…………………….MALACHITE…………is a marvelous Blue Green! ……There is no doubt about it………Columns of color are happening again! It had to happen…..after all the mad cap mixtures of unrelated prints and colors and accessories…..a CHIC & SOPHISTICATED COLUMN OF COLOR looks so RIGHT, SO REFRESHING!….. It looks POLISHED, MODERN & TIMELESS…..When Lisa speaks of Madison Ave, for me, it’s about women who dress in the most CURRENT and ELEGANT way. It’s not about trends or fads….that’s for the down town girls and that’s OK….but that’s about…..”disposable fashion”…. clothes that are in one minute and out the next…………..THIS way of dressing….. is the TOTAL OPPOSITE of disposable fashion…… Under the MALACHITE TOPPER, A238159, I have anchored each look above with a MALACHITE WK SWEATER, and there are many to choose from…. ..A237402 the cardigan, A237404 the tank, A237405 the classic jewel neck [shown above],and A237411 the V-neck tunic worn with the A237412 WK pencil skirt…..shown above….all work to create that COLUMN of COLOR. I think it’s a glorious way to look and it will work for anyone  in any size……For evening, with all the gold and color jewelry, I recommend a beautiful Classic….SOLID GOLD….HIGH HEELED POINTY TOE PUMP….a lower heel will work too……As I said earlier….Jac and I were browsing through Bergdorfs and Jac wanted to see what was new in the shoe department…….whether they are for you or not….EVERY SHOE….except Chanel’s classics ………….were POINTY TOES & NOT ONE PLATFORM ANYWHERE!!!!! I have been telling the QVC models that for months, but they can’t go out and buy all new shoes….LOL….For the most HIGH FASHION and the MOST EXPENSIVE DESIGNER shoe lines….PLATFORMS ARE DEFINITELY OUT………it had to happen. I have also shown above the same MALACHITE TOPPER and WK sweaters worn with a simple BLACK PENCIL SKIRT and a BLACK PANT……………..DO NOT BE AFRAID OF COLOR………..I GUARANTEE COMPLIMENTS will be ABUNDANT! I must tell you, as hard as I try to match everything perfectly, the Malachite of the Topper and the Malachite WK sweaters are slightly off……but they still look GREAT together. If you tried to find a better match….you couldn’t……In the photos above, besides the new GLASS BEAD choker necklace and the cross….this time in the GOLD/EMERALD and SAPPHIRE combination, I have added the J284036, GOLD BEAD & EMERALD BEAD LONG NECKLACE which is avail to purchase NOW…..When these looks go on PM STYLE I know the necklaces will fly…..there aren’t that many of them!. When wearing an outfit as simple as this COLUMN of GREEN….it can take LAYERING ON THE JEWELRY…..If you haven’t noticed….I am not a minimalist……MORE is always BETTER!…………………………………….it’s a LOOK right off the  RUNWAY!!………………………………………………………….

………………………LAPIS BLUE………….is a RICH,  INCREDIBLE color, created by Mother Earth, and it is truly breathtaking!….. This LAPIS is so rich and SATURATED that it was impossible for me to capture it in the photos, but if you already own a Whisper Knit sweater in the Lapis….you now what I mean. For each of the collages, I wanted to show the COLUMN OF COLOR, so your eye will become accustomed to the “LOOK”. Maybe some of you are dressing this way already….but….in color it’s different than all BLACK. I have been noticing designers such as Gucci, YSL, Valentino, DIOR, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega, Donna Karan and Alexander McQueen, to name a few, all having columns of color appearing here and there on the runway…..some more than others………..showing these columns of color in suits, dresses and separates…..all with tonal hose and shoes…..it just looks right. Should you be dressed like this every day….of course not, but when you want to look especially pulled together……..pull it together with a column of COLOR….you just can’t miss!……The WK sweater above is A237410, the SCOOP NECK PEASANT SWEATER. I have been asked if this is running big, because the bust measurement is larger than normal. THIS is a PEASANT SWEATER with SHIRRING around the neckline and a RAGLAN sleeve, so of course there will be slightly more fabric than a basic sweater and the measurement will be bigger….it should be. The extra drape is what creates the PEASANT LOOK. I would not recommend sizing down….this is as it should be! I think the PEASANT SWEATER is  a wonderful change under a jacket, or in this case the LAPIS TOPPER, than always wearing a basic more tailored sweater. There is a little more fantasy and femininity to a peasant type sweater……..It can go casual with jeans, but it can also add the right touch with the new SEQUIN SKIRT…….glam it up with a gold belt….chain or leather…….or as I have shown ….just worn loose  over a WONDERFUL  pair of LAPIS GABERDINE TROUSERS!!!!!!!coming in OCT………… This is a look that put Halston on the map, and I am happy to bring it back to life…..actually, on the last fall cover of Bergdorf Goodman’s Designer catalog, they showed a GUCCI heavy silk tunic and matching pant all in LAPIS BLUE……..so this is definitely a trend that is happening……………………….enjoy…………….much Love……………………Louis

The fourth top in the “LINEA PONTE” is A237384, the STAND COLLAR TUNIC………Some of you may recognize this tunic from a very popular style I did a few years ago in my Roma Ponte. The tunic sold out and had a huge wait list. It was going to be reordered, but the fabric mill would not make the knit ponte again. QVC’s policy, rightly so, is all reorders MUST be the same as what was previously shipped, so we couldn’t substitute the fabric, and the style was not continued. When the opportunity came to create a Linea Ponte OLO group…..I thought of that TIMELESS tunic. The new tunic in the Linea Ponte is almost the same but not quite. The major change is the collar. The first one had a STAND AWAY collar which gave it a very RETRO look. I decided I wanted the new version to have a more MODERN feel, so I brought the collar in. There is still plenty of room to layer a T-neck, but it is definitely a little closer to the neck. All of the other details are basically the same…………….the button front, the slant pockets, and the 3/4 length sleeve are details that I have kept. All of the measurements that you would need to help decide what size to order are listed on the Linea QVC site. Personally, I think your normal size will be just fine…..IF…..you like things a little over sized, one size up will work too………..To make shopping easier….there is now a reference to each category in the box with the model’s picture on the Linea site……all you have to do is click onto the “Linea Ponte”….and it will take you to all the ponte styles…….This is a new addition to the Linea page………………………..The tunic above is in the new vibrant……………………………SAPPHIRE………………………….I have chosen to show it to you with all BLACK, but NAVY, CHARCOAL, WINTER WHITE, and even WALNUT will work beautifully with this BLUE………………….The earring is coming  for the Holidays…………scroll down for more…………………………………………………enjoy…………………..much Love………………………….Louis

BLACK & CHARCOAL………….are two additional colors being offered in the STAND COLLAR LINEA PONTE TUNIC, A237384. This can be a real work horse in your wardrobe as it can take on many characters depending on what you put it with……..jeans or a pencil skirt work equally well…………REMEMBER…….there is also a MATCHING PULL-ON PANT, A237394, for that COLUMN OF COLOR LOOK. There is a very good photo of  it on the Linea  QVC site and you can really see how the curved waist band sits….and fits. I will be showing it many times on my Sept 25th show. They are the perfect pant to wear because the top is flat and clean, so when you are wearing tops over the pant, which most of the time you do, the top will remain clean without buttons or zippers showing…………I predict…..they will go quick………they are a great everyday basic pant……easy care…..easy wear! …………………….The cross earring and multi cross necklaces are back! in both the MATTE SILVER and the MATTE GOLD………..it’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas presents and the set works for women of ALL ages……………………………………………………………….enjoy………………………………..much Love……………………………..Louis

WALNUT …………is the fourth and final color being offered in the “Linea Ponte” STAND COLLAR TUNIC. Once again, I have decided to0 show it over all black, I love the two together, but there are many ways you can add color if you choose to. REMEMBER…..this WALNUT matches last years WALNUT…so….if you have the WK WALNUT PANT, they will work very well together……if you don’t, or even if you do, but you want another walnut pant….the PONTE pant will be in the matching WALNUT……….it’s always a good thing to have the matching pant when it’s available!
