 10th 4pm show
2-It’s an elastic waist band. approx 2 inches and covered in the self fabric knit. No there are NO pockets. They are very smooth fitting pants over the hips and tummy.
3-It is a knitted fabric in rayon/nylon and yes they are washable.
They are letter sized not numerical, because they are a knit pull-on pant. I don’t know enough about the QVC size chart to give an intelligent answer. I would say they are very true to size, so if you are a med…..order the med.

  45. Inna

    Dear Louis,

I’m so sorry to bother you but I have so many questions for you:
    1. Which color combo Tarragon or Walnut tweed jacket would be the best for a cool skin tone?
    2. Will the walnut jacket work with your black WK pants and WK t-neck? I know it works well with the aubergine t-neck, and the new WK walnut pants.
    Thanks,
    Inna

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Inna,
1-I’m not sure as I don’t follow those kinds of charts…..actually to tell you the truth I personally don’t believe in them. I think anyone can wear almost anything with just a slight adjustment with makeup and lip color. I think the ladies who know more about cool and warm charts can give you better advise.
2-I can’t say I love it with black. The jacket has a lot of walnut in it and needs the walnut pant….the black is too harsh.

      1. Inna

        Dear Louis!
THANK you so much for your quick reply. I think I will go with the Tarragon tweed jacket.I remember that someone asked you this question, and you said that the Tarragon jacket works well with the black WK pant(I will order 3 pairs of black WK pants before they sell out).
        Thanks,
        Inna

  46. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

Will miss you & Jac on the 10th because my husband and I will be leaving today to visit some dear friends that have a home on the Sunshine Coast of Vancouver. I know that when we return on the 12th, i will be online to see if any new items are available.

    Bring on the jewelry!
    Dariann

Louis, tell me about the blouse shown with the tarragon pants and sweater. When will it be offered? I am ordering the tarragon sweater today to make sure I can put together the total tone-on-tone look shown. The pants will be a must buy for me.
    Jackie

      1. Toni Fisher

Called Q and they don’t have the Tarragon up in the system. Is there another way. Thanks so much.

        1. Sharon

Hi Toni, there is a button front crew sweater A217983 available in the tarragon and persimmon colors but the colors are not up yet. Maybe this is the sweater.

          1. Toni Fisher

Dear Sharon: Bless your heart – you are right. I am so into the t-necks I thought it was that sweater. I know we are driving Louis crazy, it’s like a bunch of horses in the starting gate waiting for that BELL. Bless you again. Thanks Sharon.

            1. Sharon

Hello Toni, so glad to help. I have the WK turtlenecks in every color. When I get dressed any pair of pants or skirts then a turtleneck with jewelry and a nice Blazer or Jacket and your good to go and you look like a million bucks. I Love the new tweeds in both colors, just saw them at Neiman for hundreds of dollars. And any age bracket can wear these outfits. We both will be ordering that Blouse won’t we!

            2. Toni Fisher

Yo Sharon: Bingo, yes, I love it, here in New Mexico amongst the horses, I only wear the t-necks and miss really dressing up. I have the t-necks in all colors and the mock necks (look at that persimmon mock). Can’t wait for his new t-necks – do you have the mushroom and caramel? Where does he get these ideas – I would LOVE to see them in the pastels – WOW. I missed out on the drawstring heather grey pants and Q won’t reorder – I asked them WHY they short order Louis but have tons of Graver and Denim & Co. – SILENCE. Well, we will have to wait until the 10th – I can hear the hooves now. Let’s GO, TEAM DELL OLIO. Lucky you have Neiman where you live, we only have Dillard’s and Macy’s – don’t care for Macy’s. Wouldn’t it be fun to have all of us for a reunion and all wearing Louis’ designs – let’s go Sharon.

  48. Pepper 11

Dear Louis have many many of your pieces, especially jackets but was only able to start collecting your skirts when you began having XXS. Will you be bringing in any more long flared rib knit skirts for fall or winter? I am waiting to receive your silk cashmere sweater in navy as I write.

  49. Sharon

Helloj Louis, we ladies are still waiting for our sneak peeks but my question is do you think that Pastel colors like powder blues, pinks and yellow will come back for women especially these colors in sweaters ? Also soft lime greens. I have been looking at the new fashions and they are so 60’s don’t you think?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

If you mean doing those pastel colors for Fall, not likely, but never say never. Every once in a blue moon a designer decides it’s time once again to try pastels for fall winter…..myself included. The editors jump all over it, depending on which favored designer did it,but it is never successful at retail. A sweater, yes, but beyond that it’s very chancy. I have been asking the buyers what about reordering some of the WK styles in spring colors, but so far it hasn’t happened. I have l ready have done the WK turtle neck in the perfectly pink, but I can definitely see it in a pale blue, butter yellow and a pale limeade color….as I said never say never.

      1. Sharon

I like the perfectly pink but it has like grey in it. I know you know what pink I’m talking about. Remember Mohair and angora sweaters from the late 1960’s. The skirts were in wool which I know wouldn’t be cost affective but we looked like such ladies in those days. I watched a Perry Mason show the other day and the lady Had gloves and a suit with a hat and the brooch. The women was sitting next to me said boy we don’t look like that anymore do we and we both laughed.

        1. Barbara in Virginia

Louis, Back in Dallas where I grew up, we all changed into winter pastels right after the new year: pretty sweaters and matching wool skirts. Most of us asked for them for Christmas. But of course in Dallas, there were ongoing season changes. We started with the winter pastels, then went into early Spring, then late Spring, then Summer, then dark cottons starting in August until it got cold then into Fall tweeds, plaids, Shetland sweaters and the like. Then of course at Christmas we wore our holiday clothes! All led by Stanley (“Mr. Stanley”) Marcus, who ushered in the black cotton, linen, or silk black day dress on 1 August. Who was anyone to argue with Mr. Stanley?!!! :-).

          1. Sharon

Barb your memories are like mine. I saved my babysitting money to go to Eitels store and bought pink bootie suede shoes first and then saved again to go buy green suede bootie shoes. They had suede laces and you know I kept them until the laces broke and the suede wore off. Clothes were everything to me ever since elementary school. I was the first girl in my 6th grade class to wear a straight red skirt buttons down the front and a pleat at the bottom. I was 5’7 and the tallest kid in my class but I didn’t care.

      2. Toni Fisher

Holy Smokes – butter yellow, pale limeade, pale blue – this sounds wonderful. Perhaps we need to tell the buyers, after all, we PAY THEIR SALARIES. Great colors. toni

        1. Julia

I love pastels in winter with grey and winter white. Sigh. So feminine.

  50. Cela

    Hi Louis,

Loved your holiday pics. BTW, in your blog Sept 1, 2012 at 8:03PM you said…”new tweeds coming in Sept.” Are you talking about the Black and White houndstooth tweeds or are there OTHER tweeds that you are teasing us about?

Remember to hydrate well as you are probably a little dehydrated from your extensive travels and need to be in perfect health for the Sept. show. HAHA! 🙂

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Other……”Town & Country Tweeds”, which you will soon see. I really don’t consider a traditional hounds tooth check tweed.
I normally drink water like a fish, so hydration is never a problem for me.

  51. FreddieMac

    Louis,
Thank you so much for posting the pictures of your trip to Vienna as well as your commentary on the various sights. I have never been to Vienna but your travelogue is very enticing. Will add it to my bucket list. I can see that you have the artist’s eye for photography just like your clothing design.
    Regards, FreddieMac

PS I received the gold love knot necklace yesterday and it exceeds my every expectation. I can see it will become a signature piece for me.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear FreddieMac……I’m so glad you like you love knot necklace.
I really enjoy taking pictures with my little camera. I happy you are enjoying them.

  52. margo Ducane-Windsor

Hello Louis, I’m really looking forward to your shows on Sept the 10th. I want to buy the two “whisper Knit” turtlenecks you are showing with the new pearls. (I bought all three colours). Will they be in your Sept 10th show?

So look forward to watching you,

    Cheers,

    Margo

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The whisper knit sweaters are not featured on the Sept show, but can be purchased anythime. The silk/cashmere and lycra turtle neck in Black,Java Brown and the new Ivory and Navy will be on the Sept show. It is this sweater I am showing with the navy pearl necklace.

  53. Becky

First of all, I appreciated your sharing your exquisite trip with us in word and pictures. I always looked to see what glamorous Jac was wearing. She is always so refined and at ease!

What is your and Jac’s advice on coordinating necklaces and earrings that don’t exactly match?

Also, I ordered the whisper knit turtle neck in black and upon receiving it, immediately ordered the ivory. When I wear my black coat, your new gray necklace will be stunning with either one, but when I wear the camel coat, I’m thinking the pink necklace would be better. In other words, I’m not feeling comfortable mixing the camel color of the coat and the gray necklace. Any guidance?

Recently I ordered your long boho skirt in taupe. I can’t begin to tell you how much I love it! I’m a ‘young’ 70 year old lady who I don’t think has ever worn a boho skirt 🙂 And it’s just so lovely and comfortable! So Me, after all 🙂

Thank you and Jac for your elegance!

Looking forward to your every word, presentation and creation, Becky

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Becky……your question about mixing and matching jewelry is very interesting and one I am sure many women face daily. When I designed the Anne Klein Collection, I designed all of the jewelry to go with it, so I was never faced with this problem….it was very much a “candy store”. Whatever I dreamed I had made. Designing jewelry for QVC brings with it a whole new set of challenges. They don’t always want to buy the coordinating earring, case in point the pearl to go with all of the pearl necklaces… [notice I did not say matching]……so I have to style the outfits with accessories that, for me, go together but don’t match. For instance, it is very seldom that a hoop earring of any size, won’t look good with bead necklaces. Or any style jet or rhinestone earring will work with any jet necklaces. I have been able to offer a Byzantine earring, the one with the different matching bead drop or the pearl drop, that coordinated with the three Byzantine necklaces which includes the cross…..but it’s a great earring on it’s own and with other things. One of my newest earrings, the “chandelier” with multi color stones is a sleeper. It works with so many different garments….from summer dresses, bohos both printed and solid, and it looks fabulous with the new Byzantine bead necklace. It’s an earring that can be worn all year round……it looks great with my new tweeds coming in Sept. So, to answer your question. I like earrings that don’t exactly match as long as something ties it together…..color is a great connector. I’m not sure if I understand your question about the camel coat. What camel coat are you referring to? I can see a camel blazer with an ivory turtleneck, my heather ponte drawstring pant or the one from a few seasons ago, with the love knot necklaces in gunmetal and gold and the silver too….all worn together with the gunmetal chain hoop earring [which coordinates but doesn’t match]……you don’t need a knot earring to make it work…..the new small cross earrings look great with the love knots. I think it would look very “Town and Country”, elegant, sporty and sophisticated. Again, I’m not sure what pink necklace you are referring to. If you need more clarification….please let me know. My RULE is NO RULES…if you like the mix and you are comfortable and confident wearing it…..that’s all that matters!!!!!Welcome to the Boho world. It really is a great skirt for anyone. any age…..it just works, spring, summer, fall and winter…..day or night, casual or dressy.

  54. Toni Fisher

Dear Louis: I just received your love knot necklace – I LOVE the weight, not too heavy, but won’t flip either. The love knots are perfectly placed and go up the necklace and stop JUST at the right place before the neck, around the jawline. It frames the face and the brush goldtone is beautiful – I love the length, and everything about it. You designed this perfectly and ladies, you will LOVE this beautiful frame around your face. Thanks again, Louis.

  55. jgooch

Am wondering if your boho skirt will return in spruce green. Thanks!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No…….I believe that color has been retired. Once they stop reordering a color they have not gone back and reordered it again.

  56. Alice Speelman

    Dear Louis,

    Two questions, please:
    1) Could you please repeat the dates of your future shows. I neglected to write them down from a previous post before it expired…and you have priority on my calendar!
    2) Will there be ivory pants on your coming September 10th show or will they still be coming in October (as your July Sneak Peak indicated)? Will they be numerical sizes? Will they be lined? Will knit ivory pants be available in the future? And, would you consider an ivory jacket to go with them?

    Thank you

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Hi Alice,
The dates of my next appearances are: Sept 10th at 6am with Jane and Pat and then again on Sept 10th at 4 pm which is a two hour spectacular with Sandra.
The ivory pant with be on my Oct. 19th show at 4pm, and they are not lined. I will have an ivory knit pant and matching jacket in Jan. and an ivory crepe jacket and pant in Feb. They are all very different looking. I know the pants will sell out quickly so it is a good thing to have an assortment of them in different fabrics. Usually, I have one ivory pant for the season and once it’s gone it takes another year to bring a new one back. You can never depend on a pant being reordered because there are always high returns……even thought there are never any in inventory. So many women order two sizes and then keep the best fitting one….returning the other. I totally understand why, but it does cause high returns and QVC will not reorder anything with high returns no matter what the reason. I do believe the pants are numerical, but I will let you know for sure when I do my “sneak peeks”.

      1. Alice Speelman

Thanks, Louis. I have marked this year’s calendar and put reminder notes on the one I just received for next year. I know you have heard this before, but it is so wonderful to purchase my clothes from someone like you! The combination of having access to the line of one of the best designers in America, QVC’s marketing, and your tireless effort to keep us informed (and anticipating!) what is coming, means I rarely make purchases from anyone else. Thank you, too, for sharing “peeks” of your life with all of us. What a joy to know something of the fine character behind the artist!

        Sincerely,

        Alice

  57. DeLois

I am posting this as it me be helpful to some of you. I received the heather gray slacks with the drawstring…..perfect but about a hem width too long. Knowing how knits shrink when laundered (we have no good dry cleaners) I decided to pre-wash my slacks before hemming. I washed them in cold water on gentle cycle and then put them in the dryer on LOW heat……. took them out before they were dry and hung them. I am happy to report they washed beautifully and they shrunk in length only.
Now I don’t have to hem them at all and I am very pleased.

    1. Toni Fisher

Dear DeLois: I don’t mean to be crude, but how was the crotch – Louis said to size up, but on the models it still look tight and they sized up I was going to get in 1X but then I reconsidered, but 2X was sold out. Wrote to QVC and asked them why his line is sold short and they don’t reorder like Graver and Denim & Co. Of course, they said they would pass it on, but I seriously doubt it. There is a 1X available in Heather Grey which I LOVe. Thanks DeLois.

      1. DeLois

To Toni Fisher…… I ordered a medium and it was perfect in the crotch before and after laundering…… I am usually a
size 10 in pants so on the small end of the medium and it was perfect…… I wouldn’t have wanted them any larger..I hope this answers your question……

  58. Susan (aka carlytwila)

    Hi Louis,
Will there be additional rose gold pieces that coordinate with the new watch? What do you think about wearing the perfectly pink pearls with it?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There aren’t any other rose gold pieces just yet, but I’m sure there will be other rose gold pieces offered in the future. There is nothing wrong with mixing the rose gold watch with the PP pearls. I like mixing it up.

  59. Elena

Louis, will you be doing any more leggings? I’ve been very spoiled by your leggings and can’t find anything that even close to the quality.

      1. Mary

I’m so happy to hear that. I bought a pair of the A199801 crop leggings and love to wear them with the poet shirt. But there was only one pair left in my size and I may just wear them out!

  60. Sharon

Hello Louis, I’m so sorry to bother you but I’m going out of my mind for another SNEAK PEEK. I check everyday because I don’t have a life and I need my LINEA fix. PS just received my cross necklace and earring and I Love them, Thank-you

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

      Dear Sharon,
I’m sorry, but with the trip I’m a little behind and have just started to photograph the collection. During the weekend I will start to post.

      1. Sharon

Thank you Louis for the fast response , don’t hurry I just have to busy myself. I am enjoying your pictures, I will bet that when Jac walks down the streets people turn and look at her don’t they. Have you ever walked behind her and watch people stare.I saw old pictures of you two years ago and she still is as attractive now as she was then. I love the picture in the lobby, I remember as a child going in to places like that with lots of wood and velvet drapes everywhere. It reminds me of my grandmother who was from Denmark and we drank from crystal and ate with china and real silverware. Also we had to dress for dinner, do they still do that anywhere ?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I absolutely do that. When we were in Marrakesh the men in the shops were yelling things at her and we weren’t quite sure what they were saying. Our guide told us they were yelling La Gazelle….because of her long legs….she was very flattered and I was very proud.
Unfortunately, most places has a relaxed dress code these days, but Jac and I always get dressed when we go out to a theater or special restaurant. Those are great memories you have of your grandmother…..we should all try to have a little of that in our lives. As soon as it gets dark at dinner time, we always eat by candle light…..

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Not to worry. I will keep you busy with post cards until my collages are done. So glad you love the jewelry!

  61. nikki

    Louis,
Can you please do a short skirt for next summer. I love wearing your boho skirt (at least once a week and sometimes more), however i would love the option of a short skirt, just upto the knee. I remember one in black and white, with black beads in shape of flowers ( it must be a few years old as i did not get a chance to buy it) Something just upto the knee.

In the meantime, I have ordered the border print ruffle skirt in chilipepper, and loved it so much i ordered the other 2 colors also. I also wanted to know, if you would pair this skirt with the safari jacket in olive ( for the straw) or do you think those styles dont work together. Thankyou

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Absolutely you can wear them together. That is exactly what I did with the straw and chili pepper safari shirt/jackets. They are just a different style of safari jacket but all sorts of jackets will work with those skirts.

      1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

I second that request for a shorter summer skirt. I have the two-tier shorter boho and have lived in it this summer, but need more colors. I love the shorter cotton pencil skirts for a very polished look, but I find I tend to grab the skirts with the elastic waist on those scorching hot days. I put the aquamarine on waitlist, although at this point I have little hope that it will come back in stock. The long boho is great from Sept – May, but I think it is much warmer than the shorter one in the really hot months.

  62. Toni Fisher

Louis: Just ordered the chili pepper graduated bead necklace – it is absolutely beautiful – I came about it looking at your line which I do every night and there this beautiful necklace appeared – shocked, ordered immediately. Beautiful. Thanks so much.

  63. Deborah Perry/upallnight1

I am wearing a favorite oldie today, the poet shirt in white, I have two of them, and was wondering if you planned on offering it in other colors? Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’m not sure which shirt you are referring to. If it’s the charmeuse shirt….no I have nothing in the works like that. Honestly it wasn’t a great success the first time around, so I am happy you appreciated it.

    2. MH-MN

I think she is speaking about A213626 “Poet Blouse With Pockets.” (It’s one of my favorites, too. I bought an extra white one, a size up, to use as my baking smock.)

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

That top is coming back next spring with the new color being navy.

        1. Kate

          To wear with white jeans!

  64. DeLois

I was on wait list for the tie front knit pants and I just received them in charcoal. They are a perfect fit for me in my regular size. Also was able to get the top that matches with the panties attacked. I have a question. The pants are way too long for me even with heels and the hem looks hard to undo. I think I will just turn them under and lightly blind stitch them but I am wondering if I should try washing them first. I hate to do that, but if they would shrink a lot it would be ideal for me. Do you have an opinion on that, Louis????

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I think it is always taking a chance to purposely try to shrink something. What if they not only shrink in the length but also in the width? Are you sure you can’t undo the hem with a seam ripper? Maybe you could go to your dry cleaner and ask them to just take the hem down and then you can shorten them?

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

I took my heather grey pants to my seamstress at the dry cleaners and she had no problem cutting and shortening the hem.

      2. DeLois

I was only thinking of washing them according the care instructions. I just hate to shorten a knit and have it shrink sometime later………. during washing or dry cleaning……… will give it some thought before proceeding

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Then wash them first and then see if they need to be shortened. This fabric should not shrink under normal washing.

  65. Ann B.

Hi Louis: I really REALLY wanted to order a suede jacket like one I ordered a few years back on QVC (A55546), suede with leather trim in the form of “X”s on the front. It came in several colors and I wish I had ordered a second one! My brown one is worn out. Is there any way to get one in size 2X?? I love the jacket and got compliments every time I wore it!
