Linea Logo Necklace just got posted on Q!
J320468 – Goldtone, Silvertone and Two Tone!
Thanks Seka! Just ordered the two-tone version.
You’re welcome.
The Earrings are now available also – J320884 – Goldtone and Silvertone – pierced only.
Good luck on the show today, Louis. Already placed my order.
I wanted to say how very nice it was to remember KOOS. I loved his clothes for something different. They are still good today. Congrats on picking the manufacturer, as well. What ever personality differences, I believe he was a little ahead of QVC at THAT time. I believe Kathy Levine brought him to the Q.
AGAIN, A VERY NICE PERSON DOING A VERY NICE GESTURE, ON YOUR PART.
Are you bringing back just in style version A233856 Linea Printed Cardigan in a different pattern. I love the retro sweaters such as the dye tie as well as the printed cardigans for summer. Yours are so much better than the other pattered cardigans on QVC.
Dear Joanne….sort of….a similar sweater in a similar length, but this time in a Zebra print….lots of fun.
Louis: You may not be aware of this, but QVC has stopped showing us the “click here” measurements on new items. Most of us really rely upon these measurements to make sure we buy the correct size and limit our returns. On the new cardigan, women are calling customer service and asking for them and posting the measurements, but not all who buy will see them. Just bringing this to your attention to see if you can have any input on this with the Q.
Louis,
First of all– travel home safely please–ANOTHER snow storm for you guys on the East
coast??!! Enough already!!! Thats worse than lake front Michigan.
Second- am I dreaming or did I hear you say on the morning show during the presentatio
of the skirt(I have all of them) that you are doing sneaks for next month? Hmmmm
Louis will your new sweater jacket in navy shown on today’s show work with the navy WK pants (the newest version) ? Thanks.
It will be on the 2pm show. I am not home to check the colors, but they should work.
Dear bcm….even thought the pant and cardi are two different yarns they blend nicely together…..the navies are very close…….close enough to wear together IMHO
Dear Louis,
Is the jacket/cardigan the only new item this visit? It is the only item posted as new on Q’s website. I have to work, so I will miss the show and I was wondering if I had to keep stalking the website for anything else.
Thank You
Yes, and no….I will be showing some reorders in new colors and the LL Hoodie, which is already on line, but hasn’t had air time. There will also be sneak peeks of things to come.
Louis I am not sure how long ago this was but you did some linen pieces, I know I brought a black and white sleeveless blouse with what I can only describe as a Jackie O collar and I also brought a 3/4 length jacket in black.
Are there any plans in the near future for linen? I know a lot of women don’t like to wear linen because it wrinkles but I love it.
“They” will not buy linen…..too many returns for wrinkling? What did they think they were getting Iron?
That’s disappointing I love linen, but if they don’t know they really don’t know!
Hi Louis,
I am really interested in the navy cardigan/jacket and look forward to seeing that tomorrow! I am looking to wear it with the navy ponte pant. By the way, I LOVE these pants but they have been pilling — is there anything I can do about that? Also, awhile back, I had mentioned looking for a top to go with the olive animal jacquard zip front jacket and I thought you mentioned a short sleeve jersey top coming in January but I don’t remember ever seeing that. Did I miss it or is it coming on another visit?
Thanks,
Sue
Butting in again–but hope it helps. I never put my ponte in the dryer–I hang to dry. Pilling is the result of abrasion in the wash/dry. I wash mine inside out or put them in a lingerie bag. Mine have never pilled. Also, I have an amazing Izumi fabric shaver that I got on Amazon. Removes pills in seconds and the garment looks like new. It’s battery operated. Pricey, but if it saves you from having to toss something into the trash, well worth it.
Dear Carol thanks for your advice . I always use the same basic ponte knit. Some find it pills and some don’t….maybe that’s the answer. In general it’s been a very successful fabric.
Thanks Carol and Louis! Love the pants. Will give this a try 🙂
I have found that it is important to wash the ponte with like fabric. If you wash with flannel or towels or anything linty it will pill. I learned a painful lesson.
Dear Sue,
I have had very good luck with Louis’ ponte knits. This is how I care for them. I wash them in cold water on the knit cycle, making sure to turn them wrong side out before I wash them. (Just a note, I only wash knit fabrics with other knits. I would never wash a pair of jeans, for instance, with knits.) When they are done washing, I turn them right side out and let them air dry on a hanger.
Unlike some Calvin Klein pontes I have that have pilled badly, Louis’ never have. They still look great.
A trick that I have found to deal with knits that have already pilled is to lightly press them with a cool to warm iron with a steaming cloth. This can sometimes press the pills down so they do not show for that wearing.
All the best,
Patti
Dear Louis, I just wanted to thank you for making me feel so special. I have
Bergdorf’s taste but not the budget. Thanks to you, I feel sophisticated, pulled
together and way more stylish then I can afford. Thank you and QVC for giving me
this gift. I too am one of the ladies that you have allowed to wear turtlenecks by
giving them to us in whisper knit. Love this fabric, and your cotton for the summer
is dreamy, and the crepe! Devine. So happy I found the blog, now I can show
and not have everything be sold out. You are the Best! Keep in coming.
LDO-how would you advise we store our new moss crepe pieces? Do they need to be folded or can they be hung on a velvet hanger?
I think they can be hung, but it’s always safer to keep knits flat.
Hi Louis
Thanks so much for refreshing my memory of someone we so enjoyed and now must say GOODBYE to. I had forgotten, but was nice to reflect on his clothes and personality. No matter what you could tell he loved what he did. I believe KATHY LEVINE brought him to QVC. It was so very nice to reflect on someone we knew through his exquisite, edgey designs and clothes. Frankly, whatever his personality, I believe his style was ahead of where QVC was at THAT time.
Thank you!
Looking forward to tomorrow.
Will there be new items for Monday’s show…or will it be returning favorites?
Dear sherry….there will be both….and lots of sneak peeks on both the 6am show….I’am number 4, and 15 in the line up, and the 2pm show.
That’s….4,5, and 15 on the 6am show
Oh! You are on in the morning tomorrow too! You have listed Feb 20th for FEW but not tomorrow…
Sherry….it was a quick addition. Of course the morning show rarely sells anything new…so I’ve spiced it up with sneak peeks of things coming this spring……not on tomorrows shows
My peony pink hoodie and tank, white leisure pant, tile print skirt in cobalt, WK drape front cardigan in lapis arrived and everything is perfect, colorful, fit is on point with the hoodie and tank I ordered my regular size. I love the white leisure pants I definitely have to order the black along with the hoodie and tank I can see many uses for this including dress down Fridays!
Thanks again Louis the tile print skirt in cobalt and the WK cardigan in lapis look stunningly colorful.
Hello,
I recently discovered your line of clothing on QVC and hope you can give me some guidance in purchasing dress pants. I am looking for a pant that is not snug in the legs but also not wide leg balloon pants. Most importantly, I need fabric that does not wrinkle even after sitting at my desk for an extended time. In buying dress pants elsewhere including Talbots and Brooks Brothers, both the wool and polyester pants they offer wrinkle badly. Can you recommend which of your dress pants I should consider? Many thanks for your advice. – Debra
I’m clearly not Louis, but can I recommend his A259702. Pay no attention to the QVC photo–these are not tapered at the ankle as the photo shows. They are the BEST pants, come in regular and petite, and they wash and wear like iron. I’m sure Louis has his own recommendations, but take it from a die hard Linea Lady–try them, you’ll like them!
crdlb
Those are exactly the pants I was going to recommend…..those and the subtle pinstripe which also come in reg and petite. The pinstripe can be worn with many many things, and the fabric is a superior yarn dyed cloth.
I was going to recommend the pinstripe, too!
Louis, yesterday I wore my Roma Ponte Pants in the heather gray with the charcoal faux-shetland pullover. Each time I wear my Roma Ponte pieces, I am reminded all over again how splendid that fabric is. They all still look brand new. I especially love the style and fit of the pants and would like to see it repeated again, perhaps in another ponte knit. But then, I’m one of the lovers of the super ponte leggings and jacket and have purchased 9 pieces of the super ponte. I’m sad to see them reduced (meaning no reorders). I hope the knit itself will be used in other styles down the road. I also want to let you know how much I love the LL pants. I will be picking up that item in duplicates also. I’m sad to say I had to return the LL tunic top. I was so sad that it didn’t fit because the garment itself is gorgeous – just too narrow in the shoulders, back and chest for me. I’m going to have to pass on the LL jackets and tanks since they are tapered in 2=3″ more in the top in my size with no way of up-sizing from 3X. Do you and the buyer have scheduled a more relaxed, slouchy leisure jacket or tunic? Being in marketing, I understand why you and the buyer decided to taper the pieces a bit toward more youthful and fitted for the expected buyer. But, I sure would like to see a more “leisurely” jacket and tunic option. In fact, when I wore my A251586 anorak jacket earlier this week, I thought it would be splendid in the LL knit.
Thank you for your firm, loud and clear advice not to size down in the new oversized sweater. All 3 of mine arrived, have been washed and are wonderful. (I missed out on one of the colors.) I agonized and agonized when I saw how big the “click here” measurements were. You were, of course, right though. I trust you and overcame that strong urge to size down 🙂 Fantastic with turtleneck underneath. WOW with your gorgeous multi-faceted necklace J271862 in bronze! My favorite from the recent show!
Good morning. My husband is back in town and just tried on the wk turtlenecks in the 1X (as you suggested). They fit him to a tee. I am going to order more for him. I’m also going to write a review on the item page. Hopefully, more women will buy them for their husbands. Your wife is a very smart lady. You obviously know that because you always give her credit.you. You are a powerful couple. Smart, kind, keen business sense, to say the least. Stay well and have a great weekend. See you in your next shows.
Linea Leisure Long Skirt available now on Q!
A262069 – Black and Navy!
I have been e-mailing them every day about this, Finally it’s posted. I haven’t seen the picture, and I just had my breakfast so I won’t go and look at it! I’m sure it’s a lovely picture and the model’s pose and footwear are appropriate.
It’s styled EXACTLY the way you tell us NOT to wear a longer skirt! Nude hose, low heeled pumps, white cotton blouse tucked in.
Can you believe it….who is dressing these models! No one dresses like that….I won’t even look!!
ROFLMAO! Too funny, Louis!
Not you it seems!
The elementary school photographer strikes again!
All I can say is YAY!!
Dearest Louis, I had to let you know all of my beautiful new Linea purchases came today. I ordered so much, even more than I needed but couldn’t control myself. lol I love everything so very much and sometimes think you made every item just for me. Everything fits like it was made for me. Even though I am happy with everything, my favorite is the (oversized) wk sweater. I didn’t find it to be oversized but loose and chic with drape and movement. Oh my, I love, love it! I am almost ashamed to admit I ordered one in every color and there isn’t a bad color in the bunch. To fully understand how much I love it I admit I went back and ordered 2 more in black! I can’t wait to get these beauties. I can’t wait for a reorder of these perfect sweaters. I just wanted to get my order in for this beautiful sweater in a true red! Sending much love and prayers to you and Jac.
Dear Judy….I’m glad to hear you love your sweater! I have heard it’s getting bashed on the Linea forum for being HUGE! This sweater is far from huge. I would even say it’s a semi over sized sweater. For those who think this sweater is huge, they don’t know what a real over sided sweater looks like. Jac also ordered two….one in her size of xs and one in sm, because on some occasions, with jeans, she wants it even bigger. I would appreciate it if you posted your review and feelings on the Linea site, and the Linea forum before every women who was on the fence gets scared off..it’s a terrific sweater….you must try it with a turtle neck under it…..wear it well………..regards, Louis
Louis, I think the Q made a huge mistake when they named the sweater “Oversized”—that immediately sets off a chain reaction of alarming questions/issues about sizing, etc….enough to make one’s head spin off!
Louis, I love the “oversized” sweaters I received yesterday. They are so flattering. I am wearing the petrol blue over the new LL black straight pants with flats and feel very Audrey Hepburnish. I will be sure to leave my rave reviews over on the Q. I’ve been following the thread in the forum on these sweaters and it is unfortunate that the most outspoken are somewhat flamboyant in the adjectives. I can understand where, in their eyes, the sweaters seem to be “huge, blocky and shapeless”. We spend so much time with each other on the forum, that after a couple years reading fit reviews and raves, I can pretty much visualize the regular posters. By what they love or don’t love, one soon begins to know the height, size, figure type and proportion of regular posters. The ones that find the sweater to be huge seem to be those that post how wonderful shorter, fitted items in the Linea line are. I think the ladies that are smaller in the top and narrower in the shoulder are not as receptive to the sweater as are tall, broad-shouldered, chesty, long-armed gals like me. Those that slam the oversized sweater loved your tie-dyed cardigan and raved about it to the point that I actually ordered it. On me the short, more- fitted cardigan looked like I borrowed some tween’s sweater. Nothing wrong with the cardigan. It was beautiful. I couldn’t blame the sweater – it was just not suited for my figure type. I am so glad that you go to battle for all sizes and proportions of your Linea Ladies. I just regret that new Linea Ladies reading the negative reviews don’t know well enough the frames of the regular posters as a basis for the review. Deb
So well said, Deb. I think most of us know what flatters our body types, so it’s surprising to see how many of us rail against a style that we know will not work. For me, being tall, this sweater is a dream come true in every way. I have oversized sweaters that are roomier & slouchier than this one, so I especially appreciate this finer cut and the modified drape. It’s beautiful and gives me the flexibility to comfortably wear it in many ways. I’ll live in it.
“Great style has less to do with physical beauty than high intellect.” A quote from one of the most fascinating books I’ve read in years:”I’ll Drink to That,” by Betty Halbriech. That line introduced a paragraph about Joan Rivers. The book was written before she died but published after.Sad that Joan couldn’t read the paragraph about her. It sounds like they were true friends.
She’s eighty six and still working at Bergdorf’s. She has strong opinions; the first two she mentions are mine also. Why sleeveless dressed and pants fitting below the waist?
I got this in the library and was so upset about not being able to underline that my niece bought it for me.
I assume you know her. If so, I hope she’s pleasant to you and Jac. It reads like she can have a sharp edge.
I thank you for all my wonderful new pieces (WK tunics in fuchsia and spring green, both quilted jackets, WK swing cardigans in lapis and malachite, WK cardigans in charcoal grey and perfectly pink, and both sets of the “Missoni” skirts and tops) – my wallet is not as fond of you 🙂
I vaguely remember reading that A223652 the lace jacket withering has been reordered with new colours in navy and perfectly pink – is this correct?
LOL- I wrote lace jacket with trim
Hello Louis, I had to tell you I received my new ENR sweaters in all of the colors and I really love that green and fuchsia color. I don’t know if it’s my imagination but is the swing sweater a thicker knit than this seamed one? I can’t begin to tell you how much I love that swing sweater and I would buy every color I can get. I now have 3 of each color so that tell you how much I love that sweater. From now on I’m buying all the ENR whisper knits I can get so Thank-you for these. Im so sorry that the new leisure line does not work on my plus size body .
Dear Sharon…all of the WK ENR fabric is supposed to be the same. It’s all the same yarn knitted on the same machines, but I agree some feel different than others. I know from experience that some colors effect the yarn differently. That’s the best explanation I can give. The manufacturer always orders the same yarn, and it is always knitted on the same machines….sorry about the LL…do the pants work? They are terrific separate pants. Don’t give up…there will be different styles and shapes in the LL line ahead that might work better for you.
Thank-you for the information about the sweaters. Regarding the new LL the jackets which I really like runs smaller and especially around the upper arm but I am keeping my pink. The white pants don’t work because I need a thicker fabric with some kind of liner but I’m sure there are other things for me to buy, after all I did see a nice striped sweater in black and white that was sneak peeked. Thanks Louis
Louis,
Will there be Whisper Knit skirt in Hunter Green in the future? Of course I want one, and that is why I’m asking.
So far the WK skirt has not been reordered…too much inventory, but if it does Hunter Green would be a contender.
This is in jest, but I’m sorry that we ladies allowed pants to enter our closets legitimately and big-time in the 1970s. And they were in the form of polyester pantsuits (still jesting), no less!
Pants and a more casual way of dress are pushing aside my preferred look. Oh well, what are you going to do? Times change.
Ditto that, Goldie76.
I’m loving that hunter green column of color too Goldie! The wonderful WK pants and my WK turtleneck in hunter. Snowed this morning, sunny but temps going to -20 real feel tonight. Of COURSE I’m in my hunter green column of warmth – er color, today!
Oh Louis, Moss crepe skirt ROCKS!!! Jac is so right this skirt is totally amazing. Going back for another one. Can’t be without it. The fit, fabric, drape lining perfection. Now I need a jacket out of this fabric (with same lining) zip slant pockets and double zip up front zip in gun metal. Perhaps one side with two zip pockets and the other side with only one zip pocket. Want the double zip in front so I can just zip it in at the waist and let the bottom unzipped. Got to have it. — please consider designing a jacket for us to go with this skirt that is edgy & elegant.
And please, please, please, moss crepe drapey, languid pants like the feather jersey with pleats in the front. Love those pants!! Black, camel, green, brown and some shade of red.
Louis, your moss crepe top is my favorite purchase from your January show! I wish I had been able to get the matching skirt, but it’s a few inches too short for me. So I agree with Happy Lady that we need pants in your moss crepe. Regular with at least a 32″ inseam please (and petites)!
Dear Louis, would you give us some hints about your Feb. 9th show?
Dear Maia….I don’t have much time between he shows this time, and i haven’t gotten my show script yet, so I don’t know if i will be able to do sneak peeks. I have a lot to do between now and Sunday.
Louis, thank you for the reply. I’ll enjoy seeing a show of surprises!
Another positive hoorah for the quilted jacket!!! I posted my review on QVC, so I won’t repeat it here. My moss crepe items are still sitting in PA…waiting impatiently!
Back at Anne Klein you did some turtlenecks in a lighweight fabric, maybe a silk blend…I had about six in off-beat designer pastel colors that were colors not out of a crayola box. I normally don’t like pastels, but these were grayed and beautiful. They were a great weight for layering, and being silky they did not stick to anything. Is this a possibility for Linea, or is the market too small?
I plan to do some pastel colors….not gooey colors. I hope there are enough women out there who like and want some pretty pastels.
I would love your pastels! Just say’n…
Me too!
I’ll take all you offer in pastels.!!
Received the sienna top. FYI, it looks good with my nutmeg skirt. Thanks.
Good morning Louis, I received my order from your January shows, am so happy with every item I ordered
A259102 both navy and aubergine, love the soft comfy feel of this fabric-I have the stone ‘Kate’ shirt which I will wear with the aubergine and the white wing collar shirt which I will wear with the navy (may see if my size is avl in the blue and pink), among other things I have that will look fab with these jackets. I will wear these jackets mostly with jeans.
A262064 LL hoodie in PP, A262066 tanks in PP and black, also love the feel of this fabric, very soft, lightweight, but still will be just warm enough without being too hot, love the length as I find most hoodie’s are too short unless I size up, which I don’t like cause then I look all “bulky”.
A262453 moss crepe top and A262454 moss crepe skirt. This took a leap of faith for me as I was unsure about this fabric, but, this also is a winner in my book. I originally ordered in black, but have already placed an order for the navy. Fabric is just as you described and plan to wear the black to a wedding in late March. I spent considerable time studying the “click here” measurement guide on the Q’s website, and, Woo-Hoo, got the right sizes.
I am still checking daily for the Dew Drop sets to drop into inventory, I also think I will be purchasing both colors in those.
And this was after I had told myself I was cutting down on clothing purchases this year, guess that didn’t pan out very well for me, but such great pieces added to my collection.
Just want to say a big thank you for all the work you do in finding these great fabrics and your excellent design skills, as well as your wonderful sense of style. Also want to say that I think the models on QVC always do a great job, but it seems to me that they are just “happy” when they are wearing your designs and styling. Not a dig at any other of QVC’s designers, just my opinion.
And last but not by any means least, Jac is just beautiful, always. Some camera shots it just strikes me how truly gorgeous she really is.
Thanks again for all you do in trying to please us all. You do a great job of it.
Dear Louis,
I just wanted to let you know I ordered just about everything and everything is fantastic! The quilted jackets fit as if they were made for me. The LL will give my ponte pants a break. Love the LL hoodies (I sized up on this one. The cardi, and tanks will be my week end go to.. The new wk tunics are a winner, (split front and over sized). I hope we can get reorders eventually. You never fail to amaze!!!! Big Hugs from snowy, icy Long Island. How long till Spring?
Dear Louis,
I wanted to let you know how much I loved all my Linea treasures this time. I received the Leisure hoodie, cardigan, shells, and pants. I definitely went overboard, but they filled a need for casual wear, and, well I couldn’t resist them! What I loved even more, if that’s possible, was the OTO navy diamond knit jacket. Perfection!! It fits like a dream, and the fabric is so special! Thank you, thank you for your skill, your artistry in design, and your love for the ladies you create for. I love to get dressed every day now that I found your designs!
Hi Louis,
What a pleasure to report in on my new Quilted Jackets …. FABULOUS! Warm, soft, comfortable, snaps, perfect colors, stripes inside, dress up dress down, roll up to travel … just absolutely wonderful!!! Had my heart set on the Navy, ordered during the show and … close to midnight against all my resolutions, ordered the Aubergine, and am I ever glad I did … even Walter approved and agreed today 🙂 Win, Win, Win.
Hugs and THANKS!
Dear Cathy….I love the Aubergine….because it looks great with aubergine WK, stone, navy, pink and pale blue shirts, and of course jeans, so it’s the best of both worlds….Say high to Walter.
Hi back from Walter, Louis … he asked me the other day if I thought he had to wait another year for that braided bread again LOL. I do really love these jackets, they’re just perfect, and 2 of my favorite colors … the little diamonds are so neutral; they will be fantastic to travel with. Thanks again!
Louis, I received part of my order today. The navy and Aubergine jackets are exquisite in design, colors and fit!
I am over the moon and so glad I got both. Light as a wisp, fabric is gorgeous and OMG I love love love it! I got medium
and am thrilled with fit… shoulder pads. seaming, snaps, pockets, collar shape…all of it is perfection! I wrote a review similar to this
It is for me a special designer piece and one of my all time favorite Linea by Louis jackets!
Dear Victoria……you are the first person I’ve heard from about this jacket….I always hold by breath waiting for the reviews, especially about the fit. I so pleased your happy with them!!
Dear Louis,
I loved both the style and the fabric of the Drape Front Charmeuse Blouse (A218569) from a while back. Is there any chance you can use that fabric again in another top and/or repeat that style?
I have the top in Steel Grey, Taupe, and Purple. I would love some in a vivid Teal; bright Olive; and pale shades of Copper, Aqua, Peach/Pink, Camel/Gold, and Grey/Silver.
If you cannot repeat the style, any style you design would be wonderful. I really love that fabric.
Having an elegant skirt and some pull-on pleated pants (like the Wide Leg Pull-on Pants w/Pleat Detail–A233191) to go with the top would be nice as well.
Thanks for anything you can do.
Dear Patti…..I’m happy to hear you loved that blouse….it was very CHIC! However, you and I are were definitely in the minority….it did not do well. I guess you had to be a very specific body type, and have a certain taste to appreciate the high style of it. Charmeuse is a difficult fabric to find, because the good ones are too expensive, and the inexpensive ones are horrid and stiff. I can’t afford that quality any more…..so I don’t think I will be doing anything remotely like it any time soon….I do have two fabulous long shirts coming for fall in very interesting new fabrics…..I hope you like them.
Dear Louis,
I cannot wait to see the new long shirts that are coming in the fall. I have never had anything that you designed that I did not absolutely love–the fabric, the color, and the design.
By the way, I was thrilled that I was able to get the blue Quilted Jacket with Front Pockets ((A259102) last week. I can’t wait to receive it. I’m counting the many ways I will be able to use it with other pieces I already have. I think that jacket will be right up there with the Herringbone Jacket with Pocket Detail (A226257) in the Stone color I got awhile back. What a workhorse it is! It goes with so many things.
I also got the Lapis Blue pieces that Jac modeled: the WK Drape Front Cardigan (A237402) and the WK Long Sleeve Turtleneck (A72448). So I can use the jacket in the warmer months, I also purchased the WK Scoop Neck Tank (A253408). Love that Lapis Blue! I think that color looks great on everybody.
I have another question–if QVC is not willing to do anything in Charmeuse again, how about the fabric used in the Faux Washed Silk Tunic (A251589) and Pull-On Pants (A251590) or the fabric of the Woven Fly Front Pants w/Side Pockets (A235315)?
I love those fabrics and I have pieces in several colors. I’d still love a top, skirt, and pants in any of the colors I mentioned in the previous message (vivid Teal; bright Olive; and pale shades of Copper, Aqua, Peach/Pink, Camel/Gold, and Grey/Silver.). Is it possible?
Thanks,
Patti
Thanks for letting us know, Louis. I’m one of the women who loved that blouse. My mother gasped with she stroked the fabric. I think it’s a classic. I will hold on to it and cherish it!
Dear Patti…I have to laugh…your picking all of my worst sellers…LOL…which happen to be some of my favorites….so what does they say about me?….I used to work with a buyer from Philly who bought for a very chic high end boutique. One of her best friends and clients was Patti La Belle who I met through her and when ever I see Patti she always says Hi Louis…she’s a true real lady ..When ever she would come into the show room I was happy to work with her. She would ask me for the styles that none of the other stores were buying. I asked her why, and she said that they were the riskiest and most fashion forward pieces and that’s what she wanted for her boutique…..it was a lesson learned, because she was RIGHT. The clothes she wanted were the most special, not the most commercial…so consider yourself in that category …..you always pick the most special pieces, not necessarily the most commercial!
Dear Louis,
Perhaps, from here on out, you should check with me before you send sketches to QVC. 🙂 Just do not show them the things I like. It might save you some time and trouble. (Tee-Hee)
Seriously, my peculiar taste is not just just a problem for me where fashion is concerned. I also find that if I like a color of lipstick or blush, that is “The kiss of death”; that color will be discontinued soon. Knowing that, I now buy multiple colors of any lipstick or blush I like because it more than likely will not be in stock the next time I go to the store.
A Rugged Fashion Individualist,
Patti
Jac has the same problem and buy all she can knowing it won’t be there the next time.
Louis thank you for sharing my message regarding the moss crepe vneck top with the buyers. Let me also share a little secret with you about this top, I have the magenta and black and wanted to wear the top right away, but since it was a bit chilly in San francisco I put the magenta one on first backwards and the black over it facing correctly. This is smashing! What it does is fills in the vneck with the magenta and gives you a couple inches of the magenta longer in the front. It also shows a pit of the color on the flirty sides. This is a delightful surprise, no bulk The fabric drapes beautifully together as a double layer and the extra peak of the second color feels so fresh. And, when I travel if I wear it double layered f something gets on the outside piece–just switch them. I’m going back for the navy. You might want to have Jacque try to see if you like it as much as I do. hugs to you & your team for moss crepe.
You are a very clever young lady….I would have never thought of that. I’m going to call you Heidi!
I like the name Heidi.
Loui, Moss crepe vneck top. Got it love it! Love this new fabric (dare I say it) as much as whisper knit. I now have a new Linea addiction Moss Crepe. We must have more pieces in this fabric. The drape, the hand of the fabric, the way it takes color–oh my! Do tell us, are there more pieces coming our way?
I’m really glad to hear you love the Moss Crepe. I have submitted new sketched for next spring…..we will have to wait and see if they are selected. I did forward your message to my buyers…..fingers crossed.
Hi Louis. Loved your shows as usual. I received the wk turtlenecks for my husband but he went out of town, unexpected. I will let you know re the fit when he gets back. My question is, I just ordered 2 of A257382, ss jewel neck in the small my usual size. No presentation or video but the rep said that the small measures 35 and not your usual 37 across the bust. Should I cancel my check status and order a medium? Also waiting or the new Ivory tunic A262032. The city isn’t soo bad. I hope Connecticut is ok and you,Jac and the girls are fine. Thank you as always.
Dear Mimi…you know I really don’t like to give fit advise because everyone likes things the fit differently. Since the sweater is made in the ENR construction it is very stretchy……so I think your usual size should be good.
Louis.
Just received my order of LL. I’m in love with the fabric and the fit. Perfect for our long NC summers. Please, please do lots more.
Beryl
Louis, I won’t take it personally that you’ve answered everyone’s question, but mine;) I’d like to know when the Linea Leisure skirt A262069 will be available? Thanks.
Dear Grace didn’t I answer you? I guess if I didn’t it’s because I don’t know. It’s all been delivered. With these OLO pieces I never know when they will post them….I check, and see what they say.
Appreciate it, Louis. I know a few of us have been “stalking” the skirt thinking it would appear with the rest of the LL grouping. Sometimes QVC works in mysterious ways. Thanks for checking into it for us!
I forgot to sign in so my question is showing up from “Anonymous”
Hi Louis I was wondering about the WK drape front cardigan in lapis color A237402 and the tile print skirt in cobalt would the lapis color compliment the cobalt skirt; I already own the top to the skirt but at the time my size in the skirt wasn’t available and just popped back in stock so I snatched it up.
Thanks for your help.
I’ll have to check my samples, but I’m watching the Super Bowl!
back from the super bowl….the colors look great together
Great! What a nice pop of color and thanks for checking. Hope you enjoyed the game.
Lunchtime special today I got A213615 the scoop neck floral print top in the pink I wanted the blue too but it sold out while I was checking out. I think this top may work with the perfectly pink cardigan…I will see but either way I want the top.
Louis,
I’m not just asking, I’m begging, for more MOSS CREPE. It’s the winner for me so far in this season’s offerings. The two piece dress look is my very favorite. I am going to wear the navy to my niece’s wedding this spring. Thanks for taking that off my “to do” list.

Dear Louis and Fashion Family
I had ordered the Gorgeous whisper knit swing sweater and matching pencil skirt in October on the Q. I received the beautiful pencil skirt in stone right away. Fits awesomely. I was on waitlist several times for the matching tunic and I just got the top…oh no…wrong size! I just checked with the Q and they only have a XL. Is there hope for a medium #A259620 tunic in stone that may be coming available? Or a large? I would be willing to have it altered. I would hate to return the skirt in the chance that the tunic will make its reappearance. Its so beautiful! I can’t help to feel disappointed that I lost this outfit for my special occasion. Thanks for the opportunity e-mail you.
Thank you all,
Dear Kat….there aren’t more coming as I haven’t been told that style has officially been reordered. If it is I don’t know which colors they would want….my guess would be black and mulberry, but that’s just a guess. I do love the stone skirts with many many things. Any black top and tights with the stone looks great…or the stone Animal Instincts tights can dress up the look.
Both my quilted jackets have shipped! Yes! I adore the jackets! Already ordered 2 print knit tops/ leisure cards in pink/ blue with matching tanks and all have shipped/ happy camper!
Dear Louis, I wanted to know if the hoodie will come back at a future airing. I saw it being available for a short time in aqua and by the time I made up my mind on what I wanted to order it was no longer available. Aqua is one of my favorite colors, so I ordered 2 hoodies in peony pink and navy. I received them yesterday and they are so cute! I also ordered the cardi with buttons down the front yet to arrive. I love your new leisure line! Thank-you, Donna
Dear Donna…The Aqua is coming later this season along with the cardi in white and the tank /shell in white. The wait list was removed because anyone that would have wait listed it would automatically have been canceled. It the delivery of an item is two months out or more the wait list gets canceled by the computer…..I don’t know why they post them in the first place…..but have no fear the Aqua will be avail.
Will that be the same aqua as last year’s denim vest, jean jacket, ankle pants etc?
Very close
Dear Louis,
I very much enjoyed your shows! I went all-in on Linea Leisure, ordering the hoodie, pant, tank & cardigan in every color, knowing I’ll wear them a lot both casually & working from home. The one missing piece is the long skirt. Do you know when that will be available? Thanks.
Hi Louis,
Will the short sleeve v-neck sweater #A233944 be returning in new colors? That’s one of my all time favorite pieces.
Carol
Dear Carol, I don’t think so
I’m sorry to hear that. I hope that you’ll have other v-neck short sleeve whisper knits coming. Thanks for all you do. You are so appreciated!
Carol
Dear Louis
have listened to QVC presentation RE: peplum style top and sep. skirt. You refer to the QVC fabric as bit heavier than the fabric with rayon you have used for years. The QVC uses poly. – I cannot find on-line your offerings using rayon – a must have for this desert climate, as the poly becomes uncomfortable in the heat.
Please let me know, Thank you,
DesineDuenna
I’m sure LDO will answer but I do know that his pebble crepe pieces are largely rayon. Here are two pieces: A213621 and A255183. There may be others.
I’ll jump in here too as I live in a hot/humid climate most of the year. My favorite fabric is the Linea 96%rayon/4%span. These are from last year, but if you type in the item numbers there may be stock available in your size.
A253353 scoop neck tank
A229468 scoop neck tank
A254576 V-neck body suit
A253378 V-neck long sleeve pullover, chiffon sleeves
A254439 Asymmetric hem scoop neck tunic
A251582 V-neck long sleeve tunic, chiffon skirt
A252354 Pull-on maxi skirt THE BEST
A253405 Scoop neck tank dress
There may be more.
I should have mentioned that this is a knit fabric with stretch.
A252353 is the correct item number for the scoop neck tank that matches the pull-on skirt, A253353 is not the correct number. Many of these items are on limited quantity pricing.
Dear Ingrid….There are many things avail for your area and climate. Here are just a few: In rayon…A254436, top…A254438, matching skirt…A254439 top, A254318, dress….A252353 tank…A251582, tunic with chiffon….A232349, dress….Anything in PEBBLE CREPE, such as A213621 and A255182. There is also a PC pull-on crop pant that coordinates….There are some very very light weight cottons you should check out solid and print two of them being A254441 and A254440 in a batik print………I know you said you can’t wear poly, but there are some items in a very light weight poly jersey [not my classic poly span jersey] that many women in the south like Georgia, where it is HOT and HUMID, find very comfortable. A224278 flecked knit tank, A255670 flecked knit V-neck short sleeve and there is also a cardigan to match….these pieces are very light and relaxed….they really should work for you. Also the Feather Jersey is very cool in the heat. Again it is very light weight. I would compare it to a Logo fabric. Just click Feather Jersey in the side bar for all the styles. Some are the A233959, A233965 and the A255151, a dress that flows and is very easy.Read the reviews and see what the women are saying. There are many women who would swear by the Feather Jersey. Let me know how it turns out.
I agree the fleck knit items are great for all weans in my warm climate. They have a dry hand and they rinse out and dry in a jiffy. I am back for more.
I do not know what a “weans” is. I must have meant seasons!
Hi, Louis! I can’t wait to receive the new pieces I ordered yesterday. Will you be offering any 3/4 sleeve tops or jackets in this fabulous new line?
Dear Grits….as of now no 3/4 sleeves. What has been shown in the LL is it for Spring….the next group, which is much larger, will be for fall, and there are no 3/4 sleeves.
Thank you, Louis. Maybe for 2016! : )
Good Morning,
I missed both shows yesterday since I was attending a matinee of Tosca at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. I was dressed all in black Linea whisper knits with a strand of Honora tuxedo pearls. I felt comfy, but classy! Sorry to have missed the OTO jacket. This morning I checked my orders for the Linea Leisure that I placed on the day they were posted. I ordered 2 pairs of navy LL pants which were showing as available when I placed the order. They are now showing as backordered. Customer service told me that they did not have stock to fill the orders which were placed. They said it was better than waitlist. I ordered some of the coordinating pieces in navy, so I ‘m hoping my order will be filled. Do you know if more stock is expected?
Thank you!
Dear Chris….Your Tosca outfit sounds tres chic…I’m sure you had a great time, and was comfortable having it!….There is no back up orders for any items whether they are LL or Linea. I don’t know what all that QVC jargon means, but I hope you get your pants. In the mean time, if you purchased any of the navy tops, they will go with so many things…like jeans….that you should not have a problem working them into your wardrobe……You might want to consider wait list for the jacket. Try calling customer service and ask for the OTO price. You never know….as they say…”if you don’t ask…you won’t get”.
Bravo, Louis, great shows! I even managed to watch the QVC Plus on-line only show!
Question for you, please: will we ever see the regular length WK pull on skirt in Perfectly Pink. I know we had the long one once, but I’d really love the regular length—would love that with the new Aubergine Quilted Jacket! Thanks.
Dear Sheesh….the PP skirt you remember was in the ACRYLIC/WOOL, not in the WW, so I’m not sure how see though it would be. I have had many requests for ivory too, but again I’m not sure if it will work in WK. The yarn in the paler colors does not absorb as much dye so the feel is always lighter to the hand an sometimes thinner because the yarn isn’t as “plumped” up At this point there is quite a bit of inventory in the WK skirts so there is no plan to even reorder them at this point. If the inventory goes down then they might consider it. I even suggested doing it at two lengths….25″ and 21″ for spring…..we’ll have to wait and see.
Thanks for explaining why the weight of some yarns are different than others (like the 2fer in PP). You have explained the different knitting techniques i.e. regular jersey vs. ENR but I must have missed the dye color impact on the weight of the yarn. Thanks; learned something today. Great show; can’t wait to see my peony pink. All my loot shipped today (Saturday). I bought everything, as usual.
Oh my, Louis, as a “shortie” I’d love a 21″ WK pull on pencil skirt—fingers crossed that it might happen one day! Thanks.
Me TOO!!!
Louis and Jac, thank you for the great shows.
I find I’m living in my whisper knit pants (petite size 1X in Hunter Green and Black). This year’s version fit much better than the first version. Has QVC reordered them (A257386) for next year? I sure would like more of these very comfortable pants.
Also, do you know when we might expect to see the reorder of the recent wing collar blouse (A259103)?
The WK pants were not reorded, the wing collat shirt will be for early fall, not sure of the date.
Too bad about the WK pant. I too am wearing mine every day. It’s been FREEZING here in New England and not much warmth in sight. So I provide my own in my WK pants. On the worst days I wear thermals underneath 😉 I LIKE looking chic when it is blustery with the matching turtlenecks in hunter, navy and black and maybe a ruana or cape tossed on over the top.
I loved the look of the leather skirt with the top that Jac was wearing during this morning’s show. Would you consider making a leather skirt? I know leather items can be expensive to produce, but what if you did one with stretch panels in it like you have done with the leather jackets? I’d actually appreciate the comfort factor of the stretch fabric when sitting down.
Image already sketched it and it wasn’t chosen.
Bummer. Thanks for trying. I know you are always looking out for us.
That skirt would be perfect and would sell out in a minute! This from a woman who rarely wears skirts. I would be all over such a skirt.
When you presented the ponte knit top, A237398, you said the pebble crepe version will come next month. Are you referring to A213621? (Similar style, but with shorter sleeves)
Yes Sonia…THA’s the one.
Dear Louis,
I love the new necklaces shown today on QVC but can’t find them: the orb necklace and long logo chain neclace. Are these available? thank you, Mary
I believe they will be avail mid to late Feb.
Dear Louis,
Somehow I missed getting your response to my question. Would you mind repeating it? Will there be reorders on the Cotton Blende Swing Jacket (A87434) and the Mock Neck Elbow Length Sleeve Sweater (A87423)? I already have the yellow mock neck and swing jacket and the limoges blue mock neck. I would love to get the limoges blue jacket and see other colors in these two items as well. I like the elbow length of the sweater a lot.
Thanks for your help.
Hi Patti…I thought I did answer you….the jacket has come to the end of the road….it has not been reordered. The mock neck has been reordered and will be avil on my Feb. 9th show if not earlier.
Thanks, Louis. I’m glad to hear the mock neck is returning.
Love the new leisure line because I just retired and needed to stock up on casual pieces. There are three new colors of the raglan top available on waitlist. Are these early postings that will be cancelled like the aqua hoodie? It isn’t a problem I’ll just purchase additonal hoodies and a cardigan.
We retired to the beach and the shops are lovely but expensive and many are closed in the Winter. Linea Leisure came at the right time. Can’t wait for more offerings.
Susan…..these are early postings…so if you order now they may be canceled.
Hi Louis
When will the quilted jacket be offered?
Thanks
6:00pm
I just looked at a recap of Paris couture and LDO, so much green, so many greens, especially at Chanel and Armani. Will we be seeing much in this color for Linea fall 2015?
http://i.guim.co.uk/static/w-700/h–/q-95/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2015/1/28/1422441129717/33fc4804-fed8-409a-a0f8-3d943c9ced82-1358×2040.jpeg
Here and there…I saw the shows on Style.com….Armani was beautiful. I couldn’t tell from he shows if it was Couture Spring or Fall. Armani and Victor and Rolf [very strange] looked Spring Gautier and Dior looked Fall, and Chanel was riding the fence
I thought Chanel was overly theatrical in general, but several of the pieces were very wearable and you could imagine the embroidered floral tops, pleated joggers, etc. making their way from couture to H&M. Armani was my favorite.
Hi Louis,
I know you haven’t received your samples yet of the gunmetal palm frond jewelry, so I thought I would report back to you on mine. I received the earrings on Monday, and the long and short necklaces this afternoon. The gunmetal plating is really beautiful. They will look spectacular, particularly with black and charcoal.
I do want to note that on the long necklace I noticed that the way the palm fronds are attached to the chain is slightly different from the previous gold and silvertone long necklaces (of which I have two of each!). On the gold and silvertone, the fronds were connected directly at each end by a jump ring to the fine chain. On this new gunmetal, the frond has a slightly heavier chain for about 3/8″ before connecting to a jump ring and then the fine chain. The “look” is the same but I think this probably provides more support for the fronds and stability to the necklace.
Looking forward to the shows on Friday!
Louis, what color is “Topiary Green” on item A262037 at QVC? The Sage color looks kind of in the Olive Color Family on-line, just wondering what the difference is. Thanks so much.
It’s more of a pine green but not so dark….it really looks like the leaves on a Topiary
Hello Louis, the domed diamond bracelet and gunmetal Palm leaf earrings just arrived, love them. I have some similar bracelets that I found antiquing and will stack them “a la Louis”. Going to order the earrings in the gold. Looking forward to seeing you and Jac and thank you.
Good Morning,
This was an expensive morning! It was so hard to decide which colors to order in your newly posted Linea Leisure items. I know you said that the LL tunic would not fit under the LL cardigan, but I’m wondering if it will fit under the LL hoodie.
Thanks for your advice.
Dear Chris…..the shapes are totally different….both the hoodie and cardigan are similar with a slight waist shaping while the tunic is A-Line….they will not work together to my estimation.
Just thinking…I have the ponte knit zip front tunic in 3 colors. I think that will work when I need another layer over the LL tunic on cooler days. It is so hard to find outerwear pieces to wear over the popular tunics.
Louis, QVC has posted the Linea Leisure separates for ordering, and the color “aqua” is offered on waitlist for the hoodie. Is this a mistake, or will the hoodie be coming in aqua? I ordered one just in case, lol.
Dear Yvette….yes the hoodie will be eventually avail in Aqua….but not for a few months. I don’t know why they continue to post these “wait listed” colors that aren’t avail….and then CANCEL the wait list. The way they enter new colors that are ordered is crazy. Is Linea the only line that this early wait listing happens to??
Hi, Louis, will there be a matching LL Tank in the Aqua as well? I placed my order for the available LL pieces, now just waiting for the skirt to post. Safe trip tomorrow.
No…they just added the aqua in the hoodie and white in the cardigan for a later delivery….If you have the WK in Aqua it matches perfectly.
Will a White LL Shell be added at a later date???
Not as of now….I don’t know why we didn’t do white????
Just heard from buyer….White tank is coming in April….don’t know if that means avail in April or June.
That’s fabulous news…got to have a white one…
Ha, I have just about every WK top you offered in aqua so I’m set!
Hi Louis,
Can’t wait for the shows.
The moss top A26243 looks smaller in waist – BUT you said to size down or stay normal size. Just confirming
Also will the quilted jacket be on this show
Thanks and glad all was well on the Island
NJL; I have the new moss top. I stayed true to my Linea knitwear size (XS) and the fit is ideal. This is very stretchy so unless you’re really, truly between sizes, it’s my advice to say with your normal QVC Linea size for similar fabric garments.
Another question- Do you think that I could or should size down in the skirt?
I ordered a small in the ponte slim pants and perfect
I am narrow in bottom – weight in the middle
Thanks again and can’t wait for the shows
Again Kate said the skirt fit like the mosaic print which she got in her regular size. You have to read the measurements and compare them to another skirt. I really can’t make that call.
As you see Kate say to stay with your regular size in knitwear….Whatever you do….don’t size up.
Dear NJlady the quilted jacket will be on the 6pm show….each show has lots of new.
NJL–if you’re a size small please don’t wait for the show to order unless you really truly need to see it on a model. This size always seems to sell out and as I think this jacket is going to go fast (especially in blue), hate to see you miss out. Surely there will be a link on qvc.com as soon as it’s available! We may get lucky and have an OTO, but wouldn’t bet on it!
