    Dear Louis,
Would the putty striated knit skirt coordinate with the stone herringbone jacket?
    Thanks,
    Patti

  2. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

Some of the good Linea Ladies of the Q online community were discussing a problem one poster described this morning – her 5 strand red bead necklace does not lie “flat” – it gets jumbled – and she wondered if she should consider returning it. Thence ensued an interesting discussion of necklaces that lie flat like the “rings of Saturn” or a “Cleopatra collar”. I’m paraphrasing. I thought it was a fun discussion and wonder if you want to tackle how the strands are designed to fall – jumbled or soldiers-in-orderly-rows?

  3. Nancy

Hi Louis, We just returned from Italy and I was so comfortable and well dressed with all of your pieces. I just now ordered the sienna mesh t-shirt and received the topaz suede jacket while I was gone. I’m assuming the sienna top will work well under the topaz jacket?? In any event, even if it doesn’t, I want it anyway since I wear so much of the fall colors. My question is whether I should order a small or medium. I’ve been wearing small in most of your line, but occasionally a medium. I just don’t like my tops to be too clingy and add emphasis to my bust. I noticed it has spandex in it, and thought I’d ask you first. Can’t wait to watch you tomorrow. I always, always learn so much from your tips!

    Nancy “Red”

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Hi RED……..The topaz and the sienna are two different colors. It will look great on you. Definitely order the small the med will be BIG on you. The top isn’t fitted nor is it clingy.

      1. Nancy

Thanks for your “speedy” reply, Louis. I ordered the small and I will be “waiting” to get it. It is absolutely beautiful!! Guess I’ll be wearing it with the black leather and ribbed knit sleeve jacket I purchased in late July or early August from your line. Can’t wait for your show tomorrow. I’m taking off early in the afternoon so I can fully focus on it. Your shows always have so many fashion tips in them. I feel like I’ve had an hour of education afterwards. Thanks, Louis!

  4. Nora

    Louis,

Is there any chance you could give us a peek of the suit that is coming in October?Colors, style? I so want a new suit, but it has to come from you.

  5. DeLois

Louis, does the Whisper Knit Tunic in brown match the Pants A237556 ?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear DeLois….my samples are packed up so I can’t compare, but I think the pant may be a little lighter, I do think they can be worn together.

  6. Tylerpoo

Louis, you mentioned that the pearl bracelets coming in the spring will come in sets of three. Can you give us an idea of the colors in each set or do we get to chose 3 colors to make a set. ie.(creme, gray, bronze), (green, chocolate, gold)

And will the earrings also be in a set of 3’s or we purchase individually.

    Thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No, you can’choose…that would be madness for the shipping.i don’t have the list of the three pack, but I think one of them was navy, pink, ivory

  7. Bcm

Sorry, I forgot to ask about the knit cardigan in lilac. Will it go with the violet WK Turtleneck? And will the graphite go with the mushroom Turtleneck? Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bcm, all of my samples are now packed for the show, so I can’t say about the violet and lilac, but the grey and mushroom will definitely look good together.

  8. Bcm

Louis I love the new cardigan A237552. Will the lilac and graphite work with the navy knit pencil skirt? (The same knit as the cardigans.)

  9. Debbie B

Louis, would you be a sweetie and list what you are scheduled to show on Tuesday?

    1. Seka

      Debbie B –

FYI there’s a Thread on the Q Linea Community called “What’s Coming From LDO September Edition” that was just Posted – it’s a comprehensive listing of everything for the September Show and also includes OLO Items and the Jewellery.

      1. Debbie B

Seka, Thanks for the info, I printed a copy. Linea Ladies are the best.

  10. nanc

Hello Louis, Do you know when the olo PK’s are going to be available?
    Thanks, Nanc

  11. Frances

Louis please reorder the fish scale necklace. I have wanted it from the beginning however it always sold out before I could purchase it. Is that a possibility?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Frances….it is coming this Spring….and….in SILVER TOO!…. but beware…the wait list for this fishy was huge, so I know as soon as it becomes avail….the hooks will be in the water!!

  12. Texas Barb

Great news, Linea Ladies! I know it isn’t quite October yet but the 11 turtleneck colors are posted and ready to order. (A72448)I got my malachite, ruby, topaz, fuchsia and perfectly pink to add to my collection. What timing…right before the show when I will spend more but I can’t wait.
Has anyone noticed any other new postings besides the tweed jacket?

    1. connie turnbull

Hi Texas, In case you haven’t been on QVC this morning, everything is there
for ordering. Happy shopping from North Carolina. (:

      1. Texas Barb

Thanks Connie. I was up late last night when everything became available for ordering. Happily I got everything on my list. Just waiting for the checked blazer (A237554) to become available. I’ll try at midnight tonight but I wonder if the are holding it out for a One Time Only.

  13. dee

    Hello Louis,
I apologize if you answered this question already. When is the graphite ENR cardigan going to be available? is it a OLO or will it be on your next show? also will it only be in 2 colors? I’m addicted to your sweaters, they’re so soft! LOL
    thank you,
    Dee

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Morning dee……..the cardigan will be aired on the next show Sept 24th. This is not a Whisper Knit sweater…it is an acrylic /wool blend. If you are super sensitive to wool you may find it a little itch….most do not, and you would most likely wear something under it. Jac who is very sensitive to wool and never wars a wool sweater can wear this yarn without a problem. It will only be avail in the two colors….the grey and the lilac…..both looks great with the violet tweed.

  14. CC

OMG the Hoozer is amazing!!! So perfect for me. I am an artist and space designer. So need clothes that are professional — yet have an edge to them. My clothes have to do triple duty for me since I have to make my dollars stretch. This Hoozer is so perfect for my lifestyle, I always feel like I need to look good and put together with just a twist. Thank you so very much.

Louis, Please tell me if it will work over the upcoming ponte long-sleeve dress in violet I’m lusting over for October. Will the grey or the black one work, if so which one would look best? Sending hugs XXOX

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear CC….what an interest profession who have…..The violet dress would look best with the BLACK hooded jacket. Let me tell you the dress is not basic…..it is fit and flare with an asym. hem…..I tried them on my form together and liked the way they looked……if you are looking for a twist….this combination has a definite twist and then some.

  15. Kate

Yes, ’tis I again (and apologies for regarding your as my personal couturier) with a request for fall/winter 2014. Would you consider giving us a jacket with some sort of removable faux fur collar? I’ve always loved the look but am thinking you’d give us a classic but fresh spin on the idea. As always, thanks for listening!

    1. Sherry

Love that idea, Kate….second the motion…

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

If I can find one that doesn’t look like road kill……most of them, unless they are very expensive, have hot impressed me.

      1. Sharon Santourian Holman

I agree with that one, Louis. Road kill not my favorite fur….

  16. Louis I wanted to tell you how much I love the Boucle Jacket. I mostly shop in high end stores and from time to time will grap something from QVC. I happen to be watching when the jacket was presented and could not believe my eyes. It looks like a $500 jacket that I own. This was my first purchase from your line and I just can’t believe the quality is so amazing at that price point. I would love another one but all the smalls are sold out. Will you be bringing in more inventory? In addition, would you ever consider making it in black?
    Sincerely, Bonnie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bonnie….Welcome to the world of Linea! I am so happy you discover me here on QVC, and was lucky enough to get one of the toppers in your size. If it should be reorder, which would be for next fall, Black would be on the top of the list for new colors. I think you will find Linea is a superior product to anything on any of the shopping channels, and for that matter better than much of what you would find in the department stores. I design this line with a very critical eye and constantly raise the bar of what can be done for the Linea Ladies. Certainly, for the price of the garments, there is no comparison. If you are able, please watch my show on the 24th of Sept, at 5:00pm….I plan to dazzle!!

      1. Debbie M.

        You never disappoint!

      2. Goldie76

Love your “I plan to dazzle!!” That’s Linea in a nutshell, Louis. And, ahem, the boucle jacket is die for. I got it in lapis and am exceedingly pleased.

One other note, Louis. This week I wore the abstract print top V-neck top (A230030) and coordinating skirt to the office for the first time; I wore my cobalt choice (I also have the chocolate). I arrived at the office at 9:30 a.m. and by 1:00 p.m. I had gathered five compliments at various points along my travels around our very large suite. The last compliment was from a gentleman who, may I quote, called the outfit a “very classy dress.” All five people thought the outfit was a dress, by the way. Hurrah! Thank you, dear Louis, for an extraordinary occurrence. But then again, maybe not for Linea Ladies.

      3. Patti ("Writer with Flair")

As a relatively new “Linea Lady,” let me echo what Louis just said. The quality of the design, fabric, and garment construction is truly superb. The Linea pieces I have bought have absolutely knocked my socks off and have vastly exceeded my expectations of what I would find on a home shopping network and, quite frankly, anywhere else in today’s marketplace.

I am old enough to remember the beautiful design and quality of the garments and accessories that Louis did for Anne Klein many years ago. There never was anything quite like it back then or now–until Linea. Being a lifelong shopper and appreciator (a new word I just invented!) of beautiful quality things, I am just blown away with the Linea line.

As you read and look at the blogs that Louis creates for us and read his answers to questions, I think you you see how truly blessed we “Linea Ladies” are. Personally, I cannot think of any other designer who would take the time to answer the multitude of questions Louis does each week or to create those beautiful collages of how to coordinate the clothes and jewelry.

I don’t know when you started following the questions and blog, but back in August, I believe, Louis asked us what colors we would like to see in his garments. Tell, me, what other designer does that?

        All the best,
        Patti

  17. Cathy Dassler

So, dear Louis, can you possibly give me a few words of fashion wisdom? Which of the 3 coming jackets do you think will work best for me as a difficult 5′ 2″ – 2X Pear shape … the lovely Tweed, the classic Checked Plaid or the October mystery wildcard? Your expert advice would be wonderful if you have time with all the show prep …

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cathy….in order to guide you better….what jackets of mine do you have that you like the fit of?

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cathy…..I haven’t heard from you about which of my jackets you own and which work best for you….so I could give you some sage advise. As it stands now, with the little info I have…..at 5’2″ and a 2x pear shape, I honestly do not think any of these jackets you asked about will be for you. That said…if you want to try one it would be the CHECK and this is why…..it’s the flattest fabric….it’s a single button so the revere is more open which will elongate….the fact that it is cutaway is also elongating. A totally closed jacket, as the others are, that goes straight across your hips at this longer length would cut you in an unflattering way. Also, the Check jacket is shorter as it goes to the side seam and in the back, so that also might be a better feature for you. If you are still hesitant, then you should wait for A229475, the reorder seamed jacket that would be a better length for you because it is shorter. It’s coming in fabulous colors. If you want you can order one now from the avail colors, which are all beautiful, so you can see how it fits…..and if you like it, you can order one of the new jewel colors that are coming. The violet matched all of the violet WK sweaters….This is a jacket, if it works, that you can definitely more than one of…I hope this has been helpful…I want to be as honest as I can be without knowing more……………regards…………Louis

      1. Cathy in PA

Aw, that’s sweet of you Louis. Sorry I didn’t reply right away to your question; we were driving in the midst of Kansas, trying to get back to PA from New Mexico in time for our family reunion picnic. I also realized that I’d have to recheck jacket fits, as I’ve been loosing weight … good news is my boxes of Ottoman suits, Ruby sweaters and Ruby Topper were awaiting me, and everything FITS! So, I’ll keep taking educated guesses, but you’re right, I’m usually better off with jackets that are on the shorter side than very long; this past spring’s denim jackets are great for me. I already own the Seamed Jacket in the 3 colors from last year, and even though it’s a bit longer, like that one a lot and will probably add a new color, maybe a size smaller … THANKS for all your help!

  18. SOLDOUT

    Hi Louis:

Please advise if the Ribbed Knit Pull-on Pencil Skirt in the Cassis or the Dark Mallard Blue will coordinate with the new Check Town & Country Blazer in the Blue Combo.

Also, is it so that there are no skirts coming in Lapis Blue?

    Thanks,

    SOLDOUT

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Those colors will not work with the check blue jacket. There will not be a solid lapis blue skirt.

  19. CC

lLouis ,When will the violet ponte dress be available.. Stalking the Q for it. Please tell a tiny bit more about it–long sleeve, 3/4 sleeve?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear CC, it will be avail on my Oct show. Yes, it does have long sleeves.

  20. maggie

Louis, I wanted to let you know so you could tell all of the Ladies that the melange tweed jacket A239642 is available on line now and is on easy pay!!!!! I already got all three so I am willing to share my scoop!:-)

    1. connie turnbull

Thank you Maggie…I got mine also.

      1. Karen in WA

        Me to 🙂

  21. Nomy

Hi Louis, Love the new ponte Knit pants. I had to send the 1X back and got the XL as they are a much better fit ffor me. The rise is too long in the !X even though the waist seems to be about the same. Everything you have shown this season is just beautiful. Last years tweed jackets I loved but were just too short waisted for me and I wondered if the new tweed jackets will be longer in the waist. I love that they are going to be 30 inches in over all length. That is my best lenght as it covers the tosh. So far the new jackets I ordered have been long enough in the waist. Love the cashmere silk turtleneck sweaters and I live in them all winter.

  22. Sherry

Hey Linea Ladies…I found the perfect nail color to match the topaz sweaters and dress…it’s an OPI shade, A-PIERS TO BE TAN, beautiful color indeed.

    1. Chris/Jazzmom

That’s the one I bought from the OPI San Francisco Colletion!

  23. Chris/Jazzmom

    Hi Louis,

A quick question– does the fuchsia V neck tank with rib trim (A233942) work underneath as a shell for the raspberry tweed jacket coming up? Will the pinky color work with the berry of the raspberry tweed?

    Regards,
    Chris

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…..no the color is too pink and too bright for the tweed….it has to be a more deeper color….that’s why the raspberry PK works so well.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

Thank you. I purchased the boysenberry blouse to go with the raspberry jacket. Does the FJ pants in berry work with the jacket?

  24. Pecan Cookie

Question on Tweed 101: The new tweed jackets have multi-colored woven yarns of varying thickness. If yarns of all one color are used, is the fabric still called Tweed or something else? Was this type of fabric ever market popular? I have been thinking about this and cannot get it out of my mind. I can see a jacket like this in almost any color but maybe it hasn’t proven to be a good item when presented. Thanks for your insight, Louis, and help with my obsession. :o) BTW, just ordered the sienna jacket that is now up on the Q.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear P Cookie….there are many “Thick & Thin” yarn fabrics that look like the tweed but in solid colors, but a tweed is two colors or more…never solid.

  25. Kate

Without giving away too much, can you tell me what sort of pattern and fabric comprise the upcoming black/white tweed?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

CURIOSITY….you know what they say! It’s a large HERRINGBONE with slubs or flecks in the same color…i.e. Ivory with Lapis, Ruby or Black herringbone and slubs…..it’s very different from what I have shown.

      1. Kate

That’s just what I wanted to know. I can picture it now (and want it).

      2. Cathy in PA

This “curious kitty” would love to know just a hint about jacket length and style … pretty please??? Those colors sound divine 🙂

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

          # button blazer with patch pockets and flaps….longer than last years tweed, shaped and fancy buttons…….that’s all I’m saying

          1. Nancy (aka TheOwl)

OK. Go ahead and drive us nuts! But all of MY curiosity is up learning it is longer than last year’s tweed. I skipped last year’s tweed over length – too short for my taste. So now I’m DYING to see it 🙂 I know, I know. I’ll have to wait til next month. Kate, you opened Pandora’s box 🙂

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

All I’m saying is it is longer than last years tweed….now lets get through Sept before we jump ahead to OCTOBER!!!

          2. Cathy Dassler

Thank you, kind sir. Length is a big challenge when you’re only 5′ 2″ like me. Sleeve and bottom hems are so easy to adjust; jacket length not so much. And I don’t want to miss a tweed NOW. Those October pieces sound spectacular though 🙂

  26. Donna

Louis, I’m loving the new lapis! Anything else coming in this color?

      1. Goldie76

Will there be a skirt — without sequins — with a little bit of length to it? I know you have a skirt in lapis for dress occasions coming up, but I want one for everyday life.

        1. Goldie76

The lapis sweater, beads and jacket are simply gorgeous, Louis. They wash over you with their beauty. I’d love a skirt to go with my half ensemble. (I haven’t forgotten your pant, but I do want a skirt.)

            1. Goldie76

Fingers crossed! It is so lovely. Louis, I’m still gasping at the beauty of your colors — both vibrant and neutral — this season. The fashion gods smiled the day you were born.

  27. Diamondscribe

Louis, I received the ponte pants and they are as wonderful as the summer ones. Your ponte knit pants have become my work uniform for those office days when I put a lot of time in at the computer. I especially love the charcoal ponte. Will the upcoming A237551 Ponte Knit Blazer with Hood be in this color? I’m not really one for tunics. I like layering so that I can shed long sleeves easily at work.

      1. Sherry

        And in the walnut?

        1. Sherry

Will the new ponte blazer come in walnut as well?

            1. Sherry

So after Sept we are done with the walnut…

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes…..all the Town and Country is complete…..then continuing with the jewel colors that were introduced with the WK and the topper.

            3. Sherry

I think I must be a Town and Country type of gal…all those pieces are calling my name big time.

    1. enjay

I really like these too, Louis, especially the charcoal. I left a review at the Q and said they seemed like a slimmer version of last year’s drawstring pants, which I just loved. These are perfect airplane pants – you look good and are super comfy!

  28. Jackie

Today I purchased the red AND the green 5 strand necklace. I know I will wear these for years. Thanks so much for offering something so – so- so – pretty. My next goal is to add more green and ruby tops.
    Jackie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jackie….I am so glad you were able to get the red necklace before it sold out….it’s now on wait list….don’t hesitate to get the style you want in the WK malachite and ruby….the quantities are getting very low in some styles.

  29. njlady

Someone on the QVC community wrote their is a ponte tunic zip coming. If so When & will it be ONO or do we get to see it

    Thanks for all you do

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

A zip front tunic?….There is something coming in Dec, between Christmas and New years that I guess you could call a zip front tunic, but it’s a very special shape. It will get air time!

  30. Carol

    Dear Louis,
I just returned from a little trip and finally have tried on all my new Linea ponte pieces–all of which are perfect! My pants in the charcoal and walnut went to backorder while I was gone, and I’m beginning to think, I’m not going to be seeing those ship to me. Can you tell me if there are going to be any other pants/leggings/skirts coming in the walnut or charcoal this season? I have other pants I can wear, but really like having coordinating tops and bottoms when possible. No way I’m giving up my walnut tunics, but I would feel better about it if I knew I could pick up another “bottom” in the walnut.

thanks, Louis–I have every piece of Roma Ponte that you made for us and I’m babying those like they’re made of gold.

Uh, the boucle topper–shut the front door! Lapis and Malachite just took up residence in the coat closet. If I get the lapis pants in time, they and the jacket are taking a Rhine cruise next month.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There is a grey ponte skirt coming early spring. It’s the skirt that went with the TSV jacket, and it’s coming in the grey. There are ponte pants coming in Jan. almost the same style in navy, gray and red. The only dark brown pant is the new one coming in Sept.

  31. SOLDOUT

    Hi Louis:

I would like to put the Jewel Neck Sweater w/Rib Detail (A210360) in last year’s Dark Teal color together with this year’s Marled Knit Maxi Skirt (A236140) in the Teal color. Will these two colors coordinate? Or, is one more blue and the other more green?

Also, I was able to get my my size & first color choice in the Boucle Jacket (A238159 in Lapis Blue)which was probably released from check hold; now I am wondering if there are matching skirts for these jackets in the same fabric coming next?

    Thank you,

    SOLDOUT

  32. Debbie M.

With all the raspberry going on, we are going to need some raspberry beads.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

If you are lucky enough to have the wine pearls they look great, and the Hammered link and bead necklace in the bronze or brass tone, don’t remember the name, looks terrific with the raspberry PK.

      1. Debbie M.

I have it all but there is always room for more especially if I add an addition to my house. 🙂

  33. Bcm

    Hi louis,

Any update from your vendor regarding the irregular multi necklaces? Also any chance more rootbeer/topaz necklaces will be available? I have been on waitlist for forever regarding those. I’m beginning to believe i will be boxed out of those beauties. Thanks.

    1. Sherry

I had mine on order…they oversold them and I was put on back order…now they have cancelled the back order. So I guess I am SOL. Hope it gets reordered!!!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Not yet…..I think the problem was…..my manu. did not like the way they were packaged and they are in the process of repackaging them which means they had to order new packaging, but they have told me the end of the month…fingers crossed.

  34. Texas Barb

I know you are off to the Big Apple today but when you get a chance can you tell me where to find the gunmetal earrings with the topaz stone? It is not listed with the new hammered earrings (J284037) and I know I just have to have them to go with the gunmetal cross.

    Thanks for all you do

    1. Sherry

I need them too! Or do we wear the gunmetal swirl earrings?

      1. Yvette

I plan to wear the gunmetal demi-hoops. Love, love, love those earrings!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

I thought the earring was ordered in four colors, but I may be wrong since it wasn’t listed. I’ve as my vendor rep if they were ordered….But after seeing the listed colors….probably not.

  35. Jeanie

Good morning Louis! Can you tell us which black tank/vest is pictured with the ivory blouse with tie?

    Many thanks!
    Jeanie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That’s the whisper knit tank with the rib bottom band. The one that came in ivory, tobacco and black…..it has been reordered for next spring.

      1. Diamondscribe

Wonderful news. I am so excited to hear that this one is re-ordered. I like this tank so much that I “reordered” another round myself so that I’d have two of each color. Great tank! And long enough, too!

      2. Jeanie

Oh Louis!!! This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE tank of yours!!! I have it in the tobacco and the black, but my ivory arrived with a defective neckline and of course there were no more left to replace it with! What can you tell us about the re-order? Any new colors? Will the matching shrug (which I also have in the black and tobacco) be re-ordered as well? This is truly one of the best tops you’ve ever done (a real sleeper if you ask me). Personally, I love the lower neckline on this one. With this answer, you’ve made my day (twice)…. once because I now know that I already have the top as you have it pictured as a vest, and twice because of you letting me know about the re-order! Thank you, thank you!!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jeanie the tank and shrug were both reordered in all three colors,,,,the ivory, black and tobacco plus a new color which is in the taupe family.

          1. Jeanie

FANTASTIC!!! I will be re-ordering the ivory set and will order the new color as well! My daughter just got married in August, and to the VERY INFORMAL rehearsal dinner, I wore the ivory slacks that I believe are now on clearance with the black tank and shrug set and felt VERY put together. I can’t wait for the new color(s). I’d buy anything you did with this neckline!

            1. Jeanie

BTW, the ecru lace dress from this past summer was my MOB dress for the VERY INFORMAL wedding ceremony the next evening! It was perfect!

  36. Kate

By any chance do have you pictures of the new cross necklace and the time to post them this week? They’re up for order but no images on the Q.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate…I have to run into the Big Apple today, but if you look at the Topper sneak peeks they are there, also on the long bead necklace sneak peeks you can see them. They come in three colors…GOLD/BLUE/GREEN, GOLD/RED/PURPLE and GUNMETAL/BLACK/BROWN [ROOT BEER]………you will love them, and there aren’t too many, so be careful!

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

I see the 5 strand necklace is posted too and there’s a picture. They back light the necklace so the colors look paler than they are….just GET THEM, don’t even think bout it. The beads are glass and they are FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

      1. Kate

Thanks for the heads up about quantities and where to look for them in past sneak peeks. When you show them with upcoming tweeds and sequins, they’ll be gone. I just have to decide on color(s)!

  37. Kathy

    Louis
Just received the green suede jack today. What a beautiful garment! It’s like it was made for me. What color would you like to see a blond where underneath? Also got the burgundy leather and it too is just perfection. The ottoman is out for delivery, so I’m a pretty happy lady here in Wisconsin. Thanks for all your hard work.
    Kathy

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathy….sorry for the delay……….The spruce green color goes with many different colors…..first what colors do you like to wear? You can go very jewel like and wear the violet, or fuchsia, or very classic with navy, grey, camel, burgundy, ivory, pale yellow, topaz, claret, even ruby….it’s not so much your hair color as your skin color….you can even wear perfectly pink….it all comes together with the accessories. You should lay your jacket on your bed with different pant colors and play with different tops you own and see what looks good to you…………you really can’t miss.

  38. Waterbaby

    Louis,
    I. Oticed your “popped” the collar of the black blouse. So, I was wondering if it will stay that way as a cotton collar would? Many thanks.

    1. Waterbaby

It should say noticed. Drat the iPad,,,

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Fran……I did pop the collar and it stayed up on the mannequin, but I can’t guarantee it will do that when being worn and moving around….maybe yes….maybe no.

  39. Quendiva

    Hello Louis,
May I request for future consideration more collarless jackets? The more simple lines work better for me than the traditional blazer style you often do. And while I am asking, please more black and white anything: tweed, marled, etc. in jackets, tops and cardigans. Many thanks!

  40. Tylerpoo

Louis, I ordered the bronze and olive pearls and just received them. I don’t think I’m colorblind, but both of them are GREEN, one a dark green which I assume is the olive color, and the other a lighter, paler green, maybe the green from last year.

I think they sent the wrong color. Please describe the bronze, should be dark brown in color. Will call QVC also.

    Thanks.

    1. Debbie M.

Louis, Same thing here. I have 2 green, but I think the lighter one is the olive. The darker one is not as blue as spruce, but is is definitely green.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Tylerpoo….I am waiting to get my samples….they are very late sending them to me. They should not look alike at all. The olive is a definite olive green and the bronze is a dark brown gold? When I get my samples I will get back to you. Did you look at them in daylight?

      1. Debbie M.

It was dusk when I opened mine. Whatever the color I am keeping them. I will take them for a spin outside today and put them next to different colors. Perhaps they are chameleon pearls. LOL I have everyone of your pearls from day one and these are staying in the collection.

      2. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Louis, My ‘bronze’ pearls arrived yesterday as well, and they are definitely dark green. Since I already have the original darker green pearls, I am sending these back. I think there has been an error somewhere in the ‘system’.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Susan…..my pearls have arrived and the colors are correct. Last years Spruce green pearl are definitely bluer than the new Olive. The Bronze pearls are also correct. Bronze is a gold with green in it, an antique gold. They mix beautifully with the wine and Olive or S. Green. If you don’t feel you need them…that’s OK, but they are correct and the Bronze and Olive are very different.

  41. FreddieMac

    Louis,
On a beautiful fall day in Boston, I am wearing the gray ottoman jacket over a black sweater and slacks along with the root beer/gun metal beads. I’m wishing I’d purchased this jacket in the other colors as well. It is a beautiful garment, I love the fabric, and fits me perfectly. Thanks so much for all of your wonderful designs.

  42. Pat

Hi Louis, just received your wonderful ponte knits. I was having fun trying them on with some of last years styles and brought out your faux suede blouse …I love that blouse and wonder if you will bring this back again. It washes so well and after many wearing s looks new. I would love to have it in more colors

    Thanks for my wonderful wardrobe.

  43. Pepper

Help Louis, I’m a little mixed up. I’m trying to put together your various Camel pieces and it seems there are two different fabrications for the cardigans in Camel? You are mentioning Posh knit(?) and I think have listed both a cardi and pullover as A238520. Can you set me straight? I love you silk and cashmere combos and have already ordered two camel turtlenecks to go with my new camel pants. Also received your new sheath dress ordered in all colors; prettiest dresses I have worn in many a year.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pepper…..in camel there is only the suit [jacket and pant] and the Posh Knit sweaters and muffler….finito…..camel doesn’t come in anything else.

    2. Sherry

Pepper the number for the PK cardigan is A238620, and the number for the V-neck pullover is A238531, also comes in camel is the tank, A238625, and the muffler, A238530. Hope that helps!

  44. Beryl

    Louis,
Does A237557 petite pant have an elastic waist? Also disappointed that there will be no more FJ. I love that fabric.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

If you are referring to the new walnut and navy pant, yes it has a back elastic……I didn’t know it was coming in petites??? Where did you hear that????

      1. Beryl

        Saw on the Q

  45. Mary Kellogg

    Louis,

Any possibility of a the WKnit kimino coming in fall colors…it is truly my favorite WK topper. Also would love the sleeveless mock neck in coordinating fall colors….

For those of us with personal heat waves, shall we say.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

It is being reordered or next spring and we are working on finalizing the colors. Hopefully it is a style we can continue with next fall in all new fall colors.

    2. Sherry

I would love the sleeveless WK mock neck for fall/winter as well for layering under other WK sweaters. Love the layered look but can’t always stand the warmth.

      1. Sherry

        Fantastic!!! thanks…

  46. Waterbaby

    Hi, Louis:
I love all your new offerings so far, my favorite being the Lilac shirt and cardigan. I leave for Rome on the 19th and I will keep stalking the Q website to try to order. But, if not listed yet, I guess I will miss out. But, you have so many wonderful items coming so I am sure there will be something to ease my pain!!

I was wondering if the Feather Jersey pant A233968 petite or A233967 regular will be reordered for spring? I love them along with the tank and cardigan so I am hoping they come and in a few new colors.

Many thanks and I sure appreciate all your hard work answering our questions, providing sneak peeks and giving us all a behind the scenes look.

    Blessings, Fran

PS…please pray for our safe journey!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Fran…….Rome….what a beautiful city. If you are a lover of ancient history, as I am, you will fall in love with Rome. Unfortunately none of the FJ pieces were reordered. I will definitely pray that your trip is wonderful experience and a safe one.

      1. Kate

Drat. I was hoping for a shorter skirt in navy.

Will we see some pebble crepe next year? I would love a dress from that fabric along the lines of the A236137!

      2. designista

WHAT? No more FJ! I blame that on the pathetic photos with the live models for an on-line-only sell! What a shame!

        1. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

I am incredibly disappointed in the decision to not reorder the feather knits. I lived in them this summer. I too was hoping you would give us some dark colors in the pencil skirt (navy, black, walnut!). I adore that skirt. I also loved the dolman sleeve top, and the button front shirt, oh and the tanks too – really really loved this group!!!! Very very sad about this……I wanted the pants in black at a minimum!

          1. Louis Dell'Olio

I don’t know if you wear maxi skirts but I highly recommend it. During my last show Angela had it on in navy and said, “where did this come from?” I had to explain that it was part of my OLO group…..she ordered it right away.

            1. Sheesh

So glad I got three of the FJ Pencil skirts–Olive, Flamingo and Aqua—and I lived in them all summer. I was hoping against hope we’d get a Black and White version next year with matching tanks. Honestly, the Q is totally missing the boat here—seriously!

              Sheila

            2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sheila….Qvc really isn’t to blame….if the reaction to the group was strong the the returns were low, they would have gladly continued, but the photo didn’t help and I think these pieces really needed to be on a show. Maybe FJ wasn’t a good choice for an OLO group.

          2. Sherry

Me TOO!!! Perfect in our hot, hot SW Kansas summers…

  47. Marilyn

Louis, on the WK tunic 228341 is the tobacco shade what you have called Topaz on your site? Did QVC just label it differently?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Marilyn I just explained the whole story to diamondscribe……..mistakes were made all around on naming this color and I don’t remember that far back to know where the confusion started. However it is neither tobacco or topaz….it is a true deep sienna.

      1. Marilyn

Sorry I missed the previous post and thanks for the clarification. I’m sure it will be beautiful.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

No they labeled it right….I called it the wrong name, but I have corrected the blog…..the thing is the color is neither tobacco nor topaz…..it’s a totally new color and I don’t know how this got screwed up. It very well may have been my fault. Never the less it’s a beautiful color….like molasses or dark syrup.

  48. Chris/Jazzmom

I’m putting my request in now for next summer– the WK elbow length sweaters that were made to accompany the peplum PK jackets that were a TSV– if the WK tanks that are currently available get reordered, can we have WK tanks in the iris, sea green, navy, black and coral colors that the WK elbow length sweaters came in? And how about topaz in this tank as well as walnut?
This tank can do double duty– work as a tank all summer and as a layering piece under a jacket for fall, winter and spring. Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Chris

  49. Pamela

    Hello Louis:

I just purchased Jim Howard’s Illustrated Paper Doll Book for my niece who’s a ‘little’ fledgling fashionista! Looks like it will show her some fashion history & how it repeats. What a wonderful surprise to see that some of your AK designs are included.

    Thrilled with the Fall lineup!

  50. Heidi

Hi Louis! Like all of the Linea ladies I am counting my sheckels for the new arrivals and will be checking daily to see if they have been posted. I know you’ve listed the upcoming styles and colors for the Posh Knits but will we have any new color besides camel in the turtleneck?

  51. Sherry

Hi Louis, would I be able to wear the topaz ponte knit dress with the sienna tweed jacket? Didn’t know if that was too much topaz, I love the sienna with the camel. If not is there another jacket that would be better, I know the topaz and walnut suede would look good. Thanks so much.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry…I think the Topaz dress is to strong for the sienna tweed. The A229475, seamed jacket in Topaz is a perfect match. I think you are much better off putting the Topaz dress with solids, black, brown, dk gray, even another bold color like the teal blazer would work if it is accessorized properly. The Sienna tweed would look great with a black or heather grey ponte dress.

      1. Sherry

        That’s why I asked…thank you.

  52. Diana

The grey shirt looks much lighter in the photos on the left compared to the photos on the right side. Which is closer to actual depth of color (hoping it is the right).

    Thanks, Diana

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Diana……the grey to the right is closer 5to the actual color. If you bought anything in the pewter WK, the colors are pretty much a match.

  53. Judy

Dear Louis, Will any of the new Posh Knit be in a tunic length for us taller ladies? We are so excited over all the new offerings. Thank you for all you do to keep us in style.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No tunics….”we” decided to go classic the first time around, because the yarn is very expensive.

      1. Judy

Well, I can’t say I am not disappointed but, I understand. I own the whisper knit in all the tunics in all colors offered so I am still a happy “devotee”. I love all my whisper knits!

  54. njlady

    Love the washed silk shirt.

Do you know if A233187 is being reordered yet. If so, will it come in Black – missed out & have the dress

Thanx & can’t wait for all the sneak peaks.

Is the Check something a shirt or jacket?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear njlady….yes it is being reordered and will be back in the three original colors…..including black.

      1. Sherry

        The one for Oct?

          1. Sherry

There’s a check something for this month? I thought tweed this month, check next month….guess I’m wrong.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Both check and tweed this month and another totally different tweed next month

            2. Sherry

Thanks, too much to keep up with, should have kept notes…the memory is not what it used to be. LOL

  55. Kate

Um, a HORSE BIT necklace? What??? How wonderful. When?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

YOU SPY!!! How do you know this????? Hold your HORSES!!! It’s coming for SPRING!

      1. Kate

Godfreko posted a long list of upcoming jewelry sans images and item numbers. It all looks pretty enticing!!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

She must work for QVC….there is no way she could get this info unless she can hack into computer systems…..these orders were just recently written!

        2. Debbie

how do you find Godfreko’s post?

          1. Debbie

            thanks I found it!

      2. Mary

Dear Louis, I’ve been hoping for that necklace for so long! I thought it was too expensive to make and gave up hope. Oh, thank you thank you thank you. I can’t wait for spring!

        Mary

  56. nanc

Hello Louis, When will the posh knit sweaters and the shabby chic sweater be available? Thank you

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Nanc…the Shabby Chic on the 10th of Oct. The PK I have no idea since it’s OLO and not part of a show.

      1. nanc

        Thanks Louis, I can’t wait! 🙂

  57. Patti ("Writer with Flair")

Will any of the tweed jackets work with teal? They are gorgeous.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti….there isn’t any teal in any of the tweeds, but as a contrast I think it would look best with the Sienna which is the most neutral.

  58. nikki

Louis, I have a couple of questions, which one of the tweed jackets goes best with jeans, Also I got the walnut tweed from last year. Is the sienna very different or along the same lines? thankyou for your time

  59. Donna

Hi Louis, are there any new blouses coming, specially in new prints or textures? I wore to death the feather print and dot blouses from last year!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Donna….I know the feather print, but I don’t recall the dot. There are two blouses for Sept. The reorder crepe blouse with the ties, in black, bordeaux and ivory and the faux washed silk shirt with a hidden placket front in the lilac and pewter. For October there will be a “tweed” print jewel neck blouse with a separate scarf and a solid stretch top in a jacquard fabric , but that really isn’t a blouse blouse, but it’s not a knit.

      1. Donna

Of course you remember the Swiss dot blouse! ;). One of my favorite Linea blouses! Looking forward to all the new!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Ah yes…..I was thinking of a print…..The black will look great with the Oct Black/Ivory tweed.

          1. Sharon

What Black/Ivory tweed would that be?

            1. Sheesh

Holy moly…what treasure trove of riches from Louis Dell’Olio this Fall!

            2. Donna

              Can’t wait!

  60. nikki

    Hello Louis,
How is the peweter color in the posh knit different than the pewter color in wk? I am trying to decide where to spend my funds. Love my new lapis topper, wish I could get the ruby. maybe next year

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear nikki even though they are both called pewter, and the both are pewter of a sort….they are different. The Posh Knit is paler, and has more pink in it when compare them. You couldn’t wear them together, but what ever you would want to wear the WK with, you can wear the PK with and visa versa.

  61. Kate

Do you have any updated intel on when to expect the Posh knits to be available?

  62. Ann/Snicksters

I am loving the melange tweed jackets. Would so like to have them all, but lifestyle doesn’t warrant more than one. So…I think it will be the Sienna. Will that be a good choice to go with the boysenberry blouse? I have the pewter tank that looks to be a good match also. Thanks Louis, for ALL that you do.

      1. Chris/Jazzmom

Louis, does the boysenberry blouse work with the raspberry tweed jacket?
        Thanks again.
        Regards,
        Chris

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes, I actually did this color to work back to the tweeds, knowing the tweeds were coming.

          1. Chris/Jazzmom

            Thank you!

      2. Ann/Snicksters

Thank you for your quick reply, now I can quit wondering which is best. lol

  63. dee

    Hi Louis,
are the vneck cardigans A233940 going to be offered in fall/wintered colors this year? I have the spring colors and love. I’m looking for aubergine and walnut in this cardigan. thank you. Dee

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Not for fall. but they have been reordered for next spring….colors are still being decided. Now that they have been proven successful….I will push to do them next fall.

  64. donna

louis you and i go way back my freind.bergdorf, bloomies etc…my best freind is an executive at j.jill.here is the heads up.the number one best selling pant is the wearevever crop.you need to make the designer version PRONTO!!!do the pebble crepe in everything immediately…qvc and j.jill are now the same customer but you are brilliant!!!trust me on the crop my freind…love donna more tunics i get to see the numbers.i would rather give my money to an american talent!!!!

  65. Cela

Louis, I know it’s last fall’s color–but I just received the MUSHROOM Turtle neck. Honestly, it is THE most beautiful neutral, taupe, greyish brown, whatever I have EVER seen.
Really my color of neutral. I’m sallow and it’s really difficult to find beautiful neutrals.
How, oh how, I would LOVE to have other WK pieces in this color. Any hopes for a cardi or pencil skirt, please, please. Please. It’s not too pink, NOT TOO YELLOW. I don’t know how you did it.
Also, the Every Needle Knit pencil skirt in Steel, I’M THINKING it’s a warm grey, (I know you addressed this before when the abstract prints came out), will it go with the pewter color WK (it’s a better length on me) or any major pieces you have, like the caviar or other jackets? THANK YOU. Cela

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cela….I don’t know if you know….but there is the original acrylic/wool knit pencil skirt in a color called DK. MUSHROOM, that was done to coordinate with the mushroom sweater.

      1. Cela

Yes, I tried but the Mushroom skirt is sold out. So I went for the Steel Grey. How does it look with the Violet and Sienna tweeds?
