Enjoyed watching the show this morning…the Hubby came in and woke me up at a little after 4am this morning and told me “My Man” was on…what a great Hubby.

What will you be showing tomorrow morning on FEW?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

A great hubby….indeed!…..the boho in the new colors and the animal, print cardigan

  2. Happy Lady

NICE SHOW!!! Enjoyed the show this morning 7/10/14… Thanks for doing a show with presale items we have purchased. I have everything you showed this morning but really enjoyed seeing how you style them. Loved the big shirt belted that Courtney wore. I have in navy and white and had not thought to belt. A shot of youth does bring a new view to styling your clothes. Nothing “old lady” about your clothing. Just want to tell you how much I love the cotton fabric you use for the shorts, sleeveless shirt and jacket/shirt.

For a small window of time, A213621 Pebble Crepe Tunic w/pockets, in white, was available and I have been on the wait list for some time. I am beginning to wonder if I have missed something, or am I in a QVC Twilight Zone. Was it, Will it, Has it, Is it going to, be available? Thanks.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Karen……you haven’t missed anything, but yes it is a QVC Twilight Zone. When a style gets ordered and the order is processed it also gets posted on the Linea site, which it really shouldn’t since the tunic in question won’t be avail until next Feb!! It’s a strange thing in their computer programming. So you just forget about it for now…..it’s a long wait until Feb 2015!!!

      1. Karen in WA

I am laughing and laughing! Thank you, Thank You. I’ll wait 🙂

  4. NJ Lady

    Hi Louis,
Wanting to order the A255669 Draped Button Front Cardigan. Can you tell me if the natural is more of a taupe neutral or a
grey neutral? Also the pewter – is that flecked with black or greys – hard to see – but you said you do see it in person.

You also said to buy your normal size – even though it seems larger than usual in a medium
    Thanks again,

    1. NJ Lady

Also – 2nd part of question
You would buy normal size – even though seems larger than usual in a medium??????
      Thanx

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

I really don’t know how to answer you except to measure it against other cardigans you have and to remember….if you plan on layering it with the V-neck…it has sleeves as opposed to a tank. It also depends how you like your things to fit. If you prefer close to the body…order down one size if you feel the measurements are large….if you want it to flow then order the med. This was bot meant to be big or tight, but to follow and flow over the line of the body with ease.

  5. Kate C.

I must add my plea for an encore of A222262-the floral print scoop neck maxi dress. I will buy this dress in any color, print, length, or sleeve length!!! Thanks, Louis.

  6. Happy Lady

Please don’t kill me for requesting the following: Feather Jersey pants and maxi skirt in solid colors of hemp and smoke. This fabulous summer fabric was blacklist by a few on the forum before it was even sold. FJ was never given a chance to really be appreciated.
We who were lucky enough to get some of the solid colors (and prints) FJ items live in them in the hot summer. Your new fleck sweaters show case the pants and maxi skirt so beautifully. Please do the maxi and pants in hemp and smoke once again and how about chili pepper or the red you used for the FJ Hepburn pants ?

  7. debby

Love your clothing! Can the new V neck T be worn backward for a more crew neck neckline?

  8. Dulwich

Love the new cardi and tank. I go between L and XL. I know the T A255670 will work great in Large. Question re matching cardigan A255669 is this better worn close to body kind of fitted – in which case I would order Large – or in your opinion would it look odd in XL and wear open. I have ordered them both in Large at present but wonder about cardigan looking better larger? Many thanks looking forward to your shows.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dulwich….I wish I could give you a straight up answer but not being able to see you it’s more of a guessing game for me than for you. I think you should compare the garment measurements with a cardigan you already own and see what the difference is.

  9. debby

Can the V neck T be worn backwards for a more crew like neckline? Love your clothing!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear4 Debby…..I would say No….the back neckline is too high , and I think if you reversed it you would feel choked.

  10. DeLois

I also would like the sunburst pleated skirt in black………

  11. Writer with Flair (Patti)

I would love to see the return of the Sunburst Pleated Skirt (A228339) in Black (they sold out before I could get one) and also in Ivory, Navy, and White. Please also consider having the matching Button Front Blouse with Removable Ties (A228338) in the same colors so we can do the “Column of Color” thing with the Sunburst skirt. To carry the column of color even further, could you do some Kathryn
Hepburnesque pleated pants to match this blouse? I love the styles of both the Feather Jersery Wide Leg Pull-On Pants (A233191) and the Woven Fly Front Faux Silk ants (A235315) in whatever fabric you think works the best with the pleats.

I bought both the Blush/Black and Bamboo/Black combinations of the Chanel-look Button Front Jackets with Pocket Detail (A233851) and the Lotus Print Tanks (A233855) and Cardigans (A233854). I also got a pair of each of the Black and the Bamboo coordinating Fly Front Pants (A233852). I would love to see all these items in the following color combinations: Navy and White, Black and White, Red and White, Red and Black, Camel and Ivory, and Navy and Camel. It would be great to have matching pants in Navy, Camel, Ivory, Red, and White–in addition to the current Black color. Could you also do a solid navy and a solid black classic length (longer) blazer in that same wonderful linen hopsack-look fabric and use your fabulous gold LDO buttons?

May we have more of the faux silk items? The silk tunic (A251589) and pants (A251590) are some of my favorites. I would love to see them in Navy, Teal, Red, Salmon, Cream, Taupe, and Camel. It would be nice to have the Chiffon Jaquard Tunic (A251587) in the same colors to go with the pants.

I missed out on the Cotton Blend Swing Jacket (A87434) in the Limoges Blue color. Please do another bright blue color jacket and the coordinating cotton blend Mock Neck Neck Elbow Length Sleeve Sweater (A87423) to go with it. Whatever colors you decide to make in the jacket, please consider having the matching mock neck to go with them. Those two pieces can turn any pair of pants into an “outfit.”

I love my Whisper Knit Boyfriend Sweaters (A251578) and the coordinating Tanks (A251579) and Mock Necks (A251584). Navy and taupey colors always work for me. Could you also consider doing these “twin sets” in a pale yellow color and perfectly pink or the peachy pink of the Short Sleeve Knit T-Shirt Dress with Pockets (A254472)? Bringing back all the classic colors with matching Whisper Knit Pull-On Skirts (A253411) would be great as well.

Since I “came to the party late,” I would be thrilled to get just about any of your jewelry items that have sold out in the past. Here are some of the ones I missed that I have seen in your blog: the 3-Row Graduated Bead Necklace (J153879), the Black Bead & Goldtone Necklace (J153875), the 36″ Simulated Pearl & Bead Necklace
(J153876), and the 45″ Simulated Pearl & Bead Necklace (J153877).

Please bring back the Classic Necklace (J287999) in any color combination. (I am on the waitlist for the pink/gold combo.) If you decide to go with any of the colors I mentioned above in the Faux silk request, could you also do these necklaces in colors that coordinate with those pieces as well?

Love those torsades (J290366)! Please bring back the Red and other current colors and add a Yellow, Blue, Green, and White.

Thanks, Louis for listening to us. We certainly do appreciate it

    1. Goldie76

Yes! to the Sunburst Accordion Pleat skirt from me as well. How I love that skirt, and my black is showing its wear and tear. I own the tarragon, but return to that black too often for its own good. How about brown, grey, navy in that skirt? Love it!

  12. Dana

    Hi Louis,

Thank you for designing a beautiful collection of classics that you can mix and match through the years. I’m starting a new job this month, after being out of work for the last year, so I have a large wish list. I did manage to buy the silver fish pendant to celebrate my 50th birthday (my first Linea purchase)and I love it! I have been wanting to buy from your line for several years, but the timing has just never worked for me. I would like to know when purchasing apparel items, is it best to purchase based on the item’s sizing chart (I usually determine by bust size), or size down since the knits would have stretch for a more fitted look. I try to make sure it will fit in the bust but I don’t want it big everywhere else? Also, since QVC does not like to order tall and I need a 34″ inseam, how many inches can I get if I change the hem? Glad you and Jac had a great 4th of July! Sorry, but I just could not find 39 flags…must be my aging eyesight. LOL

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dana…..congratulations on your new job! As for what would fit you best….my best advise would be to ask the Linea Ladies. If you give them your height, weight and measurements…the women who come close to yours can tell you what would work best. They are an amazing group of very helpful women and I know they would be very helpful in advising you what sizes would work best.

  13. Sharon L

Encore please! I would love to see you bring back the linen jacket A21278–it originally had gorgeous beads. Maybe the price point could be sellable without the beads and just with the soutache trim– it’s a great jacket and would love to have it in navy or red. The beads didn’t always stand up to the dry cleaner, but the bones of the jacket are fabulous. I also love the linen open front jacket A9398. I still wear it; I have them in four colors and it’s classic and cool. Finally would love more colors – jewel tones particularly’ in your cotton/rayon blend top with the crochet neckline A71276. I have 5 of them and wear them still. I remember you saying that your mom was the inspiration.

Linea ladies are willing to pay more for natural fibers like linen and cotton. Hope the Q buyers are listening

    1. nikki

I agree Louis, I would pay more to get natural fibers in your beautiful designs.

      1. Diane

Me three! Bring on the natural fibers!!

  14. Susan

I have been very impressed with the quality of ponte knit used for the drawstring skirts I purchased last year at QVC (A233183). Last week I spilled a large soft drink (dark cola) on the white skirt. I had some appointments, so there was no time to go home and change. I stopped at a gas station and used paper towels to blot off the liquid. To my surprise, the stain practically disappeared! The lining kept my legs dry. Other white skirts in my wardrobe would not have fared so well, and I probably would have been sticky all day. I have worn the drawstring skirts many times, yet they still look new. I hope that you will consider making a white dress in this ponte fabric.

  15. Diamondscribe

Louis, I just ordered the new drape-front cardigan and matching T in both seafoam and pewter. I have admired the flecked tank that has been offered in the past but it was too short for me to order. Thank you for making this T a bit longer. Once I get this batch to try on, I imagine I will go back and order the other colors. These two items are great for year-round here in Florida. I want to thank you for all of the beautiful clothes you bring us and for keeping in mind how to translate them to plus sizes. The buyers for the department stores in our area have a frightful idea of how plus sizes dress. Your clothes are remarkable in how well they work for both casual and career wear – just by changing up how they are put together.

  16. Karlakaye

    Dear Louis,
Love the new flecked drape front cardigan just posted, but am confused about sizing. Could you possibly offer any insight into how it fits. I have the natural flecked tank in a small that fits just right. But the measurements for the cardi in the small are more than five inches larger in the bust ( 35 3/4 for the tank, 41 for the cardigan). I am thinking I should size down to a XS, but wondered if you knew, if Jac had tried on a sample etc.? TIA if you can help. Love the style and fabric!!

    Karla

  17. NJ Lady

    Hi Louis,
Please show us pictures of the draped front cardigan — So I know what color to order
    Thanks for all you do

  18. TexasBarb

There’s a couple of new items posted today….

A255670 Flecked T shirt and A255669 Draped Button Front Cardigan

    1. TexasBarb

Sorry for the duplication. I was having trouble with the CAPTCHA code.

  19. TexasBarb

There’s a couple of new items posted today….

A255670 Flecked T shirt and A255669 Draped Button Front Cardigan

    I ordered mine.

  20. Beachbird

Scoop from Godfreak, formerly Godfreako, Linea Leasure by Louis Dell Olio….
    HMMMMM…..what could this be?

  21. Karen in WA

I missed the stone herringbone pant, also could not get the A253580 in twig. I would like a natural looking fiber pant that would go with the lace jackets. Numbered sizes are the best. Also, please, soft pink Kate shirt, and a non religious cross necklace. Thanks for giving us hope. 🙂

    1. Writer with Flair (Patti)

Ditto on the Stone Herringbone Pant (A226258) and the matching Jacket (A226257). That faux linen fabric in the Stone color goes with so many things in my wardrobe–Ivory and Taupe whisper knits, Twig knit pants, etc. It is such a beautiful light-weight and classy fabric. It is perfect for travel and is so incredibly well-made. More, please!

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti….the returns on these two pieces were very high and would never be considered as reorders.

        1. Writer with Flair (Patti)

I am sorry to hear that. I have the jacket in Stone and just love it. It looks like a gorgeous silk–but easy care. What’s not to like?

  22. muzzimom (sandi)

I would think that your pebble crepe crop pants would be reodered, but just in case, I’m putting in a plug for them please!!! # is A255183

  23. Eileen

Hi, Louis, Here is my two cents on items that I would like to see reordered. A253405-mambo dress. I bought it in black and absolutely love it. I would love to buy the blue one, but I prefer to have the matching A232520. I bought the black one which looks fantastic with the dress. The other colors in that bolero look terrible on me. I would definitely buy more if you offer other c olors. Will you be bringing the bolero back next year? I hope so. A253408 ENR tank. I bought the black and lapis ones. I am waiting for the lapis drape front cardigan to go with it. I love that tank because of the weight of it and the fit with the small rib at the bottom. A226256 safari shirt. I bought it in the chili pepper, and I love the style. Personally I think that style is much more flattering than the sheerer safari shirt you are showing now. I would love to see you bring that back. I don’t think the straw color you offered sold well, but I think the style is beautiful, and I hope you will do it again in some other colors.

    1. Maia

I wear the straw safari shirt open with a brown tank – gorgeous!

  24. Sherry

Is it time for another sneak peek…pleeease…OH NO, sneak peek withdrawal…LOL.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry…..There really won’t be anything new on the June 10th show. There will be some items that have already been posted on the Linea site, but have never had any air time like the Ikat print shirt/jacket. I will also have sneak peeks of some jewelry and items coming way in the future, but nothing I have pictures of yet. The wood bead tunic and the two other items are being held for PM Style on the 28th of July so those sneak peeks will come later in the month.

      1. Sherry

Oh, ok…didn’t realize they were holding the new stuff till the end of the month…guess I’ll just have to wait.

  25. Happy Lady

HI Louis, Thanks for the wonderful July 4th pictures. Made me proud to be an American. In reading some of the latest requests, I noticed some of us would like updated encores. I would so love to buy A199786 Georgette Crinkle pullover, V neck, elbow length dolman sleeve top and A199787 Georgette Crinkle Elastic Waist skirt with overlay, once again (pics available on line). I have all of your georgette skirts but what makes this skirt special is there are no pleats and no ruffles. Ruffles are not always appropriate. Both pieces are so simple, yet very classic. Wear with sandals, hi heels, winter, summer. To church, to work or casual. Very slimming and great length at 29 +-. Talls and petites can also wear. I have in black and ivory. I was hoping your “cargo or camp” shirt in georgette would be done in ivory. Love ivory and brown (buttons) in summer. Also wear with black camp shirt and looks fabulous. Hope you will consider. Many missed out on these jewels.

  26. Bcm

    Hi Louis,

Catching up on my reading. Last weeks weekend WSJ had an article about women’s new secret weapon – the bodysuit!! Right on target and trend as always LDO. Bravo – can’t put anything past you. Thank you once again for all you do for us. (BTW I purchased your bodysuit- the last time I wore one was 1972.LOL.) Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.

    1. NMM

They are FABULOUS!! I have the long sleeved ruby one with the ruby ballerina skirt, and now the new black one. LDO is a magician…

  27. Miss. Vicki

    Hello Mister Delll’Olio,

Hope you and Jac have wonderful and safe Fourth of July! Your wood beaded tunics look as good as I remembered….;) Have a great show on the 10th and Louis, please tell me you are cutting down on your French Vanilla Decafs! 😛

  28. Beryl

Here in Wilmington, NC we are experiencing the earliest hurricane since 1901. Fortunately the eye is passing thru and all we have is heavy rain and winds. The Outer Banks north of us is exacuating. Thanks for your good wishes. I’m cozy in my wk’s and waiting for better weather tomorrow.
    Beryl

  29. Dariann

    Dear Louis,

Do you think that QVC will reorder A255123, your double layer tank? I was out of town and missed the presentation, which means I missed ordering it because it sold out so quickly.. This fabric is a dream, so great for travel. I own the button front tunic with collar in all 3 colors and would like the tank as well as long, flowing pants to match.

On another note, the fire is still burning in Pope Valley and we can still hear helicopters overhead. This might be the beginning of a very long fire season in California because the vegetation is so dry.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dariann….it’s too early to know if they will be reordered. We aren’t getting much news about the fires…..hope all is well.

  30. Susan (aka CarlyTwila)

Hi Louis – I wore an oldie but goodie today and couldn’t help but wonder if possibly this style might come back some day, perhaps with a tweak or two. It is a short-sleeved sweater with a very interesting neckline: A92295. The neckline is round in front and v’d in back, and reversible. The sleeves are Dolman-style. I have a dark red and a navy and love them both. I think this style would look great in a whisper knit, either long-sleeve for fall/winter, or short for spring/summer. The fabric of this older version is a little heavy for the heat of a summer day, but today was cool and it felt just right. Whisper knit would make it more versatile. The neckline is so interesting too – very sexy – not for those that complain of low necklines. But it is nice to have a variety and there are certain occasions where this lower neckline is just fabulous. Maybe the Q would consider this?
Happy 4th – hope you have a wonderful weekend!
    Susan

    1. queendiva

I would so love a WK with elbow length Dolman sleeves and the above mentioned neckline!
I also think we need a new line from you: Linea Encore. Repeating some past, classic, much loved styles.

    2. Pecan Cookie

I too really like this top and have the same colors as Susan. I wear the navy with the floral boho, a long necklace and love the fast easy cool without thinking about it look. I wear with the V in the front along with a tank when wearing to work but love it without a tank for other occasions. Dolman sleeves are also my favs. Thanks for considering a WK version!

  31. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

Happy 3rd Louis! Am I remembering something mythical or did you ever comment here that A255142 – the crushed gauze open front asymmetrical cardigan – would be reordered next year? Any news on the matching skirt and tiered tank top as to whether they might be reordered?

Hope you and Jac have a lovely Independence Day holiday weekend!

  32. Bobbie

    Hi, Louis,
I just wanted to let you know that I am really enjoying the placement print tunics and skirts and embroidered tunics this summer. No matter where I go, someone stops to compliment me on them. They wash and pack beautifully, as well, so they are my favorite new Linea items this summer. (The Phoenix prints were my favorites last summer.) The new paisley print crops are also really cute, and I live in the pebble crepe tunics and crop pants, and leggings Recently, I attended two concerts in Dallas and Austin and wore the new polyester assymetric skirt, open cardigan and double layer tunic with your jewelry. At both concerts, I was stopped by total strangers and complimented and asked about my outfit! The fabric was so light and cool in this hot, humid Texas weather and just flowed so nicely and looked so feminine. I could go on and on, recounting the times your fashions have given me the confidence to dress for some challenging occasions, ( funerals, weddings, special ceremonies, graduations) when ordinarily I would doubt myself. Thank you for considering all the sizes, shapes, and tastes of your ladies. You do an incredible job, not only of pleasing us, but of truly making us looking our best! With much appreciation! Have a safe and lovely summer!

P.S. Thank you for the heads-up about the recent QVC “easy pay” offer. I was able to get the silvertone crystal watch. I already have it in goldtone and absolutely love it! Of course, I also took advantage of the offer and grabbed other pieces that I had on my wish list. It was a good day!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Bobbie…..that you for your note. I am very happy you are enjoying your clothes and that they are giving you self confidence. It’s a terrific feeling knowing when you go out you look good….and then to get compliments is the cherry on the cake. I have been in Texas may times and know how hot it can be so I’m doubly happy you are finding the clothes cool to wear…..enjoy!

  33. ceicei

    Louis,
I first bought your items when you offered the ponte jackets. I bought every color. Since then I am totally in love with your clothes. The mosaic two piece outfits are something I never would have considered, but your presentation and sneak peaks convinced me to try it. The list goes on and on, ikat set, animal inspired sweaters, all of the whisper knits, t shirt dress, and on and on. My new love pebble crepe pants. The jewelry is fantastic. Know that you have a loyal following, and I am proud to be one of them.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear ceicei…thank you so much for your lovely words. I do appreciate it….don’t be a stranger here. I don’t recall you posting before…..Am I correct?

  34. Carol

    Dear Louis
I want to let you know that hardly a day goes by when I’m not wearing Linea. Everywhere I go, I get compliments on what I’m wearing and truly those compliments belong to YOU. Thank you for not only bringing us wearable, affordable FASHION, but for giving us the styling tips that put it all together for us. Count me in among your friends although I am sure by now I’m not much of a mystery to you.

    crdlb

    1. ceicei

No, I haven’t posted here before but I have on the forum. I live in the Boston area and get many compliments on my clothes when I shop at high end stores. When I tell them where I got them, they don’t believe me but they do recognize your name. Your clothes make me feel special. I thank you.

      1. Louis Dell'Olio

I have two aunts and many cousins that live in the Shrewsbury area and Jac’s sister lives in the Marblehead area. I spent many summers in Cape Cod……Welcome to my website.

        1. Jan

Well then, you must know Beverly, Mass. that’s where I live. And Louis, your clothes have made me happier than any other. Thanks!

  35. Jules/Ciley

Dear Louis, Thank you so much for your quick and honest answer. I am happy to know that you stay away from that forum because as Deb said, while there are many wonderful, intelligent, happy posters, there are always a few negative nellies. Those people are dealt with in short order but there are a couple of posters who seemed compelled not only to keep things stirred up but to attack you on a regular basis. Not that I think you need defending, (it’s not like you’re over there making these clothes in your garage), but just know that there are a PACK of Mother Lions who do NOT like our pride being attacked and are not going to let stupid rumors become facts! I’m in beautiful Northern California where the high each day for the rest of the week is mid 70s. The sky is blue, the sun is shining, and I’m wearing the black crops, white tunic with the logo, long black beads, and some adorable sandals, outfit courtesy of YOU! On my flight over when I went to the restroom the Attendant told me I had the best outfit on the plane. LOL Of course that is normal when you wear Linea. Hope you and Jac have a wonderful 4th. Thanks again for clearing that poop up and I promise not to bring it here again. I was just frustrated beyond belief!

  36. Debbie M

I can not believe that some people are adamant they they know your arrangement with QVC and their arrangement with you. Frankly Scarlett, I do not give a damn. I care about getting my Linea. I too have been disappointed when something I loved was not reordered ( like the side zip brushed cotton crops). However when there isn’t a reorder on something, then there is more money in the budget for something new. Even when we lose we win. I prefer to focus on the positive. Sorry you had to read that mess. I don’t comment on those type threads, they serve no purpose and I have better things to do, like look for sneak peeks! Enjoy the 4th and lets hope we only get some rain.

    Debbie

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Debbie….thank you for your continued support, and I don’t mean financially….though some of the posters on the forum would not believe that. I make it a practice NEVER to read what is posted on the QVC forum. Much of it is gossip and assumptions and total rubbish. Since this particular post was brought to my attention by Jules I felt I had to see what was going on. It only supported my belief to stay away. The misinformation that is stated as fact is mind boggling. The only comment that really stung was that statement that I was not sincere and had ulterior motives for doing what I do here on my web site…..There is a saying that Jac and I use quite often these days, and I find it very appropriate after reading the posts….”no good deed goes unpunished”.

      1. Debbie M

I totally believe in your sincerity. You go way beyond what other designers do and we greatly appreciate it. You have no way of knowing how much we buy, unless you have seen my overflowing closet. LOL! I have a word for these types of posters, lol. Luckily, the majority of the posters and posts are very nice and helpful. Thanks to you, some of us have become great friends, no financial reward to that. It is priceless.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I too like to think I have made some good friends…..sight unseen maybe, but a little mystery is good too….LOL….as a kid I always wanted pen pals!

          1. Jan

I’d like to thank you for your reply to my earlier questions to you. I for one was honestly only looking for answers to a very confusing situation essentially caused by someone taking some info posted here and making a very broad statement on the forum. I’m not trying to stir anything up.

Perhaps we all would be wise to NOT carry things from one site to the other!

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jan….I think it’s best if my remarks are left on my website and not re-posted on the QVC forum. If anyone is interested in what I do here they are more than welcome to come log in…..it seems no matter what is said there are those that like to twist anything said to bolster their own agendas.

      2. Hi, Louis! I HATE going “over there” when this c*ap starts up. The problem for me is that there are FAR more people reading this stuff than there are those posting. Right now, for instance, there are “155 Members and 13016 Guests Online”. So no matter how outrageous and false what is posted there may be, there are shoppers reading it and many believing it. Look what happened to the Feather Jersey! A vicious campaign started up about it before it had even been presented, negative reviews were posted by those who hadn’t even bought it (along with other Linea that had not been purchased), and extremely negative comments were woven into each and every thread. I have even wondered if having a designated Linea Forum on QVC is in your best interests. These fora are very poorly monitored and “opinions” not supported by fact and in fact are vicious spread like wildfire and are not removed.

        1. Joan

Barbara, Louis and Jac seem like two of the kindest people on the planet.I know you are one of their fiercest defenders, however, when anyone is in the public eye, they are subjected to opinions, both good and bad. There is no right way to deal with this issue. Some people like to be controversial and thus will keep an argument going just for the sake of arguing. Those forums are indicative of how catty and argumentative women can be, yes I said women. I have never know a man to go to war over such things as clothing choices or makeup. Anyway, you can deal with it by not responding at all. My father told me a long time ago it takes at least 2 people to start a war and to pick your battles. I would say that 95% of the people posting on that forum embellish what they post anyway so it’s like arguing with a non-entity. You can only argue with facts and most of what I read is based on opinion, not facts. The other choice would be to ask the Linea ladies not to start such provocative threads like the one in question. For those who like to argue it is just like waving a red flag in front of a bull. I’m sure the intent is good but honestly starting a thread asking customers to NOT buy something so they don’t return it if it doesn’t fit? New customers will NEVER buy then not knowing their correct size, and like the domino effect, the line can’t grow without new customers. Louis’ answers have been very gracious and I think that is the lesson to be learned here.

  37. Jules/Ciley

Louis, will you PLEASE clarify something for the sake of a repeated heated argument on the Fashion Forum? I would love to be able to quote you directly. WHO pays the manufacturer for the clothes you design for Linea, you personally or QVC? Thank you very much!!!
    Jules

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jules….I looked at the forum and did not see any conversation where this info was relative. What conversation are you referring to?

      1. Carol

It’s the thread “Please don’t buy wk pants if”. It’s a burning paper bag, so be careful.

      2. Jules/Ciley

In the thread about not buying the Whisper Knit pants. There is a poster who keeps saying that you pay for manufacturing! I think its the one that is titled Don’t Order the WK pants but there were 3 threads going at once regarding that issue. I would copy and paste it here for you but I’m on my relatively new laptop that I’ve not figured out yet how to do that. If you can’t find it I will get someone else to link the thread here for you. Thanks! 🙂

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I do not pay for manufacturing…..my manufacturer does. No designer does unless they own the manufacturing company which I do not.

          1. Jan

Who pays to receive the merchandise from the manufacturer, and who is the first recipient of the delivery? This issue is just spinning in a big circle and it’s very frustrating to be honest.

Does QVC pay the manufacturer for the product and receive the shipments directly from the manufacturer?

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Jan….I sorry but I’m not allowed to discuss the business of QVC….It would seems very logical who pays for the merchandise. If you as a manufacturer shipped to Saks 5th Ave….who do you think would pay the manufacturer. I don’t want to be evasive, but I don’t want to be caught in the middle a conversation on the forum.

  38. Dodie Schuetz

Thanks Louis, I will order it now…we leave for London, Ireland, Scotland on Sun. So it won’t be going , but that and the gray will be waiting when we get home. Wish u could order your new items for me on the 10th, but, time change allowing, I’ll try and pull them up online! As always, we appreciate not only your spectacular clothes, but that you take time to be our private fashion consultant. Who else would do that?? Dodie

  39. Dodie Schuetz

Hi Louis:quick question…I love the new boho skirt colors and will definitely get the gray, but I’m confused about the taupe. Did you have, at one point, this skirt available in a color called “mocha”? If so, is that the same or a different color than “taupe”? It’s hard to tell from the qvc pictures since they look, to me, like two different colors of the same skirt! Really want to pick up taupe but don’t want a return if it’s the same as mocha…. Many thanks

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Dodie….they are very different colors. The mocha is more of a pale brown…..coffee with milk……the taupe color is hard to describe…a med. gray beige?

  40. Kate

LDO, I don’t know if this is too limited a style but as I was out and about in your pebble crepe tunic this weekend it occurred to me that this fabric would make a really nice cheomsang style top?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate if a style doesn’t translate well from a large to a 3x then it is too limited. The beauty of a cheomsang is how fitted it is….I’m not sure it would translate well?

      1. Kate

Of course you’re right but I’m betting you could do something with the signature elements–frog closures, Mandarin collar–that’s still an easy but elegant fit. Just something to consider as it would be amazing with your jewelry (and might be nice over the new pebble crepe cropped pants, too).

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

OK, now I get the idea….not the typical dress with the slanted top closure….maybe down the front?

          1. Kate

Yes, more like that. Tunic style but with a bit more of fit.

            1. Carol

Yes, yes, yes and I’d love pebble crepe or faux shantung cigarette pants to go with it

    Re-posting my question:
    Dear Louis,

While we are on the subject of reorders was A210360 the WK scoopneck top with rib detail at the sleeve edges and waist area reordered and will there be new colors in that? Also I love A237410, the scoopneck WK L/S sweater with the ruching at the scoop area (sort of a peasant look); was this sweater reordered? and if so, will there be new colors in this top also?

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

      1. Goldie76

        Louis,

One might wonder about a statement claiming that one ivory is better than all others. I would like to step forward and say that your ivory is superior to all. Okay, I must admit that I love it because it is an ivory that works well with my pale olive skin and (still) dark hair. However, I am claiming your ivory’s superiority because I am fairly certain that blondes and redheads would look smashing in it, too.

Many of the sweaters in ivory that I purposely skipped over this past winter season (because I thought I was supposed to look better in white) I am buying now. Love your ivory! I also see that ivory/white, black and deep reds (especially oxblood red) are the big colors this fall, along with grey. As usual, you are ahead of the game.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Chris…I realized I only answered half of your question….sorry but the peasant WK isn’t a reorder. Every time I make a style like that, and i did make a sweater like that before [one of Jac’s favorites], women think it’s too big, but that’s the nature of the peasant style…..the shirring gives a larger chest measurement which they don’t understand or like.

      1. Cathy in PA

Well, I’m thrilled to hear A210360 is coming in Ivory, and will immediately go order A237410 in colors I don’t already have; this lady LOVES that sweater, and thanks you for bringing it to us 🙂

        1. Chris/Jazzmom

It’s wonderful that the ribbed waist WK top with the ribbed sleeve edges is being reordered with ivory as the new color. I really really liked the peasant shirred neckline as did DH. It was not too large at the neckline and it showed off my collarbones very nicely. It was my go to WK sweater for a great part of the fall/winter.

          1. Chris/Jazzmom

I forgot to add that the peasant sweater showed off necklaces very well without them getting lost on top of the sweater.

          2. Louis Dell'Olio

Jac would agree with you. When we went out to a dinner with friends or a party at someone’s home…she wore that sweater in the black or berry red.

      2. queendiva

So sorry that the WK peasant sweater was not reordered, It is one of my all-time faves. Like Jac, I will continue to enjoy the sweaters I have for years to come. Except for summer months, a week does not go by when I do not wear at least one of the color in that style.

  42. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

I get so many compliments when I wear any of the Crushed Gauze pieces and everybody wants to touch the fabric! 🙂 Yesterday I wore the sky blue cardigan and matching skirt with the yellow porcelain vase v-neck top, wind chime necklace, wire cuff which I was lucky to get when a few more became available…. There is something about this set that is a compliment magnet. And so many ways to mix and match the pieces around – including with Linea print tops from previous years. Thank you again!

  43. Kathy

Louis, love A255245 The pacha pocket tunic on your last QVC show. Unfortunately, the length is like a dress on me in my x-large size. I am only 5’3″ tall. Will have to have tailor take at least 3″ off. Would love to see a version of this in petite length and elbow sleeve.

Just a suggestion, but hoping. Thanks.BUV4

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kathy sorry the gauze jacket didn’t work for you. Actually I wouldn’t mind it long s a long gauze coat….if the pockets were in the right place. Unfortunately QVC doesn’t order petites for my line. It would take a big part of the budget and they would rather order another style.

      1. Kathy

Thanks for taking time to respond. I will have it shortened by my tailor to suit me. Looks like enough fabric at bottom below patch pockets to allow for alterations. Will never understand QVC limitations on certain things. I’ve been a member for at least 20 years and have seen a lot of requests satisfied after a very long time. Certainly there are enough beautiful items in your line without having petites. Again, thank you. Still love that top.

  44. NMM

    Hello!

Once again, I need color help. I am seriously remedial in this area and am so thankful for the coaching! I am excited to see the seafoam lace jacket back again. Do you feel this would look well with the twig rayon separates?

Thank you so much for always taking so much time with us!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NMM….sorry for the delay…I checked the colors sea foam and twig together and they look wonderful!

      1. NMM

Hooray! I got the last one in my size – M. ALWAYS the first to sell out. Thought about black but I have so much black already… and quite a bit of black lace at that. Hoping the seafoam arrives in time for me to pair it with the Twig rayon separates for my aunt’s wedding! A widow for several years now and at 70-ish she’s getting remarried. This should be perfect. =0) You always dress us for happy occasions! Thank you so much!

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear NMM….I think you will be very happy with the Sea foam color and it really is pretty with the twig jersey pieces. If you are thinking about how to accessorize, may I suggest the “blue mist pearls” to wear with the outfit. CONGRATULATIONS to the NEWLYWEDS….a lesson to be learned….”it’s NEVER to late”.

          1. NMM

Well, the jacket didn’t arrive in time (nuts) but I wore the twig separates with the white jean jacket with gold buttons (an EXTREMELY informal wedding – no ties! No jackets!) with a large statement necklace of mother of pearl, mother of pearl large cuff and earrings. (I will have to save my pennies for the blue mist pearls!) The twig looks lovely with MOP! Now I will save the seafoam jacket for the next wedding. I got many compliments and I felt perfectly appropriate. That’s why we all love your clothes so much. Pretty, flattering, ladylike, and APPROPRIATE! I always feel confident that I’m wearing the right thing for the right occasion. Thank you again so much! =0) (and you are right – it’s never too late! She has been a widow for several years and married a widower she has known for about 30 years. Their kids went to high school together. Between them they have 26 grandchildren and great-grandchildren!! We had a marvelous time – one of the happiest days we’ve had all year. Thank you for the well-wishes. Truly a joyful day for our family. =D )

  45. Alice Speelman

    Dear Louis,

I am enjoying my collection of chili pepper whisper knit cardigans, short sleeves, tanks, and ponte jacket. My question is will the chili pepper cheetah print v-neck top be offered in the near future ? I saw it in one of your sneak peaks and loved the way it pulled the black and chili pepper together, especially with your assorted, beautiful black jewelry. If not, will there be other print tops to complement the chili pepper going into fall? Thank you for lighting up my closet and for making me so proud of your label in each garment!

    Sincerely,
    Alice Speelman

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

There is a print top coming….the color is called brick red, and there is another patterned knit top that will work with Chili Pepper…..the color is called Brick Red, but it is very close to CP.

      1. Sherry

These “Brick Red” tops that are coming, will they be in August and will either of them work with the Chili Pepper linen blend pants/jacket?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry…..the colors may work, but the linen is a summer warm weather fabric, and the Aug group is the start of Fall/Winter….so I really don’t see them mixed.

          1. Sherry

            Thanks…was just wondering…

  46. June

Louis …waiting for your Boho skirt… Please make in a Brown color..have all others need brown (chocolate like) . Thank you

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear June….I did a color called Mocha and the are still some left, so I won’t be offering another brown any time soon….so many colors to do and I can only add one or at best two new ones a season.

      1. cathy

        Louis,
I received the smoke boho and it is fantastic! I had waited so long for it and, in fact, ordered a few of them. I have most of the other colors already. I guess this year you were only able to add one color (smoke) and I hope to see colors like turquoise come back next year…I think you had that color before I discovered them and you. Anyway, thanks for your beautiful clothes and all the effort to you to in bringing such great quality and value to us.

  47. Cela

    Louis,

The new WK tanks are soooo Bee-u-ti-ful. The cut is flattering beyond belief. The cut in shoulders have a slimming effect to the arms.

Can you see it extended into a WK sheath dress, maybe? Por Favore? Just wondering what was cooking in that brilliant mind of yours.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Cela….I think that would be a great idea, but so far they haven’t sold that well? May be it was the colors, but I think the colors are beautiful….I think all the reasons you like it may be what makes it too limited……just guessing

      1. Sheesh

Hi, Louis. How about an ENR Whisper Knit Tank dress for next Spring/Summer? I’d buy one in every color! Oh, and with matching Shrug/Boleros, of course. A girl can dream, can’t she?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I already have a sample, but they didn’t buy it…..I think they were afraid no one would buy a sweater tank dress….I liked it….maybe next Spring.

          1. Cela

What a shame. And there’s absolutely nothing like it at QVC. I think WK is still too much of a secret. What the rules are of OLO are a mystery to me, but your gorgeous Jade, Pink tanks matched spring Dooney and Bourke totes exactly. Why wouldn’t they promote clothing along with the bags that people buy by the thousands?

          2. Jazzbabe

Too bad they didn’t order it. Your ENR is the best. Please try again.

  48. Pat

    Hi Louis,

Several months ago your leather and sweater jacket showed luggage as a color on wait list. The wait list orders were canceled.
Will the luggage color be available in the future?

    Thank you,

    Pat

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pat….it is scheduled for my Aug. shows….not sure which, but it is definitely coming. Since it is a reorder…as soon as it gets delivered and processed it will probably be posted before the shows.

  49. Sherry

Morning Louis…did the A228341-WK Long sleeve jewel neck top/tunic get reordered? I missed out on the Tobacco color last year and was wondering if I would be getting a second chance at it.

      1. Sherry

Well darn it all…I’m sure there will plenty of other WK sweaters to take it’s place…So looking forward to hearing about and seeing all the new colors and styles upcoming for the Fall/Winter seasons. Thanks so much.

  50. Judy

Godfreak just posted a sneak peek of
    A255672 Beaded V Neck Tunic
    A255669 Draped Button Front Cardigan
    A255670 Flecked V Neck T Shirt
Please tell us more. They all look great!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That gODFREAFo always beats me to the punch! Sneak peeks coming.

    2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy….I went to the forum to see the post, but it’s gone…….must have been deleted.

      1. Sherry

Yes, those posts get removed pretty quickly…you have to be there at the right time to get to see anything.

      2. Judy

It was only up very few minutes before webbie deleted it. I am surprised I saw it at all.

  51. Anonymous

Louis what color shoe do you like with navy WK pants? I have not found navy shoe that I like with Navy WK.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

That depends on what you are wearing on top. Black always works with my navy since it is pretty dark. I like a dark wine or oxblood color. Even a dk brown can work if you are wearing a luggage color jacket. A good navy shoe is hard to find. I did them in both calf and suede when I was at AK and they always sold out, because I was the only designer line to do a good dark navy.

  53. randi

There is a bit of a discussion on the Q boards regarding the whisper knit pants anticipated in the Fall and your comment about hoping that only the ladies who know these pants will order them because the Q is sensitive to high returns. It is likely that you already are aware–but just in case you are not—the last order of Wk pants were ordered by many who knew exactly what they were ordering and wanted exactly what the description online highlighted. They were not concerned because the pants were designed to be a certain length or fit. They were disappointed because the pants that arrived were in no way the same in length as the pant measurements defined. I was one of those ladies. I returned NOT because you designed the pants to be a certian length. I returned because the 3 pair I ordered (allthe same size) had 3 different lengths—and each length was at least 2 inches longer than the measurement description. In general the concern is not around whether fewer ladies should order so as to reduce returns and enable this style to continue. I think the concern is around having confidence that the measurements given are indeed the measurements of the garment. If the pants were made to the specification I think you would see many fewer returns. Do you expect that problem will continue with this new lot of Wk pants?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Randi….thank you for clarifying this for me. I certainly didn’t mean anyone who is interested in buying them shouldn’t. There are many new customers who have never owned a WK pant. The pants are all cut at the exact same length. I truly think the problem arose during the final pressing process just before they were folded and packed. Any knitter knows that a length can be changed with the blocking…it’s the same with a sweater knit such as the WK pants. It is even more dangerous due to the length. I can understand,if they are not very careful when pressing, a two inch difference can occur. The factory which makes all of the Wk sweaters, skirts, pants and now a dress is very aware of the problem that occurred with the pant……I would like to say I am 100% sure that there will not be a repeat of the problem, but it is really up to the pressers to make sure they are consistent……therefore I can’t promise that there won’t be some pants longer than they should be. I’m hoping that won’t happen, but I can’t honestly tell you the problem won’t happen…knowing that a variance can happen. Some think these pants can’t be shorten, but they can. Also, because of the weight of the knit…..even if they measure 31 inches laying flat on the table….they can hang longer on the body. I’m sorry if I can not give you a more definitive answer, but I want to be totally honest.

      1. Pamela

Makes complete sense – that’s why you should never hang a soft knit! Thanks for bringing these back into your collection Louis. Especially looking forward to the Hunter Green – a dark Green like your Spruce?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes Pamela….a very dark green, but not as blue as my Spruce green. It’s beautiful.

          1. Pamela

I recall seeing your classic Tneck waitlisted for Hunter Green a while back – it’s not showing now? Will there be WK’s in Hunter to achieve the column of color with the WK pant?

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pamela….yes the classic V-neck and the side button Tunic will also be avail in Hunter Green.

  54. Beryl

    Dear Louis,
Delighted to learn about the WK pants in petite. I’m ordering multiples. Will they be S.M L or numerical size?Hope I don’t miss out on them this time. I’m stalking. Stalking really pays. Today I was able to get perfectly pink in the 2 WK set. I have all the other colors and love them. Thanks again to you and Jac for being so available to the Linea Ladies.
    Beryl

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Beryl, since they are a sweater knit….they will be SML. Since they are a new item they won’t be avail. Until nearer to the Aug. show date. Of course since there are three one hour shows in Aug…I have know idea when they plan on selling them…or posting them.

      1. Louis, Would washing and re-blocking the Whisper Knit pants be a remedy for length issues?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I’ve never done it, but it would seem logical to me. I know some have shrunk them in the dryer….I think, again don’t know this as a fact, that they are going to be a little longer then the “flat ” measurement just because of he weight of the knit.

          1. I didn’t have the length problem with my WK pants or I would try re-blocking them and get back to everyone! It makes sense to me as well. I’m wondering if sending them out to be pressed back to the original length with professional equipment would work as well. (Of course there are those who wouldn’t want to go this extra step.)

          2. Writer with Flair (Patti)

For what it’s worth, I never have any garment hemmed that is washable and that I plan to wash and dry on an ongoing basis until I have washed and dried it once. You may even find that you don’t need to have it hemmed after that initial washing/drying. To insure that I don’t stretch out the garment, I usually put it in the dyer for just a few minutes after washing to shake out the wrinkles. I then lay it flat and let it air dry on top of some towels on the island in my kitchen. Also, do not be afraid to have knits professionally hemmed. It is an easy and inexpensive procedure. I have had plenty of knit things hemmed successfully over the years–even fine woolen knits. Let’s be realistic here–there is no way that any manufacturer can make pants that will fit every single person’s length perfectly. There just too many variables. It is no big deal to spend $6-$10 to get a pair of beautiful, quality pants hemmed. I would never let myself miss out on a superb pair of pants just because the initial length wasn’t perfect.

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Patti….that’s excellent advise on all points.

      2. Stephanie

Louis, if I order a petite instead of a regular size in the WK pants in order to get a shorter length, will I compromise the overall fit?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Stephanie….I don’t believe so. The rise may be a little shorter which should hurt at all, but I will check with the fit technician on Monday and get back to you.

          1. Anonymous

Thank you so much, Louis! Love your energy, your sincerity, your love for Jacque and of course, your perfect designs!

Didn’t snag the silvertone long palm frond, but love the gold, and hope springs eternal!

  55. Pepper

    Hi Louis,
I have gotten and love your denim jackets vests skirts and bootleg pants but as a size 2 I missed out on the white and navy ankle jeans which sold out before I got my email notice they were available. I immediately waitlisted both and sometime later received an email they were trying to obtain more stock. Can you tell me what that means? Thank you

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Pepper…..I have no idea what she means since the pant was not reordered as of yet……maybe she thinks there may be a return.

      1. Sherry

I think that is a “Standard” letter that they send out to anyone on waitlist regardless of the item. Most people don’t realize that most waitlist orders are filled by returns and not by reorders.

    2. Lisa Collins

I LOVE your line on QVC!!!!!! Everything of Linea that I own is so classy, sophisticated and simple. Take care!!!!

  56. Judy

Good morning Louis, I love all my whisper knits and own many but my favorite is the long sleeve jewel neck A228341. I am ashamed to admit how many I own (multiples in every color). Paired with my whisper knit pants (love) they are my favorite outfits. Are these being reordered and if so what colors can I look forward to? Also what colors will the new whisper knit pants come in? Thank you and hope you and Jac are enjoying this beautiful day.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

The WK pant in reg. and petite lengths, will be avail for my Aug. show. The colors will be Black, Navy and Hunter Green. I tried for more colors, but since the returns were high the first two times around I was lucky to get them to buy it again at all. Hopefully only the women who know and love it will be the only ones to buy it so it will have a reorder possibility….or else this will be it for WK pants. Out of all the pants I have done for QVC these past 14 years these are my favorite. There is nothing more classy, sophisticate and CHIC as a WK sweater, matching pant, cardigan and SCARF all in the same color…..very vintage Anne Klein and I might add….Halston.

      1. Kate

The quintessential “Linea” look in my opinion!

      2. Judy

Oh Lewis, I totally agree! Your whisper knit pants are my favorite too. They are not only comfortable but so classy looking with one of my many whisper knit sweaters. You can count me in for buying 2 pair in each color. I am so excited I can hardly wait. My birthday is in August and thanks to you, this is the best birthday present I could ask for. I already own 5 pair and I treasure them being my favorite pants of all time. Thank you, thank you!

      3. Pat

Will the fit be the same as the original pants?

      4. Sherry

I missed out last year…I’m ready and waiting for the WK Pants this year…will not miss out 2 years in a row…do you happen to know the lengths of the Reg. and Petites WK Pants??? Also, do you have any dates and times for your August and beyond shows?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry….I will have to ask about lengths…but my experience is this…the measurements are taken of all garments and sweaters FLAT on a table. When on the BODY some fabrics HANG differently and can actually measure a little longer. That has been my experience with WK pants….that is why it is best to fold and lay flat or fold in half and put them over a PADDED hanger.
My dates for August are: 8/1, 5:00pm [one hour show], Fashion Day….Aug 18th, 6:00pm [one hour show and possibly PMS [not confirmed yet]…..Aug 19th, 6:00am [one hour show]…..September 29th, 4:00am, and 2:00pm……………this is all subject to change.

          1. Sherry

OMG…three one hour shows in August…be still my heart and my credit card…LOL Better get things in order…it’s going to be a big kick off to Fall/Winter…yippee!!!

Thanks on finding out about the lengths…I know about how the body can change the length…when I gain a bit of weight some on my pants get shorter…Oopsie..LOL.

        2. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Sherry…..the reg WK pant is 31 inches on the flat and the petite is 28 inches on the flat……there are QVC requirements…..as I said due to the weight of the fabric and the persons build….the length on the body can vary…

      5. Writer with Flair (Patti)

Thank you SO MUCH for bringing back the Whisper Knit pants in such great colors. Will there be a matching WK skirt and a coordinating tweed jacket like the Fully Lined Button Front Tweed Jacket that came in the Raspberry, Sienna, and Violet combinations (A237642)?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

There is a boot length skirt but no tweed jackets….let’s not get ahead of ourselves….this is all for Aug.

  57. Kate

By any chance will there be a reorder of item A237398 (Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Scoop Neck Tunic with Pocket Detail)? Wore mine to death this spring and would love a chance to order a few back-ups! Also (A236144) the WK side button tunic? I know this is leaping over summer, but like most women I live for fall clothes!

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Kate…..good morning!….Yes and yes, both items have been reordered and are coming back……the ponte tunic is coming next Jan. and the side button tunic late this summer for early fall selling.

      1. Kate

All good news! Do you know yet what you’ll be showing on July 10th? Not expecting new for fall, but perhaps an exciting reorder?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

I WILL have three new things…..transition pieces….and two reorders….one being the crinkle georgette safari shirt with tank.

  58. Sherry

Will there be a new Suede jacket coming this Fall/Winter? Sorry, I can’t help myself…Fall/Winter is my favorite time of year…layer on the clothes and not have to worry about sweating…LOL. I adore the fabrics, textures, and colors of Fall/Winter clothing.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Yes there will be a suede jacket or Fall in Black, Olive and Stone

      1. Sherry

OOOhhh…Stone suede, and AAAhhhh…Olive suede…two of my favorite colors…got to love it!!! Thanks for the colors.

      2. Goldie76

Hurrah for olive again! Ever since I have introduced Linea into my life, I wear more of that shade. During my Greece visits, while waiting for an airplane to hop to an island, I noticed that many of the chi-chi Greek women on holiday were wearing olive pants and tops.

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Goldie….you will find all the women in the Mediterranean countries love olive, tans, wines, and all sorts of dark colors many American women don’t understand as being “summer” colors.

          1. Louis, when we moved to Dallas back in the early 50s, my mother discovered that NO ONE wore”summer” colors past 1 August. Stanley Marcus was in the vanguard showing his summer darks. By the time I was a teen, no one I knew would be caught dead wearing anything but summer darks after 1 August! And of course we all went back to school in dark cottons. My Virginia belle grandmother never understood this :-).

            1. Louis Dell'Olio

I agree with Stanley and your grandmother…..Aug 1 is a little early to put away your summer colors, but it’s also not too early to start wearing summer darks.

            2. Sherry

If I like a color, it doesn’t matter to me what time of year it is…it just doesn’t make since to me…we wear white shirts all year round, but we’re not supposed to wear white pants all year??? We wear Black all year, but people have trouble with wearing Olive or Burgundy in the Spring/Summer??? I realize light colors are supposed to reflect the heat of the sun…but this is an air conditioned world we live in now…so why do the color rules still exist?

            3. Louis Dell'Olio

Sherry…..we think alike…..in the summer “we” call dark colors Indian Summer colors just to make it more appealing psychologically……

  59. Pat

    Hi lLouis,
I was so happy to read your will be brining in your leggings. They are so much nicer than anything sold in the stores. Will your new leggings be anything like item #A252344. .? Will the twig or navy be brought back? I hope so, I was only able to get these in black all the mediums sold out.

    Thank you

  60. Nancy

Hi Louis, WooHoo! Just wanted to let you know that the beautiful gold necklace with pearls and clear pink large beads (item #J287999) just arrived today after being wait listed for what seemed like forever! It is absolutely beautiful, elegant and very ladylike!! I love it!!! I really thought it would cancel out being on the wait list that long, but I am certainly one happy camper (although I wouldn’t wear it camping). I will be sure to leave a review on it tonight. Great job, as usual. 🙂

Linea by Louis Dell’Olio Open Front Cardigan with Pocket Detail

This jacket is remarkable! Cut, Design,FABRIC. Pockets is totally perfect. Took carry on a work/personal trip for 6 days. This cardigan in black & white matching white skirt, matching tunic a couple WK sleeveless shells, skinny jeans and a vintage jean jacket. Added fish necklace and a couple long scarves. That was it. Did everything receptions, numerous client meetings, hiking, museums and hanging out with friends. Please bring back this exact cardigan in some bright colors. It’s just too good!

Will you have any pleated skirts similar to the Sunburst Pleat Skirt (A228339) in the fall? I was able to get the Tarragon one but missed out on the black version. I would love black, navy, or just about any other color.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

I did sketch one but they took a pass.I’ll try gain for next fall.

      1. Writer with Flair (Patti)

        Thanks for trying.

      2. Tylerpoo

I too have the tarragon skirt and missed out on the black, agree with Patti, navy, black, and aubergine would be nice for next Fall.

        1. Nancy (AKA TheOwl)

The sunburst pleated skirts (blk & tarragon) are a “go to” skirt for me from Sept to May – though of course they can be worn in the summer months too. [But in summer I prefer the crushed gauze ;)] So slimming – go with almost everything and hold the pleats as if by magic.

  63. Judy

I am already excited about all the new for fall. Your pants are always in high demand and as many have complained about the small sizes are always the first to go. Is there a way you could speak to the buyers about keeping a closer eye on what size sells out faster. When you show a pair of new pants size 8, 10, small and medium are usually a sell out in a matter of minutes. There is rarely enough to go around. I know this is up to the buyers but this really need to be pointed out to the buyers. Thank you for all you do for us.

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

Dear Judy…..I understand your frustration. The buyers buy sizes on a curve…..meaning the smallest and the largest are bought less than the middle sizes where the demand is the highest. Unfortunately, due to budge constraints, there isn’t enough bought to satisfy everyone. It really isn’t even up to the buyers. They are given a budget per vendor and do the best they can.

  64. Sherry

Will there be any Ruby Red coming back this Fall/Winter?

    1. Louis Dell'Olio

No…there will be a new “red” introduced. It’s called “BRICK RED”….i used to call this color Turkey Red, but they didn’t understand the name.

      1. Sherry

Huummm…Brick Red…like the rustic reds…Also, I have the Pebble Crepe 3/4 sleeve tunic on waitlist in Olive and the new Smoke…was wondering what bottoms would be coming up to go with them…any PC bottoms coming for Fall?

        1. Louis Dell'Olio

The Brick red is very close to Chili Pepper. There are no PC pieces for fall. There will be olive bottoms

          1. Sherry

            Great, thanks!

  65. gk27

Good morning Louis. I had read in an earlier post that you would have a jacket that is similar to the quilted double zip front vest from last Fall. I have the cadet blue and just love it. I missed out on the walnut. It’s such a rich, beautiful color. Will the new jacket be available in walnut?

      1. gk27

        Lovely colors. Can’t wait!
