It may be late for more comments on the colors for a reorder of this seasons swing jacket but in addition to the olive, I’d love a tobacco or classic luggage tan color (darker than camel). Also like the suggestion of a light pink and perhaps oatmeal?
Many thanks Louis for the latest terrific designs and for keeping us so well entertained! I had planned to exercise more restraint this season, but just couldn’t resist especially the new jackets, wk skirt(s), wk flared top(s) and the fabulous tights. Just an idea – but do you think a new jacket (as someone else mentioned too) in the winter white would be a possibility for next year? One of my favorite styles is the cotton swing jacket single breasted with stand collar from 2 or so years ago. Maybe a slightly longer version of that in winter white would get attention from the buyers? Of course I love the jewelry too – wearing silver fish today. You’re the best Louis.
Hi Louis,
I absolutely LOVE the whisper knit sweater #A210360. I ordered it last year in black but it was the wrong size … kept it anyway. I have watched this sweater for a year in the hope that it would return in additional colors. I just received 2 in the correct size 2X in the black and dark teal. I would purchase it in every color in the crayon box if you offered it. Please tell me that you are planning on offering it again. I know you may have limitations with QVC … so my next question is this: Can I purchase other items from you line at some other location. Some how I saw your clothing on the internet but did not have a clue how to purchase them. I love everything I saw … yet I do not see them offered on QVC. HELP!!! Best Wishes, Carol …65 years young in Virginia
Carol….tha5t sweater will be back in Jan. in Black, Berry Red and the new Ivory. There is no other place to buy my clothes other than ebay.
Several of the Linea ladies (myself included) want a reorder of the L/S Swing Sweater (A259620). I got the Mulberry, and hoped to get more in my size small; however, everything is sold out now. Since it was such a good seller, I hope this sweater will be reordered (new colors added). We think this would be a good TSV or OTO for you.
Lyn…I agree 100%. I think you all should let your congress men know….LOL.they have as much influence as I do.
THAT would be one sure way of never seeing it again.
Yeah, I threw a thread out there on Community Forum, so let’s hope we can get this for Fall 2015. Louis this swing style WK iris THE silhouette…it’s just so pretty. I grab these nearly everyday now. I hope we can get Q’s attention. More fit and flare…OMG so pretty! Love them.
Typo…not iris……..should say. Is the silhouette ..sorry
Is it too late to do a short sleeve version of the WK “Swing” sweater for next Spring/Summer???
Way too late…..Spring is finished and into production. The Chinese take a month off for Chinese New Year and all the factories are closed. It is the one time in the year where the people can leave their work and visit their families. For many that means traveling a long distance, so visiting during the year is impossible. This being the case….all spring production for Jan, Feb and March must be completed and shipped before CNY.
WOW, I had no idea…well it was a thought anyway, LOL….thanks.
Just received your new wk skirt and cowl neck sweater – can’t wait to wear them! Already own the beaded necklace – what is the mm of the new pearl studs! Thanks Debby
Do you mean the metal studs?
The new studs that match the bead necklace in gunmetal etc -Thanks!
Will there be a reorder of the 36in love knot necklace -would love one!
To be sure of the size click on the style number on QVC and it will give you the size. I believe they are one millimeter up from the pearl stud…12mm? I don’t know about the Love Knot necklace….I think yes, but I honestly don’t remember….I’ll check.
I have the 18″ silver love knot necklace, and really want a 36″ also. I hope QVC decides to reorder this.
The 36inch necklace is not being reordered.
Hi, Louis;
I recently shared information on the Linea Lovers site about my order for your Stretch Woven Regular Straight Leg Pants (A259859) in Stone. It was suggested that I let you know about it, also. The pant leg had a defect sticker (the white sticker with the red arrow) pointing to an area that clearly had a raised mark in the weave. I called Customer Service and the person expressed surprise, but had no explanation. She told me to return as “defective” and cancelled the return shipping charge. I don’t know if this is important, but am letting you know. These pants have a wonderful fit and fabric. I have a similar pair in Olive that I ordered several years ago and they still look like new.
This doesn’t surprise me…someone didn’t do their job.
ROLF!
I just purchased the stone pencil skirt and stone tights. Can’t find the stone swing top any longer in a medium. Other than black, what would you recommend?
Dear Pam….as long as you have the matching skirt and tights…you can almost do any color you want on top, basics like navy and all shades of gray look great with the stone. For color you can do clay as the WK TN and Shetland boyfriend cardigan [all of the Shetland colors will look good because they all have stone looking hairs in them], sienna, sage, olive ,walnut, dark wine as the WK shirt collar sweater…..really many colors will work. The lace print that has the center motif that came in hunter green/stone, brick red/stone, and black/stone. Plus the new Mosaic print top in any of the three colors. The mulberry looks great. Stone is a very neutral color….you just have to try, and remember accessories will help pull it together. Also, in Jan I will have the ENR WK short sleeve sweater with a jewel neckline and a new longer sweater in stone….with a slice of Caneel Blue, an Aqua…..and yes pastels look wonderful with stone
I’m stalking a size medium in any color…after a very long processing time, mine were backordered (QVC seems to do this a lot to me), I have little hope to see the Olive or Stone…I keep checking every few hours to see if one has popped back in.
Hi Louis,
Will you be showing another black necklace before the end of the year? Thank you.
Dear Barbara…..Yes….it is a major statement piece and it will also be avail in clear. I have showed the black one on the models already. I call it my “Grape Cluster” necklace….QVC calls it something else. It will be avail in Dec……It’s definitely not for everyone, but I think it’s fabulous. Jac wore the original from my collection to a benefit dinner and one of the QVC PTB loved it and asked if I could do it for QVC. I will sneak peek it again on the FEW show on the 17th,.
I thought I saw that one on the model–so glad it will be available. I have been planning my outfit for a Christmas party with that in mind. Hopefully it is early December! I adore those statement pieces99Uy.
Whoops on typing the Captcha Code!!
Louis, I don’t understand why your Opaque Tights are no longer available in Navy. I have the Black & Walnut, Size B,(love them), but now that I have purchased your WK pants, cardigan, and tank in navy, I need the tights to match! Seems like these should be available all season. Will they be coming back?
Dear Carol…..I have been told there is no budget to bring them back this year. However, may I suggest the navy pinstripe or back lace in the navy. I know in the picture the pinstripe looks very obvious and it looks like a lot of skin will show thought, but that is not the case…..the stripe is very subtle and is a good alternative to the solid…The back lace is completely opaque in the front, and only a narrow stripe of lace goes up the back…the yarns and navy color for both the pinstripe and the back lace are the same as the opaque tights.Sorry I can’t get you your first choice.
Louis,
Wanted to let you know right away…I purchased something from Linea today and when I received the Q’s purchase email for the first time the side bars were all Linea items and when I clicked on one it took me back to a Q screen with nothing but Linea….that’s how this should be done!
well done!
I wish I could say that I was involved with this but I can’t.I don’t know if it was intended or an accident however, I did forward your message on so they know what you as a customer wants.
Not sure with their complex computer programming they could be that specific to one customer…we’!l see…it’s nice nonetheless!
Hi Louis,
Would you be able to tell me a little about the quilted jacket available in January? Color’s, style and is it similar to the quilted jacket from a couple years ago?
Thank you, Nanc
Navy and Aubergine….snap front….shirt collar….shaped….different look than the other…this can be dressier or casual….that’s all I’m saying
Sounds just like what I am looking for! Bought a couple of cotton striped long sleeved t-shirts – bronze and navy stripes and teal and navy stripes
the rest of that sentence was I need the navy quilted jacket to wear over them.
Shirt collar and navy – right up my alley!
Thank you Louis,
I’m looking forward to January.
I’m looking forward to Jan as well…more Stone pieces, the quilted jacket…more jewelry…LOL. We never get enough!!! Seems as though I have been waiting forever for the quilted Jacket to return…love that it is a snap front…I’m in for the Aubergine…I have the Aubergine V-neck sweater in two sizes to fit the way I want to wear it at any given time. Missed out on the Aubergine tights…don’t know how that happened…snooze you lose I guess.
So here’s what I “get” for always trusting your advice Louis. After thinking about your advice about how – though I am fair and wear only some taupes and dark walnuts successfully from the brown “family” – I decided to purchase the Chenille jacket now on deep discount in the taupe – something I passed on “way back when” in favor of something else Linea. I’m confident that shade of brown will work for me. Well, then I thought, maybe I should follow Louis’ thinking and get the bronze faceted beads (as the clear and the jet are already on their way to me). So while comparing the bronze beads to the taupe chenille jacket and going over other brown tones in my wardrobe as well as other coordinating colors, I decided to put the bronze faceted bead necklace in my cart and while preparing to do so, POOF and VOILA an available necklace in the faceted beads in “GREY” popped up on that item page. Wow, I mistakenly thought! The grey must be back in stock….I added both immediately to my cart and went back again to the faceted bead item page – and voila and poof NO “grey” showed up there now. I snagged the only “grey” that floated in and out of the mysterious marketplace ionosphere – all while following your advice to “try” the bronze. See? This is always what happens to me when I “trust” your advice 🙂 Serendipity! All now on their way to my home.
Serendipity INDEED! Nancy you are going to go mad for these colors ….I promise!
First wore the Bronze Beads with A218570 Olive Jacket with the Bronze metallic piping – so many compliments came my way! This unique color lends itself to many, many styling options – totally agree with you Louis, fabulous with Black. Great score on the Grey, Nancy – lucky U!
Pamela….do you have the 2 strand in the chocolate?….that should look great too.
The Gunmetal called my name – maybe Santa will bring me the Gold & the Chocolate? It’s a beauty & extra special to own.
Recently, a little birdie told me there’s a Stone Suede Jacket due for my upcoming birthday – joy to my world! Anxious for the other coordinating items you will be bringing us January. Stone is my new favorite neutral! You mentioned a short sleeve WK, what else in Stone, please do tell?
PamelaPamelaPamela….inquisitive minds have to know….another WK sweater besides the SS crew neck and a striated jersey draped top and long skirt [not maxi]…looks great with the stone suede…..and that’s all I’m saying….it’s a long way off until the end of Jan.
Dear Louis: Please forgive me, but your reply is music to my ears. I was hoping for more sweater options. Many thanks, u always cover the bases & never disappoint…
I promised my sister I would Skype & do a cartwheel while wearing the Stone jacket she is sending. fingers X’d I don’t break my neck before I get the chance to wear . . .LoL!
Do you have any idea when the large 2 sided cross is being delivered??? One of the colors is the Gunmetal with Brown/Black stones in either side.
I added more Birthday presents today…ordered the Swing Jacket in Black/Charcoal and also the Triple-strand pearl necklace in Gray and the matching earrings. After this I think I better start calling them Christmas presents…LOL…I have gone a bit crazy this month with my shopping…I will be the best dressed shopper in Walmart and Hobby Lobby…LOL. The hubby and I have noticed that when we are dressed up a bit that even more people talk to us as we are going about our shopping. Funny thing, isn’t it?
I believe another “e-mail” is going out on the 19th so it should be avail then…..I understand why sales people would talk to two well dressed good looking people…..They think you have money to spend!! LOL….If it’s other shoppers….that’s a nice thing.
Enter the Item # – they will come up.
Louis,
Q is very strange sometimes – how I found them was under New Arrivals – now you have to enter the Item # for them to come up!
Now available on Q – New Ball/Bead Earrings J317109.
and I just finished posting my sneak peek…..how’s that for timing. Can you cut and paste my photo over…..it’s probably better than theirs…..LOL
Posted the entire Sneal Peek over on the Linea Forum!
That’s Sneak Peek!
I just looked at the QVC Linea jewelry site but didn’t see the new post for the ball stud earring??
Hubby encouraged me to purchase the recent Metallic Print Dress. We both love it. It looks more expensive than the QVC price. When it was presented, you showed it with the green pearls. Of course, they are sold out. Will they come back? Or any suggestion of Linea jewelry to accessorize besides black? Thanks
I’ll have to check
Dear Carol….I put the dress on my form and tried different necklaces. I loved the Burgundy pearls [they work well with the fuchsia in the print], and the dark gray pearls [the 72 inch single strand]. The Gunmetal double strand graduated beads looked wonderful too. Now the Gunmetal bead stud is avail to complete the look.Let me know what you think.
Thanks. I think I will go for the burgundy pearls, maybe mix with the grey pearls also. You are the best to concern yourself with this question.
What about the Swing Jacket/Coat in Olive??? We all love your Olive…well, most of us, anyway…LOL.
Just received the Kate shirt, WK TN, and the Grandpa cardigan in CLAY…WOW…love the color and everything about the “Grandpa” cardigan.
Also, received the Poncho in Olive Branch…great color…and I totally get it…love the Poncho worn loose, but, my favorite is wrapped around and belted like Jac had on…the Poncho completely wraps around me and will be fabulous belted when the wind is blowing here in SW KS…LOL…that’s all the time.
My only undecided is the length of the Petite Slim Pants…they fit great…I’m just used to wearing pants that are too long…LOL…so I think it’s just a matter of getting used to them being off my shoe…where they are supposed to be.
Nice haul I might add…loving this Fall/Winter…Oh, almost forgot…received the Suede/knit Jacket in Olive…OMG fabulous suede…only I sized up at the last minute by the reviews that were coming in…at least there are still a few left in stock so that I can exchange it….should never second guess “My Designer”….LOL.
Now then…Whew…good thing there is a break in the clothes so that I can pick up a few pieces of jewelry to go with my FABULOUS new wardrobe…THANK YOU!!!
Dear Sherry…..you are a long time Linea customer and i think you pretty much know your size….unless the style is unusual….but for a basic pant or a basic jacket like the sued, you are best to stay with you size. I or Jac will always let you know if something IO [our]HO is running small or large. Sometimes it’s a matter if taste…like the poncho where someone could go down or up a size….it really wouldn’t make a big difference…..So happy to hear you are loving the Clay…..Speaking of jewelry….did you get the new root beer necklace or the double strand chocolate necklace?….They are both it’s fabulous with that color.
P.S. Love the idea of OLIVE….
I know…why someone else hadn’t brought up the Olive??? It would be fabulous with the Burnished Bronze/Gold buttons or the Gunmetal buttons…
I have the Fluted Bead and Gunmetal necklace in Root Beer…and I am waiting on the other long Root Beer??? necklace that is still to come…or am I day dreaming on that one??? I also have a two-toned leather belt almost like the one you showed with the Clay…I think Kate was wearing it…looks fantastic…even on this shrunken 5’4″ size Med frame. So excited about the Clay, all the pieces are fantastic in that color…LOVE!!!
The Chocolate double strand necklace is on my list, along with the Gunmetal one…First, I have to get the triple strand Pearl necklace in Gray and the earrings…First things first…LOL. This is my Birthday month and I have kicked it off in fine style…I’m a Turkey baby this year…LOL.
The root beer necklace with Gunmetal rings is the J317652. Of course it looks like nothing on the QVC site but it’s beautiful and more open then last years due to the rings. This is the only root beer bead necklace that is avail or coming, and the one I showed on the models…….Sounds like you’re going to have a wonderful Birthday!I celebrate mine for the whole month too!!
I love the idea of olive too! Brilliant!
Louis, I just received the WK v neck in aubergine. LOVE IT! Going back to order all the other colors and the matching scarves.
Eagerly awaiting your new jewelry- will it be presented on the Nov 17th show or just appear online? Thanks.
OLO….but I will have some on the models.
Dear Louis,
Can you refresh my memory as to what jewelry will be available later this month? I am making a Christmas list of gifts for myself and others.
Thanks,
Dariann
Dear Dariann….I hope you saw my posts of the jewelry. There is only one other piece that is coming for Dec. Other than that the list is complete.
Louis, I would love to see the swing coat in a pretty pink. Pink, looks good with greys, winter whites, blacks, etc. Since they won’t make it in Winter White, how about designing a new jacket for next year in Winter White? Just a thought!
Well Miss no neck here never wears turtle necks but winter is coming so I ordered the Posh Knit turtle. What a surprise I love it. It’s loose enough so it doesn’t give me a fourth chin. Now I’m ready to try the WK turtles everyone raves about. You are really the best.
Beryl
Dear Beryl…..I’m sure if you liked the PK TN you will like the WK too, but watch out if you like it….you have a lot of catching up to do…..LOL.
I have enough WK sweaters to last me a lifetime. Love them. Just ordered WK TN.
For coat colors I would like to see a medium gray, taupe, mocha or an oatmeal shade and maybe violet. I also think that dark teal you did in the whisper knit is a lovely color.
Colors for the double-breasted jacket: Royal purple, light/medium gray, or I like the taxicab yellow or magenta idea.
Louis can you give the Q a little nudge about posting the new sparkly shrimp earrings? I want them badly to wear with your grey pearl pin.
And, by the way, LOVE the black pea coat. I think it may be one of your “greatest hits”!
Dear Enjay…..the earring and reversible cross will be posted on Nov. 19th. They are sending out an e-mail to e-mail subscribers on that date, but that’s when it will be avail to all. So glad you love the Pea jacket. I think it’s one of my best. I only wish it had sold better so I could offer it in new colors…..what can you do. I think it’s going to be the end of the line for the Pea.
I think the pea jacket is one of your best also. I seldom buy multiples(except WK and Kate shirts) but after I got the Persian blue coat I went back and ordered the raspberry (it is at the tailor having the sleeves let down). Love the fit of this coat.
I have the Persian Blue and the Raspberry in the pea jacket too.
I love the pea coat too and purchased a second color. I had to send my first one back because the buttons were off-kilter, but the subsequent two are perfect. I marvel each time I wear them on how a coat can appear to be fitted yet so comfortable. Incredible design – that’s what I think! 😉
Louis, I don’t know why the Pea Jacket didn’t sell better. A lot of the Linea ladies got the first one, and ordered another later. I’m one of them. I ordered the Persian Blue Pea Jacket first, and I placed a second order for the Raspberry Pea Jacket (it’s shipped, but I haven’t received it yet).
My feeling is that your Pea Jacket didn’t show well on the host when it was first presented, as she wore a long tunic underneath. Neither the Pea Jacket nor the Swing Coat look good with a long tunic underneath. Is there anything you can do to make sure that the host looks good in an item of yours that she is wearing?
I also bought the Navy Swing Coat and the Stone/Black Reversible Fur Coat. They are both hanging in my closet. I’ve worn the Navy Swing Coat several times already, and I just received the Stone/Black Reversible Fur Coat yesterday.
Dear Lyn….it’s a mystery to me too….I thought the Pea Jacket was going to be a sure fire reorder!….NOT…..You can never second guess what’s going to be good or not….As for the host I can’t agree with you more! However, “we” have absolutely nothing to say about what the hosts wear, or believe me they would never appear the way some of them do….on my show and others. I only demanded once that one of the hosts who was supposed to wear a maxi giant floral print dress [not mine], was told to wear it for my show, because it was a big buy for her next show, but I insisted she change. There was no way I was going to look at her in this dress that I thought was horrible and distracting for my whole hour show..I got into a little trouble for this..P.S She quickly changed for her next show and the dress SOLD OUT! As I said ….you never know….LOL
This just doesn’t make any sense to me at all, Louis. It’s your show, and it should be up to you to decide how your clothes are presented. Including on the host. The host modeling the pea jacket looked as bad as any host I have ever seen! Why would QVC want what they sell to look horrendous? ‘Tis a puzzlement…..
Hi, Louis. I receive the email notifications of your upcoming shows. By the way, thank you for bringing back the woven slim leg pants. The ones that I own from previous years have worn like armor and wash like a dream! I wear them for three of the four seasons in the south and a couple of times a week, so they are definitely a wardrobe staple for me. I was beginning to fear that I would wear them out, and now I have a new supply! I also love the swing WK sweaters and the swing jackets with double row buttons. They look so chic with the boot length WK skirt and boots and also with your leggings and WK pants. With the drape neck WK sweaters and wraps, I’m set for the winter! I have all three colors of the boucle jacket from last year and am crazy about them. For new colors, I would love to have a purple one with a coordinating WK sweater. Just another thought, I love light layers and have enjoyed layering your sweaters over the Kate shirts, but I have had really enjoyed layering the light weight paisley tops over the WK Tnecks on mild days with your fabulous jewelry. If you have the opportunity to design similar tops, that would great! Thank you for all the beautiful fall designs!
Dear Bobbie…I happy to read you’re enjoying your clothes. Question….which paisley tops are you referring to? a# please.
I was referring to the border print caftan tops. I wear the chili pepper and olive tops (they came with tanks) with my WK TN in the fall with WK pants and skirts and your jewelry which looks very sophisticated. There are also two other caftan border print tops which are a little thicker, one which has blues and the other has greens and magentas and purples in the print. Again, I wear these with WK TNs and jeans, WK pants, WK skirts. I receive so many compliments when I wear them this way, possibly because they soften the TK and just look very feminine. Of course I wear them without sweaters on warmer days, with tanks and the matching skirts or slim ankle pants. I love the versatility and comfort of them. I know how fashions change, so they may not be at the forefront, but I can’t imagine them every going out of style. I just thought I would share this with you. All of your wonderful sneakpeaks give us these wonderful styling options that I would not ordinarily imagine.
Oh yes Bobby…..I remember them well. They were inspired by Etro paisley prints. I especially loved the one with purples, fuchsia and Olive. I have to say these tops did not sell particularly well, and that’s why I never did more of them. Many complained they looked big! which was a complaint I never understood, because they were CAFTAN TOPS! Other designers do them and don’t get complaints. I personally thought mine were beautiful, but there you go….we are in the minority!I don’t have any plans to repeat them in any way….sorry
They don’t look big! They are gorgeous and flow, but I guess they were misunderstood by some. Anyway, I take consolation in the fact that I have all four and will wear them confidently! Thank you for your response.
Regarding colors for the Boucle Swing Jacket, the Winter White sounds great. I would also like to see a camel and/or a light grey.
No, I didn’t know about them
Kathy/wis
What fabulous clothes this season, but I think that every season. Just got the swing sweater. I was sure it would work for me, but it does. I am waitlisted for the olive. Hope it comes in. I am not sure if you have been asked this, but would it be possible to make this style in a dress next year?
The 72″ Faceted Bead Necklace is up for order…YIPPEE!!!
I get notifications of all upcoming shows but if there is a Linea email letter, I am unaware of it. I scrolled through the QVC offerings and couldn’t find a specific Linea email.
Hi Louis,
To answer your question. I get emails from QVC about your upcoming shows. Is this what you are referring to?
If not, tell us what to do
Also, The assymetrical hem tunic (like A254339) with sleeves. When is it coming? Will they be long sleeves or 3/4?
Any colors?
Also, love the shetland v neck sweaters – own mauve & grey.
Hope you didn’t miss my question
Thank You
I guess I did…..the new top and matching skirt will be coming in Jan. The sleeves are 3/4 and the colors are black, navy and magenta….all very rich and deep. The fabric is new….instead of my normal rayon/span jersey….it’s in a moss crepe jersey….very luxe looking and feeling…..the crepe surface is very very subtle and almost smooth. I used to buy fabrics like this from Italy and was very happy to find this one…..Donna makes bodysuits in this kind of fabric.
Omg, this sounds fabulous!
Thanks – sounds wonderful.
I hope it has a scoop neck – I do better with an open necks
Thanks again- can’t wait
Louis,
When you showed the mulberry poncho, you refer to the aubergine TN. I can’t seem to find it. Is it an old one? Your blog refers to A72778. I am lost. I’d order the skirt if I could find that TN. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
I’ll reply with the correct item number since I know it by heart. It is A72448.
Yes that’s the number…..it is an old color….didn’t realize they were sold out
Hi Louis
Looking forward to the few tomorrow
Love love my red swing jacket perfect in Florida right now with this cold front.
Suggestions from me would be winter white
Warm golden yellow and navy
sooo no tuxedo attire ever in the future
from your answer the other day, is that right?
Any sneek word on colors for the spring
THANKS FOR BEING THERE FOR THE 1X WOMEN
Lcjazz87@gmail.com
Oops
Contemplating on the swing jacket in navy and slipped and suggested that as one of the color suggestions but meant a deep purple or brown
Love my red one
Never knew about the emails
Checking it out though
Hi Loius
I’m first writing to say THANKYOU! for the “woven slim leg pant” . I played it safe and
got the black first. I went back for more colors and only the stone was available in my size,
so I snagged it immediately. Will wait to see if the olive comes back in.
I absolutely love the material and especially the way they fit!! Great job!!
Keep this fit coming. I will say though, I have troubles wearing them with my short boots,
because after sitting then standing, they get caught in the tops and I look like Andy Griffin.
No problem though-I just wear the flats or pumps.Longer than ankle length on me.
I also just received the grey skirt with the wide waist band and button front. LOVE!
Mine looks to be more on the darker side of grey. Will it go with any of the animal instincts tights?
Have a good week
Dear Shari….yes, both the black and grey Animal instincts work the grey is more tonal and looks great with black shoes.
That sounds wonderfully chic. I’ll order the grey
right now. Thanks a bunch Louis!!
Do you know what you are showing on FEW Monday???
Yes….the draped front cardigan, the swing coat and the V-neck WKsweater which has never had air time that I can remember.i’m supposed to be 4,5,and 6 in the show or something like that…..early on.
Out of curiosity, when you are due to present, does QVC send a car for you? Helicopter from the City? Can’t imagine they expect you to drive yourself to PA, but maybe.
LOL…….no we incur our own expenses. If I wanted a driver, as some of the city folk do, we have to pay for it……but I’d rather drive myself so we can go wherever we like, any time we want, especially if we have to be here two days or more.
I have tried to contact you three times in refernce to the cross lever back earrings in silver, please let me know if you are ever getting them back in…
Dear cynthia…..I don’t know why it was so difficult to post?….the cross earring has not been reordered…..I tried to get more ordered, but no deal.,
Is QVC going to reorder the swing whisper knit sweater. I missed the presentation on PM Style and now there is only very large sizes left. Clearly it sold out when presented.
Not this year.
QVC clearly oversold this sweater. I got an email from them yesterday saying they could not fill my order for it, which I made on the day it was shown, and that they are trying to get more stock. Since you apparently haven’t heard anything about a reorder, I guess this is just a ploy on the Q’s part to mollify disgruntled customers. Rats.
You are absolutely right. Since they posted it early before PM Atyle, by the time I was on air many had already sold. It is way oversold and there are no reorders planned. We are already into Spring production.
Louis:
Need your expert advise on pairing the Stone WK skirt & swing sweater for a dressy holiday look. Do you like a silver metallic with the Stone Animal tights? Do have a great pair of Python pumps that I love, but want something that says “let’s get this party started”!
TIA – it’s all about shoe shopping for me today. . .enjoy the weekend.
Pamela….it all sound good to me! If the python and the animal instincts work….great…you could also try the silver lurex with jet jewelry…..sheer smoke with silver could work great too….let the fun begin.
Dear Louis:
Thanks for your reply. I ordered the Smoke sheers – could be that missing link to tie it all together with whatever shoes I decide to wear. Sometimes self edit is good, but I do question myself at times. Try to say – Self?, UR the only one who can rattle your own cage – LoL!
UR a true gem! Sincerely,P
Hi, Louis, Loved your halloween costume. Those glasses were quite nice! I don’t think anyone else has asked this question: When will the matching pearl earrings that go with the colored pearl necklaces be coming in? Will there be different styles? Will you have all the same colors as the necklaces or only some of the colors? Thanks as usual. We all appreciate your lovely work.
I hope this isn’t a double post. ERROR flashed again!
The silver lurex tights are amazing. I have bright silver and black silver aerosole flats and tried them on with them. They might be my favorite: have a “does she or doesn’t she?” look. You have to look twice to make sure your eyes aren’t deceiving you.
I have sparkly gold flats also. I don’t think I’ll wear black tights with gold shoes (I really try to match the shoe and tight) but who knows. I think I’ll live dangerously.
Wish I’d gotten a second pair of leggings. I don’t do leggings with tunics but I like being footless to show off fun flats.
I prefer wearing skirts and dresses and have been collecting unusual tights for years. Even if they’re not that noticeable they make me feel good.
Dear Andrea…the good news is they are reordering the leggings for Dec., but basically they are filling reorders and a few extra. Love the lurex tights with flats.
The sheer smoke tights are my favorites! They are really, really good)
Dear Enjay ….the smoke really fill a gap…where nude isn’t enough and black, shear are to dark…smoke is a good neutral.
Hi Louis,
I absolutely love your tights. I’ve stocked my lingerie drawer with them! I finally caved this morning and bought the animal instincts in black and dark grey, and snagged one of the remaining pairs of opaque black in size B. I have multiples in all the styles, in black, grey, walnut, navy and sheer (those are amazing – and I don’t usually sheer nude tights!). Actually, I now own all the styles except the lurex.
Please tell me I’ll be able to keep buying these great tights in the future!
Dear Enjay …..so….what’s up with the lurex?…LOL….I’m so glad you got the animal instincts…..they may be my favorites …..maybe!, honestly I love them all. It really is fun styling with them. A simple walnut WK sweater and the new A line skirt with the walnut herringbone tights makes all the difference from something basic to something fabulous….All kidding aside the lurex are fabulous, because they are subtle and can be worn day or night.
Louis, I own that walnut combination – new skirt, v-neck sweater and herringbone tights. Just wore it last week. Great outfit – accessorized with vintage brass necklaces. And you’ve twisted my arm – I’m getting the lurex in black/silver! But only because I have killer grey leopard stilettos that are crying for great tights!
Ooh… that sounds wonderful….grey leopard stilettos with the silver lurex tights will be outrageous! Good for you!!!!
Well … I’m pairing them with a black pencil skirt that has a front leather panel, short sleeve black angora sweater … and your new grey pearl pin. Which I love. Just enough sparkle.
Especially since the floral tights look at least three times the price. I live in a trendy area in Cambridge, MA. Years ago there was a store on my block that carried hose that looked similar. I have no idea what they cost but the owner only special ordered them for select customers.
My mother rolled damp items to iron in the refrigerator also. I think Jayne Brown mentioned doing this also. I don’t use my sleeve board either.
I went to order another WK Swing Sweater only to find it SOLD OUT with no wait list apart from two colors in 1X and all 5-star reviews. WOW! Hoping this means more colors next year!
So far so good, but it’s too early to tell. I’ve seen many things get 5 star ratings to only find out they had high returns…..Fingers crossed.
Good morning Louis…do the Pewter Posh Knit sweaters work with the Black pinstripe Jacket/Pants? QVC has all the Posh Knits on easy pay…
Absolutely….the stripe is so subtle you could put any gray with the pin stripe.
Great, thanks so much!!!
Louis! This was a tour de force year for you… Your sweaters /all types are magnificent . I am a sweater girl and I am a happy camper! Also your Shetlands are too die for and am so happy I get to get my sophisticated Preppy on! My v neck Shetlands with my Kate shirts are like coming home…one of my fav looks ever…your leggings ….My transition from big city career to suburbia grandma has been sketchy and without your fab sportswear …wld have been harder transition… Winter, summer, spring or fall…SF, Boston, LA or London-Paris…I am well dressed in such a strong fundamental way! I mix and match based on my personal taste with your beautifully honed pieces! was in Henri Bendel with your gray hoodie /wmatching pants and your black and white striped short sleeve tee, black suede Stuart Weitzman flats, and GILLI black HOBO. While in the designer shoe department, a woman, after saying she liked my outfit…whispered to her friend…I told you the best dressed women shop here! I smiled …thinking of you!
Great story…..when you say gray hoodie are you referring to the blazer or the swing style ponte?
The swing Ponte which I adore..waited too long to get the reddish one! now gone! Please use double zippers whenever you can…such a godsend in longer garments!
Thx!
Dear Louis,
Will you please share with us your ironing technique for the Kate shirt, wing collared shirt, poet shirt, etc.? I love these shirts and don’t mind ironing, but I don’t seem to do a very good job. I think you said at one time that you learned to iron in design school. Do you hang to dry or dry in the dryer? Do you iron when damp or use spray starch? Do you have them done at a laundry? Any insite would help as I seem to be starting a small collection of them. They are all so beautiful.
Many thanks!
No big secrets. I use a Rowenta Iron….lots of steam and for difficult areas some spray water. I also have a sleeve board, but I don’t usually use it. I’m sure the ladies can give you better tips. It usually is better to iron a slightly damp shirt than a dry one. My mother used to keep shirts, slightly damp in a plastic bag in the frig just before she ironed them so they didn’t dry, but that seems a little extreme these days. Of course she used to iron my brothers and my cotton socks and underwear!….No wonder there was a saying “A Mother’s work is never done”.
Louis, I laughed when I read about the shirts in the plastic bag in the fridge. That’s how my mother did it and that’s how I still do it! Anything cotton or linen is “sprinkled” with water to dampen them [we actually used to have a gadget that fit on the top of a bottle that enabled one to “sprinkle” the clothes with water], then they are rolled, put into a plastic bag, and then into the fridge. I always get great results that way. Sometimes the old ways are still good ways!
I have to ditto your technique as my mother used the same one and taught me…you can also throughly but lightly sprinkle the garment and roll in a towel without putting in refrigerater. you will have to get the sprinkle down because too much and you have a wet shirt…but even with this I too use a Rowenta Steam iron and use its sprinkler for any dry spots on shirt. I love ironing my shirts and love a fresh well irony shirt!
That’s too funny! MY mother taught me to sprinkle then roll the shirts, or item to be ironed, in a damp towel and stack them near the board prior to ironing. I don’t know how mother missed that refrigerator step! Of course I completely abandoned this teaching when good steam irons came out. 😉
I’m with you Nancy, a good steam iron is all you need. I find it very relaxing to iron my shirts and pants…me time…LOL.
I agree about a good steam iron making all the difference in the world with ironing results. Jo-Ann Fabrics and Bed, Bath, and Beyond have coupons you can use to help with the purchase of a quality iron. (Also, I always check reviews on Amazon before purchasing anything over $50. You may find that helpful as well.)
There is nothing that looks so crisp and neat as a properly ironed shirt.
My mother had the same gadget…..I don’t even think her heavy iron had a spray!Eventually she did get one with, but her iron weighed a ton.
I sent some tights to my niece who teaches school at public school 3 on Hudson St. She then ordered fifteen pair. Some other teacher ordered them also. Sizes are disappearing. Will there be any reorders or is this it for the season?
Wonderful show. I did buy the swing coat in brick red and love the color. (I was the one who asked about the shade of red.) The matching scarf is luxe. Wasn’t going to get the reversible coat but got home just as it appeared and hit order!
Thank you so much for the hunter green. It’s one of my best colors and I never see it in stylish women’s clothes. I bought almost everything you offered in it.
Dear andrea, I know they have reordered the legging to fill the wait list and a few extras. They have not reordered the tights. I would recommend wait listing whatever you like, and if the numbers are there they will reorder…..or you will have to wait until next year, and then other than black I don’t know what colors they will reorder.
Louis, Most of the Opaque Tights (Colours) are GONE! You cannot Waitlist! Even the double pack of Black Opaque Tights has only Size A left!
I have no idea…..the season is just starting and they would make great stocking stuffers and Christmas gifts. All I can do is inquire
Have you tried the Animal Instincts tights….they really are fabulous, and another way to wear a black opaque tight.
Yes, the animal instinct tights wonderful. I was surprised to see the nude sheer hose sell out so quickly. I thought those would be the last to go.
I’m buying some of the flower lace tights for Xmas presents. Sexy and feminine!
My niece’s school is in Manhattan so you might see some young women running around in your tights!
Meant to add: my niece’s school is in Manhattan so don’t be surprised if you see women in that area wearing your tights. I never had such stylish teachers!
Meant to add: my niece’s school is in Manhattan so don’t be surprised if you see women running around in your tights. My teachers were not that stylish.
I think they would make very special Christmas presents.
I am very pleased with the slim leg pants I purchased. I chose the olive petite inseam. I really liked the faux Shetland wool tunics and if they come back for reorder definitely more colors like maybe a heathered red or the clay & hunter green shades. I really like the art deco print and wonder if the length can be shortened into a tunic length without ruining the lines of the garment?
Going forward, I would love to see more jersey prints in your line. I’m not a ‘one column of color’ person. I prefer a print top with a solid bottom of some sort.
Regards,
Chris
I think shortening the dress to a tunic would work fine, and look very pretty. I am doing more print tops next year.
Louis – I just finished trying on all my new pieces and I am thrilled with the slim pant, the coat, the suede jacket, the ‘wing’ blouse, the new WK sweaters (cardi & swing), the byzantine print top, the lovely new byzantine cross necklace, the tights, the peacoat and swing jacket. You were one busy designer! 5 stars for it all!!! I have been trying to catch up writing official reviews this afternoon.
I have a request for next year. I absolutely loved the colors and design of all 3 faux shetland sweaters, but I would much prefer all 3 styles in either your whisper knit or some other fabrication. I did try one, and it just didn’t meet my personal durability requirement. Without them there is a hole in my ‘grrranimals’ mix/match options. I would like to see more of the tunic length to pair up with all the leggings I purchased. Will we see more styles in January?
Thank you for all the hard work and thought that goes into your presentations. I write it all down! Loved this week’s show especially! Love you and Jac!
Yes…there will be quite a few new styles and reorders in Jan, but no new longer cardigans. What didn’t you like about the faux Shetland?
I love the Shetlands. Have been waiting for a small Persian blue. So far, no luck. Would like to see it in burgundy or wine, navy, and black. Also, in crewnecks.
Prefer wool, but many women can’t wear it.
Louis, I have to tell you that I finally decided to send my shetland sweater to Goodwill. Why? Because your new faux shetland fabric is an EXACT replica, minus the itch and bulk! I have to admit, I was skeptical that I could ever replace it, but this fabric is really even BETTER! Wow, thank you for working so tirelessly to update or favorite looks with more comfortable options. V neck sweater made my day! :-). Beautiful.
HEY, should I be getting my hopes up for a leather skirt??!!
I only wish…..They would never go for the price….that’s why there are so many faux leather things. Unless you use a really good quality of faux leather it can be awful!
Darn it! I received the stone suede jacket and it is everything I expected. The suede is like velvet and the fit is superb! The knit used for the sleeves is really nice. My only problem is a few wrinkles whick I expected since it comes through the mail. I have hung it up and put it in the bathroom for a good steam from the shower. It’s still not there yet but I think it will be fine. I also ordered the stone skirt and I love how I can put so many different colored sweaters under the jacket. It’s just a great piece.
Thank you so much!
Joe Zee has the best IMO. U can actually see what appears to be grain and simulated imperfections.
The DB (oh no) is thin and slick and looks nothing like real.
GILI faux l/ponte dress is heavy and rubbery and well stiff and heavy, shall I go on?
Please Louis, bring us something envious.
Do you have the Joe Zee garment and the A number?
Don’t understand why Q gives their G.I.L.I. line more expensive Items – that seem to sell – there was a Leather Dress earlier this year – for $349 – in Black and a deep Burgundy – which Sold Out – A241096 – but then Q has Price restrictions for Linea.
I think the difference is G line by Lisa was supposedly to attract and hold those 20-30 year olds who wanted hyper trendy fashion and were willing to pay lots for it! I personally think most of that stuff will be very dated in two years. Also that for many of that same demographic high costs means well designed! Linea women tend to be those looking for classics and R women who either know or can recognize well designed fashion…which cannot be said of everyone who buys at the Q! Imthink the G line may be ending with LIsa leaving?
Victoria….it will be interesting to see what happens with the GILI line without Lisa. She was able to sell those high price items, of course who knows what the returns were??? I don’t see anyone else selling GILI’s high prices the way Lisa did……she could sell snow to the Eskimos……..and she did!
Yes Louis, it’s A257904 Styled by Joe Zee Faux Leather Pleated skirt.
A very bizarre thing happened tonight. I was getting my information to have my order shipped and found that it had been canceled. It seems something always “questionable” happens to stop me from getting Linea items. But for sure, I was not the one who canceled my order. So much time invested, I just can’t waste any more.
That is very distressing news! I can’t understand what happened.?? I check out the JZ garment.
How about adding Ponte knit panels down each side for comfort and to keep the price down…would that help???
Not much…..it would still be expensive for Linea…….not GILI
I wore my Raspberry Pea Jacket today and got so many compliments. We are missing the same color Raspberry in a Whisper Knit sweater to wear with this jacket. I would like to request A217629 WK long sleeve V neck in this shade of Raspberry. Worn with the blue or white wing collar shirt and matching scarf would look fabulous. Also would love a Whisper Knit skirt, any length but especially the longer length skirt for winter. Hope you will consider both of these requests. Thanks, Louis.
Your opinion, please. If you are wearing a solid skirt and shoes of a different color, if you have tights/leggings/hosiery in both color, what is your color preference? Match the shoes or match the skirt?
Dear Carol…both can work. You can match the skirt or the shoe…the most obvious…black shoe, black tights, camel skirt…or stone skirt and tights black shoe boot. Which ever you are matching have to really work, or it can all look off.
Just wanted to add to the compliments on your last showings. I received my olive suede jacket and I love it….. The fit is wonderful and will look great over the olive dress and with many other things in my wardrobe……. Thank you…..P.S. would still love some chunky hoops (pierce) in tarnish brass look……
Louis, I love everything I’ve received from the Fall collection! Swing sweaters are wonderful.
Could you please post step by step pics of how to tie the belt on the reversible faux fur coat? I’m a knot klutz and the camera was at the wrong angle when you did the demo on air.
Enjoyed your show. Received my swing sweaters which I ordered in my usual large for whisperknit. While the mulberry was perfect, the olive was huge–it felt like a 1 or 2x. The label was marked large. Sorry I have to return. I’m worried if I ask for an exchange it will not fit either.
They would still be responsible for the return if it’s the wrong size.
Thanks. I will risk the exchange as I love it.
I got all the colors in the swing sweater and mine all fit the same so likely your one was not labeled correctly. I love all of mine they fit so easy and beautiful. Thanks, Louis.
I’m so glad that you are able to bring us tights! If they do well and you continue with the collection, will you consider adding trouser socks? I would love the same colors to wear with your pants. (Now waiting for all my latest items to arrive…can’t wait to try on the reversible coat — got it in the stone/black!) Thank you Louis!
Dear Wildrose…I would love to expand the line with lots of different products, to user socks being one of them. Of course the buyers would have to agree!
I’ll keep my fingers crossed!
Let us at those buyers … we’ll tell them LOL … I want trouser socks!!! And of course, just about anything else you can dream up 🙂
My WK Swing Sweaters arrived today … PERFECT! And my long awaited Brick Red Perfect Cardigan. AND Mr. Walter said they were all “WOW, that looks nice …” THANKS, Louis!
I would LOVE knee highs!!!! If a dress or skirt is long enough I don’t do the whole tights/panty hose thing and just wear knee highs. Would love to see something like that, as well as trouser socks in a slew of solid colors and in patterns or prints 🙂
Ditto that. The quality of the tights and leggings you offer are vastly superior to anything else I have found in the marketplace. Trouser socks/knee-highs and more colors in the tights (cobalt blue, fushia, hunter and olive green) also would be appreciated. I’ll say some prayers that QVC approves not only the continuation of your hosiery line but its expansion as well. Thanks, Louis, for bringing us the best of the best!
I’ll put a plea in for more than just One Size Fits All on the trouser socks. Please don’t leave us long-legged gals out of this picture if it comes to be! 🙂 I too am loving the hosiery – in ALL styles! I may just become a winter skirt person after all – thanks to you!
Glad to see the WK scarves & your gorgeous colored pearls finally got some airtime!
(viewed the online videos). . .
My latest order of the WK scarves will complete my Xmas shopping – love your box design – makes gift giving so easy.
Thanks again Louis for a Great Fall Showing. I’m wearing the WK Black shawl today under a wool cape – it’s a fabulous layering piece I will enjoy all the Winter long.
Oh Louis, you are THE MAN!
I received the button front ponte knit jacket (A257333) and it fits like it was made for me. It is a little pricey for my budget but once I saw the fabric, I understand how the fabric and design make it such a quality garment. I hope this was successful because I would buy if you offered more colors. And, can I gush about the Swing Sweater in Mulberry? You hit it spot on with the just amount of swing. I am hoping this will be re-ordered in other Whisper Knit colors. My reviews have been posted with 5 stars. Thanks again. I always look forward to your new styles. I am retired and work at home part-time and volunteer but still have business meetings, although casual. Your clothes are perfect.
Dear Jackie…..enjoy your jacket it is very special, and yes the fabric is exceptional and will last for years. Unfortunately, neither the jacket nor the legging will be reordered.
Hi Louis, Beautiful shows on Monday. I received my faux fur coat in black/black and love it! Very slimming even as a plus size.
As I was watching PM Style on Monday, my cable went out — but just on channel 33 which is QVC on Time Warner in Brooklyn. It continues being out, but the funny thing is, all the other channels work! I think it is a sign from the universe that I’ve been doing too much Linea (and Christmas decoration) shopping on QVC!
LOL….Dear Jane….just in time since I don’t have any more shows until Jan. But I will be on the morning show with Jane and Pat this Monday and I think the next. It’s all listed on my IMPORTANT DATES section.
Do you know what you will be presenting then?
Dear JBCinSD….I haven’t been told yet, but it’s nothing new….I believe Whisper Knits that may not have had air time….but honestly I don’t know…I should know by Friday morning….not much advanced notice.
Maybe the WK V-neck since there’s lots of new colors? It would be nice to see the new zip front cardigan a second time too with the matching tank and scarf. I love that sweater and wear it constantly as I can adjust the neckline to whatever modesty level I need to work during a long day! High for work, low for after dinner drinks, lower for date night! I also like it belted. Very versatile piece. Wish it came in more colors!
U R good they will both be on, but not sure which FEW show.
Do you have your script yet for either of the Nov FEW appearances?
Are you kidding me…..LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL….I won’t get it until late Thursday or Friday morning.
I shoulda known! Guessing we’ll see reorders or revisit items from earlier in the season?
Glorious shows on Monday, Louis!! But even as I await all of my purchases, I can’t help but look forward to the new jewelry still to come. There’s a necklace that I’ve been waiting for since you first showed it in a Sept. 3 sneak peek. You have the sienna turtleneck styled with what you described as a “long spaced bead necklace” in a chocolate or coppery color. You’ve also shown at other times hoop or demi-hoop earrings that match that necklace. I must. have. that. necklace. lol I already own the root beer cross that you paired with the necklace, so when can I get my hot little hands on that necklace?
Dear Yvette….not until next year….the one I showed was a first prototype. I know I shouldn’t show things so early but I can’t help myself….LOL
Love that neck;lace! Louis, you are a tease with the sneak peeks…
Good morning Louis, just a word of thanks for all the wonderful new clothes for the Fall/Winter season. I’m set from top to bottom. Enjoyed your shows on Monday and the ever chic Jac. Looking forward to the jewerly that is still to come. Enjoy the season and the upcoming holidays.

Linea by Louis DellOlio Whisper Knit Long Sleeve Jewel Neck Top. It was tunic length and came in black, walnut and I believe tobacco. Will it be reordered? Love it.
unfortunately, no. It has not been reordered….it’s a great sweater, and with all the leggings it’s perfect…..I’ll try to revise it.
I think it might have helped if QVC would have titled it with “tunic” ini its name. The only negative comments I read about it was that people did not expect it to be that long since it was not called a tunic. Actually think it would have sold better as a tunic and of course presented in a better time slot for those of us that work during the day.
The thread is getting long and I hope this is not erased but I’ll try. Question about the luxe fur coat.
My regular size M lists a chest measurement of about 45″ which sounds normal. The sweep or (bottom opening) however is 53.5″ which sounds generous. Does that include an overlap, and should we subtract that from the total to determine what the true opening is? If so, how much is the overlap?
Thank you.
Cela.
I don’t know how QVC measures, but a sweep is usually measured from side seam to side seam….the overlap has nothing to do with the sweep.
