Thank you Louis & Jac for 2 wonderful shows.

I laughed & smiled when you mentioned in the cashmere/silk turtleneck presentation about women having different budgets; IE: 50cents & above. I’m on a 50 cent budget and own that turtleneck. I’ve more than blown my 50 cent budget and then some on your beautifully made & budget conscience pieces. I love that you continue to make pieces that coordinate from seasons past.

I would have never attempted to pair the ivory zip jacket from this past summer into my fall/winter wardrobe. Your reference to Richard Gere/Armani/American Gigolo also put a smile on my face and has inspired me to step out of my basic black box.

Can’t wait for Oct! Hope you have a safe trip home and the “Girls” are doing well.

    Again, Thank You!

    Great Show Louis

My husband said it must be love to stay up from 1-3am and then get up for early appoiontments this morning. I missed the afternoon show so I didn’t get the one time only…but everything else was on the website early. Did I miss the V neck tunic length sweather from August show sneek peek? I been looking. Did it sell out before the show?

    Thanks

    Stephanie

    Louis and Jac!
BRAVO!! The two shows today were so much fun! Loved it all. The two of you did an amazing job. You’re the BEST!

  4. designista

Hello Louis…great show this morning! I could have missed it in my groggy state, but I don’t think the item number was ever mentioned for the slim leg petite pant, A218146.

  5. Jean

    Louis,
Loved the show this am. I was wondering why you can’t keep getting the fabulous ponte knit for your line? Is it too expensive for QVC? I think there are plenty of your loyal fans who would pay more for items made in this ponte. I love this fabric and want more!

    1. louisdellolio

Dear Jean, It has nothing to do with QVC. The fabric mill refuses to make it again. They said it was too difficult to make and they had a lot of damages and had to throw a lot of the fabric out which cost them a lot of money, They do not want to take that risk again, We sent the fabric to other mills and they all refused, I am not technical enough to know exactly what the problem is but I’m sure the difficulty in making is is the reason it came out so beautiful.

    Louis,
This morning’s show was a delight to watch, even at 4 a.m.! I loved every second, and managed to load up my cc significantly! I love your designs and I love how you show us how to wear them, even for multiple seasons! You were definitely on your ‘game’! Jac looked lovely. How does she do that at this ungodly hour??? I’d like to put in a appeal for the jet jewelry also – love it. We want all your accessories – (jewelry, scarves, belts – bring ’em on!!).
Great job! – ‘See you’ at 4 today.
    Susan

  7. Yvonne Shafer

What a great show, even if it was at 4 a.m.! I bought 9 items at midnight when the numbers were posted, but was tempted by several more items as they were shown! Now looking forward to the afternoon show to see what else I missed. You and Gabrielle make a good team. She seems to understand your designs and she sure looks good in them. We were all thrilled to hear the shoutouts to your Linea Ladies! Thanks again for bringing your talents to us.

  8. Anne S

    Louis Dell Olio!
How wonderful to see you on television at QVC! The funny thing about it is, I was thinking about you just a couple of days ago! I have no idea why, as I have not thought about you since the 70’s, when i lived in NYC and bought some of your fashions, but I was wondering what you were doing these days.

I was so pleasantly surprised to see you and your current fashion creations today! They are wonderful, as usual! This miracle must mean I will be buying some of your designs. QVC is certainly lucky to have royalty like you designing for them, and your show is excellent.

Meanwhile, it is great to see you and I was happy to read here that you and yours got through the recent weather disasters with no incident. Best always, A

  9. Lois Patrick

    Hi Louis,
I’m watching your 4 a.m. show and have already done much damage to my credit card. However, I am really focusing on your jewelry. I’m gearing up for November for all the Byzantine pieces. On this mornings show there were jet necklaces and I also noticed on Kate large drop black/jet earrings. Just one large black bead on the ear and an even larger dropped hanging bead. Love these–any chance they will be available in November or at some future point? Also any jet necklaces? Absolutely love your designs and will continue to support you.
    Lois

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Lois,
I have no idea if QVC will continue the jewelry line after the pears and Byzantine group are sold……The “Ladies” have said you can get beautiful Austrian glass jet beaded necklaces on E-bay…..I looked and they are 100% correct…..give it a look…..regards, Louis

  10. kate

LDO–there is some confusion about the long V-neck tunic that is listed on the blog as appearing today. Is that on today or being held for Oct? (I think this was the sweater the caller from AL was referring to)….

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

OK, let me clear this up. First neither sweater is scripted into the show…..I will however be using and showing them on the models so everyone can see what they look like. The classic Whisper Knit V-neck in the mallard, black, olive and aubergine, should be avail for ordering today. I do not have the style number with me but It is on one of my posts…..I think it is under my Aug. show details….not sure. The tunic V-neck in the acrylic/wool [as the pencil and new long gored skirt] is not avail for sale yet and I’m not sure when it will be released. It comes in the mallard, cassis, steel gray and black. I hope I have cleared it up. Did you hear my shout out to you or were you asleep?
      ………………….regards, Louis

      1. kate

Got it. Yes, I was watching (there’s a live post on the Q forum) and just thrilled. Barbara nearly passed out!

        1. Barbara in Virginia

LOL! I just saw this. We all had a blast posting in our PJs during the wee small hours. Someone wanted me to call in about the ball necklace. Told them that I couldn’t as I was prostrate after your shout out to me :-). We all were tickled Perfectly Pink about the shout outs and thought they were way cool…

          1. louisdellolio

I too, was tickled P.P to see all of your names come up!It was like….Yeh….my team!

  11. Donna

I’ve become an “expert” on home shopping since I am a plus size and there is nothing in store for me. I have ordered from everybody from clothing to jewelry to household items. Your clothing is the best, classic, well made, sophisticated colors. I love that you make a twinset or tank matching back to your bottoms. I have always dressed in a monochromatic palette with fab jewelry, bags and shoes and I look forward to your upcoming shows.

My one critique is they put you on in the middle of the night and even if I tape the show and wait to watch when I wake up everything is gone. More knee length fashion coats with 3/4 sleeves, toppers, jewelry, please !!!!

  12. Pat

I have been trying to order a pair of pants from QVC.com but unsure if any more are available. The QVC item number ia A214879, convertible cargo pants. I actually need the ivory and chino (especially chino) pants to complete the outfit. I have both jackets and really love the pants. If the chino is not available any longer in these pants, will there be another style in chino that will go with the jacket? Please advise. Love your clothes and wear wonderful!

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Pat,
As of now those pants have not been reordered and I have serious doubts that they will since they were on my May show and it’s now sept…..I think I would have heard. I don’t know yet if there will be another bottom in Chino for this spring, but I will keep it in mind for you! best regards, Louis

  13. ninjasmom

Dear Louis, I have a request.I am retired and would love some casual pants.I have a pair of black pants in the same wool blend as the slim skirt, its from yrs ago.I wear them with all of the boiled wool jackets.Very comfortable and a little more casual. Thank you, have a safe trip

  14. Yvonne Shafer

Louis, I know that the loyal Linea Ladies will be out in force for the Monday shows! Have a safe, uneventful trip this time, please! Would love an outerwear coat. I have a black boucle Linea coat that I think was to be an indoor coat but was warm enough to be an outdoor coat. Just love it! Shearling…mmmmm!

  15. Judi

I can’t believe I missed A91497…what a perfect jacket! Exactly my style.Yes, it was a long while ago, I was “rehabbing” from my leg accident.
I mentioned I would like navy, but olive, forest, spruce, aubergine would also be amazing.
I prefer 3/4 length, long sleeves for a winter outer garment. I’m 5’7.
BTW, add me to blindogs as your other “green” customer…I think I have every article in olive, spruce and forest! The green pearls will be bought by me in a flash!
My eyes are green, blonde hair…green is an excellent color on me.
If you design it, we will buy it!
    Have a safe trip
    Judi

  16. Rhoda

    Louis,
Having a shearling from you would be “the best”. Make it happen, please. I know the bridges and tunnels will be a headache tomorrow. Another adventure for Jac and you. Seriously, stay safe. Waving back at you Monday.

  17. Nancy

Louis, I just wanted to check one more time on this ever since the Q messed up the naming of “pinks” and called a more carnation pink ~ “perfectly pink”. Is the new whisper knit turtleneck in the “perfectly pink” – the color that matches the perfectly pink boho?

    1. louisdellolio

Yes, the turtleneck will be in the perfectly pink. The only thing that came in the carnation pink was the chain print group. I will give you a sneak peek of it on the 4pm show.

  18. Judi

    Hi Louis-
I, too, vote for more outerwear, navy would be wonderful! And faux fur trimmed…fabulous!

A question about the lovely jewelry (I can hardly wait!). How long is the Byzantine necklace? I’m thinking maybe I need two!

See you and Jac on Monday-
    Judi

    1. louisdellolio

I knew someone would ask me this question but, I’m afraid it’s all packed for the QVC shows. You will get to see it on the models. It is longer than the cross and I personally like it worn long, not doubled….I think it shows better that way. Anyway you will see it Monday………..regards, Louis

  19. nikki

    Louis,
I absolutely love the sapphire blue color in the jacket from the last show ( by the way, I did order the olive also and love it with my olive print boho) WIll you be doing any other pieces in the sapphire blue color. I would love to see more of it. Thankyou for such beautiful pieces.

    1. louisdellolio

Nothing is planned in that color. It is a one of a kind, but I agree it came out beautiful. I think it had a lot to do with the fabric. In another fabric it could look ordinary. I will definitely keep it in mind if I find another fabric I think it will look special in……regards, Louis

      1. Sheesh

Hi, Louis, I’m one of the lucky ones you snagged that A91497 jacket and it is fabulous! I’d buy it in another color, too—preferably RED!

I missed both shows today—can’t believe that happened! I’ll have to watch the videos and keep a look out for some of the items to pop back into inventory…..sigh……..

        Sheesh/Sheila

  20. LauraL

I just checked out that coat and I must have missed it when it came out because I don’t have it and would have loved it. I would love to see some outerwear jackets either hip length or 3/4 length. I would like fawn, olive, navy, or aubergine.

I would have to agree on the returns -ordered two sizes since at that point in time I don’t think there were click here measurements which I rely on heavily to pick the right size since every body type is different.

  21. enjay

Louis I second this request! I own the coat in black and it’s one of my favorite pieces ever. How chic would this be in camel, with leather buttons?

I remember that this sold out in a flash. If there were returns, i have to believe some folks ordered two sizes and kept one – cause this coat is perfect!

  22. kate

Oh, please do ask if she could make this happen. I just know the Q customers would be all over it.

    1. louisdellolio

Ah yes, I remember it well. It was actually supposed to be a reorder but, once again the fabric mill refused to make it again. The jacket was originally supposed to come in black and purple, which was gorgeous, but the fabric was all streaky and could not be cut. I redid this jacket in cotton after that…it sold out but wasn’t reordered. It’s the same old story. If a jacket sells out and has a big wait list and there are returns the wait list gets filled. ….so on the site it remains sold out. All the additional handling and reshipping kills it. What I don’t get is why the first buyers return it and the people on wait list keep it?
I will be doing a similar jacket this coming spring, single breasted, no trench flaps…..but the same body in a window pane print on cotton sateen…..it has 3/4 sleeves with tabs [I can hear the moan in Ct…..yes…3/4 sleeves] it is cute as a button! But that’s in the far far future.
Back to the subject…..short coat? 3/4coat? any and all?

      1. kate

        1. I think people buy and return because they are forced, by limited availability, to make a snap decision whereas those who wait list have the benefit of customer reviews (especially with regard to sizing and fit) and so can make an informed choice. It’s the Q’s own fault, but unfortunately the rest of us pay for it.

        2. Shearling; I would love both a short belted fitted jacket with nice lapels and a 3/4 coat with a bit of ease to allow layering. I know, I want it all!

      2. Carol

Sizing is another reason people return and the waitlist people keep them. This goes back once more to the limited inventory where some feel pressured to buy two sizes to see which fits. Also on sweaters and other knits, the click here garment measurements are not the same as the fit measurements–so if it says 34 and your bust is 35 you order up, but really the 34 does fit you, which you find out when you get a sweater with arms too long and a neck too wide.

Just some thoughts. Not that you can do anything about how people order.

        crdlb

        1. louisdellolio

That is a common mistake women make when ordering sweaters. Sweater will more likely be smaller in measurements than a woven garment because a sweater has much more stretch. If you ordered a sweater to match you measurements it will be big…..except for Milano knits which are more like a double knit fabric. It will be what it will be. Many get annoyed when something isn’t reordered and it looks to be very successful, and it was successful but, not in the way that qualifies it to become a reorder. There are somethings that are reordered that surprise me and they may not have been sellouts…..but the returns were low so there are no added costs. It’s all very complicated…….regards, Louis

  23. louisdellolio

    Dear Kate,
I would have to ask my manufacturer if she has the right people to do it well. I would love to since at one point in my career, not long ago I did three lines of outerwear for a wonderful furrier. Luxe coats, which were fur trimmed coats, Shearlings, and Couture Furs………Why don’t I remember a navy coat?

  24. kate

Louis–I have the navy blue wool coat you did for us a few years ago and love it. So, I am making a request for more outwear–in particular I would love a Linea faux shearling jacket or coat. Would that be possible?

  25. Deb aka jazz

On other forums I’ve been on, people have needed permission to cross-post anyone’s comments. Do we have your permission to cross-post your comments from here, say for instance, on the Linea forum? Just double checking.

    1. louisdellolio

Dear Deb, it really depends what the comments are if it’s information like the length of the petite pant….yes….if it’s of a personal nature…no. If you have any question about something you would like to cross-post ask me first.
      …….regards, Louis

      1. Deb aka jazz

No, I just wondered when I see “news” copied and pasted from here to there if you were okay with that–nothing that I specifically want to post. Thanks!

        1. louisdellolio

Yes. if you want to post my blogs , like my most recent “GREAT NEWS” and the pictures go right ahead……

  26. Sandi

Louis, Thank you so much for your quick reply! I’ll pass it on. Best, Sandi

  27. Sandi

Louis, I’m confused again about the V-necks (classic and tunic) In your reply to me you mention both will be shown, but the tunic will be available later in the season. Will both be available for ordering on Monday, or only the classic, with the tunic at a later date? I have mentioned on the boards the ‘later’ and don’t want to post incorrectly. Thank you so much for clarifying! Sincerely, Sandi

    1. louisdellolio

Sorry for the confusion…..only the classic V-neck sweater A217629, will be avail for ordering on Monday……I am showing the V-neck tunic as a “sneak peek” so you all can see it because I never know if these essentials will get air time or just be sold on line. Originally the cardigan and tank were just supposed to be avail on line only but, they were given air time [for those who still had power and weren’t affected by Irene]. The Classic V neck will be avail to order on Monday but, will not have air time on the show. I don’t know when the v-neck tunic will be avail to order…..I haven’t been told yet. I hope this clears up any confusion…….regards, Louis

  28. Marianne Fabricatore

    Hi Louis,

Do you know if the mock neck sweater is in any of the September shows? I can’t wait to be able to order it. Thanks again for the wonderful clothes.

    1. louisdellolio

No it is not and I don’t know when QVC is going to release it for selling???????

      1. Marianne

        Mr. Dell’Olio,

Thank you for getting back to me. I’ll keep checking. Have wonderful shows. I’ll be watching.

  29. Carol in FL

Ebay seller “dessertprincess10” has 2 link necklaces and 2 link bracelets that are similar to the ones you offered a short while ago, along with a pair of earrings. I don’t recognize any of these pieces–they are similar, but not identical. Are they yours????

    1. louisdellolio

How do I get to see them? Do I type in dessertprincess on e-bay?….or else can you provide a link.

      1. Carol

If you do a search for Louis Dell’Olio it will come up (sort by newly listed so it’s on the first page.)

        crdlb

      2. Carol in FL

        Hi Louis,

Here is the item number for one of the necklaces: 200650853954. Once you get to that item’s page go to the upper right hand corner and in the box click on “See Other Items” and it will take you to the seller’s other listings where you will be able to see the other Louis Dell’Olio items for sale. They look like your work but are they???

Enjoy the weekend and have a safe trip to QVC. I’ll see you on Monday!

        Carol

      3. Carol in FL

        Hi Louis,

I just checked ebay again and “dessertprincess10” has 3 of the items listed and “grannyapple28” has the other two. The item number for one of the bracelets is 220849530558. Hope this helps.

        Carol

        1. louisdellolio

          Carol….when I go to E-bay do I type in dessertprincess10 and grannyapple28?

          1. Carol in FL

            Hi Louis,

Sorry for the confusion. The easiest way to find those items is go to http://www.ebay.com. In the search box type “louis dell” and tab over to the next box where it says “categories.” Use the drop down arrow and scroll down to “jewelry and watches.” Click on search and all of them will come up. Hope this helps!

            Carol

            1. louisdellolio

Dear Carol….not confusing at all….as Jac would say….sometimes I’m a little dense. I did find the jewelry and they are all rejected samples……but before you think about biding please read my new blog………”GREAT NEWS” which I just posted.

            2. Carol in FL

              Hi Louis,

That’s wonderful news! I was so hoping that you would be able to bring the Byzantine pieces and pearls to us. Thank you!!!! See you on Monday.

              Carol

  30. Sandi

Thank you Louis!! I’m ecstatic and will be buying all 4 colors on Monday. Thank you for designing “something for everyone.” Also I appreciate your quick reply and including the colors–which I noted in both styles in case anyone on the forums asks. (I don’t know how to post links but I know how to take notes!) Have a great week-end although I know you will be crazy busy. Hi to Jac! Best, Sandi

  31. Sandi

Louis, Have two V-neck Q’s: (1) Is there “one” V-neck Essential, the upcoming Tunic? Or is there an Essential V-neck in “regular length” also? Being very short, I adore a V-neck, but generally shy away from tunics. I was so hoping there would be a regular length V-Neck sweater. The Essential 3/4 sleeeve jewel neck sweater is a bit long for me, however it works beautifully. How does the tunic length compare to that one? TIA. (2) An early request for next Spring….I lived in the animal print V-neck tees (both colors) this summer. (it’s cool here) LOVE them, and hope and pray you will do more of the exact size and material, in any print or color. Possible? Looking forward to your shows of course!!
    Sincerely, Sandi

    1. louisdellolio

Dear Sandi……there are two V-neck essentials. a classic V-neck in the whisper knit in Olive Mallard blue, Black and Aubergine, that will be avail on line this Monday and a second one that is a tunic in the acrylic and wool. This will be avail later in the season in Black, steel gray, cassis and mallard blue. I will be showing both of them on my shows this Monday……regards, Louis

  32. Inna

    Hello, Louis
I have a question regarding the upcoming show. Is an item A217986(long gored skirt in acrylic/wool blend) is the same skirt that Kate had on with the fawn shell during your August show?? Thank you in advance for your reply….best regards, Inna.

  33. nyc1

Hi Louis. I just received so many beautiful things that I ordered from your collections, from tanks and shells, to boho skirts and jackets. I love everything. EVERYTHING! My only negative comment is that I had to send two jackets back from my most recent purchases, for exchange (thankfully they still had them in my size). The labels were sewn UP, rather than to lay flat against the back of the garment. No matter how much I tried to fix the problem, it was unfixable, since the natural direction based on how it was sewn in, was for the Linea label to stay in the up direction so that you saw the back side. This has also happened recently on several other things. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, have your QC group check into this. I never want to risk having to return an item, and not having it in stock in my size for exchange. Since I want to wear one of my jackets to an event next weekend, QVC has graciously agreed to send out a jacket for me, and let me return the one in my posession (with the bad label) once I receive the new jacket. The up label is my only issue.
Thank you for such magnificent garments. I’ve given everything 5 stars on my reviews, and have asked QVC for more colors on a number of things, and have also written to them to give you a TSV and better time slots. You are PRIME TIME all the way, and your Linea ladies LOVE YOU. All the best. xoxo
P.S. I’m hoping for some beautiful suedes and leather jackets for Fall/Winter, and adore the long 6 panel skirts that you do. I have EVERY COLOR….. how about a deep plum?

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear nyc1,
I am so pleased you are happy with your purchases…..sorry about the label snafu. I can’t imagine how an operator could sewn the label going up instead of down? That really is a difficult one to catch since an individual sewing operator made the mistake but, I certainly will notify them of the problem.I hope you enjoy the shows on Monday…..there are some really fabulous things…
      …………..regards, Louis

  34. Susana (Suzzeee)

Hi Louis – I haven’t been wearing your clothing for all that long (love my LDO pieces btw) so you may have done this in years past, but I would love, love, love your perfect turtleneck in a cowl neck! Or the cashmere/silk one in a cowl would be even more fabulous!! Any plans for that?

    1. louisdellolio

Dear Susanna, I actually did a cowl sweater in the silk cashmere quite a few years ago….it can in black and purple . Jac wears it every winter. I would love to do it or something like it again….I’m afraid the buyers would think its too expensive as the yarn has gone way up.I think this may be the last year for the turtleneck unless it sells out…………regards, Louis

  35. ninjasmom

Hello Louis,Today I received the animal print topper jacket from your last shows. It is FABULOUS> I wore it when I took my mother to her Drs appointment and got lots of compliments, the fit is perfect! Thanks you

  36. Parisa (wishd4it)

    Hi Louis.

I am excited about your show on Monday. Excited about the long knit skirt as I am a fan of the longer skirts.

Could you let us know what dates in October your shows will be? I am a nurse & have to plan my schedule ahead of time–don’t want to miss you!

Also, will the Espresso Cashmere T-neck match with the Cassis skirt?

Thanks in advance, & God bless,
    Parisa

    1. louisdellolio

My shows in Oct are on the 13th at 5am to 7am and at 6pm. The espresso turtle neck is a dark brown and the cassis is a magenta color so they do not match at all but I so love them worn together…..dk brown tights and brown boots.

      1. Parisa (wishd4it)

Thank you Louis. That is exactly how I wanted to wear those pieces. Nice tooled brown belt to go with…Happy that I have the designer’s approval! 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend.

  37. Barbara in Virginia

Hi, Louis! I also sent you a message on your Facebook site. Don’t know what is going on, but I have not been getting my message notifications there. Gremlins!!! As always, Barbara

  38. Old Grumpy

    Hi, Louis,

    Old Grumpy here.

Barbara found a great Louis Dell’Olio men’s cashmere topcoat on ebay that I am considering buying. It can be viewed at http://www.ebay.com/itm/300594947907?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
The seller describes it as “The person it belonged to wore a men’s medium shirt, sizes 15 1/2 32/33….chest 24″ armpit to armpit — length 48″ top of shoulder to hem in front”
I can wear a medium shirt as described. I have been shedding weight at a great rate, but right now am still at 208 lbs with a 43″ waist and a 42″ chest (at the armpits).
Do you think your coat would fit me? (You can assume I’ll drop at least a few more pounds and inches.)
I only have until noon tomorrow to decide. The price would be between $100 and $200, never worn.
    Thanks,
    Old Grumpy

    1. louisdellolio

Hi Grumps….nice to hear from you. The guy that owned it had a 15 1/2 neck and a 32″ sleeve length……I haven’t had those measurements since I was 16 years old. I honestly don’t think you are a medium. Is you shirt size comparable? What do you usually buy in a jacket. I have big shoulders so I need XL just to fit the shoulder but my waist and your waist are about the same. I know it’s tempting. The coat was purchased at SYMS…….and all of my product is made in Italy. Since Mr. Syms has passed away I no longer am doing a menswear line for them…..if you have a Syms near you you should check it out…..the prices are extremely reasonable and my product is very well made. I would pass on the coat. I think it will be too small…..especially if you want to wear it over a blazer when Barbara drags you out to a concert.

      1. Old Grumpy

        Thanks, Louis.
The seller is supposed to provide additional measurements which may help me decide — arm length and waist measurement. So far, she has said the coat is 26″ across from armpit to armpit. Doubling that would give 52″, wouldn’t it? That sounds big for a medium.
I currently wear a 16 1/2 32/33 shirt comfortably. In a jacket it’s hard to say. The last two suit jackets were bespoke tailoring. The last two outerwear items were XL or 46/48, but I have a ton of room inside them now.
Thanks for your help. If I get more data I’ll get back to you.

        1. Old Grumpy

Mistake. The armpit-to-armpit measurement she gave was 24″.

          1. Old Grumpy

Here are the rest of the measurements the seller provided. Taken all together, what do you think? Would it fit a 42/44 size guy?

shoulder seam (top) to shoulder seam across back 20″ straight line across, not going over the top
sleeve length – shoulder seam top to sleeve hem, about 24 3/4″
about 22″ (perhaps a little more) across front at second button, side seam to side seam

            1. louisdellolio

I think the best thing to do is measure one of your jackets and or coats and compare…it it is the same or bigger go for it if it is smaller I’d pass

            2. Barbara in Virginia

Louis, I’m suggesting that he put on one of the jackets he had tailored for him then put a coat on over it to see what kind of ease he needs. After seeing a closet full of your clothes for me he wants some of his own 🙂 Thanks so much for your help! Barbara

            3. Old Grumpy

Shucks. Someone jumped in and bought it at the asking price. I will console myself with the fact it probably would not have fit. Thank you for all you help and advice even as you are gearing up for another show.

  39. enjay

Louis, I was wondering if there is any way you can bring back another “oldie but goodie” favorite of mine – A59316. It’s another perfect piece – a long, slim silk shirt. I have it in ivory – such a luscious shade that over the years has become even creamier. I remember first wearing it to a holiday party years ago. I wore it to another party on Saturday night, with the sleeves rolled up, skinny dark jeans, very high heels – and my husband said I looked like a long cool drink of water. Now that’s my definition of a great shirt! Any chance you could do something like this again? I know your ladies would go nuts over it.

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Enjay,
I no longer have this sample but, I will look it up for you……regards, Louis

  40. Rhoda

Louis, I sent you a message at your FB site concerning a problem with the straight leg and slim leg pants.

    1. louisdellolio

I will notify my manufacturer and buyer but I don’t know what they can do about it since the pant sold out and all are shipped…..thanks, Louis

      1. Rhoda

Is the problem at the Q’s end or the manufacturer? Ladies are receiving the wrong style. For example, someone ordered the fawn medium straight leg pant. She didn’t realize it, but what she got in the clear bag was a slim pant. I don’t know what size. I could tell from the description that is what she received. Someone else had a similar problem, and again it was with the fawn color. Now I don’t know if the problem is only with the fawn. However, on Monday we ladies will be ordering the slim pants. I am wondering if they all will be slim, or if the straight leg pants were misnamed as slims in the packaging. Otherwise, there are going to be many returns for the pants. The ladies who received what they really wanted, for the most part, seem to love the pants. However, if this problem causes many returns then reordering of the pants will not happen. Any suggestions?

        1. Rhoda

I forgot to mention. Some were receiving petite slim, when they ordered regular straight leg.

        2. louisdellolio

That is a difficult question to answer since I don’t have all the facts. As I said, I have notified QVC and my manufacturer about the posts I have been receiving……………….regards, Louis

  41. Dariann

    Louis,

Your September lineup sounds fabulous! When will you be offering your new chenille jacket – I MUST have it in purple and what skirts would you pair with it?

Can hardly wait to “see” you & Jac,
    Dariann

    1. louisdellolio

It is due for my Oct. show….God willing. The purple looks great with my grape velvet pencil skirt that was avail. It also looks great with a faux suede gored skirt also coming in Oct….in purple…..my essential ponte knit pencil in gray or black……It really will go with many things…..think of it as a sportswear blazer….it looks great with jeans……regards, Louis

  42. kate

Did I read somewhere that you will be on PM Style this Monday (9/12) following your afternoon show?

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Kate,
No I have not been invited to be on PM Style…..I think you must have dreamed it……………LDO

            1. louisdellolio

I just looked at the thread….5 pages…that’s very nice to see, quite an endorsement.

  43. Noramae

    Louis,

Cannot wait until September 12th – it will be wonderful. I am so excited – all my purchases will be birthday presents. My husband wants to buy “me something” – he just is not aware of the “many something(s)” I have in mind.

Louis, a suggestion – on your shows Jac and the girls wear your beautiful jewelry – why not point them out? I have noticed the other “designers” always slide in the jewelry they are selling. Your jewelry is outstanding.(As is everything you do!!)

Warmest wishes to you and Jac,

    Noramae

  44. Inna

    Hi Louis,
I would like to buy A210358 in black, and I remember that you’ve mentioned on your website that asymmetrical zip front suede jacket will be reordered in black. Do you have any idea when this jacket will be available? ..best regards, Inna.
Thank you in advance for your reply.

    1. louisdellolio

The jacket will be avail in Oct. but it was not reordered in Black……just Purple and the new Spruce Green…..I will have a new suede jacket coming in Oct too. That will be avail in black. Sorry for the disappointment…………regards, Louis

  45. Beano

Dear Louis: When are you going to post the info about Sunday’s show?

    1. louisdellolio

SOON, I wanted to make sure I knew exactly what was going to be on it first so there were no disappointments later…..regards, Louis

      1. Carol

Good luck with that ! LOL

Looking forward to seeing what might be in the show and what I might be fast enough to order to before it sells out!

    Hi Louis,

I would love to buy a sequin tank this season, to add a little somethin’-somethin’ to a black blazer and jeans/trousers. Any chance that you’re bringing us any sequin items? Cause that would be the best!

    1. louisdellolio

Dear Enjay, You wish is my command. On my Oct show I will have a beauty. It’s not exactly a tank….it is a sleeveless cowl neck with baby sequins all over…front…and….BACK!It is made in my crinkle georgette [like the boho] and will come in black with black sequins and black with gunmetal sequins…..it is made beautifully and even has a front “tank” liner in the same fabric for modesty…………regards, Louis

      1. enjay

I’m so glad I asked! I won’t spend one more second looking anywhere else – this sounds fabulous!

October sounds like it’s going to be a great show – I already know I want the chenille boyfriend jacket in both the grey and the fawn. Can’t wait to see what else you have up your sleeve.

  47. Somertime

Louis, answered prayers! Thank you so very much for my black and pearl jacket. It is lovely. I ordered a smaller size based on the click here meaurements and it fits beautifully. The new fabric is softer than the original so the drape of the jacket becomes a softer fit. As you explained, the original boucle is now not possible. I realize the restriction placed on you by QVC and appreciate your efforts in giving us a version of the jacket that we all loved. I do not understand some of the negative comments but then one always bites the hand that feeds! I like the idea of having two pearl jackets in the same family and not having twins. I purchased the cassis top based on your reccommendations and am very pleased with it and you were correct that it works wonderfully with the eggplant and pearl jacket. I purchased the new slim pants in fawn and the fit for me is fabulous! I love the narrower leg. I am 5’9″ and the length is perfect, too. In fact, the cassis top, fawn pants look great with the eggplant and pearl jacket. I can not wait for your slim pants coming in late September. I will order the cassis skirt as well. All your efforts are appreciated and because of you it makes it possible for me who lives in Florida to look and dress as if I was still in Manhattan. You can take the girl out of the city but you can not take the city out of the girl. Enjoy your holiday!

  48. Bernadine

Some one posted that Steel Gray was a warm grey. Somehow I can’t put “grey” and “warm” together. Loved to look of the knit skirt and new sweater that was previewed on your last show but being a warmed tone lady have usually kept away from greys as they wash me out. Thanks in advance.

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Bernadine,
There are many shades and tones of gray. Cool grays all have degrees of blue. Warm grays have yellow in them…..French grays are taupe grays. If you ever come across magic markers in a store that has art supplies, they usually have small paper pads where you can test the colors. That would be the best way to see the differences. I think the steel gray sweater which I think we are calling pewter [which is a warm gray] ,would work for you…………regards, Louis

      1. Bernadine

Thanks so much!! I’ll be getting the sweater and matching skirt along with some other things..

  49. Hi Louis
    Me again !
I was wondering if there are going to be any Perfectly Pink sweaters coming up this Fall/Winter ??

    1. louisdellolio

Yes! The turtleneck, the knit pencil skirt….at 26 inches and two others, one in whisper knit and one in the acrylic to match the skirt……regards, Louis

  50. kate

Louis–I know it’s way to soon for this, but if the pucker top sells well, could we please have it in navy? I love, love this fabric and want more, more.

    1. Celia

The pucker fabric is to die for! I got it in cassis and it is the coolest!

      1. louisdellolio

I am so glad you like it as much as do. So far the reviews have been mixed. Someone even thought it was lined….which it isn’t. Don’t forget to write your review……thanks, Louis

        1. Celia

I wrote one this afternoon- Should show up soon!

          1. Barbara in Virginia

I’m another fan of the new puckered fabric, Louis! Have been with family this weekend but will write my reviews soon. Thanks so much again from bringing us our treasured Linea! As always, Barbara

    2. louisdellolio

      Dear Kate,
I would love to offer this top in many colors, Spruce green, Steel gray, Olive and Navy too. I really love this top with the separate cowl but, the reaction was very mixed…..it is a very love/hate reaction. That always happens when something new and unusual is introduced. I doubt if this top will be coming back so I would suggest get the colors you want that are avail. There will be a fabulous suit in a similar fabric coming in Dec…………regards, Louis

  51. Judy

Louis, we really need those shirts in red and yellow to wear with denim. Love your clothes.

  52. Parisa (wishd4it)

Love those color suggestions! I would order those shirts in ANY new colors!

  53. nikki

    hello Louis,
I just wanted to let you know, I got the “shantung” jacket in sapphire. It is georgous. I will be getting the olive. The fit is wonderful and one can wear it dressy or casual with jeans. I have some raw silk items, this compares to it, the fabric is just lovely. Thankyou for designing such a beautiful piece.
I will be posting a review.

    regards

    1. louisdellolio

Dear Nikki, I really like this fabric. It is the closest thing I have come across to the real think. In some ways I even like it better because it is a little heavier…..better for tailoring. There is a silk/wool shantung that this quality reminds me of that is beautiful but, it’s VERY expensive. Please don’t forget tp leave your review on the Linea QVC site…..thanks, Louis

      1. blinddogs

Ditto from me on the faux shantung jacket in olive. An absolute homerun! I’d love to see a tank in that fabric in olive, too. Off to write a review.– blinddogs

  54. Jules

    Hi Louis,
Would love the Kate in a pale lavender, the same as your ruffled tank this summer. I love lavender with olive, grey, brown, and navy. The Robyn I would love in either black or pink. I’m drooling just imagining. 🙂

  55. ninjasmom

Hi Louis,Would love PP shirt in either style. And red is always a good choice. Thanks for asking!

  56. Terri

    Yellow-Robyn
    Chino/khaki-Kate
    Red-Robyn

    1. Susana (Suzzeee)

I’d love to see the white reordered in either one

Second color choice… for either… a beautiful silvery grey

  57. LauraL

    Hi

Just received my ribbon and pearl jacket in black and I can’t (well I can given it is your design) how beautifully made and well tailored the jacket is. The jacket is stunning. Thank you. I had missed out on the original jacket but not this one. I am really glad personally that this one has long sleeves (I may have to hem) but I prefer this to the 3/4 sleeve for my body type.

I also received the petite pants in all three colors and love the fit. I am still waiting on the pucker top and the cardigans/tanks but I am sure I wll love those as well.

Can’t wait for the September shows – chenille jacket has my name on it as well as the slim pants and well everything.

    1. louisdellolio

I’m very happy you are pleased with everything so far. I am sure you will love the cardigans and tanks. I hope you love the pucker top as much as I do. Be sure to write your comments on the Linea QVC site…………regards, Louis

  58. Cathy

    Dear Louis,

I really love your fashions; wonderful colors, fabrics and fits, even on a petite plus sized lady such as me … it’s still a surprise each time to open that package and find something that fits, looks good and makes me feel elegant. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙂

Question, with apologies if this has been asked before: I was lucky enough to order A216528 Brushed Cotton Jacket in black, and it is terrific. The Olive (in 3X) was “sold out” almost immediately, and fall isn’t even close to here yet … is there ANY hope that jacket might become available again?

Thank you again for all your hard work; it is MUCH appreciated.

    Cathy in PA

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Cathy,
I am so pleased you are happy with the clothes. It is too early to know if the jacket will be reordered. It takes 3hree months after the it is presented to know if it is a reorder candidate. If it is, it won’t be avail until next year.
      …………regards, Louis

      1. Cathy

        Dear Louis,

Thank you so much for the quick reply. I’ll have to make sure to be quicker to order next time 🙂 I’ll keep my eye out just in case, and I’m sure you’ll have many more items I’ll enjoy in the meantime.

Glad to read that you weathered the hurricane in Connecticut safely; I have a cousin in CT who manned the ham radio communications at the emergency center in CT for 24 hours during the storm.

        Warmest Regards,

        Cathy in PA

        1. Claudia (chprsp)

Cathy in Pa, if you read this pass on my thanks to your cousin. My daughter and her family are in CT. My late father was a ham radio operator for many years.
          Also in PA.

        2. louisdellolio

          Dear Cathy,
I’m sure he helped a lot of people and made them feel a little safer.

  59. Judi

    Hi Louis-
I’m thrilled with the items I ordered. The fabric and fit of the slacks are superb, I love the new colors of the whisper knits and the “shantung” jacket is exquisite. I can’t imagine anyone would think it was not silk…just wonderful!
I’m curious about the quilted jackets. I will be getting the olive and bronze (I have a Burberry black). Are you going to have any matching pieces for the bronze one? If not, it should go very well with olive, navy, brown, and of course black.
    As always-
    Judi

    1. louisdellolio

I am so happy you like everything! You are the first review I have seen on the shantung jacket….that fabric was a real find! The quilted jacket is fabulous. There aren’t any matching pieces to the bronze which is sort of a deep camel/tobacco color. Since all the jackets are piped in black,….of course black will work but you can wear any color under this jacket……you can even do an accent color…claret, magenta, mallard blue, cassis and don’t forget the aubergine that I love with everything. If you love your Burberry you will flip for this at 1/8th of the price……regards, Louis

  60. Tylerpoo

I can’t find an answer to a previous question, will you have any pants or skirts in the mallard and cassis color other than the gore or knit pencil skirt.? Maybe a non-knit pencil skirt?

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Tylerpoo,
I did not see your question before. No the only two skirts in those colors are the two knits……..regards, Louis

  61. louisdellolio

    Dear gardensla,
I’m not sure where your comment about your new Burberry suit disappeared to but, I’m sure you look incredible in it. I just saw a Burberry ad in one on the new Sept. fashion mags and it is a mighty pretty suit. I think the designer for Burberry has done a magnificent job. I don’t mind being the “low” in the high/low….as long as it looks “HIGH”……….regards, Louis

    1. kate

It is an astonishingly close match to the Burberry suit. Maybe next fall you could bring us a few tweed items?

      1. louisdellolio

A wool tweed at this price range….I don’t think I would find anything you would wear LOL….. but, I’m always looking………LDO

        1. kate

I hate that it keeps coming around to some arbitrary price point. Macy’s, Bloomies, etc don’t seem to have any trouble moving the Lauren green label, DKNY, or the Calvin Klein diffusion line which would be comparable to your clothing. Another battle (w/Q) for another day!

  62. JazzDiva

    Louis,

As usual I thoroughly enjoyed your last show. I am very interested in the sneak peek cardi that you showed in the steel grey. I wanted to know what colors it will come in and what is the fabrication. I also want to know whether there will be any matching tanks to coordinate with it. I think you posted about it earlier this week but the post seems to have disappeared. Thanks!

    1. louisdellolio

      Hello,
The cardigan is in the acrylic/wool blend. It is the same yarn as the knit pencil skirt. The cardigan is part of my Sept. Essential group which consists of the cardigan, a V-neck tunic, a long gored skirt and the pencil skirt, The colors for all of the pieces are Black, Steel Gray, Cassis and Mallard Blue. There are no matching tanks……………regards, Louis

  63. Noramae

    Louis,

There is not a designer out there that compare to you! I love your clothes – the Perfectly Pearl jacket is breathtaking. Is it too dressy for the office? Cannot wait for your next show – I told my husband I needed to set the alarm for 4am on September 12th. He looked at me, but I said “Louis is on” He calls you “my designer”. And he is correct.

Thank God you and Jac are alright after Irene’s visit. We also live in CT (the Northwest corner), but, God was good to us as well.

Hugs to Jac, your beautiful wife!!

    Noramae

    1. louisdellolio

      Dear Noramae,
It really depends on the office and the business. You can wear it with the white cotton shirt and black jeans or pants and for some work places it would fit right in. If you worked, for example , for a construction or electrical company…..it may be a little to dressy….if you worked for a plastic surgeon, it would be perfect……Of course my attitude is….who cares…if you want to wear it to the grocery store….go ahead!
