……..The “KATE” shirt, A214116, is back……As you see from my collage above….it has NEVER been away………The new color is…………..BUTTER YELLOW………..It is a warn pale yellow with pink, not green, undertones.If you own the OPEN FRONT KIMONO CARDIGAN, A233950, shown above, then you know exactly what the color is……they work beautifully together…………….For those of you who are new to the Linea brand….this is the brief story of the Kate shirt….My wife, who is a WHITE SHIRT lover….and who will on rare occasions wear a color…….was always on the search for a good white shirt that didn’t cost $200. Most of the shirts she found  didn’t have a good fit, were made badly, and were see through…..and still cost way to much for what they were…..so…..my task was to come up with a white shirt that would please her and many of you who kept asking for the ideal shirt. Searching the fabric market for the right cotton was futile so I had this cotton developed. It is a cotton span blend, but it also has a fine twill construction which gives it more density…..no see through. My next step was to have the right style and finishes…..so….I sent one of my dress shirts to the factor with the pattern and asked them to copy all of the mens details…….down to the COLLAR STAYS…..Where do you find a woman’s shirt with collar stays?….It makes a difference….no curling collars. One of my “song birds” who kept asking for this kind of shirt was Kate…..a la the “Kate Shirt”……Yes, it is all cotton without any man made fibers except for the spandex for stretch, and the cotton has not been chemically treated to prevent wrinkling….so some light pressing may be required……but, to a true cotton shirt lover this is a small price to pay…..If you never pull out an iron or don’t use the dry cleaners then honestly this shirt may not be  for you……………………..Above, are three examples of the Kate shirt…the new BUTTER YELLOW, and the most popular WHITE….and Blue, a true menswear color. ………………………….CLAY was one of the new colors introduced this Fall………..Layer it with the CLAY WK TURTLENECK, and the CLAY FAUX SHETLAND BOYFRIEND CARDIGAN, and you have a wonderful mono chromatic look with three different textures. Add the tonal CHOCOLATE BEADS and DEMI HOOP EARRING…..and it’s all very “designer”…….Strip away the layers, and wear the Clay shirt with Khaki pants or natural LINEN pants…..and you transition right into Spring and Summer………you can even wear the same jewelry!………………………..enjoy…………..much Love………………………Louis

……………..STONE…..was another NEW NEUTRAL color this fall, and it truly goes with anything…..Wear it with any of the colors of the Faux Shetland sweaters and it picks up the heather color in each sweater. Mixed with the new CHARCOAL GREY WK CARDIGAN is instant chic…….Layered with the new WK STONE SHORT SLEEVE SWEATER and the STONE SLIM PANT, and you are ready for Spring…..remove the sweater and you are ready for SUMMER……I know I am!…………There are many other colors to choose from in this marvelous shirt….PALE OLIVE….forecasted to be a BIG color for next fall…….the new GREY….another big color for next fall….though I happen to love grey with white and lots of silver for the spring and summer……..Sea Green….a saturated tropical color……………….enjoy…………….much Love………………Louis

……….With each group of clothing I like to introduce a new print…..not always, but when I find…..or  develop a print that “speaks” to me……I am inspired to create a garment to show if off at its best….Out of all the garments you can buy, prints are probably the most personal….you either like them or you don’t….the reaction is often instant….it must “sing” to you!…….This print I call the “Ombre Medallion”, because the background of the print is an ombred field…..where the color is dark at the top and gets paler as you go down……I think of the medallions as “FALLING MEDALLIONS”. As they descend down to the hem, and the background color gets paler, the medallions spread out…..sort of emulating the ombre………..This is an ENGINEERED  PLACEMENT PRINT ………meaning the pattern is designed to fit the pattern…..and each top will be exactly the same..Notice how the pattern on the sleeve lines up with the pattern on the body…..This is the opposite of a “random print”……Engineered and placement prints are more expensive then “all over random” prints, because the pattern has to be placed perfectly, and the garment needs to be cut exactly….whereas with a random print the pattern can be placed anywhere which saves fabric consumption…..just a piece of info that explains why some prints, on the same fabric, cost more than others……………The color above is………SIENNA……….a rich warm cinnamon spicy color…..The medallions are outlined in black…..making black an easy bottom option. The ivory ground is an eggshell color. I also love the TAUPE SUPER PONTE PANT, A257338, shown above, which blends seamlessly with the top………The FREE FORM NECKLACE, J317652, in the ROOT BEER/GUNMETAL…. is the perfect accessory. If you own the J288007 spaced bead necklace in the spice….it is the perfect necklace to layer with the other……..The fabric you all know…..it is the Poly/span that I use frequently for my prints. For those of you who already own this fabric….you already know how easy care it is, and what terrific travel pieces these are…..The silhouette is simple and easy. The neckline has a gentle scoop….the sleeves are long……and the body is slim at the top and flares at the bottom creating a nice swing……It is approx 29 inches in length for the XS…………This is a piece that easily fits into anyone’s life style…..any time of year!……………………………………………………………………………………………….

……………….The color is being called OLIVE, and it is a deep Olive at the top, but the major color is a wonderful rich OCHRE………It’s a  golden color that keeps changing, and becomes CITRINE as it descends to the hem. The OLIVE SLIM PANT, A259702 is the perfect compliment…….I know there will be questions about the necklace. It was an alternative color to the root beer/gunmetal……we went with the root beer and dropped the citrine, so it’s just for inspiration…..you can always go with your Gunmetal beads, Black beads or your spaced Jet necklace which will be perfect………This is a very special color, and it may not be for everyone….but if you know this is for you…..it is a wonderful unique color, and you will look unique wearing it……………………………………………enjoy………………………………much Love…………………………………………………….Louis
