Hey Louis.
Just wanted to let you know that the pearl necklace options have now changed. I was on waitlist for the mocha and now it says its no longer available and so just the Fall options are available along with what has already been there. Hopefully I can snag it in the Spring.
That’s what happens when new items gets ordered. They show up and then they are taken away until they are delivered. Sometimes the wait list order stays , but after a certain time it expires…..so you would have to check if a wait lis still exist or do you have to order it again. It would be nice it they explained that. It’s a flaw in the programming that it’s listed in the first place.
I just saw that you have some new pins listed! OK, so I already ordered all three, but wondered if you could show us a quick photo of them?
Also, just so everyone knows, the beaded necklaces with the red, green and blue beads also pick up the color of the blouse or jacket, so for example, I can wear the red ones with fuscia or true red and they look like they were made to match. Awesome!!! I get so many compliments on your jewelry!!

I had no idea they were already listed. I still haven’t taken pics of them but now that I know they are avail. I will. I also noticed the “Hammered Earring” with the color stone is up. This is the button earring that goes with all of the color and gold bead necklaces.I already have pictures posted of them with the toppers. They are RED/GOLD [ruby, GREEN/GOLD [malachite} and BLUE/GOLD [lapis}. I’m not allowed to used gem names unless it’s the real thing. I think it’s silly, but rules are rules. Would you ever think the long bead necklaces were real ruby or lapis or sapphire or emerald for 50 bucks…..I don’t think so…….Ladies this is the last earring in the colors of the necklaces I will be offering to go with these necklaces, and the new 5 strand necklace that will be listed soon…..so don’t be caught in the mad rush…..just saying…..

my techie was quick…..his name is Kedon and he’s not only a great techie but a very talented photographer. He photographs “the girls” each year for our Christmas card……the patience of a saint!
Louis, would you please communicate to your great techie that we ladies not only search to pull up all the old photos and descriptions of items going back to the beginning of the site here but we also hunt and hunt through the Ask Louis section to refresh our memories on answers we think we remember that you gave here. Right now it is not possible to search through the Ask Louis section very far back and I’m wondering if that feature could be made available. Case in point. Someone posted at the Linea Board at the Q today pleading for the listing of the 11 colors you gave that the WK turtleneck would be offered in this October. The page with that info was long gone here from the Ask Louis section. Thank goodness I had happened to write those 11 colors down and could help her. Without the ability to search the Ask Louis section I’m afraid you will continue to get asked the same questions over and again and we will be left scratching our heads and hunting fruitlessly through only the most recent replies. It would be a great help if it is possible to provide that feature. Have a wonderful weekend!

LDO–just a note to say that the new WK drape front cardigan has become my go-to transition piece this summer/fall. Right now I’m wearing them (I have 3) over a skinny tee, but in a few weeks as it turns cooler, will layer over the matching WK tank. I have other sweaters of this style, but the fit is better (more shapely) on your version. You hit a home run on this sweater. If it returns, would you consider black, navy, grey, and aubergine?
What ever you want…….LOL………..If it returns, they would probably only want one or two new, Black for sure….

I think that there may be a technical problem with the “Ask Louis” portion of your website. It used to be that I could go back and look at questions and answers from previous entries from quite a while back. This appears to no longer be possible. Where before, there might be twenty or more entries listed at one time, now, the “Ask Louis” section seems only able to have just a few questions listed. Sometimes I will see an item number referenced and go back to look at it on QVC and the entry on your site is gone. In the past couple of weeks I have seen other people say that they have experienced the same issues. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Hi, Louis. I’m helping a friend put together a Linea wardrobe after I turned her on to your fashions. Will A218570, the Faux Suede Jacket in Sage, go with either the Olive Ribbed Knot Pencil Skirt or the Olive Whisper Knit T-neck? I saw Jac wearing the jacket in the video with walnut pants…so I’m kinda assuming the Greens won’t coordinate—but what say you? Thanks much for doing the research.

Dear Shelia….that is exactly why Jac was wearing walnut pants. Did she get the Sage jacket yet? It may not be the easiest to coordinate separates with. What about the zip front “Tortoise” ponte jacket in Black/Grey and she can do Gray and Black WK pieces.
Two Questions-
1) Where do all the questions and answers go? It says there are over 7000 reply’s to questions, but only a few on here and I wanted to go back a review many of them. How do I find them? Even under the Archives not all the questions or comments are there. Is your space limited?
2) I had asked about the teal Sweater with the velvet trim from last fall if it would go with the midnight blue skirt A234433. You said that it would and boy does it ever. Love it, but the smallest size available is way to huge on me. So darn, back it went. I think you might have provided another option with the knit animal print jacket that zips from the top and bottom. I wondered if that knit jacket A230025 in the cobalt blue would go with the midnight blue skirt.

Dear Karen…..A230026 is the ponte skirt in the COBALT that went with that jacket and it is avail. It was designed to go with the jacket….or there is also black in the same skirt.

Thank you for the reply. I know this is my second question regarding other items in your collection that might go with the midnight blue shantung skirt from the spring/summer collection. It will be my last. I know you have been on QVC for a while, but I am kind of catching up on your clothing line, Linea. I was pleased as punch that I could actually get designer clothing at a price point that fit my budget. But that budget only allows for a few items each season and I only have enough for one more item to go with the midnight blue skirt. I know I will find it. It will come, it always does. But for now, black goes so well with midnight blue and it is a staple. Again, thank you kind sir, for answering. You are generous with your time.

OMG! Louis, I just opened my package with the Ruby Topper!! It is a gorgeous and rich as I thought it would be. I have a classic Albert Nipon floor length ivory coat that is nearly the same texture so I KNEW what this would be like. You did not disappoint any of us. I ordered a large and have plenty of room for a thick sweater. The sleeves are just long enough for me, to my wrist and that’s perfect for me.
Also wanted to mention to the Ladies, the Ruby asymmetrical cowl and boot skirt are tonal with this topper. A knock out for sure! Will post my review after I wear it…maybe sooner, but would like to wear first.

I would love too, but QVC got their delivery befor I got my samples…..I will tell you they are gorgeous an not to be missed. If you have the Byzantine Station necklace there is a bronze pearl in it.
Bronze will be great with the Sienna tweed. I jumped on them as soon as Tylerpoo said they were up. So many things I already own have this tone in them, as an accessory it is going to get lots of wear, same as the grey pearls which look great with black, grey, navy, white… I cannot wait to try them together too.
The Bronze was one of the first colors I did. I originally combined them with the Wine and Green pears that are no longer avail, but the bronze works with so many thing….the olive pearls with the bronze look super and the Byzantine group with the Bronze is very Renaissance.
Louis, your new Ponte Knit pant size 1X has a waist of 39″, could you tell me the extended measurement? Thanks.

I have been told there is no specific measurement for this pant due the construction. it’s the natural stretch of the fabric.
Louis…Will you be bringing back A223660, the crew neck elbow sleeve cropped bolero? When you first presented it, as usual it sold out. I was very fortunate to get all 3 colors that were available. I love this style and have gotten so many compliments from both women and men. Women are always asking me where I bought it. I tell them where but have to deliver the bad news that it’s not available anymore.
This cropped sweater is so versatile. I’ve worn them on casual days and I’ve worn them on very dressy occasions. This sweater has the perfect arm coverage length to shield you from the cold air conditioners or outdoor breeze. Please! Please! Please! Bring this sweater back in more colors.
You and Jac feel the same way….she has worn them many times….they are perfect o throw over a sleeveless top or dress and when we go to the theater she always brings one…..but alas…..they were not reordered due to high returns….that always seems to be the case.

I have been so pleased by the WK Pencil Skirt (A237412) and WK Faux Wrap Top (A237407). So pleased, in fact, that I put most of my fashion dollars on several “outfits” in your various colorways for those pieces. Do you foresee that you might do the pencil skirt in lapis for next fall? I’ve ordered a lapis top, and just received the fabulous boucle topper (A238159)in lapis. I would love a coordinating skirt for it. I know you have a pant coming up, and I will keep an eye out for it.
The pencil skirt and faux wrap top work well with my body type. The only public figure I could think of that my body most resembles is country singer Trisha Yearwood. I am writing this so that you can picture what styles work on which body types (for future reference and future lovely clothes — hint, hint).

Dear Goldie76…..I tend to doubt it, but you never know. I will not be repeating the same colors next year and I’m only able, with my budget, to do a certain mount of colors and they most likely will be in my new color scheme….but you never know for sure.
In your blog for the ruby topper you show and mention the 5 strand necklace that is fluted and smooth. Available date October. Love it. Want it. Is it the same as the J284036 single strand on line that is described as fluted and smooth? I am wondering if the 5 strand is just two single that are doubled?

Dear Donna…..YES….In Oct….the A229475 reorder seamed jacket will be coming in the new malachite and fuchsia. The WK turtleneck. A wonderful solid stretch jacquard layering piece….like a textured stretch silk, and a wonderful ponte dress….which is a lighter version of the “Linea Ponte”
May I ask what other colors the Oct ponte dress is coming in? Love the weight of the ponte, but think a lighter weight ponte would be fab as well.

On my Sept 24th show at 5pm…..and yes there is a Cadet Blue….very denim friendly……both of these will coordinate either with my new glen checks or tweed jackets.
Not everyone is home from work at 5pm, Louis. Prime time is from 7pm to 11pm, that’s the best time slot.
I can only play the hand I’m dealt….the Oct show is at 10am, and that show is jammed packed…..that should have been a 2 hour show also

As a fashionista with way more stomach than desired, I’m not tucking or belting anything EVER 🙂 I usually wear my tops over a slim leg or cigarette pant. Love your new Fly Front Slim Leg Pants (A236146)… so well done and thank you for the 32″ inseam. (TheQ loves 30″ inseams which are too short for me.) Would you consider a side-zip or flat-front/back-elastic slim leg pant? It would afford us a smoother front (no bump under our tops from the fly front). My favorite pant is your old A86580. I could kick myself for not buying multiples. Maybe you could bring that one back. I’ve been with you since Day 1. Thanks Louis… you’re awesome.

Dear Pamela….if you want to you can always have a tailor taper pants. The nay and walnut pants are the same leg opening as the camel and caviar. The pant in Oct are wider but you could taper them

Not yet…..but I only have a Tuxedo in Nov….so it will probably be a hit on some show, Dec I believe is the week between Christmas and New Year…………..but don’t hold me too it. The Oct show will be the last BIG show of the fall/winter season, though I do have some wonderful pieces for Dec. Jan starts transition from winter to Spring.

Louis, I usually order a Medium in your collection – 40″ bust. The topper looks oversized. The bust measurement is 47-1/2″. I like my clothes to look like they fit. There is not Small remaining and I don’t know if I should order the Medium.
Please provide your opinion on sizing.

Dear Jackie….I usually do not like to give “fit” advise because it is so objective. Ten women, who are the same size, like their clothes to fit differently. You have to ask yourself…is this style and fabric for you. It is a very textured fabric and there is a roundness to it. Then you have to ask ….how are you planing to wear it….with a simple WK sweater or do you plan on layering it with heavier sweaters. As I explained to Kate…..my only reference is the jacket Jac wore last night. She is an xs and wore the xs and it fit perfectly. If you are a medium, I would say get the medium. You are the only one who can say if this style is for you. Personally, I like them to look roomy. I do not like this style and fabric to look tight. If it does you will look stuffed…..better to be easy……I hope I have helped and not confused you more.
Sorry to butt in here (doing that a lot today) but I will say that every time I second guess myself with Linea and don’t order my usual size, I’m wrong! I wear a size SM in all things woven in Linea, and its always a great fit. I’ve ordered a small and am reasonably sure it will be fantastic!

One more thing – just so you know…
Some of your WK fabric content on QVC is 69% Rayon and 31% rayon. I think it should be 31% nylon. One example, see Drape Front Cardigan.

Louis, I have the WK turtleneck in lapis and I believe you said there would be a WK turtleneck coming in Nov (?) in malachite. Will there also be a WK t-neck coming in ruby? After seeing Jac in the Ruby topper I bought that (along with the Lapis), and now I want to get a coordinating sweater — just don’t know which style. I do love the turtlenecks.

I’m thrilled to hear that more WK turtlenecks are coming. I LOVE them! I’ve got the Lapis and will be adding the Ruby and the Malachite. I’m also pleased to see a reorder of the Perfectly Pink. I might get a second of that color as a back up. Do you think there will be more Perfectly Pink in the future? I’d love to see the tank and drape front cardigan done in that shade.

Louis, It is Sunday, 10 p.m. on the West Coast and I tried to order the ruby boucle topper and apparently the XS is sold out. So very disappointing. Anticipating I would get the topper (!), early this evening I ordered 2 ruby tops–may need to cancel. Some are suggesting that perhaps some of the inventory is being held so it won’t be completely sold out for your presentation. I can only hope. I’m a sad girl tonight.
Please take my advice as a Linea Lady for going on 5 years. Do not cancel the coordinating pieces. There will likely be returns and cancellations on the boucle topper, but the sweaters have been available for long enough that inventory is probably super, super limited. You have time to send back if you don’t get the coat. Just my $.02!

I have looked at all the ‘schedule’s’ on the Q’s website and see nothing that shows that Louis even might be on. On what day at 8pm did you see him? Thank you for replying. The women on here and of course Louis are truly kind and generous people. I used to be on a few forums and blogs years ago and people were so very rude and mean that I just stopped doing any of what is now called ‘social media’. This is my first venture back into it after 10 years of being away. I used the internet for research, buy clothing (which once I found Louis on the Q, I was hooked) and of course email with friends. Your quality of clothing is amazing; love you for it. I recently purchased two of your skirts A234433 in the midnight blue and hemp. Both will go well with black and Navy, which is great, but I also know that monochromatic makes you look taller and thinner. So here is….
1) A request- Could you make a more tailored jacket in the same material and colors of these skirts (midnight blue, hemp, and olive)? The current jacket style just doesn’t work on my body type. I know this is a long shot, but had to ask.
In wanting that head to toe monochromatic look, I went through your line piece by piece to find something else in the midnight blue (as finding a jacket or sweater in a color that blends or matches the hemp has not been a problem). I would look at some of the jackets, blouses and sweaters that were teals and think to myself, something is off, I don’t think they really go together. Then sure enough, I finally found a video of you describing the difference between the midnight blue and the teal. It was a huge help.
2) So my question is this- does the cardigan sweater with the velvet trim A228340 in the blue match close enough to give me the look I am seeking? If not what do you suggest?

Dear Karan………I know this is going to sound strange but….if you live in a warn climate like S. Cal, or Texas or Florida etc….then yes. I say this because the sweater is darker than the midnight blue skirt and the shine of the shantung fabric, makes the skirt look like a warm weather skirt to me……but that’s just me. The colors are certainly compatible. Also, the teal Boho skirt is a good match and the teal faux silk washed pant also looks good with the sweater. As for doing another jacket style in this fabric in these colors….honestly it is unlikely since there is still inventory on the original jacket….and since there isn’t any stretch to this fabric…..doing a tailored jacket would probably be a high return article……What did women do before stretch????? They were used to being a little constricted in their clothes and didn’t give it two thoughts, but now we all want comfort, so jackets in non stretch fabrics are somewhat problematic….I still do some….mostly in novelty fabrics like tweeds, but solids usually have stretch ..It’s interesting to note that most extremely expensive designer jackets….and I’m talking $2000 and up…don’t have stretch and fit very close to the body…..of course they sell to a size 10, and maybe in certain styles a 12.

You are kind to respond. Glad to hear that the sweater will ‘go’ with the skirt I have ordered. I understand about the jacket, it was wishful thinking. I am also old enough to remember clothing with no stretch to it. Thank heavens for blends in fabrics. I will check into the pant, though I loved Jac’s look in the video with the shabby chic jeans, white button down blouse and the sweater buttoned at the top. She makes you want to buy your clothes, she really does. An amazing looking woman and I am sure she her personality is wonderful too. I also see from reading one of the other questions that you have a number of colors coming in a turtle neck in October. I would imagine one of those might go. I am a blonde with green eyes and fair to light medium complexion. The midnight blue has always been one color that when I wear it, I am told how great I look. It seems to come in for one quick season and then I don’t see it again for about 5 to 7 years and then, another quick season and I have to wait. The teal is good, but it just isn’t quite the same on me as the midnight blue. Love your clothes and so glad I found this site. God Bless all of you and thank you again Louis!

As a teacher, I wear Linea all the time. It makes me feel confident and professional. Last fall one of my students wrote a descriptive essay about me and she said I was always “impeckably dressed” and wondered where I got my clothes. 🙂 I was disappointed to see that the new Ottoman jacket (A236142)sold out so quickly. With so many back-to-school responsibilities, I missed the show. Is there any chance we will see a re-order of the Ottoman jacket? I’d love to have it black and grey!

I am so excited about this Ponte knit line. I ordered four pieces. I am looking forward to the button tunic in black to wear with my jeans and Frye Boots. I love simple pieces like this that can be accessorized. Is there a skirt coming?
There is a skirt coming in Dec, but it’s a tulip shared maxi…..however the skirt that was sold with the ponte knit TSV has been reordered for early spring…..so if you can be patient, you will have it…..in the mean time my Acrylic/wool knit or the WK, both in black look great with the tunic…..even the crepe pleated skirts look great with the tunic!
Hi Louis: Just saw your most recent QVC show and discovered a new fashion fave. Loved, loved everything you presented and ordered almost everything! Was especially impressed with your beautiful jewelry and am on wait list for silver torsaude necklace and long cross worn with separate long beads. Any idea when these will be available? I bought another of your crosses (fleur de lis), the long chain gold matte crosses and matching earrings, and the blue flueted and smooth mixed beads. Also got several turtle-neck sweaters, your grey pencil skirt, etc. Keep ’em coming. A new Dell’Olio fan.
Dear Betty…….welcome. I don’t know when the silver necklace will be delivered……I think the end of the month. The cross isn’t due until sometime in Oct. I never know because these things are sold on line only, so there isn’t any show date to go by.

I cannot say enough great things about the straited knit T Shirts!! First, it is now my only T Shirt! Second, the fit…it’s not bulky, it skims my body and shows off the 12 lbs I’ve lost. I have all three colors and seriously will be ordering another three! I simply do not look as good in ANY other T Shirt! Third, this fabric is dreamy!
I think you would sell a lot of pull on pants that match, with a flat, wide pull on waistband. Would love this to be presented to the buyers and more of these fabulously perfect T Shirts!

Louis, I am looking at your stand collar tunic……… Can you successfully unbutton the top and spread the stand collar away from the neckline for a more casual look, or will it have to be worn up all the time?????Thanks
No you can definitely wear it open, but if you want it to stay “flaps down”, you would have to turn the back collar down in half to keep it that way.

As a mature classic style petite woman. I appreciate your line of clothing. I only wish QVC would purchase more. I just received the tortoise jacket that I will take to Paris on vacation. The perfect light weight garment that can be dressed up or down. I am back ordered on the Ottoman knit jacket but am not holding my breath. I wish you would offer more things in this fabric. Ponte knit is perfect for travel.
Hi Louis, I ask earlier and I guess it was overlooked. Will you explain the difference in the new ponte pants and the other ponte pants A233639 that are still available. Are they a perfect match for the new OLO ponte group?
Dear Judy….they are nothing at all alike….the older pant has an elastic that creates shirring for a more relaxed sweat pant look. The new ponte pant has a flat waist band similar to the summer Capri legging, but this new ponte pant does not have a legging fit….but it does have a slim leg…..a very stream line look with out being tight.
Oh, this is the answer to my question. Thanks. I wore an xs in both the leggings and the other ponte pant, but I’m going to stay with my regular smalls in the new ponte pant. You’re a doll to run down all these questions for us!

Dear Dodie….in my light the blacks are very good. I certainly would say you can wear them together. The navies are off. It really is a miracle from one year to the next to get the colors to match. There are so many variables involved….as I said it’s a miracle when they do.
If you don’t mind me asking, where can I find the gray turtleneck that is worn underneath the new charcoal v-neck ponte neck tunic that you posted on your blog? It looks great together.
That is a turtle neck from last year. I guess I will have to do another next fall.

Louis, sorry to drag Jac into the picture, but the measurements on the new ponte pants seem a bit smaller that the ponte pants from spring. Could you ask Jac what she thinks of the fit between the two and if she would wear the same size in both? (Sorry, Jac, but we trust you completely!) I know these pants will sell out and I don’t want to be shut out!

The A233639 is a much fuller pant. The elastic on that creates shirring……the new pants is perfectly flat……the top of the pant is more like the pull-on Capri legging….a wider flatter waist band….they are nothing at all alike.Even the leg is slimmer.

Louis could I ask how many Ponte Pieces are in the collection? They put up three tops and one pair of pants.
For this month there are SIX……five on line and a blazer type will be on my Sept show. The zip front jacket isn’t posted yet.

Wow – so excited – thats what I did & it looks super. If its good enough for Jac, its right for me. I thought it was to big with the bulge on side but when I shortened
it was perfect. Glad you like just above knee also. I felt dowdy before.
Sometimes the buldge on the side hip is from packing…..one on top of the other….usually especially with a knit…..all that’s needed is some heavy steam to get it back in shape.
I wanted to tell you how super the ottomon jacket & skirt is. I had skirt shortened & its better for my life style. They also pressed it and the little bulge by thigh area that some ladies were discussing disappeared.

I would have loved to ship it shorter, but you know…..Jac has the original suit in the black and got the new gray…..she shortened the skirt to just above her knee too.
Hi Louis, Do you think the camel works with caviar. I got the suit in caviar and LOVE the slim leg with the jacket. Will camel work or should I stick to black? (assuming they come off waitlist, of course….ugggh!)

Dear Sharon…..with the limited amount of colors they can buy, it wouldn’t make any sense to offer two blues, so no the Lapis will not come in the ponte.
I love the new ponte knit tunic and I especially love those jeans in the picture. Where can I get the jeans? They are exactly what I’ve been looking for.
Dear Abby…..they are “7 For All Mankind”, but Jac got them 2 or 3 years ago so I have no idea if they are still avail. I would imagine they are still running distressed jeans because they are really happening again….maybe they have their own web site?

Thank you for your lovely, wonderfully elegant designs. In your last show there was a beautifull tunic, with a button placard and pockets. I think it was described as ponte knit and was shown in charcoal grey and Limoges blue. When will it be available for orde. It looks fabulous!
