MY WK HEART’S DESIRE:
First off, thank you for asking us for our thoughts and desires. Amazing to have you as a personal designer, how incredibly fortunate are we to be able to share with you. The synergy is so positive!
Here’s my wish list: 1) Lots of ENR whisper knits! Great drape, hand, clean lines, and coverage. So, these are all ENR WK wishes. 2) Boyfriend length OPEN FRONT cardigan with elbow sleeve. Like a topper to go over dresses & skinny jeans 3)A251579 tank (really a shell) 4) A251579 tank style (same neckline)– longer length 5) A251579 neckline as a sheath dress–that new topper length cardigan would be able to work together. 6)Slim leg ENR pant 7)Gauchos 8)Maxi a-line skirt, that goes with new shell & longer elbow sleeve topper. 9)Abstract Placement prints 10)Asian inspired prints.
Now for colors: Navy (always & forever); really wanting icy & juicy colors–like, Bouganvilla magenta, black raspberry jam, red plums, Japanese tori red, Juicy Italian plums, pansy blue/purple, light icy Chinese jade green, watery blues, and neutral cork–like in a wine bottle.
Prints: Verticle strips, Kimono inspired placement prints, Abstract art inspired placement prints.
BTW you are just the best!

Okay CC and Louis,
I have to second the ENR boyfriend length open front cardigan with elbow sleeves! any of the WKs in the longer length.
navy, black, and white always good… I do not know what the new color will be, but Louis you always do great with colors.
thanks
Dear Louis,
After the long rainy winters in the Pacific Northwest I always crave bright colors in the spring! In 2015 I would love to see Whisper Knit colors in navy/emerald, coral/raspberry, or maybe lemon/lavender and it would be fun to have a selection of more print cardigans to pull the accent colors together. I would also like to see white dressy trousers for those of us who prefer this style over jeans.
Thank you,
Alice
Hi Louis
I was just watching the on line video of the Boho Skirt and heard you mention that Angela
was wearing a Peasant top that was coming. It it available now or still coming?
Also, what colors please?
I have added the Perfectly Pink to my collection of five Boho’s. Very girly . Pretty with
my naturally silver white very short hair.
I would love more pastels in the Boho, as I AM a pastel lover.!
Thanks so much
Dear Shari….It’s coming in May……Black [Angela wore it]. Lapis blue and Coral
Hi Louis, received my print crop(ankle on me)pants today…got the blue/white and the black/white…they do fit like a dream as Kate had mentioned earlier. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the black/white is not white…but a cream color. I see now why you but the black/tan embroidered tunic with them in the sneak peek. I do have a question…does the lapis ENR tank go with the blue/white crop pants? I am anxiously awaiting the embroidered tunic to arrive for order. I did not get any of the crop pants, shirts, or shorts last year; this is my first time to receive this light weight fabric and I love it…it will be perfect for our summers in SW Kansas. Thank you for all you do for us.
Sherry
Dear Sherry…..yes the lapis works well with all the blue and white pieces…..print and linen.
Dear Louis:
A Linea Lady posted this a.m. that she rec’d her denim vests that she ordered in ‘same’ size as her denim jackets that are too small. Is the cut of the vest ‘more’ fitted than your jacket design? (I, personally, would wear the vest open vs. buttoned up). Does Jac wear her normal size this vest?
I want to order multiples (when avail) to go with the denim dress for a tonal layered look. Please enlighten.
TIA
Jac wears an XS and has worn an xs in the vest. An xxs would be too tight. She also wears xs in the jackets. She is a 34A if that helps.
Dear Pamela the vest is definitely more fitted than the jacket. It is supposed to be closer to the body and you should be able to wear it under jackets….like the linen blazer. Even though you want to wear it over the dress, because you will leave it open I wouldn’t want it too big. I have shown the xs vest over the xs or xxs denim dresses, depending who wore it…..again Jac is xs in everything.
I just received my vest in a medium and it is a bit larger (at the bottom) than the medium denim jacket…I may move the buttons over at the bottom (on the vest) to take it in a bit…over wise it fits great.
Dear Sherry…..the vest has no buttons….it’s a zip front! What did you get with buttons?
Sorry, I’m talking about the buttons at the bottom band around to the back…thought I would move those over a bit to bring the bottom band in so it doesn’t hang so far out in the back.
Hi Louis:
Just received your coffee bean sleeveless dress with the flounce bottom. Just love the fit and flare of it. Very flattering on my plus size figure. You are the BEST designer on the Q by far!!
Hi Louis,
I seem to remember a sleeveless white shirt in one of your blog postings. Will that be coming soon?
I think that’s part of the sateen cotton grouping coming next month? Pants, skirt, blouse?
Dear Enjay…..I think your were dreaming….unfortunately there are no sleeveless white shirts on the horizon…..there are sleeveless shirts coming in Black, Coffee Bean and Turquoise but no white…..just WK.
Oh boy, I’m in for the coffee bean and turquoise!
Well, it was a nice dream. Maybe someday?
Was that one of Louis Jean vests under a jacket?
New floral prints pieces are so, so, so chic in that easy Italian sort of way. My black pants and blouse arrived and have gone back for the blue. Pants fit like a dream and the blouse is lovely over white jeans. Only you could convince me to wear a print on the lower half! Hey, do you think we could get a sort of Liberty print at some point? I know you’re specialty is bolder prints, but I’d love a sweater or a skirt in something a bit sweeter too!
Dear Kate….I’m glad to hear you got the picture of what I was going for. In Florence, where there are lots of young students, you often see in the summer young girls on the back of their boyfriends Vespas wearing print Capri pants and sleeveless fitted tops or Ts. In this country there are so many hang ups about wearing a print pant, while in Europe it’s just another fun way to dress. I’m glad you got it!….and decided to step out of your comfort zone. Once you try them you will see just how “comfortable” you are wearing them….it won’t even be an issue anymore……………Liberty prints….that’s another story….definitely outside of my comfort zone, but you never know. When I was a student at Parsons there was a girl who came up north from South Carolina wearing LIBERTY PRINTS. After her make over, hair like Twiggy [and body too], and 5 pairs of eye lashes and platform shoes….she went home wearing a MINI DRESS made out of the CONFEDERATE FLAG! Her parents were not pleased!I think that was the last time I saw anyone wearing Liberty prints….LOL……Liberty prints usually came in very “sweet pastel colors….I didn’t think you were a “pastel girl”…..am I wrong??
I loathe pastels but I love an English country look, especially this time of year, so my mind went there. I’ll write a detailed review of the new print pants which everyone MUST have.
That’s what I thought…..How would you translate an English country look to clothing without looking like a couch? I really do like the large floral print I have done in the long boho, the print cardigan and the shorts and short sleeve shirt from last summer.
This is exactly why I’m not a Coty Hall of Famer!!!
Why do you say that? Are you a paste lover. I personally think they have a place in most women’s wardrobes…..except Kate…..LOL
I can visualize your doing a larger floral print with a deep yellow or pink rather than white background, Louis. (I loved the story about your classmate from the south. What a revolution in her way of dressing herself!)
More like a rebellion than a revolution.
Louis,
I have ordered all your print pants…never understood why American women avoid them..I have been wearing LPulitzer/ and QVC had fashions from her cousin for awhile and I bought all of hers.. if done well they hide a multitude of figure problems and are just so chic to me! I would love some of the French Provençal prints in matching pieces in paler colors for next year…My jeans and my entire order from your last show are out for delivery today…you make my day …actually every day when I get dressed!
Louis
Just read your response to Liberty prints:) but I did see these lovely pale prints in South of France and I remember this print jacket where certain seams were corded with same cording around collar and pockets that lifted the jacket to a small gem status…tried to find one in Monaco and Provence, but never did! it was a pale pink and green Print with deeper pale green cording worn over white Cotten tee shirt and with cotton slacks …it almost looked as if print had been washed first…It was so throw away chic..probably would have paid too much if I could have found one:))
I’m with you Victoria1, I have no problem wearing prints on the bottom…as a matter of fact, I would rather wear a print on the bottom than the top.
Kate can u tell me if you ordered your normal size.
I am a Medium & trying to decide between 8,10 or 12 – Thanks
If you get this I ordered in my traditional Linea pant size which is an 8; I wear a ten at brick and mortar stores.
NJ Lady, I ordered my reg size too a 12. I’m to the larger side of medium. I wear a 12 at Eddie Bauer, Talbots, JJill, A 14 in Worthington (JCPenney). Hope this helps.
Louis, I was just wondering, have you ever in the days of AK done a knit jumpsuit? Those WK pants were so outrageous, I couldn’t help but wonder what a sleeveless, dressed-up jumpsuit would feel like on. One of the LL’s was looking for something to wear to a dinner dance and I thought WOW, WK jumpsuit sleeveless sexy back navy.
Yes, I have done jump suits but not in sweater knit. Matte jersey, and other cut and sew knits, plus fabrics like washed silk and crepe.
A heavy crepe would be nice.
Hi Louis,
Thank you for offering us a forum to ask questions.
I am in love with my maxi skirts ~~~ Your amazing A252354 rayon/span maxi skirts. (and matching tank, which is the only way I buy your skirts so I get the matching dye lot) The plus sizes of this skirt are long gone.
Are there more of this item coming back anytime soon? Perhaps in other colors to match your colors this season, ie. the lapis blue, chili pepper, black, etc.? It is such an incredible fabric feel and slimming comfort for plus size. These are fabulously comfortable and perfect for all year round wear.
Please let me know if these will be coming back and when. I look forward to seeing more of your sneak peek photos in the coming weeks.
Many thanks in advance for your help and reply,
Debra
Hi Louis! I know it may be too early to know, but is a re-order possible for your new linen pants and jacket (for next spring)? The black and twig flew out the door and I’d really love to get them. Thank you so much!!!
Way too early
Louis, Just received my three denim jeans from UPS. The denim vests are on the way.
Judy
My vest is to be delivered tomorrow…wish I had gotten the jeans on waitlist…LOL. Louis is it possible that the Q had the manufacturer send the waitlist quantities out ahead of the bulk of the order?
I really don’t know. I ‘m still surprised they are being shipped out
I rec’d the navy and yellow jeans today, the rest of the colors are being delivered tomm. They are beautiful and fit nicely.
You were SO right about the stripes on the new WK striped top for plus ladies. I couldn’t be more thrilled with my black & white striped top. And yes it looks fabulous under all of your colorful jackets besides looking darn good just on its own w/o a jacket over the top. And you bet I’ll be saying so in a review on the item. Hope you got all those pansies planted for Jac 🙂
Louis,
I was not able to order the denim pants, vest and dress on waitlist because I was out of town and needed to be sure I was home for delivery. But when I type in the item numbers, it says Sold Out. Do you know if they are sold out or will be up for ordering at some point. Thank you.
Definitely not sold out!
Great–and thank you! I’ll just keep typing in those numbers!
Hi Louis,
Hope you had a great weekend. I noticed that the hydrangea top I have is called butter–the yellow color. Is this the same “butter” as the WK we have coming? Whenever you get time is fine.
Thanks, Cela
Dear Cela….let’s say they are in the same family. They do not match but they would both be considered in the “butter” range. I think the butter in the printed top, if memory serves, is a tint greener.
Judging by the picture, that’s I what I thought, and the color I would prefer with the twig is the one in the picture. That’s a shame what was leaked. But no pictures. Most people can’t even figure things out WITH the pics, so I don’t think you have to worry. :-).
Good Morning Louis,
Your amazing A252354 rayon/span maxi skirts (and matching tank, which is the only way I buy your skirts so I get the matching dye lot) are sold out in 1X. The indigo is on waitlist so far down that it will be sold out soon as well.
Are there more of this item coming back anytime soon? Perhaps in other colors to match your colors this season, ie. the lapis blue, chili pepper, black, etc.? It is such an incredible fabric feel and slimming comfort for plus size. I am ready for more and it is so early in the season (I know buying and cutting takes place months before the actual wear period).
I noted someone wrote about upcoming Linea pieces but I am not sure where/what they were.
Please let me know if these will be coming back and when.
Many thanks in advance for your help and reply,
Debra
Louis, I am anxiously waiting all my things from the last shows along with my 4 new denim jeans and vests that have been shipped. Love it.
I wanted to know if you can get qvc to reorder some of your older jewelry pieces, especially the black and gold bead necklace and the gold ball necklace. They were so beautiful and I missed out on them. Surely they meet the reorder standards. I have never been able to find a return. I would love a black and gold bead necklace with all the black clothes that I have. Please Louis, even if you have to change it a little bit, that would be wonderful.
Thankyou for all you do
Louis, just received QVC email my jeans have shipped…:))
Let me know when they arrive.
Ok, I order everything UPS ground, so should be here soon!
My jeans and my entire order from your last two shows are out for delivery today!
That’s great!Please don’t forget to review!!
Of course! Have a good day! I know I will:))
What’s up with that. I’ve been checking for those jeans constantly. We’re they ever on the site? How frustrating!
Candace….I am just as confused as you. My buyer told
me they aren’t ready to be delivered so she’s going to be just as surprised as we are.
I think mine deliver tomorrow.
They were able to be ordered on wait list for a short time and then they took them off. Hope to see them again…..
Louis, for only a short while this morning GF posted a list of about 50 upcoming Linea pieces. Don’t worry. I won’t post it. I would think as a designer you probably aren’t too happy when such is revealed ahead of your sneak peaks…and, I probably should not have even opened the thread to take a peak…but, oh, Louis, heard about curiosity and the cat and satisfaction? Well, satisfaction it is. I am so elated about what’s coming up and just had to thank you for listening so closely to your Linea ladies! I didn’t get to watch your shows this week. (Had a meeting conflict with both of them). But, it didn’t stop me from indulging on something like 38 pieces of Whisper Knit, LOL. Plus the linen pieces. Great career wear for the summer. I want you to know pink is my least favorite color and I generally have to be coerced to wear it. However, I am crazy about the geranium pink and bought several pieces in that. Deb
Hi, I would love to see it. Since it is gone would you be willing to email me the list. I’m sure others would like to see it also.
Thanks
Debbie
I too am in love with the geranium pink Diamondscribe! But, full disclosure, I’m a self-admitted pink junkie 🙂
I have been stalking A3825 Short Sleeve Ribbed Tee-Shirt like a hawk to try to pick up colors I had missed ordering in the past. I was shocked when one showed up available for order in the color “Magenta” (in my size, no less!!). I did not realize this item was ever offered in magenta. I have received it and it truly is a rich magenta color and beautiful!!
Do you remember or do you have record of that color for this item? I’m dying of curiosity.
Also, I posted my question on the QVC board and all the replies I got said how much we ALL want this top to be continued and in more colors. WE LOVE IT!!!!! We all LOVE our Whisper Knits, OF COURSE, but there is something so special about this particular top. Any chance that a miracle can happen and we can get it back as a reorder and in more colors? Or maybe you can tweak it just enough for it to be a new item that the Q will accept? It would make so many of us VERY happy!!!
Finally, can’t say enough how much I enjoy your shows. They are true FASHION SHOWS. So rare to find these days. I’m running out of room on my DVR because I keep as many of your shows as I can and watch them over and over again. Thank you for all you do for us!!!! You’re the BEST!!
Hi Louis, the pebble crepe crop pants that are coming in June…may I ask what colors are coming besides the Coffee Bean? And, will there be any pebble crepe tops coming?
Dear Sherry….Coffee Bean, Black & White. There will be a ballet neck tunic with pockets in the same colors.
Great thanks…are the shorts coming in May or June? and also in Coffee Bean, Black and White?
June……coffee bean, black and turquoise.
thanks again…
White White?
I’ll let you know when I get the samples…..LOL
Dear Louis,
Do you have any information about the beautiful pink and gold tone necklace J287999? It sold out so quickly and I have twice tried to stay on the wait list. It is so exceptional with your perfectly pink sweaters and pearls!
Thank you,
Alice
It’s too early to have any notification if there will be a reorder….if I hear anything I will let you know.
Louis, my yellow and aqua pants have shipped also. The other two are in process. The vests are also in process.
Hi Louis,
Love the shows. I now own three of the assymetrical top – so excited
Can you wash in the washing machine & hang dry??
Also, I wanted to order the blue & white capris – but they are in numerical size & not sure which to order.
I was medium in your white capris from last season
Do they have a lot of stretch? I am narrow in legs and hips – have weight in the middle
Thanks
Dear NJ lady, I’m not sure about the washing for the shirt. I think it’s machine washable, but it should say in the tag. As for the pant I think the Linea ladies can give you better advice on the size since they already own a similar pane in the bird print.
The bird print was s,m,l
This new print is 8, 10, 12
I am medium – do i order what size – thanks
Hi NJ Lady, I’m a size med as well. I ordered the 12…have not shipped yet, so I can not speak to the fit of these, but the 12 is what I always order when bottoms are numerically sized. I’m a size 12 at Eddie Bauer, Talbots, J Jill, Liz Claiborne (JC Penney), if that helps any. You have to decide whether you are to the small or large side of medium and then go with the 10 or 12…does that make since?
Then you should go by the measurement which in numerical sizes are more accurate.
Dear Louis,
Two of my all-time favorite creations are your asymmetric hem button front tunic(A233187) and your lotus print drape front jacket (A233854). Jac looked fabulous in the black tunic (I LOVE all black) and Brenda looked beautiful in the all white. I own the tunic in 3 colors and I can’t believe it didn’t sell out on your show.
Both of these pieces are great for travel and can be worn so many ways. I am hoping that you can bring us more of these fashions in various colors.
Thanks,
Dariann
Dear Louis, As usual your shows were wonderful and wonderfully informative!! My haul included the pewter and ivory pants, ponte knit jacket, twig/pewter sweater, as well as the OTO sweaters (2) and the ENR tank. But especially I wanted to compliment you. Your were resplendent in that beautiful suit. A true designer through and through. You were our eye candy along with your beautiful models and fashions. Thank you.
Dear BCM….thank, you for all the compliments….the suit’s new!
New clothes make you feel great, don’t they? I can tell when the hubby has on something new…he has a bit more zip in his step…LOL
Such beautiful shows. I got at least three of your “idea” outfits shown. Got all the latte and twig WKs, and you didn’t mention when the Dark Suntan tank that Jac wore would be available. I see a matching button cardi on Waitlist, but not the tank.
The Dark Tan will be avail in May
HEADS UP! I just noticed that the white zippered denim vest and the white denim pants that I ordered the first day they were on the site (and then they went on to “waitlist” the next day) are now in the process of being shipped! I also notice that when I click on the item number, it still says they are not available to order yet. So I will let you know if and when I receive them. I have been patiently waiting for these white pants and am very excited about their “processing”.
Great shows Louis. I ordered the coffee bean colored dress as well as the sheer paneled skirt and tops in blue and white. I think they’ll become a summer staple.
“RED”
Nancy, could you please give the item number for the white zippered denim vest? I posted a request for the number but have not seen a reply. Thanks very much.
Elissa, the vest is A252356…mine is in process as well, but it is not yet available for order.
Ladies I do not know what all of this means, but I do not believe the denim pieces are avail for shipping yet…..if you get them? Let me know!
Hi Louis, My white denim ankle pants A252357 that had been on waitlist shipped today 4/4. If all goes well, should have them on Monday.
Please let me know when you get them. I was told they weren’t in yet, so that would interest me a lot!
Thank you Sherry. You just confirmed what I thought. Now the wait. LOL
Sure Elissa! The denim vest is A252356 and the slim ankle jeans are item #A252357. I ordered both in white and Louis, my estimated date of arrival is 4/14 (I’m in California so it always takes longer). I will reconfirm with you when I receive them.
Thank you Nancy. xox
Louis,
I’d love a “Look Book” of your fashions and styling suggestions. What a great reference for all your Linea Ladies and others who need help styling their clothes. Heck, you could almost just print off the color photos from this blog and compile them. Of course, being the artist that you are, I’d bet you’d pull together something absolutely marvelous! We’d love it and more than that we’d PAY for it. Consider it please.
Julia
maybe when I retire?????I’m way to busy now.
Well don’t forget to plan ahead. Maybe sales from such a book could fund those happy retirement days when they finally come along. 😉
Dear Nancy……..I checked the Geranium with the peach tie dye and I would say….no and yes. If you want to keep the look soft like the sweater….then no. The geranium is stronger and much more of a contrast with the sweater. I much prefer the geranium pink WK with the reorder floral cardigans, A233856, coming next month….they are perfect with that sweater especially the new BLACK!
Louis Was waiting forever for the gold fish necklace. I had
ordered it last year and never got it. You had mentioned that it would be here in Jue and now I see it was presented about a week ago. I ordered the silver one but will the gold one be back?=========
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Dear Rita…..yes both the silver and the gold were reordered and will be here sometime in June.
LDO–well I thought I’d be ordering my traditional black-on-black but was swept away yesterday by all the beautiful blue especially in the print pants and the linen jacket. Now I must have the embroidered tunic but have lost track as to when it might come into stock. Clues appreciated! Also wanted to say that I’ve just recently moved to NYC and your clothes have truly solved my confusion about what to wear in this city. I leave home at 8am and don’t return until 9pm or so, and the style is chic and stylish but also somewhat work casual; but not CA casual as I’m used to. Makes my head spin. Your sweaters and jackets have been a godsend! Keep it coming.
Oh, I’ll be taking you up on this offer! And Jac too as I need to know where to buy a decent pair of cute shoes that can handle NY walking and where to get my hair colored!!!
Hi Louis, Great show today! The clothes looked beautiful and Carolyn worked so well with you. The twig linen suit was perfect for her (and hopefully for me too since I ordered the suit in the twig and black and the jacket in chili pepper). I hope you can work with her again on future shows. She is a lovely person and so easy to listen to. Looking forward to tomorrow’s show!
Thanks
Dear Marta….they aren’t the exact same as the last one, but very close…almost exact. They will be avail in June….in black, white, olive and peacock….so the olive and peacock are new colors.
Hi Louis, I am hoping you can answer this question before tomorrow’s shows. How long are the palm frond earrings and how long is the longer necklace? Thanks so much. Looking forward to your shows.
They are all packed up for tomorrows shows, so I can’t measure them. They won’t be avail to buy for another 3 weeks.
Louis,
Will the pewter pants be available on the Tuesday or Wednesday shows? What about the gray tank? Love the blazer and can’t wait for these.
Dear Louis,
Would you suggest ordering the same size in the denim dress and vest as we have in the denim jacket?
thanks
That’s a hard one Debbie….the vest probably yes, because you are going to wear something under it like you would the jacket. The dress is fit differently so for the dress you should order your normal size you would for a woven dress…….which is probably your same numerical size.
HI, Louis! So looking forward to the upcoming shows! Can you tell me, please, more about the cut of the linen blend pants. You described this look as “languid”. Love! Are the pants cut similarly to those of the herringbone pants or are they more fitted? Thanks so much!
Hi Barbara. The cut of the pant is very similar to the Herringbone and the bottom opening is the same, however, the herringbone fabric is extremely drapey, so it may feel easier compared to the linen….but the linen is soft. I think your usual size will be fine. They are numerically sized.
Thanks so much, Louis!
I have been trying to find the Tank Dress A253405, the Denim Dress A252355 and the Jean A252357. The web site shows all these items are sold out. Customer service says they are all sold out and there is no wait list. Is this correct? As far as I am able to tell none of these items has ever been on the web site. Will any of them be on the upcoming shows? Anything else you can tell me about them? Thanks!
Dear Susan the denim pieces are being shipped to the QVC warehouses tomorrow so they won’t be posted for 2 weeks or so, and the tank dress won’t be posted until the day of the show. Customer service doesn’t really have this information as to what is coming in when. They can only tell you what is in the system.
What an education we are getting on the clothing industry. So, delays can be caused by a number of things, one being shipping?
Yes, but these aren’t really delayed, they are being shipped on schedule. You just get the info from me so early that everyone expects them to be there.
April fool??? Have a sell out show, Louis. And, that’s no joke.
Hi Louis
I really do hate to ask you this, as you must be getting weary of being asked,
but are the denim dresses coming for the April 3rd show?
I can’t remember when is was that they are to magically appear.
So sorry for asking again. Looking foward to being in a shopping frinzy
for your shows.
You and Jac have a safe trip going to the Q and back home.
Dear Shari…..No they are OLO pieces and will not be avail for purchasing for at least another 2 to 3 weeks.
Louis – When will the new dress A253405 be available on the Q. Thank you
Dear Joan it’s either on the Tues or Weds show….don’t remember which….I think Weds, but I’m not sure.
Hi Louis: Any news today on the status of the white boho skirt? I purchased mine last season and this season have discovered how fun it is to wear with the new optic white WK sleeveless mock neck with any of your TSV jackets and a host of other beautifully colored Linea jackets. Since I find this such a basic need in my own wardrobe for spring/summer, I’ve followed the discussion on this white boho’s disappearance at the Q Linea blog. Has anything been learned today of the fate of this wonderful white boho?
Sorry to say they are finished for the season. There aren’t anymore coming this year.
That’s sad news 🙁 Thank you very much for checking on it.
The Q has pulled the WK short sleeve cardigan A253409…it’s no longer up for sale??? Is it going to be in one of the shows?
Yes, it’s still on he 6pm show
Is the WK striped top going to be on one of the shows? A253410
No….OLO, but I will sneak peek it.

Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Whisper Knit Tank
Louis, love tis shell. It’s perfect and my all time favorite. Neck line is just right for all occasions. Will it be reordered? Seems like May of us like it as it is sold out in most sizes and colors. Also, what about matching boyfriend sweater–hope it ti is reordered. Thank you.
Good morning. Recently, I received the aqua crepe jacket [A221808] and I love it. I noticed the new color is “pewter”. As a blonde, I have trouble wearing some gray tones. A year or two ago, you brought a whisper knit turtleneck in a gray color and you said on air that everyone, including blondes, could wear this color. You were so right! Would you say the same for the “pewter” jacket? Thanks very much!
Yes….pewter will work because it’s a deep mid grey and will not wash you out. Jac will be wearing the pewter suit on the show. I gave her this color to wear so women could see how well it does look on blonds. It’s the light grays that can be tricky….some look good some don’t….It also depends on what skin color you have….Not all blonds have the same skin color.
Thank you!
Dear Louis,
How do I access the blog replies from yesterday? There were some great answers. Louis. I am 5’6″ and 1x in your clothing and asked about the lapis items coming out and when. I adore your Rayon/Span fabric and am still on waitlist for the black skirt. I did not even try for Twig since the waitlist is soooo long. Are there more rayon/span colors coming? The tank and matching skirt are amazing. I cannot wear sleeveless and scoop so really appreciate the options.
thanks so very much,
Debra
Hi Louis! I’ve always loved your crinkled georgette! Love the styles, the colors, the drape…..everything!!! But I’m having problems with persistent wrinkles in the latest group of tiered boho skirts! They are perfect in every other way! Any suggestions for the wrinkles? Thank you so much!
Dear Anne that is very strange since it is the fabric I always use. Have you tried washing it? Or pressing it damp. If all else fails the only other thing would be to ask a dry cleaner. Maybe some of the ladies have a better solution?
Louis, Will there be any solid color crop pants?
If so, what colors will they be?
Dear Judy ….not crop…ankle in cotton sateen in Black, white and a new color….DARK SUNTAN.
Louis,
What happened with the Pebble Crepe Crop Pants that were coming – in Black, Coffee Bean and Chili Pepper?
Hold tight….they are coming in June.
Dear Louis,
Will there be any crepe pebble skirts to match/coordinate with the fabulous crepe top in black, chili pepper, and navy? Or, some new colors in top and skirt of this great fabric?? The electric blue top and skirt would be fabulous too! For me, it is all about the separates and I am so pleased that I can count on your sizing.
thanks,
Debra
Dear Debra…..I only have the two pieces coming in the pebble crepe, the tunic and the crop pant. If they do well, I will suggest a short skirt to my buyer. I had done a long skirt but it didn’t do so great….maybe it was the colors.
Louis, Just wanted to let you know that the Q warehouse has messed up the new RED V-neck whisper knit long sleeve sweater, A251583– sending out instead the mock neck 3/4 sleeve sweater in red, A251584. This has happend TWICE when I tried to order the V-neck, and I crossed out the erroneous label on the one I previusly returned so it wouldn’t get sent out again in error.
Add to those two errors, three other recent Q errors on Linea orders– including sending an Isaac printed cardi when I had ordered Linea ponte pants!
I do hope you won’t get charged for “returns” that are really the fault of the Q warehouse, and putting the wrong garments into the labeled bags, or sending a totally different designer’s items!– Blinddogs
Dear Blinddogs……I have forwarded you message to my buyers, but honestly this is a problem that has been going on for years, I don’t know why or how often this occurs considering the thousands of packages they ship each day, and I don’t know what the solution is, but I forwarded anyway. Perhaps the sweaters, which were part of the same delivery were not packaged in the correct way.
Was the A253410 striped WK short sleeve top due in with the rest of the Whisper Knits? It’s still not available.
They were all for April, so the others were actually early. The stripe should be arriving soon.
Thanks Louis. I’m really sad about the maxi dress though….thought you might be holding out on us. I have 2 of the feather jersey ones from last year as well as the black and white that can go off the shoulder and they are all going with me. I never thought I’d ever say this but I’m taking the shorts from last year too because I love them!
Hi Louis, During the show the other night you mentioned that the white boho was available to order but its not and I really need one. 🙂 Do you know if they are coming back and if so, when? I’m off to Hawaii in May for a wedding and will be taking all the new cotton pieces because I absolutely loved that fabric from last year, as well as the little black dress. I’m also wondering (and hoping) if you are bringing us a maxi dress this year? I’ve been putting off my final shopping until I saw everything that you were offering and I can’t wait for the shows. As usual I plan on being the best dressed woman there thanks to my own personal designer. Thanks for making us look and feel fabulous no matter where we are on the map!
Jules
Dear Jules, Wow I had no idea the white wasn’t avail. I know there are no more coming in until July and I can’t say that more white are coming, but I can check on Monday. I do not have any maxi dresses coming in this season.
Louis,
Your LBD has me pining for the multi-strand irregular bead necklace in the mixed metals of gold, silver, chocolate, and gunmetal. I was able to get it in silver and gold. They provide volume without bulk and weight. Any chance there will be a reorder of this necklace? How about matching earrings? Hoping…
Julia
I haven’t heard anything.
I know you and Jac are “recovering” from your travels and show and then turning around to ready yourself for the shows next week ~ so please respond at your convenience. Won’t say “leisure” since your probably don’t have much right now. Could you please give me a small, couple of sentence, tutorial as to greys and their undertones? Are there some greys with blue under notes and some with brown or are greys mixed in some other combination of tones? Realize there has to be some black and some white in the mix of course but some greys just seem harder to coordinate with than others.
What for example might you mix in to make your “pewter” and what might be mixed in for example to make “smoke”? Is there a “neutral” combination that works best for most complexions?
Are you asking…if I were to make the color with paints for instance….how I would make pewter and smoke, which by the way are in the same family. I don’t think there is any one color that works best though I think the pewter probably would.
Yes. What elements would be in the pewter/smoke family for example. The yellows or the blues? Thank you this is so helpful! I’m a real novice on this subject.
It’s warm….so yellow
Warm grays have yellow mixed with the black and white and cool grays have blue mixed in……the amount of each ill determine the shade. Brown is made from red, blue and yellow. So that isn’t a color you would use to influence anything.
Oh. OK. That makes a lot of sense. I might THINK that a grey looks like it has brown (mix of red, blue and yellow) as an undertone but what I’m probably actually seeing is the yellow mixed in. Very helpful!
Hi Louis
I love your pull on pants, just wish there were on line only quantities kept in stock year round. Last year I ordered A233182 in the blue with matching blue pull on pants. Will this years jacket in the new colors have matching pull on pants
offered at any time in the future?
Thank you,
PattiJ
Dear Pat, there are no matching pull-on pants in the new colors being offered. The best I can offer is the Linen blend pant in the twig and chili pepper or the twig cotton/span legging in Twig. The ponte pull-on slim pant has been reordered in the original colors and will be avail for fall, which means July or Aug.
Dear Louis: Great show of your creations, but I wanted to put duck tape over Rachel. Usually she is good, but she kept talking and talking BUT you held your own, you talked right over her. I wanted to hear the details of the creations but her loud magpie talking did not allow it. I wish the hosts would show the colors, then allow you to tell us about YOUR creations, they don’t know the half of it. Bless you – glad you mentioned the fishes.
I think Rachel was just enthusiastic and happy to be doing the show. She really loved the presentation, because my shows are very different from the usual shows……so it was excitement you saw. I enjoyed working with her and she looks so good in the clothes!
I thought Rachel was great and her enthusiasm sure did come through!
Hi Louis, Just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed this morning’s presentations. I thought Rachel was great with you. Plus, the camera work was excellent — lots of close-ups of the fabrics and the clothes. All in all a very good show.
Thanks Jane…..I enjoyed working with Rachel too. I very rarely get to work with her.
I’m putting in a request now per a few of us who loved the original ponte knit drawstring skirt (A233183) you offered and was not reordered. Please create another version of this skirt w the pockets in the same material and color (white is a must!) but maybe add a slit in the back so it can be ‘re-offered’ again! This skirt is a workhorse for the spring, summer and fall for some of us. Thanks again.
Chris
I’m singing “I second that emotion”! (Loudly) LoL
Know at least 20+ women who lust for that skirt in my circle of friends. I wear it business casual & for play – one of my Spring/Summer favorites. Love to travel with it too!
Me three! I wore the Black, the White and the Limoges all last summer—and I have all three matching Seamed Jackets and the Black and the White Pull on Pants. I’d love a Chili Pepper, please! And, what about Perfectly Pink Ponte?
Please count me in,too, as a lover of this skirt. Hmmm, chili pepper would be the right spice to add to my summer skirt group.
I never did get one…think it must be pretty darn good!!!
I would love a navy. I have the white and ordered two black. I even wore it this winter with leggings. Its a very flattering cut.
Add me to the chorus. I have it in black and the blue and it was a staple for me throughout the Spring/Summer and even the Fall. I am sorry I did not get the white and would love to have it in navy.
Louis, Will you have any solid color crop pants this summer?
If so, what colors will they be?
Solid…..not crop…..ankle in cotton sateen, white, black and DK. SUNTAN.
The Pebble Crepe Crop Pants should be coming for summer – Black, Coffee Bean, Chili Pepper – I am waiting for them!
Dear Louis,
Firstly, your clothing has become a uniform for my plus size body. I buy cardigans and tops in 2 – 3 colors and that is part of my work wardrobe.
Have you ever considered making your tanks “tagless” ? or perhaps, putting the label and size on the hip with the washing instructions? For modesty reasons, and the work environment and religious circles my life includes, I turn every one of your tanks around. Thank goodness for the high neck in back!! Up until now, I have had to cut out every single tag at the neck but then am able to wear them all. Also, the higher neck does allow for greater coverage and area to coordinate with necklaces and earrings.
Also, the new lapis scoop tank that is coming out is the same fabrication as the WK tanks and swing cardigans earlier in the season. Based on the fabrication, it would seem that they are the same, just a change in the neckline cut? Is that correct?
I am looking forward to the chiffon bottom skirts and hope that they have more of a maxi look with the beautiful chiffon draping the ankles and feet against sandals. At 5’6, a 28 inch skirt with a 5 inch chiffon hem would be 3 inches above my knee which would be too much showing.
Thank you for being the one clothing designer and brand that I can consistently wear and brag about.
Best!
Debra
Louis, I ask that you keep using sewn-in tags. They are easy to remove (I turn all your tanks around too for personal style reasons). I’ve returned many tagless tops, LOGO in particular, because those “tags” can show through & be seen from the outside. Please retain the tags!
Dear Maia, I have heard this complaint before about printed labels. We have no plans to change from sewn in labels.
Dear Debra……….We have chosen not to go the pint label way because of see through problems that arise. Also, where the tags are placed it a QVC requirement. Brand and size tags are at the back neck, and style numbers and washing instructions are at the side bottom. At one time they were all at the back neck, but it was too much, so the Q instructed to move the to which was a good move,
Dear Louis
Can you tell me about the chiffon hemmed skirt? does the chiffon start above or below the knee? I wear 1x in your clothing.
What other pieces would go with it since I cannot wear sleeveless or scoopneck?
Also, will there be more rayon/span sets. I am still on waitlist for the black skirt. The fabric is amazing!
thank you so much, I know I cannot wait until the numbers go live.
Best,
Debra
I forgot to mention that I am interested in the lapis. Looks gorgeous! is the new tank the same as the previous lapis tank/cardigan set?
If you are referring to the Whisper Knit….the new tank is in the Every Needle Rib construction. It is slightly heavier than the previous tank and shorter
Dear Debra….the skirt is approx 23 inches long for the rayon span and then it has the 5 inch border of georgette, which isn’t very very sheer. This is for my xs sample….I am not sure if the plus sizes are longer or the same.It would depend how tall you are where it will hit. Either way you will not be able to see much knee due to the fullness of the skirt at the bottom and the georgette border. There is the matching V-neck top with the sheer mesh sleeve, and anything in Lapis WK will match pretty well…..so you could wear the Lapis Tank with the reorder WK kimono open cardigan in the Lapis which is due in April. Also the emb. tunic, A253384, in one of the previous sneak peeks will work. The colors aren’t exact, but close enough. There will also be a faux de chine peasant shirt coming in May in Lapis with a 3/4 sleeve and slight scoop neck…not very deep.
Thank you so much!!! I am 5’6″ and have gotten so many compliments on your clothing. I wear a shell and cardigan almost everyday to work. The lapis tank and WK cardigan (which I also got in Ruby and Pewter) I get compliments on every single time that I wear it about what a fabulous color it is for me (picture Snow White). I always stocked up on Red and am looking forward to putting together a Lapis collection.
Best to you,
Debra
I was excited to see the black linen blend trousers. What is the inseam? Will there be a petite length? When will they be available? I think they will be perfect for a college graduation in NYC. Can you suggest a top(s) and perhaps a jacket for that weekend in NYC graduation? I’m 5’4″, 130-35 lbs., and pear-shaped. I wore Linea for his high school graduation and would only turn to Linea for this one. Thanks
Dear Lilly they will be on one of my upcoming shows…..either on the 2nd at 4pm or 3rd at 6pm of April. There is a matching jacket or a ponte knit jacket that are solid and match. They will also be on one of the shows. Either one would be good for your shape and both would not only be appropriate for your graduation but would look wonderful. What ever color you chose in the pant there will be a matching linen blend jacket or ponte knit to work with it.
Best of Luck, Louis and Jac on your NEXT THREE shows, my you’re popular these days.
Is there still an appearance scheduled for the 4th of April or not?
No the 4th has been cancelled. It was replaced by the show on the 2nd at 4pm…..a better time I think?
Louis I purchased the navy and smoke crinkle georgette safari shirts. Which necklace and earrings that are available to us would you recommend? Thank You for sharing your outstanding work with us!
Dear Linda…there are four things I will recommend. Four very different looks. My first choice would be the J278125 hammered link and bead necklace and the matching earring J278127….my next choice is the 72inch faceted glass bead necklace in the gray with the matching drop earring…. My next choice is very subtle and delicate….J 287999 in the Silver tone and my last choice is the wind chime necklace J288015….
Of course late next month the palm frond necklaces in silver will be coming.
Dear Linda…..I wasn’t clear about the hammered link and bead necklace. The color I would recommend is the GUNMETAL. It is a chunky necklace…..not at all what it appears to be on thew QVC jewelry site.
