I’m saving my dollars for all the new wonderful things. I know I won’t be disapointed. Love your line!! !
Love the name POSH KNIT……. short and to the point….. anxious to see
Hi Louis, Can you give us a breakdown of the components of the posh knit? How much is cashmere, silk and whatever else will be included in the garment? Thanks so much.
Dear Bcmm, please read my reply to Chris. I have been using this yarn for a turtleneck for a few years which has been reordered and will be avail again. If this is new to you, I suggest you read the reviews. It really is a wonderful yarn.
Hi Louis, Know you’re busy. I’ll be brief. There’s a Claret/Black jacket coming in Sept. in a check fabric–blazer or cute moto like the purple/black from last Fall?
And, the Ruby and Ivory tweed jacket will be what style? I am such a jacket-aholic I can’t help myself. (Especially your styles).
Thanks, Happy weekend to you and Jac.
The check is more of a black/camel/claret and it is a type of single button riding jacket….the ruby/ivory is a three button blazer.
Any jackets coming this month?
YES….but you have to wait for the sneak peeks
Louis,
Are you giving us a new color in the sunburst skirt? I thought I remembered you saying that, but it may be wishful thinking on my part.
Love the “Posh Knit”. So looking forward to all your new goodies!!!!
Thank you for everything you do for us.
Judy Ann
Dear Judy…..I’m afraid not…..no reorder there.
Hi
You said the leather jacket & knit sleeves will be in Bordeaux .
You also mentioned a leather jacket & knit with zippers.
What color will that be in? Would love to get a different style – I have black in the other
Thanx & can’t wait
Black, Ruby and Forrest Green
Oh be still my heart! I have last year’s leather/knit jacket in black AND green, as well as your beautiful faux fur zip front, but now I want this new jacket in ruby red. And I live in a warm climate. Louis, you make me lose all reason!
Dear Louis, Your fall line up sounds incredible! I hope QVC stops using the live models for the photos, especially for your OLO. Those photos are so bad, and where do they get those models? There have only been three photos I thought were done well. I find my self looking at the ugly shoes and bad hair days. It would be difficult to make your beautiful designs look any worse. With the old white mannequins I knew exactly how the clothes were going to fit on me. That one arm on the hip was a constant guide to know how the length would be. Is there a correlation with the photos of the live models bringing better sales?
Dear designista…..I had to chuckle after reading your comment about the “live models”. Everyone was pushing for live models because the mannequin with the hand on hips distorted everything…..be careful what you wish for. I particularly like the photo of the FJ maxi skirt with the two feet close together in those horrible shoes with the toes pointing up. She looks like the wicked witch of the east just before the house fell on her. I don’t know where these models come from or who styles there hair and mack up, if anyone, but the fact that there is even a negative discussion about them is not a good thing. This is not a step up IMHO.
The only one I like in the feather jersey pictures at the Q is that cute little blondie modeling the feather jersey button front shirt! They can reuse HER anytime.
Hi Louis…I don’t know if you watch Project Runway, but this week’s winner made a jacket and shorts from a material that looked very similar to your last season’s tweed jacket. I have both of them, wore them frequently, but I don’t remember the colors. The “winning design” was closer to the “rust” colored jacket. Love them both! Thanks for all you do for us.
Dear Louis: The Navy Pearls are my dream come true!
Bronze is on my wish list.
Thank you.
Me2… patiently waiting for bronze.
Me3
Cream pearls sold out as of this morning. Betting purple is not far behind….
I can tell you they are ALL getting limited….you gave everyone, as I did, fair warning………….
I think it is fair.
I think you’re right….I corrected it.
Hi Louis
Love a235307 in the cocoa dress but sold out in xs. Any chance for reorder
No chance at all…..You really should try another color….they are all beautiful.
I highly recommend the cherry combo. It’s much richer and more wearable than the image on the Q would lead you to believe!
IT will also look great with the reorder leather/knit blazer in the new Bordeaux color.
Omigosh! Don’t tell me this. I have pined for your suede merlot jacket in my size, and now a lovely substitute is on its way. Good grief, so much beauty.
Hello Louis, I’m am so happy to see the whisper knit sweater and skirt set in the violet color. I ordered the violet so all I will need is the skirt. Now do I need to order the lapis sweater too. I will need the sweaters to match the skirts so how many colors are available in that skirt? I know you don’t like the questions but some ladies need to plan because some of us are not impulsive and need to plan our wardrobes for fall, winter. I hope that maybe a navy and black set would be available sometime.
Dear Sharon…..I am not trying to be coy by not giving out information, but I do not like to give out too much info too early, because you never know what can happen to the merchandise coming from China to QVC I do not want to get you all excited, and then be disappointed. Can you imagine if I had given you a blow by blow descriptions of the WK group that was for last fall, and then have to tell everyone, as I did, that they were all destroyed because of a flooded warehouse due Super Storm Sandy!!. It’s best to wait for the merchandise to be shipped and in the warehouses of QVC. I will tell you that there are 8 new WK sweaters planned for OLO, the skirt being one of them, and it will be in 6 colors…..plus there are additional WK sweaters that will be presented on air….reorders such as the ballet neck tunic, the waist whittling sweater and of course the TN. There is also, I think, one new that will be presented on air. Each of the OLO WK sweaters will be avail in 5 colors each but……there are 10 colors total that are distributed among the 8 styles, so not every sweater comes in every color………..and this is just for the WK program…..Then there is the Silk/Cashmere OLO group in 5 styles and 6 colors again not every style will be in every color…..one of the styles is a long oblong scarf which does comes in every color…..so you will always have a sweater and scarf to match….how LUXE is that!!! Then there is the extensive Ponte Knit OLO group…….and these are just the OLO clothes…..so you see the fall line is going to be huge from now until the end of Dec…..with many jackets, pants, skirts…..etc……and for all those who have waited and waited….a TUXEDO and MATCHING Pant is coming in NOV……………so save your pennies…..there will be more than you could ever want.
Can you tell us which month each of the OLO groups will be available for ordering?
WOW!!! Better get a couple of garage sales ready to earn my pennies to spend. LOL Sounds fabulous, the hardest part will be deciding which styles and colors. What a problem to have. LOL
Scarves, tuxedo, sequin skirts, leather, suede, silk. What an exceptional opportunity to invest in some classic pieces! I’ve been toying with buying a few pieces at retail, but I think I’ll take a breather and wait for Linea. Can I ask one question about ponte? Is this the same fabric as the black, v-neck, elbow sleeve dress you did for us a few years ago?
Honestly….I don’t remember….it is the same ponte as the TSV peplum jacket and the draw string skirt that I know you love. I’ve used it for many things….the unlined sweatshirt blazer that went with the drawstring skirt….there will be a fantastic classic LBD on the Aug show, but it’s anything but basic,,,k,,it looks great with the new suede/knit jacket….hint hint
You had me at “LBD”.
I love this fabric! I’ve washed the black skirt at least 6 times and the color is still true black. It’s thinner than the former LBD dress you gave us, btw, and is probably more universal.
Louis, it’s so good to see that there will be lots to choose from. I feel like we’re coming out of exile in the desert to the land of milk and honey, or make that silk and cashmere! It’s so exciting.
This is terrific fabric. I’m thrilled there is more to come and can’t wait to see and read more about it. LDO, I have to admit, this blog is addictive. I get antsy if I don’t check it first thing in the morning, then later in the day and now at night but the clothes for the upcoming seasons are my favs. Please know your effots here, at your sketchbook, and along the various points of the process to us is appreciated. …now, how to stop pointing my browser here more than three times/day?
Thank-you so much for letting us know how much money we are going to be spending. A lot of us are purging our closets but it looks like we will be filling it up again with Linea. I just got through looking at The Book from Neiman Marcus and the purples and burgandys are big. Also sequin and lace so your right on target, also kind of period looking. Again Louis I want to thank -you for the information so I can start planning my Fall Winter wardrobe and I promise I won’t bother you again.
Thanks louis!! But we are in so much Trouble!!!
Oh I think I’m delirious … Time to purge the jewelry “closet” of some old, unworn gold AND bake Walter a chocolate cake or 3 in advance LOL. Love the sounds of all this, and love all you and Jac do for us 🙂
What colors in the leather/knit jacket?
Love your leather/knit with buttons – so a different style would be nice
I assume the zipper makes it more casual
can’t wait to see it
Louis: I and I’m sure most Linea ladies would like to know if you can give us a verbal sneak peak of what’s to come this Fall and Winter so that we can plan our purchases, see what we have in our closets that will coordinate with the new items, etc. I don’t think we need anything too specific, but something along the lines of jackets in these colors or prints, WK sweaters and pants in these colors, etc.
If you can, I know we would all appreciate it. Thank you.
I second that Karen. I would definitely like to know what is coming so I would know what to shop for in the stores.
Louis – What would you suggest to go with the new teal boho skirt? No jackets since I live in South Florida. Thanks.
Dear Joan…..I would recommend the teal faux silk shirt which can be worn casually with the sleeves rolled up. The WK sweaters in black such as the V-neck or scoop neck short sleeve. The new faux washed silk v-neck sleeveless shell in the blue. Just put it next to thing you own. I even like it with the lime WK sweaters….remember accessories can pull things together that you would never think go.
I finally hooked the fish necklace. Thank you to whoever wrote on 7/29 that there were 3 fish necklaces. I snagged one and it arrived today. Love, Love, Love. To be redundant, I ordered the necklace at midnight when it was originally in the system, and it was lost in the mail. Can’t wait until next year to hook another one.
You’re very welcome Carol and I’m glad you were able to finally get one! I had come up as Anonymous that day I had posted that they were available (for some reason, my computer sometimes clears out all my personal settings). I have two of the fish necklaces and I like to wear them one slightly shorter than the other. I know you will enjoy wearing yours.
I also have to say that I was finally lucky enough to get the “original” fish necklace on Ebay (the one Louis has shown in some sneak peeks) — the one that has the 13 fish attached end-to-end with four colors of eyes — yellow, red, green, orange. OMG !!!! — that is just fabulous. It has a wonderful tactile quality to it — I enjoy just holding it. Louis — I think you’ve said that it would be too expensive to reproduce now, but I think the Linea Ladies would love it as much as I do — whatever the cost!
Dear Jane….I am happy to read that you were able to get the original “School of Fish” necklace, which I used as a necklace and a belt. QVC would never buy that piece. It would be way too expensive for the amount they would have to buy and too delicate. I am sure there would be many returns due to breakage.
Louis, I consider myself lucky and honored to own this special necklace — it is my favorite (and I have a lot of necklaces!). I hadn’t thought of it as being especially delicate, but knowing this now, I will be very careful with it! Thank you for this wonderful creation!
Would you ever consider doing a leather biker-style jacket? I’d love your take on this classic, and such a jacket would give me yet another, more casual way to wear all my WKs, paired with jeans and pencil skirts.
There is a leather /knit zip front jacket coming in Oct…..not a biker, but darn cute, and definitely perfect for WK sweaters.
Dear Louis, You may have already answered this, but does the TN in teal work with the new Faux Silk pant in teal? I absolutely LOVE the Faux Silk! It’s totally believable! Thank you……
I’d love to get my hands on some yardage of the stuff to have a negligee and robe made of it!
Dear muzzimom…………I looked at my samples and though the colors are quite different, I liked them together. I think they work because the pant is so dark and almost come across as a midnight blue. Some may not like the colors together, but I do.
Will the Whisper Knit Pencil Skirt be the same length(s) as A09484?
I believe…. so give or take
Being your done designing for next summer. Did they reorder the assymmetrical tunic top that matches the dress?
They lost mine in the mail – never did get my black. Hope so it was a winner and got rave reviews.
It was style # A233187
The new spring/summer styles are done, but I haven’t gotten final list of reorders for spring………….so I can’t answer that yet.
keeping my fingers crossed
please let us know when you find out
Thanks
Since you’re probably working on summer 2014 right about now, can I put in a request for more piece made from your pebble crepe? We never got to see any of it this year and its one of my favorites. I would love A213621, the pebble crepe tunic, in a love shade of pure optic white!!
Now wasn’t this a nice break from our constant spying and nagging about fall 2013?
Actually, I’m finished with spring summer…….starting to work on next fall
Well, there’s always 2015. I will start lobbying earlier next year!
I just can’t pass up an opportunity to ask if the WK grouping is coming back next spring? Maybe in WHITE?!!
We are working on it……………….white will definitely be a color.
May I request a remake of the quilted snap front jacket, please? That was my all time favorite jacket, but with the weight loss, I can no longer wear mine. Thanks
Dear Sherry…..congratulations on your wait loss. I hope it was intentional. I will submit a sketch as it was one of my favorite jackets too. However there were many returns and those on wait list were the lucky recipients, so no inventory, so I have my doubts they would choose it again.
Thanks, I will keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. Yes, the weight loss was intentional, maybe just a couple of more pounds. Down from a XL/1X to a M…yippee!!! Now it’s time to buy some clothes!!! And, I especially love fall/winter clothes. Love all the rich colors and textures, and being able to layer. Just love it.
Sherry….congratulations again! I know you will love the new fall/winter selection…..the fabrics are incredible and the variety is outstanding….it truly is one stop shopping.
Soooo excited!!!! Can hardly contain myself waiting for sneak peaks and the seasons to change.
Dear Louis: I never did see the t-neck in lapis blue on the QVC forum – but I received it today and it is totally ROYAL. I love it, I knew it would be a totally saturated blue – I LOVE it and it is beautiful. It is clean and pure as can be. thank you so much for this color. Toni Fisher
OH LOUIS! The faux washed silk fabric is amazing, and the color saturation…WOW! I was afraid the jacket would not work on my body type, but it is flattering and slimming. The Cherry tops with the Boysenberry pants are incredible, also like the Nutmeg with the Boysenberry. It reminds me of a washed silk dress I had years ago. I think it was Anne Klein. The top was in the nutmeg family and the skirt was in the rust/boysenberry family with a wide mustard suede belt…yummy. I hope you use this fabric again. I’d love a top like the A233187 asymmetric hem button front tunic that came in black, white and turquoise.
Dear designista…..I am so glad you like the fabric. Unfortunately , being the show was on at 2am, I don’t think the styles or the fabric got the exposure they deserved. I was very excited about this new fabric and how beautifully it takes color….some polyester fabrics do not. As I always say, not all polys are equal! I will have another shirt for fall and two more pieces in Feb. I love the deep colors of the pants mixed with the brighter colors of the tank and jacket……I hope more of the Linea ladies give these pieces a try. The photos on QVC of the jacket are particular bad. You can never go by their photos…..or know what you get will be 100 times better.
I can hardly wait for the new pieces!!!!
No, Louis, they did not get the time they deserved. I got mine today, and went back for more. I also had a washed silk outfit years ago in pink and gray. This new fabric is amazing, such quality at such a good price. Is there anyway you can re-present those pieces at your next show? It is wonderful. Thank you xoxo.
Since there are so many additional new things, I doubt they will be scripted into the show.
Another RAVE from me for this new fabric!!! LOVE my pieces in Cherry and Boysenberry! And just as I was going to ask you if there would be more pieces in it this year, you post that there will be another piece this fall and two in February! And yes, the exposure for this wonderful new fabric and styles was hardly adequate.
Dear Louis
This faux silk fabric is just beautiful and can be worn either casual or dressy. I originally ordered nutmeg and now have gone back for the other colors in jacket and tank and boysenberry in the pant. Love the idea of mixing these saturated colors.
Many thanks for making shopping fun!
I love these colors in the late Indian summer and fall….they are right out of nature…………there is nothing more beautiful than Late Sept…..early Oct…..in the country when all the leaves change to these wonderful colors. Jac’s mother used to tell her when she was a child that the elves came out at night and painted all the leave these beautiful colors.
Just got the ballet sweater in teal. Guess I didn’t realize how fabulous it is. Can’t wait for the claret.
Beryl, which sweater is this?
sweater is A210360. It’s fabulous.
I was thinking that may be the one, thanks so much!
I was reading Lucky magazine last night and noticed they’re spotlighting PINK coats for this winter. Someone I know is ahead of the curve!
There are still some avail….LOL
I loved the black coat that I wore all of last winter. I received so many compliments! Today I ordered the pink coat. It is the perfect coat for Ohio. It is light weight but very warm. Thanks Louis!
Dear Louis,
For later in the fall, would one of your turtlenecks go under the beautiful stripe ponte dress in cocoa? If so, which color do you recommend? I’d like to purchase one before they sell out!
Many thanks,
Jennifer
Dear Jennifer…..there are two color WK turtlenecks that will work under the cocoa dress. Avail. right now is the OLIVE, and coming in Oct. will be the TOPAZ. Both colors are deeper than the olive and topaz stripes in the dress, but they both blend well. I would not really like an exact match because it would look like a set, and that wouldn’t be a good thing IMHO………………………….regards, Louis
Received the cocoa lace tunic today and it is quite pretty. I tried it under a pair of white pants and the FJ aqua pants. I liked both colors below the tunic. I even placed the hemp FJ pants next to it and that looked nice as well. I do see what you mean about pairing the tunic with the tweed walnut jacket. It’s ain’t happening!! Doesn’t look good together.
Any word on whether the FJ pants in Petite and Regular inseams will be reordered in new colors next year?
Dear Chris…..I have not heard anything about whether any of the FJ pieces are being reordered…………….don’t forget the new faux washed silk pant In the walnut that I did show with the lace tunic which works perfectly. Also the A233191 FJ pant in walnut works perfectly too.
Dear Louis,
I love the pleated style style of the “Wide Leg Pull-on Pants w/Pleat Detail” (A233191). Do you have anything like that coming up in your new collection? I would love to see a navy, grey, black, forest green, deep teal, ivory, and camel–any color really.
Thank you for your time,
Patti
Dear Patti…………there re no plans to repeat that style.
Will the WK pants from last year be back? Just ordered the V neck WK sweater in ruby, walnut and navy to go with our cook Wis. weather.
Thanks Louis for all your hard work to bring us these beautiful and timeless pieces of clothing.
Kathy/Wis
I have received all three, walnut is my favorite. However, back to the reds… I have been hoping for something to coordinate with the beautiful Boysenberry top, that’s my color!
Unfortunately, no
I was hoping to finally get my black WK pants in the ever-elusive size small, and perhaps a pair in navy. Between these being discontinued and the prospect of no more drawstring skirts or pants, I’m pretty disappointed. It must be a challenge to design flattering clothes that have to work flawlessly for sizes 2 to 24. I know you’ll continue to dream up new things for us which is some consolation.
I did have another sample made for this year, but it was not selected……….too many returns on the last pant, but I do believe in it and haven’t given up hope………………I will keep trying. The moral of the story is….”get them while you can”.
Good to know. I ordered an extra black to store for when mine wears out.
It was a frantic sort of morning so I grabbed this skirt in black, topped with the hot pink WK sleeveless v and cardigan, tossed on your black beaded necklace and was out the door in less than 10 minutes.
Now if you could just do shoes…..!
So, dear Louis …. for those of us who love reds of all sorts … can you tell us which color will have more coordinating pieces either in WK or just other garments: stunning Ruby or that gorgeous Claret color? THANK YOU!
If you put it that way….I would have to say the Ruby………..though there will be a check jacket with claret in it, and it is a wonderful rich red/wine.
Oh, my … and don’t I recall a Tweed Jacket coming in Ruby and white/ivory? Or is that the same as the Check Jacket with claret in? Don’t mean to pester you for details too far in advance, but I’ve got to budget my birthday money in advance LOL … not to mention a proposed return to my beloved New Mexico, where those shades of red are a MUST 🙂
THANKS again …
Yes you recall very well the checks are for Sept and the ruby/ivory is for Oct.
Well, it seems I will have 2 birthday months LOL … thanks again, Louis!
GIRL, I like how you think, LOL. My birthday is coming in Nov, now how many months can I stretch that out??
Mine isn’t until March and I plan to start celebrating
August 26 if that is any incentive….(:
Sounds good to me!!!
Yippee! I loooove the ruby!!
Behind on my reading. So now I know what leather bag to get. Will it be a blazer or moto jacket like the purple and black one?
O/T Louis – Just a link I wanted to share that reflects appreciation for love of opulent fibers of this world & Native Arts. Think you’ll enjoy the video as a learning experience? Qivuit fiber is unique to Alaska (Canada 2) and is only second to Vicuna in expence & rarity!
We are all very fortunate to find Cashmere so cost friendly! Anxious to see the color offerings of the Silk/Cashmere blends you have coming?
http://www.qiviut.com/
Pamela, thank you for the link about qivuit fibers … we loved our trips to Alaska, and I dream about the smoke ring I DIDN’T buy at the museum shop in Faribanks … I too am so excited about Louis’s upcoming Silk/Cashmere line; I’m hoping for a Chili Pepper, Claret or Ruby color; no surprise there!
Dear Pamela…..it’s been so many years since I’ve been in Alaska……………thank you for the link……it was very enjoyable to watch……..funny how “fair isle” designs are so universal.
You’re welcome. I sometimes volunteer for Spring combing @ the farm. It’s an amazing fiber – softer than cashmere & can be washed in any temp of water without shrinkage!
That brought a smile to me! I visited them last year. I just couldn’t believe that yarn. Much more than I can afford, but I felt priveledged just to say I saw it and felt it. I like WK too.
I just want to say that I think we should all go visit Pam!
I’m in!
Dear Pamela, I appreciated your link so much! Sure stirred up wonderful memories. As a UA student my husband worked at the Musk Ox Farm at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks under John Teal. We homesteaded in the Delta-Clearwater area and boarded 40 horses for hunting guides. Oh, and to give you some perspective on your Anchorage winters, when I taught in Barrow, the teachers would fly down to Anchorage weekends in the spring and come back with glowing reports of how ‘break-up’ had started down south! Thank you for the link 🙂
Fashion Day is disappointing without you. To me it isn’t a fashion day. However, I think because your shows are limited, it makes you a “cut above the rest” and I wanting more. You are more than a cut above the rest. Saving my money for your next show.
HI Carol, I was just thinking the same thing. Started to buy a couple of items, then thought better of it and decided to wait for Louis! But these long waits in between sneak peaks is rough!
Ditto ladies, I started to get one of the sweaters at midnight and thought, no that will take away from my “Louis” money. LOL Better wait and get the better cashmere blend sweater. Sneak peek withdrawal already. LOL
Dear Sherry…..Debbie and Carol…I appreciate you waiting to see what I have coming on my TWO….one hours show in Aug…..There is so much new I know you won’t be disappointed!
Yippeeee!!!!!! I know I won’t be disappointed, because you never disappoint!
We know we will not be disappointed!
Forgot to say LOVE the new pant!!!!
Saving my money.
Beryl
I can’t agree more. Saving my money for Louis.YC
Hi Louis – I really enjoy wearing your terrific “shabby chic” sweater. Such a great little piece! Any chance it’s coming back in a new color?
Yes it will be coming back later this fall.
Which sweater is the “shabby chic” sweater?
The jewel neck cardigan with the washed velvet ribbon trims
Oh yes! I couldn’t remember. Thank you…
Hi Louis,
QVC web site shows that the Kate shirt is available to order on waitlist in a new color of grey. Would you please describe this grey color? Thank you!
Carol
It’s very similar to the SMOKE Feather Jersey….maybe a touch darker. I don’t have my samples as this is a Spring 2014 style.
Hi Louis, My Sister wanted me to ask you are you going to be on QVC ANYTIME SOON OTHER THAN AUGUST 26TH???? THANKS,JOHN
Dear john…..your a good brother!…..tell your sister that .this is the only date I have for Aug…..
Would the chili pepper items from last year work with the teal boho skirt? I am talking about the scarf print top in particular. I know that pewter gray will work with the teal but I am uncertain of other color pairings.
Dear Chris …….I give the same standard color to everyone when I do chili pepper, so they ideally should all work. Even though they might not be an exact match they all blend
The new purple pearls are exquisite, even your photos didn’t do them justice..what a gorgeous color. I paired them with the Linea grey pearls and what a great combination. Would you consider doing a multi-color strand of three or four colors?
I have submitted many different styles of pearl necklaces, but they haven’t been chosen. Maybe next year?
Silly me….that was such a mundane question. I was just so excited by the color of the purple pearls.
Hi Louis! Love your clothes! Would the new fuchsia kimono jacket work with the cherry striped dress? Thank you so much!
Dear Anne……………unfortunately, the kimono in fuchsia does not work with other cherry stripe dress.
Louis, I have 2 burning ?’s – Did the buyer select a WK vest this go’round? And was there a reorder of the Ribbed Knit Pencil Skirt in Aubergine?
So excited to the NAVY pearls! Enjoy your day.
Dear Pamela……………I keep showing them the WK vest, but they don’t believe the customer will see the value for price it would have to be……..what can I say….I don’t have the pencil. By the ribbed knit skirt, I am assuming you mean the acrylic/wool knit skirt? That skirt was not reordered.
Oh well – Since you’re heading towards designs for Fall 2014, may I suggest a Tweed vest with matching Equestrian-Style jacket (Wool Blend?)? That would be divine to mix/match with Linea WK knits! Winter is never far from this seasoned Sourdough…..!
And so sad that the knit skirt is being retired – adore – better stock up on existing colors ASAP.
I appreciate your tireless efforts towards bringing the very, very BEST to ALL. Linea makes LIFE grand. Thanks LDO!
If we’re talking next fall, may I request a redo of the quilted snap front jacket? When mine still fit, it was my go to jacket for fall, winter, spring. Loved the weight for fall and spring and it was perfect over the WK sweaters for winter. thanks
Louis, my nutmeg and cherry faux silk shells arrived today and (as always) they exceeded my expectations. I agree that they feel like a moderately heavy washed silk and I love the way they drape and how they color changes a bit with the light. Absolutely lovely and I might add a super great price. I’m going to wear the cherry tomorrow under the navy cardigan from this spring and I’m excited to see it later under the grey sweaters that are coming. Finally, I will do my best to no pester you for more deets on the peasant-style whisper knit sweater, but can make no promises!!!
I’ll pester you! I own a great magenta/purplish peasant-style sweater that you did a million years ago – way before whisper knits. Scoop neck, gathered long sleeves, looks great with jeans and boots. Will the WK be this same style? I hope so, because it’s obviously a keeper!
And one more pester – will there be a walnut surplice sweater? I hope, I hope – I’d love one to wear with last year’s feather print skirts.
WHAT A PEST…..LOL!!!!….NOT……………………..I do believe the sweaters are similar, but not exactly the same…….if you liked that one you will like this one too, and i do believe the old one was in the same WK yarn. The new one has straight sleeves….they are not gathered like the one from the past. The surplus sweater does come in walnut and that is what Jac is wearing….but….the walnut from last year and the new walnut are not the same…..the new one is darker…..still beautiful….but darker.
BTW, the cherry “silk” tank looks so perfect with the crushed velvet skirt you did for us a few years ago. I popped it under the black suede jacket from last year–that got a big, happy response from the BF!!
Louis, LOL I tried to wake up for the show, missed most of it then only got maybe a nap in before work. Crazy time they stuck you with, had to be very hard on you and Jac, but it didn’t show. Loved your slippers! I did order the new pants, the colors looked sensational. Alo ordered the t shirt to try.:). Now….I’m probably going to bed early!
Hi Louis…I just received the grey pearls. They are stunning..they look like Tahitians! Absolutely gorgeous as a triple strand. I must buy the other colors. Thank you for all you do for your “ladies.” We so appreciate you.
I wanted to order the perfectly pink pearls but I realized that my turtleneck is worn out and none in stock. I know the new sweaters are a secret and your not ready to give up the info but could you tell me if there is any pink coming? When your old pink is a flattering color so the more pink in my wardrobe the better.i just bought myself a new little sports car so I need a lot of pink. Ha Ha
I am not sure about the turtleneck sweater but there are more p pink sweaters coming for spring.
Dear Louis–loved your show as always. Bought some of everything as always. As you can see the peeks at the new WK have us all drooling. We’re greedy little piggies!
Did I read that you were going to offer bracelets in the pearls as well as stud earrings? My new cream and purple pearls are out for delivery today and I was hoping there would be bracelets in all the pearl colors (I have them all).
Tell Jac how amazed we are that she can look so fresh in the middle of the night. You’d be ashamed to see what your Linea Ladies look like when we’re watching you show!
crdlb
The bracelets are proposed and have not been ordered yet
, but hopefully they will be for next spring.
Omg, we need to start a thread on bracelets that match our pearls! I would love a triple strand pink bracelet! 🙂
Hello Mr. Del Olio:
I am a 74 year old women of color that has loved and worn your clothes for many, many years going back to Ann Klein and Linea B! Now I love your jewelry, especially the cross pendants!! Where O where can I purchase them? keep up the good work. Blessings to you and Jac.
Dear Adrienne.the crosses are all avail. at QVC. Just type in Linea Jewelry in the search box and all the jewelry will come up. A new cross is coming this fall, but two are avail now.
Louis, Thank you for the beautiful clothes, I’m looking forward to wk’s and the tweed blazer/jacket.
The necklace that was shown with item #A237099 the 3/4 sleeve lace v-neck tunic that Jac and Angela are wearing, is the item #J273583? If so is the color black or purple? Thanks again 🙂
They were wearing the purple. The faceted glass beads are irred. so they have purple and copper and teal highlights and will work with many things
Thank you Louis, I ordered the purple necklace.
Hi Louis,
I have a question about the necklaces that Kate had on during the boho presentation where she wore the forthcoming gray whisper knit cardigan (beautiful!). The necklaces looked like silver or marcasite beads and just sparkled, sparkled, sparkled. Are they on the horizon?
Great show (altho I do admit I DVR’d it since I’m on the East Coast)!
They are marcasite necklaces. These particular necklaces are not being offered, but I will have a 72 inch rope of marcasites, same as the pearls, coming for the hilidays I would have used those, but my samples haven ‘t arrived yet
That’s great, Louis! Looking forward to that and the jet necklaces. Thank you!
Dear Louis,
Loved seeing the new items on the Tuesday AM show. I particularly liked the Putty striated jersey items. Will there be a jacket/cardigan and pants out of that same fabric? I would particularly like to do a twinset look with the top and a cardigan.
Also, the silk-look fabric garments really looked rich! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making these wonderful polyester-that-looks-like-silk items. Before I finally wised up and started going with polyester fabrics, I always used to ruin my silk blouses by spilling some delicious Italian red sauce on them. The dry cleaners either were never able to get the stain out or they ruined the blouse in trying to remove it. Now, if I spill something, all I do is spray the stain with Dreft Laundry Stain Remover (which gets out almost any food stain out of any washable fabric), wash the garment, and the stain is gone. In the old dry cleaning days, I ended up “rebuying” a garment several times over by having to have it dry cleaned. Now I can take that money and spend it on Linea! Yippee!
All the best,
Patti
Dear Patti, for now the only items I have done ate the top and skirt…..but what you are suggesting is a terrific idea.
Hi, Louis! Woe is me :-(. I tried to place an order for last night’s show from here in Jamaica. Once I got everything assembled and went to check out, a screen popped up that my access was forbidden! Same thing again this morning. What’s up with that?!!! A lovely LL ordered the Boysenberry pants for me so I am good there. But one of the items I wanted (the putty/black Tee) is back ordered. That is IF I can get my order in before we return to the US tomorrow. Grrrrreat time here in Jamaica, though :-).
Barbara, On the QVC FB one of the Canadian ladies posted the same thing. CS posted back she should call 1-800-367-9444 and they’d help her order. She has had this problem for almost a week.
Thanks so much, Claudia. We fly home tomorrow and hopefully I will be able to order from my laptop then. Hope the Canadian ladies were able to get their orders placed!
Louis,
Fantastic Show! Purchased the Drape Jacket & Shell in Cherry with the Boysenberry Pants – and the Lace Tunic & Pants in Cocoa/Brown – have a wedding in mid September. Also got the Striated Skirt & T Shirt – in Putty.
The upcoming WK’s you ‘Sneak Peeked’ – can’t wait for them!
Seka.
Dear Louis,
Thoroughly enjoyed the show this morning! I have a favor to ask. When you get a chance can you tell us all the WK styled coming and colors? I want to make a spread sheet! Thank you in advance! My purple and cream pearls are out for delivery!
I would like to second Debbie’s request and also ask that the cashmere/silk blends be included so that we can plan ahead.
I third Debbie’s request. I will need to re-arrange my budget to include the new wk styles, and I need a couple of months to do so. Thank you. Much appreciated.
Louis,
Thank you for the wonderful show this morning. Loved the sneak peeks of the new sweaters that are in our future. I do have a question. Will A228341 which is the Jewel Neck Whisper Knit tunic sweater from last fall be returning? Love the neckline and the length of that sweater and it sold out quickly so I was only able to get the black.
Hope you got home safely and can get some rest.
Dear Nina….yes that sweater is returning…..there will be a few “elongated sweaters.
Cannot access whole page
Are there any pictures of your new faceted black jet necklace on your sneak peeks? What necklace is the large black stones on sneak peek no. 2’s and the spaced black necklace on the other no2? Thank you looking forward to your new shows!
Dear debby………there arn’t any pictures of the jet necklaces yet, because they aren’t due until the Holidays…………..The large black beads in SP #2 are from my collection and are not part of m Linea line………the spaced necklace with the jet faceted beads may be coming for next year?
I know I’ve been hounding you about a bright pink jacket and I just happen to be at your website and saw one is to be on your show today. I bought it and just wanted to say “thanks” for bringing some shades of pink back! Really do like the jacket too!
Louis, I have a jewelry question.Your crosses are so beautiful but, being Jewish, I feel uncomfortable wearing one. I do not expect you to make a Star of David, but wonder if your supplier could do something with that Etruscan feel with another pendant? Ironically, fish have a place in Judaism, but we won’t go there.
Also, in the bead necklace that comes in black and red, what is the mm of the largest bead?
Dear Andrea…………I did have a Maltese cross, which has no religious significance……it’s actually a military cross that was translated for women in precious stones. It did not come out the way I wanted it and it was too late to correct, but I’d like to repeat it for next year. Anne Klein, who also was Jewish, had a fetish for crosses and wore all kinds of them…..she actually wore multi crosses and somehow they didn’t look religious…..she just liked them………I do not know the actual MM of the largest bead, but when I lay it on a tape measure….it’s approx 3/4 inches wide…..hope that helps.
I too, love crosses, but do not wear a Christian cross. Judith Ripka includes several Maltese crosses. I’d love to have one of your chunky colorful gold plated crosses. Maybe you can consider that in your next design?
Hi Louis,
Just another shout out to thank Loren so much for ensuring my orders got through. It was a shock when the wall came down but Loren amazing person that she is came through. During my winter break she was a god send.
I also am having problems with online connection, hope that it is resolved soon, for now calling in my orders.
Looking forward to watching the Fashion Show, and the amazing looks that you put together.
Carol – Ontario
Morning all Linea Lovers,
Just wanted to remind all the Canadian women I am still here to help with your QVC Linea orders at NO COST to you except the shipping from USA to your home and what ever tax and duties Canada charges. Have found that it averages less than $3 and item. Well worth being able to wear Mr Dell Olio’s great creations. I can supply your fellow Canadian ladies references if needed. Looking forward to tonites showings!
Loren…you are a TREASURE……..it’s too bad there aren’t more people in the world like you. I know the Canadian LLs feel the same way.
Loren has already shipped 5 UPS packages to me since QVC stopped shipping to Canada at the end of last year – and she goes above and beyond expectations. Loren checks to make sure size & colour is correct and that the product is in perfect condition. Loren does a fantastic job at packing – when I open the items they are in pristine condition – you would never believe that they first shipped to Southern California – and then all the way back up North and then East to Central Canada. I have NEVER had an issue with any portion of my ‘new process’ for purchasing Linea.
Louis – I absolutely agree – Loren truly is TREASURE – and an incredible person!
Seka.
I would like to vouch for Loren wholeheartedly-she is so wonderful to interact with, very competent and reliable and incredibly generous and amazing in giving this gift to Canadian Linea lovers. Loren is my new best friend! I order boxloads and have been do delighted when they arrive, carefully packed and gorgeous. Loren is indeed a treasure! I must have become addicted to compliments-I wear Linea creations everyday and have stretched in trying colours and fabrics I never dreamed. It is a real confidence boost to have a wardrobe of such quality that builds upon itself, flatters and suits any occasion. I am glad that Loren helps us access these beauties as I was heartbroken when QVC announced shipping to Canada was discontinued. I hope that the glitch I encountered this morning when trying to place an order was temporary [access denied server when I typed in my password-I am not very techno-any ideas?] Anyway, I would like to thenk Loren, you angel, and thank Louis Dell’Olio!
Kate in Calgary
Kate,
I cannot access my QVC Account at all (since July 27th) – have contacted QVC – they replied that they are having difficulties with their site (again!). I will place my order tonight by phone. QVC has not given any timeframe for resolving the problem.
Seka.
Hello Louis: Been absent for a time but I’m back and just ordered the lapis blue turtleneck – color not available on QVC, but I rolled the dice. I have these t-necks in all your colors and took a chance tonight to see if you had more t-necks. Love lapis blue and I know the color will be true lapis. Take care, Toni
Toni,
On the QVC Community Linea Forum there is a Post dated July 23 “New WK Tops Arrived’ that has a large picture of the Lapis Blue T Neck.
Seka.
Thank you Seka – goodie, goodie. what a community of Ladies we are.
Dear Toni….just wanted you to know the Lapis is much richer than the photo…….it really is a beautiful, deep rich color.
Bless you Louis, you are so busy, yet you take time to answer us. Can’t wait for your show. I noticed you, G. Simonton, and D. Basso are all on starting at 12:00 a.m. (Mountain Time). I don’t understand QVC putting top designers on starting at 2:00 a.m., EST and they put Electronics on in the afternoon. But we Ladies are like Zamora fish on a shark, they will NEVER lose us. thanks for answering. Toni
My flash didn’t do it justice.
Sometimes I put my finger over the flash…….sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t
Dear Mr Dell’Olio,
I have a pair of lined linen pants that I purchased on QVC. These are my favorite “go to” pants. The problem is that the elastic in the waistband has disintegrated. How can I get these fixed?
Thank You,
Ginny
Louis, many thanks for your beautiful recent spring and summer line and now the perfect items for fall transition. Just returned from a trip to Scotland where my black kimono cardigan and knit pants with tweed tank were the core of my wardrobe.
The new striped dress is terrific. Will there be many dresses for fall/winter?
A belated Happy Birthday from a fellow Leo too.
See you on the 30th!
I believe there is one new dress each month….except July.
Dear Mr. Dell’Olio, I have a lovely pair of lined linen pants that I ordered from QVC several years ago. The elastic on each side of the waistband has stretched out and I am no longer able to wear them. The pants are a favorite of mine and they show no wear. Do you have a solution for this problem? Thank you for your experit design in clothes.
Ginny
I can only suggest you bring them to a tailor. If they are any good they should easily be able to replace the elastic.
Mr. Dell’Olio,
Your clothing is perfection! I can’t wait for the QVC July 30th show. LOVE the sneek peeks. I have 3 of your ponte knit blazer with back peplum and always get lots of looks and compliments. I feel like a million bucks when I wear them. Thank for your reasonable prices and ease of care. My question is what color combinations besides the obvious ivory could I wear this Fall and Winter with my coral blazer?
Thank you so much for your beautiful clothing,
Gayle
For fall.I would suggest the coral with navy, charcoal grey, espresso brown…..done correctly even a dark forest green would look terrific, and what I mean by correctly is how you accessorize.
Hi Louis, your new collection is outstanding! Just a quick question before your show…how does the new WK t-neck color in Violet compare to the Purple from a couple of years ago. Thanks,I know you’re in a rush preparing for Tuesday.
I do not have the old purple sweater any longer….gave it away, but I believe the new one is deeper and more saturated.
Just a “heads up” to the Linea Ladies — there are 3 fish pendants available this Sunday morning!
There are now 2. The early bird gets the “fish.” Thanks for the “heads up.” I ordered the necklace when it was first offered and it was lost in the USPS system. Crossing my fingers this time.
I’ve been so wanting a second one and bought just now, so one left! Sorry for being so greedy!
Here fishy, fishy. None there now, missed again. LOL
Don’t fret….I do believe it is being reordered for next spring.
In Silver Too?
Hopefully
Excellent news! Do I dare hope they would also order the fish in silvertone??
The request is in…..a silver tone fish with a citron yellow eye and a sapphire blue eye……..when and if they do get ordered I will let you know.
Ditto!!! Silver girl here.
Hello Louis, I was wondering if any of your new sweaters are tunic length and or vneck.im really interested in the silk cashmere but can’t do the turtleneck like the last one. I love that sweater but the itchiness drives me crazy so at least with a V or a Crew neck I can wear a blouse underneath. Then the other issue is coverage of the bottom. I love the V tunic style you had last season which is perfect for me but I love cashmere silk sweaters and what colors are coming? THANK YOU
Dear Carol………… there will be tunic sweaters in the WK, and a variety of styles in the silk and cashmere, I’m sure there will be something you like.
Dear Louis. Is there any possibility of your bringing back some baroque pearls? Thanks.
Dear judith………there aren’t any planned, but I am sure I will eventually do them some how again.
