If you ever do another short trench, please do it in your gray color-even if you have to do a two tone with black. I own several of your short trench coats-black/black, navy/black, tan, black and your faux suede shorr black trench. Since I am only 5’3”, your short trenches are full length on me.

when will the Cheetah blouses in bisque & caramel be presented on QVC

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear JV Sawicki….the scheduled shows are on Oct 14th at 2:00am and 9:00am. That’s when the Big Deal and all the other pieces are to be presented….that said QVC pulls some surprises and shows things early like they did last night with the tweed jacket so I never know for sure. What I do know is the 14th is the day.

  3. Linda in AZ

Hello Louis…well, the Q strikes again. I ordered a Caramel Fez, and got the Bisque. It is lovely, but back it goes. I will wait awhile to reorder the Caramel. Given all that is going on in the world, I feel bad about grumbling. However, it is the 3rd Linea order that the Q has messed up in the past 3 weeks. Makes you wonder.

On the bright side, I appreciate the measurement information that you gave to Chris, regarding jacket sizing. I have had the same problem. I will now use the 2 inch rule, when I look at the Click Here measurements.

Just wanted to second Michelle’s request (#84) for a faux suede blazer!! I think they would be yet another timeless and elegant addition to the Linea line.

The black with silver embroidered skirt arrived today. Since I own the vivid blue embroidered skirt, I was prepared for it to be beautiful. I was not disappointed. Your embroidered skirts are definitely show stoppers. I also purchased the Latte, but it has not arrived as of yet. Best part of your embroidered skirts since I own all three is that I accessorize them all so differently that each look will be individually distinct.

I finally broke down and purchased your Linea beaded necklace set J484174 in Black and Silver. It arrived. What a beauty! I intend to wear it with your tuxedo with a black and silver Armani camisole underneath. Your gorgeous beaded necklace will be a showstopper with that outfit. Best part it will also look sensational with your black with silver embroidery skirt and a plain black top. Louis, you are certainly outfitting me for all of the dressy events in my life. Thanks!

  6. Michelle

Well, that’s sad news, Louis. I love your suede trench coat. I guess I’ll wait for the clearance price and buy the one color that I don’t already have.

Thanks for letting me know. Can I put in a request for a blazer version of the FSTCF (faux suede trench coat fabric) next year?

    Michelle

Regarding the Fez: As I said, I ordered Plum and got Caramel. Today I did a Live Chat with CS. The shipped out a new Plum to me and told me to send back the Caramel as a return. The rep assured me that there would be no return shipping charge. At that time they put a new Plum “In Process” on my account with the word Null (for no charge I guess). I pointed out to them there was a price increase since I placed the original order, which was another reason “return” seems the wrong option.

This afternoon, the new Plum went on Backorder. I know more have been ordered for later shipment, but this is now feeling very messy. I am not going to return the Caramel until I get the plum in my hands. I’d rather have the Caramel than no necklace, and they still have all my money. I may end up with two Caramels and no Plum for all I know, although I did tell her that the packing slip was right and the product was wrong.

Louis, I’m wondering if that was the right thing for CS to do because now you’ll get dinged for a return, when in fact it’s just a shipping error. Just thought I’d bring this to your attention for when you’re talking jewelry budget with QVC.

I know this drives you crazy, but I just thought you should know what we’re being told. I downloaded a copy of my Live Chat so I have it on file.

  8. Grace

Louis, I see there is a caramel faz available, so I’ll snap it up!

  9. Grace

Just FYI…I received the first two boxes of my jewelry orders. Got the pretty plum bracelets, but instead of the caramel fez, I got the bisque fez. The bisque fez I ordered will be delivered tomorrow & I see the caramel fez is sold out. Guess I’ll need to wait until mid-October and reorder the caramel fez then? I’m still mystified as to why this jewelry issue keeps popping up with QVC, especially with an advance order. But, it is what it is and I know it’s as frustrating for you, Louis, as it is for us! Just thought you’d like the heads up, in case you’re keeping a count.

  10. Michelle

    Louis

I have now received all of the Fez and triple strand necklaces, as well as the bracelets, that I ordered. Happily, everything arrived as ordered (with matching packing slips). They are all gorgeous. I love them all, but the caramel set is my favorite. I’m looking forward to the weather changing as we move into Fall tomorrow, so that I can wear all of my new goodies.

A quick question for you. Are any new colors planned for the suede trench coat (A370421) this year?

    Michelle

P.S. For any Linea ladies searching for tall boots, Marc Fisher tall boots are being offered as the QVC2 Big Deal (A370757). I picked up the taupe pair in the hopes that they will match with all of the Bisque items that I’ve ordered, including the WK skirt.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Glad to hear Michelle, that you have received all of your jewelry don’t forget to leave reviews…..The suede trench has been killed so it won’t be returning…….sorry

  11. Karen in WA

I watched an old documentary on Halston last night. Did Jac ever work for him?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

On rare occasion. There were other reasons she didn’t care to work for him. He used the same models all the time, and they had to be at his beck and call. Jac had too many clients to devote so much time to him, and when she became my model she didn’t have much time to work for anyone else since I designed the collection on her, and wanted her with me all the time.

  12. CC

Thank you for the video on the new jacket and tops. Very helpfful. One question, you briefly mentioned the split collar turtleneck is it in the whisper knit fabric?

  13. Chris S.

Thank you. Based on 2 inches bigger than body measurements, the 18 should be fine. The click here measurements vary from style to style and it gets confusing trying to find the right size. I guess it depends upon how fitted the style. Also, trying to fit a pear shape can be tricky!

  14. Chris S.

    Louis,
I have a hard time trying to get a good fit in your number sized items. I need some advice. The click here measurements are garment measurements…right? So about how many inches more than my body measurements should the garment measurements be? I’m determined to get the right size in the bisque tweed jacket. In letter size, an XL always fits. Last year, I really wanted a red TCF blazer. I ordered both an 18 and 20 and had to return both of them. Help!

    Thank you,

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Chris, which blazer in the TCF did you order, and why didn’t the 18 and 20 not fir…too small? too big?? If I remember it is usually to 2″ bigger than your body that’s 1 ” on both sides.

  15. Marta

I received the all 3 Fez and the Plum bracelet and they all are correct. I’m still waiting for all 3 triple strands and the other 2 bracelets. I live in SoCal and wore the Caramel cardigan over a white tee, dark jeans and the Caramel Fez out to dinner last night (sitting outside of course). I received 3 compliments on the Cardigan and necklace. My husband loved my outfit as well. It felt great to go out to dinner again and be able to wear my new Linea clothes and jewelry.

  16. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. It certainly is getting cold enough here in New England to bring out the Fall/Winter clothing and to put away the Spring/Summer clothing. Wish I had somewhere to go. I think I’ll try to take a car ride once a week out to the Berkshires on a nice sunny Fall day and wear my gorgeous new Linea. First up—the Caramel! Sheila

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shelia……it certainly is getting cold enough! Down here on the water it’s down right cold. When I muster up enough ambition I will change the bedding over from Summer to winter. It may sound easy, but Jac loved coverlets and quilts and there are 11 pillows on the bed that get new cases….so it’s a big job. Today is one of those incredible days. Since we are in a New Moon stage the tide is exceptionally high and the wind on the water is creating good waves! All of that with the sun shinning on it makes foe a breathtaking picture….nature at its’……Your rides to the Berkshires sound wonderful!!!

  17. Sheesh

Louis, so far all my Fez, Triple strand pieces and bracelets have been correct, but still waiting for the Caramel Triple Strand–so fingers crossed. They are ALL beautiful, but I have to say that the Caramel is my FAVE! There is something about that Tiger’s Eye……Sheila

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shelia….the caramel is beautiful, and it looks so good on so many colors. I love Tiger Eye too. Each bead has it’s own character, and that’s why it looks so expensive. Even the gold beads are special. When you put each one on with either the plum, the bisque and grey or the caramel pieces….that’s when they really come alive.

  18. Carol

Thanks, Louis, I will wait to give TCJC some time to evaluate the situation. Since I know more have been ordered, I’m not concerned that I won’t eventually get the right color. No worries. I have the gray one to enjoy while I wait.

  19. Michelle

    Louis

I ordered all three of the Fez necklaces. Fortunately, all three necklaces arrived with matching packing slips. They are gorgeous!

Fingers crossed that the mix up doesn’t impact too many Linea ladies.

    Michelle

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Michelle, since all of the jewelry comes from one facility, I am sure when they find out the mistake they will hand check the boxes that haven’t been shipped. Glad to hear yours were correct and packed with the correct packing slips.

  20. Nan

    Ordered grey
    Received grey
    Yea !!!

  21. Carol

Sadly, I got a Caramel Fez instead of Plum, too. The packing slip says Plum. The Bisque that I ordered arrived correctly. Guess I’ll wait to see that the shipper has been informed as to how to rectify.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Carol, I have notified TCJC, and they will look into it on Monday and see why the wrong color item was put into a box with a different color packing slip!

  22. Ann

Bev, I just received the caramel necklace. I ordered the plum and the packing slip says plum. Here we go. I did not receive the longer necklace yet.

  23. Bev in IL

And so it begins….received my grey fez necklaces with caramel pack slip. I hope I still get the caramel necklace. I have a feeling this is going to be a mess for a lot of us ladies.

  24. Grace

Cathy, I also heard Jennifer say there is a caramel midi skirt. I was surprised to hear her say that, since I have that skirt in every color (my favorite WK!), or at least I thought I did 😉

  25. Anonymous

Good morning, Louis. I love your designs, especially your dresses. I wonder if any are part of you fall or winter collections.
Any style, any fabric…they’re all wonderful. Many thanks. Nedra

  26. Cathy

Jennifer said on air that you have a caramel midi skirt. I can’t find the item number. How did I miss it? Your caramel is so beautiful! Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Cathy, if Jennifer said that she misspoke…..there is no such skirt, only the caramel Ponte pant.

  27. Cindy

You are awesome!! Thanks so much for the quick response!! I’m off to order right now 🙂

    Cindy

  28. Cindy

Hi Louis, I cannot tell you enough how much I have enjoyed your clothes for the past 10 years. As a teacher, I have looked to you and your designs to make me feel professional, put together and pretty all at the same time. I check your blog everyday, several times a day actually, and enjoy all of your posts.

I do have one question for you: Does the new boucle jacket fit similarly to the plaid boyfriend jacket? I bought 3 of them in size 6 and they fit perfectly, and tend to have a little room. I just wanted to make sure to buy the correct size in your beautiful new jacket.

    Thanks so much!!

    Cindy

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I would say the boyfriend plaid jackets are a little less fitted, but I would still say you should get the 6!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, I see. The model is very pretty, but I wish they pulled the proper size for her. From other pictures I’ve seen of her she looks like a 2, and they probably pulled size 4 or 6 jackets because they don’t coordinate the clothes with the model being booked. They pull the clothes and who ever model is booked they put the clothes on her, not the best way of shooting clothes, but that’s why I do my sneak peeks.

  29. Bev in IL

    Hi Louis,
I am loving the new baby cheetah blouse in the mulberry. I was wondering if it blended with the blackberry slacks from 2 years ago?
Also just a quick note, I especially miss seeing Maria model your clothes as well as the other models you always used.
    Take care and stay safe.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bev…..I miss them too, but the way things are now I have to use a model who is a LG or XL because those are the only sizes that they hold, and Maria is a 1x or 2x so they don’t have the samples in her size.

  30. Carol in FL

Fantastic! Will order it as soon as it becomes available. Thank you!

    Carol

  31. Carol in FL

    Hi Louis,

Will the baby cheetah blouse in caramel blend with A229475 jacket in topaz??? Love all of your clothes this fall, but especially A384508 riding jacket in the TCF with the matching pencil skirt A384509 in black. Yes, I have a lot of black in my wardrobe, but I just couldn’t pass this one up. Thank you!

    Carol in FL

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Carol….you’re in luck, because I still have those jackets from years ago. The colors were fabulous….and YES the Caramel Cheetah looks fantastic with your Topaz jacket. Now that’s what I call mixing vintage with new! Wear the Caramel with your black riding jacket too..they look great together!

  32. Rudewarr

THANK YOU!!!! Cannot wait to see the sneak peeks! And the tweed jacket on Monday?!?!? I have already budgeted for the bisque/grey tweed blazer and then I saw the caramel….I have so many of your caramel pieces (and I just recently finally found a caramel trench coat in my size and completed the three color collection!) This is a must as well.

As everyone has stated, this fall collection has been stupendous! You have made so many happy during such a bleak time. Thank you for bringing joy to all of us!

    Kate

  33. Rudewarr

    Good Morning Louis,

Can you please divulge a little more info on the new WK Bisque sweater coming in October? I have the WK skirt, TN, BD cardigan and ponte pants in bisque and eagerly awaiting my Fez necklace currently traveling through the mail system. I love the color!

    Stay safe!
    Kate

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate….all will be revealed on Sat. when I post my Sneak peeks……The Tweed jackets will be featured this Monday night. The show starts at 7pm. Unfortunately they will not have any of the coordinating pieces scripted in the show and I can only show one color on a model….so I will be showing the Caramel jacket over all black [clothes from the model’s closet].

  34. Seka

I won’t repost the photo until you are ready, Louis.
But I love the Top and Moss Crepe – and was waiting to read all the details – and to see possibly other colours!
    Seka.

  35. Seka

Louis, I saw your photo collage of the new Moss Crepe Top with Cross Over Neck in Black – and was waiting for the rest of your Sneak Peek.
Then the photo disappeared but I have it saved on my iCloud.
Are you going to post the Sneak Peek of this new Top?
    Seka.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Seka…you are so funny….I can’t get anything passed you!!!!!!The post was a mistake and I took it down right away….Please don’t re-post it until I post all of the colors….thanks

  36. Jeancp

    Good Afternoon, Louis!

I have 2 questions for you. First, are there any items coming this winter in your spectacular Olive color? I could really use a good dose of Olive right now!

Second, I have been spending a lot of time washing and ironing my fall and winter clothing during these many rainy days we are having in the Southeast. Today, I have ironed quite a few of my Kate shirts and happened to notice the piece of material which you used at the shoulders. It’s a rectangular piece, approximately 2 inches wide, which is inserted between the bodice back and bodice front, and has topstitching on all 4 sides of the insert. I don’t know why I haven’t noticed this lovely detail in all of the times I have ironed these shirts, but I would like to know the name for that particular pattern piece.

I used to sew quite a lot in my younger days, including making my own wedding dress in the early 80’s! It was a simple dress, made from the finest gossamer batiste, with a wide French satin ribbon tied at the waist, and I smocked the bodice and sleeve bands in white on white. Very 80’s! I still have the dress (it lasted longer than the marriage LOL). The flower girls wore smocked pinafores over their little cotton dresses. It was lovely, and kept us all cool for an August wedding. I had to laugh at QVC’s spelling of ‘smocking’ in the description of the recent long sleeved floral blouse…..looks like they finally fixed that little error.

Anyway, please let me know about the possibility of any upcoming items in Olive, and the name of that dressmaking term for that insert on the Kate shirt shoulders. You are appreciated more than you could possibly know, for all that you do for all of us 🙂
    Jean

  37. Cathy in PA

Oh, Louis, thanks for taking the time to answer about the Plum and Bisque WK; I’ll be watching for that October Bisque! Makes me doubly glad I got the Plum I did, and the Bisque, AND that I ordered the missing Plum pieces last night after posting here 🙂 Tank top, etc., along with all 3 of the V Neck sweater, which I’d already received and decided to size down on :). Walter’s words yesterday, during a discussion of bills to pay: “Oh, we’ll pay that one at double what’s due, but not in full, as YOU NEED MORE of Louis’s sweaters!” Now a cheetah blouse or 2 and certainly that Plum georgette ruffle 😉 Music to my ears in more than one way lol.

  38. Chris S.

I was getting nervous because the waitlist order I placed for the petite silver skirt at the end of August still was not showing that it was in process. I placed a new order for the skirt and was able to cancel the waitlist. The new order shows in process. Hopefully, it will ship without any trouble. I don’t know why they didn’t process the waitlist orders before taking new orders. The Q remains a puzzle.

My bisque bracelet and Fez necklace have shipped!

  39. Anonymous

    Louis,

I think I should know this, but … are there still any WK’s coming this fall in Plum and/or Bisque? Just trying to plan out my wishlists. Who would have thought the list would include animal prints??? I don’t care for animal prints … but in Louis’ masterful hands, in Bisque and Magenta, OH, MY! And I happen to have a baby alpaca hand woven wrap in almost a dead match to the blouse, with the print just a little bit bigger; that will be a must have.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There aren’t anymore plum sweaters coming but there is a beautiful ruffle georgette plum blouse coming for the Holidays. There is another Bisque sweater in WK coming in Oct.

  40. Nan

My backorder grey bracelets just shipped from NJ. Yea! Good luck to all…

  41. Seka

Louis, Are you planning to show the new Silver Gray Embroidered Skirt in one of your upcoming videos?

    Seka.

  42. Nan

It would be helpful to know what the rules are and how the computer is programmed. T
Especially for issues like early ordering for Big Deals. Is it better to early order or do kickoff show orders take priority over early orders?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Nan….it’s all a mystery to me. Maybe those who have pre-ordered and have ordered during the show could answer better.

  43. Nan

I suspect QVC oversells inventory to compensate for check holds and credit cards that don’t clear. Like airlines used to overbook flights.

  44. Marta

My triple strand in grey went to back order as well. I really do not understand how QVC can not have accurate inventory. Does anyone know who to contact at QVC about this kind of situation?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Marta….all i know is Customer Service or those people on the forum that many women go to……but don’t worryb too much more of all 3 styles in the 3 color were ordered.

  45. Nan

I think backorder takes priority over waitlist, so hoping we all get our orders.

  46. Sheesh

Oh brother! Louis, some of the orders for the Triple Strand Necklaces that showed In Process yesterday and earlier today are now going to the dreaded Back Order (looks like the Grey and the Caramel, thus far)! Heads up—mutiny ahead! Sheila

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Shelia, as i said to Marta….I think advance orders confuse things, but not to worry….all styles in all colors have been reordered.

  47. Carolyn tx

Thanks to Seka for the notice the ponte was posted. I’ve had the ponte bisque and gray pant on waitlist. My order had not been placed automatically from the waitlist so I placed the order myself. I missed the gray pant last year because they sell out quickly so thanks again. The pants complete my matching sweater and jacket purchases. I would have been heartbroken with out them.

  48. SueB

Louis, my Fez necklaces and bracelets are “in process” — so excited!

  49. Marta

More stock of the Slim Ponte pant in petite has been added.

  50. Chris/Jazzmom

Angela, the Q probably hasn’t opened all the boxes at the warehouse yet so they are still showing waitlist. Part of their crazy inventory system.

  51. Angela

    Louis,
The petite silver embroidered skirt is only available on waitlist in every size?
Or is it still not available?
I’ve been waiting for this skirt for a long time and was so thrilled when you announced on your blog that it was finally in stock.
But when I went to qvc.com it’s still showing waitlist only.
Did I miss out on it?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Angela, what Chris says is absolutely correct. She’s been through the drill before….LOL. Maybe you should go on wait list so your are registered.

  52. Chris S.

    Louis,
What do yo think of A239319 Silver Sweater with the new silver embroidered skirt? I know I have that sweater. Now I just have to find it in my storage bins.
    Thank you!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

WOW Chris…..I totally forgot about that sweater….,the color and knit should look great….I’m just not sure of the length….it could be fabulous or too long…..maybe belting it?

  53. Tricia

You were spot on with sizing for me..The suede skirt is a perfect fit in the 2X. It fits like you fitted it to only me. The waist band has more stretch than listed by the Q…It slid right over my hips with room to spare.I think I have caught up on my comments for the many recent purchases on the Q. Thanks

  54. Marta

I just received my Plaid blazer and it is stunning. Perfect fit and I love the black/pine plaid. I immediately tried it on with the Ivory blouse with the scarf and the black slim faux suede pants and my husband whistled at me. I feel like one million bucks! Thank you so much for helping us look our very best.

  55. LoveJackets

I was showing off my new plaid jacket to my significant other and he said ‘That’s nice – it has a Ralph Lauren vibe’.
This Ralph Lauren outfit inspires a new look for me with your new plaid boucle jacket.
    https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/ralph-laurens-50th-anniversary-show/34/
Paired with the boho skirt, tall boots and a conch belt. I can’t wait to wear it out!

  56. Sharon

OH goody goody I’ll be waiting for you and Lou production soon.

  57. Sharon

Hello Louis, just one question will there be a sneak peek on upcoming items?

  58. Joanne C

Enjay and Grace – Great idea just wearing tuxedo jacket with statement necklace. I am so looking forward to Louis’s Linea Collection for the Fall and Winter. I bet it will be spectacular!
